Petrov’s father is an interpreter from Italian, his mother is a German teacher. When Dmitry Petrov studied in the fifth grade, he began to study at first English, and then German. By the end of school he was able to read freely in Italian, French, German and English.
Dmitri was able to learn French and Italian on his own, from books that filled his family’s home. After graduating from school, Petrov entered the Moscow State Institute of Foreign Languages without complications, after which he became a teacher in it. This is where his main career came from.
Officially, it is believed that he is fluent in thirty foreign languages, but in reality he constantly uses only eight, including English, French, Czech, German, Italian, Greek, Hindi and Spanish.
According to Petrov, each person is able to master the basics of a foreign language in just a week, it is only a matter of right motivation. But you can get acquainted with the language and begin to understand it quite quickly.
