In this part there is even a semblance of plot intrigue. Rocky keeps evolving. How to make such a leap forward, apart from a brain transplant, I don’t know. The fight at the end is like boxing. Rocky already knows how to evade and put up protection, does not slow down all the blows with his face. But the natural question is, how could a world champion not be able to box for so many years? .
So, after watching 3 Rocky parts, I want to say that the third part is on par with the second. I don’t know if I like the number 3, or if the third part of the films is the best, because this is the third time in a series of films, the third part is very good. The point is that the second part, despite its emotional component, still shows a little reverse Rocky, not the real one, who spends his money on all sorts of trinkets, cars, a fur coat for his wife, a house that his wife does not like. And the third part, to some extent, continues to lay this character, because he brags about his skills to fans, but in the end loses everything. But I loved the originality of Rocky and how embarrassed he is when a statue is erected in his honor. Or, when he again gives up, but if in the previous part, no one supported him, and he did not know where to find his place, and to whom to go for support, then immediately on the contrary, statues are erected in his honor, he is loved, and supported. But he doesn’t want to fight because it’s the first time he’s scared, and it shows the real Rocky.
Despite the fact that Rocky himself, said that after the 2nd part of the idea for new films in the series he ran out, still he was a little cunning, and did everything for the joy of fans. And, indeed, the dialogue became more elaborate, and reminded me of the 1st part, because of the abundance of emotions on the faces of the characters and their games.
Music has also become more, the legendary song plays much more often than in previous parts.
And, overall, the film really hasn't rolled, and it doesn't look like a laughing stock against its younger brothers. In some places it even looked more interesting and fascinating.
When Sylvester Stallone finally managed to break into the big screens and become famous along with the role of boxer Rocky Balboa, he decided to further independently pave the path of his hero not only as an actor and screenwriter, but also as a director. It was Stallone who put the second part, which also fell in love with critics and viewers, and then took up Rocky 3, which recouped all costs and became another cult sports film.
Our meeting with Rocky comes after he became a true champion, putting on the shoulder blades of all the opponents that only he sees. The name Rocky flashes literally everywhere, he has multi-million dollar advertising contracts, he is adored both in his native Philadelphia and around the world. It seems that the fame of Balboa a priori can not fade, but here on the arena climbs a certain Clubber Lang and it threatens Rocky with great trouble.
Clubber is young and strong, he destroys everyone who goes into the ring with him at one glance and Rocky is not at all easy to cope with such an opponent. The biggest problem is with the champion himself. He was so used to easy victories that he lost his grip. Now it must be returned by all available means, because Rocky is a real boxer and without victories he simply can not live!
In the third "Rocky" mixed a variety of genres, including sports drama and real comedy. But at the same time, the film looks holistic and it is interesting to follow the development of the plot from the beginning, when the hero fought in the ring with Hulk Hogan, and ending with the final clash with Klebber Lang, where literally the bones cracked under the blows of unyielding fighters.
It’s nice that Stallone has not forgotten about Apollo Creed, with whom Rocky Balboa used to fight in the ring for the title, and now they have become virtually best friends. This shows that the story develops and the characters have every opportunity to forget long-standing grievances and move on. Well, Mr. T is beautiful as Clubber Lang and causes the audience as much hatred as necessary, and not one iota less.
Maybe the drama in Rocky 3 has become less in comparison with previous films, but still Sylvester Stallone gives a great result and gives the world another round of an unforgettable meeting with the best screen boxer in the history of cinema.

In the world there is an incredibly popular expression “American Dream”, symbolizing the achievement of special goals under the auspices of hard work and luck, which bear their special fruits in the territory of the star-striped flag. And Sylvester Stallone, like no other, tried to do everything possible to make the difficult action, conflicts with parents and upbringing at school for difficult teenagers remain in the distant past. Having received an artistic education and spent many performances on the stage, Stallone eventually found himself in the cinema, where he managed to realize his true potential. At the beginning of his career, not hesitated to take on the most risky, overly frank appearances on the screen, over time, the actor rose to episodic appearances in major Hollywood projects, and then became a screenwriter responsible for Rocky, which later became considered one of the best sports films in history. At the same time, Stallone himself played the main role in the film by John Avildsen, thereby securing a special status in the Hollywood sky. And although the original Rocky ended with a strong, confident scene, the box office and folk adoration prompted Stallone to continue working with the restless Balboa and send him back into the ring. Developing the dramatic basis of the sequel, Stallone conceived to show the audience a far non-standard story in which the joy of triumph is replaced by an addictive daily routine. But at the same time, the viewer had to feel a special charge of inspiration, from which Rocky had to go through another exhausting fight, which turned out to be a great result for him. Thus, Stallone made his hero an absolute winner on all fronts, giving the public emotions that logically continued a series of experiences from the original. A pleasant addition to the predominantly positive criticism of Rocky 2 was excellent box office, after which Stallone began writing the script of a regular third part, while continuing to consolidate his position as a director. Of course, to surprise the audience with something as dramatic and soulful as it was with the previous parts, Stallone was difficult, and nevertheless he managed to create an interesting, rich in extraordinary events, a bright film that pleased fans of the franchise with its traditionally defiant fighting spirit.
