Prakash Raj is a popular Indian composer, producer and director from Mangalore. Raj entered one of the theaters of Karnataka. However, he soon realized that theatrical work could not provide it. At first, Prakash was interrupted by casual earnings: he composed dialogues, took part in combat scenes, was a reporter, designer, model for comics. He began his acting career with the TV series Guddada Bhootha and Door Darshan in 1991.

He began his acting career with the TV series Guddada Bhootha and Door Darshan in 1991.
The next stage in his career was the role in the film Harakeya Kuri in 1993, where Gita starred, who drew attention to the actor, presenting him to a famous director.
Bhumiki Chavla . After this role, the actor was flooded with proposals. In 2007, he became a producer of the film Mozhi, playing a comedy role in it. The picture became a real hit, and the actor managed to prove that he is able to perform both the roles of villains and comedy heroes.
In 2003, the following incident took place in Indian cinema. Eight films from Karnataka, Anhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu were nominated for the national award for Best Actor. And in each of these eight films starred the same actor – Prakash Raj.
The jury was surprised by the diversity of the actor and his ability to work in so many South Indian languages. As a result, a special award was established – “For contribution to the cinema of South India”.
