The poet's horror American director Walter Groman has shot a number of thrillers, detective stories about murderers. I remember the painting from his work "Nightmare on the 13th floor" and just this "Woman in a cage." Now the second mentioned film attracts attention solely because of the actors who once starred in it, or rather Olivia De Havilland and James Caan.
Before us one fateful and unexpected day in the life of the rich poet Cornelia. The intelligent person had to experience a real horror that happened at her home. The woman was stuck in her own elevator and could not get out of it. Her cries for help heard an alcoholic and shamelessly began to rob the house of the poetess. Not only that, he soon came with other, doubtful personalities, and now not only the property was threatened by the woman in the cage, but also her life. . .
This psychological thriller makes the acting of famous personalities and the tension that stood in the film intriguing. The winner of two Academy Awards for Best Actress had to drag this film, and De Havilland coped with a hurrah. This is her clean play.
The poet Cornelia, such a fragile, precise nature, a man of creativity and enlightenment, faced with real animals, freaks, in a world ruled only by force and violence. Two worlds collided in the face of her and the robbers, and the viewer is waiting for a heartbreaking story.
The young James Caan was a pleasure to see. Of course, he will always be associated with the cult film The Godfather, but the role of the unscrupulous and cruel Randan Simpson brought the actor fame, and then he was noticed: new roads opened for the actor.
The movie itself is far from a masterpiece. Its positive qualities are psychological and tension, the shocking madness that weighs on the viewer with this story, and as I said, good acting. The film will tickle the nerves of fans of the genre, but Olivia De Havilland as a victim was especially pleasant to watch and enjoy her image.
Lady in a Cage is an American psychological thriller with elements of a 1964 drama. The result, a movie for lovers of something sharp and crazy, well, for connoisseurs of good acting skills.
I am neutral about the painting.