So, the plot of the film unfolds three years after Rocky Balboa (Stallone) managed to accomplish the seemingly impossible and in an incredibly dramatic duel defeated Apollo Creed (Carl Weathers), who was previously the champion. Having become a real favorite of the public, Rocky considered that he should not give up the privileges and fees that big boxing gives, and continued the successful defense of titles, during which rivals were literally demolished by a fierce athlete. Not stopping there, Rocky competently invested his fame in numerous related products like T-shirts and tea mugs. In addition, Balboa’s face does not come off TV channels, newspaper strips and banner ads. Thus, the ex-boyfriend from the street, who knocked out debts for a petty mobster and even tried to work as a loader in a meat factory, finally got even with the unhappy past, reaching the true essence of the American dream. But along with the acquisition of self-confidence came risks that are not as easy to cope with as it may seem, because the increased pride and self-confidence can play a joke with even the most impeccable fighter. And very soon Rocky Balboa will have to feel it on himself.
Swimming in the rays of love and fame, Rocky at first did not take seriously a certain Clubber Lang (Mr. T), a big muscular guy who is ready to enter the ring against the reigning champion and teach him the proper lesson. But when Lang hurts Rocky’s loved ones, he has no choice but to join the fight and teach a lesson to an arrogant challenger who overly arrogantly throws words. Being confident in his victory and not noticing the outright traps, Rocky thus makes a grave mistake and in an instant falls from heaven to earth, which has not happened to him, probably, since the days of poor youth in the poor ghetto. Having learned the taste of big money, respect for the public and the good life, the hero was in a deep knockdown and he needed something more than the desire to return to win back his right. And thanks to the fact that Rocky is not just a great athlete, but also a real person, he quickly formed a circle of support, with which you can move even mountains. And even such a magnitude as Clubber Lang, is not issued by something that can not be taken and overstepped. The main thing is to moderate arrogance, gain the will and do everything possible and impossible to win. And as we know, Rocky has repeatedly brought fate to his knees and proved that the guy from the street is sometimes capable of dizzying deeds.
Not wanting to dwell on the life-affirming finale of "Rocky 2", Sylvester Stallone from the first frames of the film is increasing momentum, in a dynamic form showing us what happened to Rocky until we saw him on the screen in view of the employment of the lead actor in other projects. Trying to demonstrate the real potential of Rocky in a slicing that did not cause doubts about his undoubted boxing talent, Stallone introduced us to the court of an unsurpassed idol who wants to see as much as possible and literally catch every word he said on a live program or during a press conference. And a show fight with a wild wrestler performed by Hulk Hogan does from the tragic story of a suddenly escaped to the top of the boxer form an entertaining extravaganza. And already when it began to seem that “Rocky 3” finally left on the frivolous road to the audience, hungry for unpretentious spectacles, Stallone suddenly wakes up and reminds us that not everything is so simple in this story and always expect a trick that can have a fundamental role. An extremely clear hint that all of Rocky's rivals after the fight with Creed were specially selected casts a slight shadow on the bright image of Balboa and the viewer understands that big boxing is not always an honest sport. But still Stallone is not going to belittle the achievements of his hero and puts at the head of his primary goal a second duel with Clabber Lang, which should be almost his last exam, proving that the extraction of the title was completely not accidental.
It’s also worth noting that Rocky 3 builds a rather intriguing storyline of friendship between Balboa and Apollo Creed, who couldn’t watch his former rival fall and decided he should become his full-time coach. Previously arrogant, bullying Creed saw in the present Rocky reflection of himself, and set out to change the course of events, capable of turning Balboa final and irrevocable ending. And this part of the film, perhaps, has the strongest dramatic qualities, demonstrating another turning point of fate, bearing a special benefit for the hero.

At the beginning of the film, Rocky is a world champion. He has won a number of victories, cementing his position as a champion. In the past, there was unemployment and lack of money. He's wearing a jacket now. And we need to remember our origins, not forgetting those working-class streets and the support of the people from which Rocky comes.
However, the place of the first, the leader of the world champion is too attractive to allow one person to calmly occupy the palm of the championship without proving again and again that he is worthy of this title.
New rivals are emerging. In general, in the third part there are more fights than in the previous ones separately, which adds tension, adrenaline.
