Teppei Koike is a Japanese film actor from Osaka. Koike attended Dai-3 High School in Osaka and was a member of a basketball club. In 2001, Tappei entered Nagano High School. During this period, his physical education teacher was Hiroshima Sadakazu, who later became an assistant referee during the World Cup in 2006. In 2002, Tappei moved to Tokyo, where he continued his studies at Horikoshi High School. He formed a duet with Wentz Agee of the same agency, starting with street performances. When he first managed to come to the agency, he was immediately told that there was a boy of his age who played bass and piano. That's how they got to know each other. Koike starred in the drama Tentai Kansoku, which became his debut as an actor.
In early 2004, an independent recording studio published WaT’s debut studio work, Sotsugyo TIME, the same year he graduated from Horikoshi High School.
