Lee Jae-hoon, realizing that he wanted to become an actor, dropped out of the biotechnology faculty at Korea University and entered the drama school of Korea National University of Arts. From 2006 to 2010, he starred in more than eighteen student short films and indie films, including the notorious work in the melodrama "Only Friends?". At the same time, he managed to get a couple of secondary roles: in the erotic thriller "The Servant, or the True Story of Ban-Ja" and the romantic comedy "In Search of Mr. Destiny." 2011 was a turning point for the actor. Critics noted two of his works at once: in the indie drama Cold Night and the war film Front Line. The growth of popularity was also promoted by the role of a shy student in the hit melodrama “Introduction to Architecture” and the less noticeable, but demonstrated his acting versatility, the role of a chaebol in the drama “King of Fashion”.
Lee’s next successful project was the comedy drama My Paparotti, where his colleague on the set was veteran actor Han Suk Gyu.

2017 was a very busy and fruitful year for the actor. At the beginning of the year, he hit TV screens, starring in the romantic drama Tomorrow with You, and this was his first experience in such a genre. Also this year, he starred in the films "Pak Yel" (the second title of the film "Anarchist from the Colony") and "I Can Talk".
In October 2019, Lee Jae-hoon, together with director Yang Kyung-mo and producer Kim Yoo-kyung, co-founded the production company Hard Cut Co., Ltd.
