Tarja Vesos made his debut in 1923 with The Child of Man, but became widely known with the publication in 1934 of the novel The Great Game. His most famous works are The Ice Palace (1963), the story of two girls who develop an emotional connection that ends tragically, and the novel The Birds (1957).
Vesos died on March 15, 1970.
