After the army he entered the workshop of Marlena Khutsiev and finished it in 1993. He worked as an editing assistant at Gorky's film studio. He has published radio plays and films and translated Woody Allen’s books. Co-author of music for the film by Marlene Khutsiev “Infinity”, author of advertising films.
He shot the documentary television series “Subscription” – “video memoirs” of the translator Liliana Lungina. Filming began in 1997, and then for eleven years Oleg Dorman could not find co-producers to finish the film, until under the patronage of Leonid Parfyonov in 2008, the Rossiya channel co-produced. Subscription, which was screened by Russia from July 6 to 9, 2009, was a relative success, including becoming a popular documentary on file-sharing networks. There's no DVD release planned.
