On his account – dozens of sorties, bombardment of important strategic facilities of the enemy, including the German capital at the beginning of the war as a response to the actions of the Nazis, and after the war – more than three decades of selfless work at the heavy engineering plant in Kolomna.
Sergey Ivanovich was born in 1918 on October 6 in one of the suburban villages. After seven years and school, FZU worked as a turner at the Kolomna factory, from where in 1938 he was drafted into the army. He was trained in aviation school, fought with the Finns and Germans. Demobilized in 1946, he lived and worked in Kolomna, where he graduated from the technical school of machine tool building, and then improved his education at the Moscow Institute. After many years he headed the design bureau, engaged in important developments at the heavy machine tool factory in Kolomna.
Sergey Ivanovich made his last flight in 2000, on the eve of the 55th Victory celebration, climbing with the instructor into the sky over Kolomna by plane, more than five decades after the previous flight. Sergey Ivanovich died on August 27, 2007.
