White and black. I paid attention to this film because of the poster and description. As is known from the abstract, the symptoms of Agatha's "disease": snobbery, ruthlessness, intolerance, racism. But a completely different disease will be a real test for her - Addison's disease, a rare disease that will change the color of the heroine's skin and force her to reconsider her views on interethnic relations in society.
At the beginning of the film are light playful titles in cartoon style.
I had no idea it was a musical.
Immediately seemed familiar actress, playing the main role – Valerie Lemercier. It turned out that I had seen her in at least five films before and nowhere did I remember her. But in Agatha Cleary, her performance of a French businesswoman with an extremely negative attitude towards people with other racial characteristics looks very interesting and in the image of a black woman with a lush hair, I liked her much more than fair-skinned.
Jacques Boudet and Dominique Lavanan, who played the parents of Agatha Clary, were also impressed. They turned out to be very soulful, preserved warmth among themselves, and an elderly married couple cozy in their home, loving their only daughter, despite her difficult character.
The two ladies-girlfriends and Agatha’s first date during screen time, in my opinion, are fully disclosed. One girlfriend (Valentine Varela) is clearly slightly jealous of Agatha and is not averse to smiling contentedly when Agatha, who is successful in all spheres, begins to have problems due to the changes occurring with her due to her illness. Another girlfriend (Izabel Nanti) is a real one, who with Agatha and in grief, and in joy, will always find a reason to cheer up and at the end of the tape so optimistically gets acquainted with the lawyer of Agatha. Arthus de Pengern reliably portrayed a hen-heeled man who does not have his own opinion, grazes before any difficulties and does not have the courage to say important things to Agatha in his face.
Great boss dad and boss sons. It would seem that they are given only 5-10 minutes of screen time in the film, but these characters are remembered (from the first minutes and the epic passage along the corridor).
It was nice to see the extras performing dance and song numbers - attractive and interesting faces. By the way, these numbers are one of the greatest advantages of the picture. Occurs sometimes in a very unexpected place, sometimes in an unusual form. The first room on the platform of the station with people in business suits is very impressive, stylish. I also remember a song about racism, a dance to Michael Jackson, a dance at a disco. But I think Valerie did not dance herself - just look at her face in the scene of the love dance at first sight, you can see that it is superimposed with the help of a computer (this is what the technique has come to).
The moral of the film is read quite clearly and is glad that the main character has overcome the difficult path of achieving harmony with herself and the world around her.
Totally. In this movie, you can find real characters, a worthy actor’s embodiment, an interesting plot, ironic dances and songs, light humor (“Daddy, well, Agatha was white before, but then fell ill”), as well as funny final credits (about the doctor, doctor, bosses – literally 1 minute). But I thought the movie was a little long, especially the love story in the second half. And that's why.
