Ravel was born one of the largest cities in Brazil, Porto Alegre, on November 28, 1991 in a creative family. In addition to Julio, he has two brothers, Conrado and Mathieu, but they have not chosen an acting career. Ravel began to play on the stage at the age of 16 in his native Porto Alegre, studying acting under the guidance of Ze Adao Barbosa, as well as taking a course at the Teatro de Porto Alegre and a film actor course with Sergio Pen. He later moved to São Paulo.
In 2011, he took part in the play O Mambembe directed by Barbosa, in 2012 – in the play Jogo da Vida directed by Michel Capelletti, in 2012 – in the play Pop Hamlet directed by Alexander Dill. In the cinema began to appear in 2010 in small roles.