First, a charity match with Sandra Lips - a healthy aggressive heavyweight, ready with his abundant mass, flesh, pile of muscles just to tear Rocky to take the place of the first. This match in which people flew out of the ring looks already with tension.
In honor of Rocky put a large monument. In three years, Rocky reached Olympus, the title of champion. Rocky says how much this sport has given him. However, there is another restless, aggressive, furious man Resler Sanderlise, who also dreams of taking the place of Rocky, the place of the first. He openly and brazenly calls Rocky to a duel. And uses the most vulnerable argument for a man - begins to talk to Adrian.
The rivals of Rocky in this film are endowed with an abundance of physical flesh - muscles, but why do they not like, why are both so angry, aggressive? Because a healthy body and a healthy mind, when you don't have to prove anything to anyone, are sometimes not the same thing. That's their tragedy. They have no spiritual confidence in themselves.
Rocky does not hold back and accepts the challenge.
However, Mickey is a mentor, and Rocky’s manager tells him he shouldn’t. Why? But Kutuzov once predicted the defeat of Russia in the battle of Austerlitz. Experienced Mickey realizes that Rocky used to have a psychological steel rod that helped him win, and now he's gone. Now Rocky has been tamed.
But Rocky's duel with a guest from Chicago will take place. It's even more intense, peak, scary, creepy spectacle. Mickey gets sick before the fight begins. What should a person experience with blood pressure of two hundred? And what does Rocky feel in the ring with this aggressive opponent? The match is attended by ex-world champion Appolo Creed.
This battle will be tense in the fact that it is difficult to lose a mentor with whom he was so connected in the past, who was both in a difficult moment and in joy. But it is also difficult to give up the position of the first. However, the latter gives an incentive to move on, develop, overcome oneself.
But emerges from the darkness another who will be Rocky's coach, assistant. And it's great that the former rivals are now united by a common goal. Yes, the position of the first to lose is very painful. But according to the mentor, Rocky needs to get the tiger's gaze back. We need to get our spirit back. The first training session - running on the beach - Rocky stopped. He can't do it anymore. And on TV, they say that Rocky is unlikely to be able to regain the title at 34. And most importantly, Rocky's fear is something that never happened. And here he begins to convince the fragile Adrian: “If you do not win now, how easy to live to the end.” The wife convinces that Rocky needs this fight not for money, fame, but for himself, for the sake of defeating his fear. And even if there is a loss in the ring, there will be a victory over fear. And then Rocky decides to rematch. With a new mentor, they arrive in Los Angeles, an old gym. They see a group of athletes. They have the eye of a tiger.
And again training and support the closest: wife, friend, mentor: running on the beach – he has already run; pool – he has already swam to the end.
And again, the fight culminates in the finale of the film. What will Rocky's new tactics be, will he have the look of a tiger and will he be able to conquer his fear?

When the muscular body of the champion falls on the floor, the audience inevitably gives off a shocked sigh. It can be just a knockdown - no big deal, the boxer is still able to roast the opponent properly. But a little bit of power is still there under your feet. And you need to have an inexhaustible desire to win, not to pay attention to such trifles and pour gloves with even more power. It doesn’t matter how many times the title is won. The main thing is that here and now someone was stronger, more accurate and purposeful. Falling, we have to get up. If only for what. And for whom?
Gathering all the stars from the Philadelphia sky, Rocky Balboa never had to complain about motivation, since defending the championship belt became commonplace. But in the third film about his main incarnation, Sylvester Stallone proves that people really change, sometimes without noticing it. Somewhere an imperceptible line was crossed, and the impeccable boxer became a showman. What this exchange leads to is convincingly proved by the story of Apollo Creed - the very one who gave the title in the end. But wealth, fame, and adoration have become so deeply embedded in the life of the recent debt-blower that a crucial moment of moral transition has been missed. Rocky clearly sees himself in Clabber Lang's Neanderthal face. What if the failed actor, Mr. T, ruthlessly overplays? The fear that the black bully inspires is natural, and it is more dangerous than the most trained uppercut.
Sly wanted to make the next part of the boxing saga dynamic, so it was more memorable fights. He achieved this goal relatively easily, and the fight with Hulk Hogan is still a spectacle, the legend of wrestling presents thoroughly. However, the further Stallone delves into the reflective character of his character, the less he remains the former Rocky, deservedly became the idol of Philadelphia. In his current actions, there is no real overcoming. We can talk about wounded self-love, unwillingness to accept the death of a coach, heightened self-doubt, but not about the previous heroism. What to do, Balboa is stepping in step with the times, not without reason in the yard of the eighties with their accelerated commercialization. The fact that under the changed conditions, Sly was again composed in three hypostases speaks not only for his talent, but also for the versatility of the obvious, seemingly hero.
