Hunter hunting The original film is called Hunter's Mining. Based on the plot, this title is much more suitable for the film than “The Last Hunter”.
Plot
Good idea, pretty interesting story. It has a number of unexpected turns, when you are already building in your head a further assumed line of development, and you are presented with a surprise that destroys it and requires the construction of a new one. At least 4 such turns are remembered.
It begins with the fact that a spacecraft carrying a mysterious captive crashes on an uninhabited desert planet as a result of the actions of this very captive who made his escape. Several soldiers survive, who are tasked with finding this prisoner and taking him alive. Initially, it is not clear who this prisoner is, who the soldiers are, many questions arise “what”, “why” and “why”. As the film progresses, these issues are gradually clarified.
Directorial work, acting skills
Given the film’s very low budget (only $425,000), it’s pointless to expect some famous actors in a movie like this. But those actors who were picked up, played their roles very well, getting used to the role well. The film itself to some extent resembles an amateur, which spoils the overall picture, but at the same time gives it a sense of some realism and participation.
Soundtracks
I do not remember absolutely what better than if they were terrible and cut the hearing.
Graphics
In this respect (given the modest budget), the film was very surprising. Of course, it feels that the graphics are much inferior to films with a high budget, but at the same time everything turned out quite lookable. Add to this excellent realistic costumes and equipment of the characters of the film, made in the spirit of “Star Wars”, as well as quite beautiful landscapes of desert terrain, which are perceived even better than computer landscapes that have become the norm.
In general, given the very low budget of the film, we can say that the creators squeezed out of it an order of magnitude more than required.
10 out of 10
(Like a low-budget film)
