Jean began his career with work at the National Association for the Protection of Birds of Bavaria and the study of geology and biology. In the early 1990s, Haft began working as an assistant on the set of films about the animal world. In 1996 he founded the company Nautilus TV, which in 2001 became Nautilusfilm, one of the most successful in the German film industry for the production of films about nature.
Haft shoots pictures about both exotic and European representatives of the animal world (series “Wild Germany”).
