Justin was born on January 29, 1977 in Knoxville, Illinois. He spent his childhood in Orland Park, along with his older brother Nathan and younger sisters Megan and Gabriela. In high school, he was a professional basketball player, as well as baseball and football. The injury forced him to leave the sport. After school, he received his education at the Southern University of Illinois and the University of Illinois at Chicago in the departments of theater and history. On December 26, 2000, Justin and his university friend Gil traveled to Los Angeles in a truck that broke down twice. Justin arrived in the city of stars with $324 in his pocket, feeling like Beverly Hillbilai. After working on commercial radio broadcasts and a telephone exchange, Hartley was offered the role of Nicolas Crane in the NBC series Passion. There he met his future wife, Lynsey Corman. The wedding ceremony took place on May 1, 2004, and their daughter Isabella Justice was born on July 3 of the same year. In this project, Justin played from December 17, 2002 to February 10, 2006. Subsequent work was the series Aquaman, based on comics. Justin got the lead role of Arthur Curry. Only the pilot. Due to low ratings, the series was canceled, despite the fact that the pilot was nominated for iTunes. Not despairing of failure, Justin starred in seven episodes of the sixth season of Smallville as Oliver Queen/Green Arrow. Justin has three films, two of which are finished. Race You to the Bottom (2005) and Spring Breakdown (2007)
