Courtyard window By 1954, not many brilliant films were made. One of them can certainly be considered a “window to the courtyard”. Moreover, he is brilliant and rare in everything: a simple script, excellent camera work, a chicly selected cast of actors, where a couple of Grace Kelly and James Stewart shine in the center, and even Alfred Hitchcock on the director's chair. But the main feature of the film is its mysterious and addictive atmosphere. The whole movie takes place within one room. How many movies come to mind actions that do not go out of one room? Professional photographer Al B. Jeffreys (James Stewart) is forced to stay at home because of a broken leg. Occasionally he is visited by his nurse Stella and the main diamond of the film model friend Lisa Fremont (Grace Kelly). The bedroom window, in which the hero is throughout the film overlooks the courtyard. From nothing to do, Jeffreys begins to observe the lives of neighbors in the yard: a couple of newlyweds, a ballerina, a composer, a single middle-aged woman on the first floor, etc. Jeffreys comes to taste and as a result of observations, he unexpectedly comes to the conclusion that a murder occurred in one of the apartments. Here begins the classic Hitchcock detective with many small details and a minimum of characters and a magnificent suspense finale, where the main character and the villain of the film will converge in an unequal struggle. The script of the film was simply licked to perfection, which until the last second does not give the viewer its main secret. Another great detective, Alfred Hitchcock. Undoubtedly his best film, but in terms of the roundness of the detective, he turned out to be a little rustic and lags behind in this respect from his other work "In case of a murder, type "M.
"
But this is not necessary in this work.