Wished the author initially, or took his own improvisation, but in the third film the most noticeable was Talia Shire. The very type of modest and meek wife of a brave boxer doomed her to invisibility, but a passionate monologue on the California coast made her look different. The whole life of Rocky in these moments appeared as a castle of sand: quickly built, in its own elegant, but extremely fragile. The words of the wife are like concrete, without which the walls of the building will not gain the necessary strength. Support is also different, and only unexpectedly tough phrases of the wife make the gong once again ring in the ears, as confirmation of the finally learned lesson. And the examiner will not be long in waiting.
The camera work that has changed compared to the previous parts is striking. Now Stallone is betting on facial expressions, which sometimes goes to the detriment of the credibility of fights. The real slogan of the picture was “the look of a tiger”, Mr. T was useful for his demonstration. There are a lot of hard-hitting killers, for whom the ring is like a three-by-two cage, not enough. Fighting style can be improved endlessly, at least, Sly thought so, and by the work he did, above all, on his body, you will inevitably believe in the wonders of human potential. I am glad that in “Rocky 3” the abundance of glamorous tinsel is not something more than a bright design for the author, and in the desire to catch up with pathos he did not fly very far.
The self-sufficiency of the third tape and its weak binding to the original, on the one hand, a disadvantage, but on the other, an undeniable dignity. Yes, the "Italian stallion" has long been a "horse", but did not lose any rock particles from this. A steady desire for self-improvement, bordering on obsession, brought new shoots, and the tape in a cheerful breeze walked through the history of sports dramas. No matter how fond of Stallone sometimes in the desire to develop more and more coolly the uncomplicated material he had, and the charms of the actors do not occupy. A journey through the biography of a fictional boxer makes another stop, during which it is time to understand that losing to an opponent is not so terrible as losing to yourself. It seems like a simple thing, but sometimes to remember it, you need to lie on the floor. Just to stand up and show the real look of a tiger that no one can stand.
Time doesn't stand still. After the resounding victory of Rocky Balboa in the fight against Apollo Creed, several years passed: a series of other victories, fabulous fees, fame and universal love. Rocky moved to an elite quarter, got a big house with a swimming pool and a stylish car, and expensive branded costumes came to replace leaky T-shirts and sweatshirts. He has an exemplary family: a growing son and wife Adrian, who has turned from a once muddled woman into a groomed woman. Perhaps the only disappointment is a sluggish brother-in-law. And at this moment, a daring young rival bursts into the measured life of the hero like a whirlwind, wanting to jeopardize all the previous achievements of Balboa. But Rocky won't be Rocky unless he accepts the challenge. Result: Balboa is knocked out. Further, as in the first two films, the hero will have a rematch, but only this time not the opponent, and he will have to win the once lost title.
The triquel, on the one hand, is shot in the traditions of the first two tapes, on the other hand, is a step to the side. The film contains such indispensable attributes as the motivating soundtrack “Eye of the Tiger”; the Philadelphia Art Museum with a staircase leading to the building ("Rocky Steps), which became world famous thanks to the films about Balboa; the plot scheme “Rocky challenge – Rocky accepts the challenge – Rocky trains – Rocky doubts his abilities – and in the end according to tradition: “Come, see, win”. With similar components, Rocky 3 is far inferior to both the original film and its sequel for many reasons. The atmosphere of the first two films, created by the special color of the poor quarter, from where the hero came out, disappeared. The characters themselves have changed beyond recognition. So, under a stylish hairstyle, cosmetics and expensive outfits, it is almost impossible to recognize the Adrian, whose shy image was remembered by the viewer in the first films. Rocky is only remotely like himself. Stallone in the period from 1979 to 1982 had a great time to work on his body - biceps, cubes on his stomach - and now in each frame he climbs out of the skin to demonstrate such beauty to the viewer: then the torso will show, then in the top (yes, yes, exactly in the top) will appear, and even in a suit sitting with a needle. The focus shifted from the hero’s big heart to his ideal body, as a result, the image of Rocky lost its naturalness, and he himself became more like a Ken doll than that simple and at the same time very persistent guy who once conquered the viewer.
In "Rocky 3" (mostly in its first part) there are a number of clichéd moments, shot to please the mass American audience, which was not in the first movie: so fashionable in the environment of the beau monde charity, which was engaged in the hero; scenes of training, very similar to the showroom due to the presence of jubilant fans, wife and curling around the champion young girls demanding who kiss and who autograph (Americans love to create national idols); running along the shore of the sea young pumped men in T-shirts and shorts. Already in the second film about Rocky Balboa, you could see the sprouts of turning Rocky into another superman: one need only recall the footage when a young boxer runs up the Rocky Staircase, surrounded by a crowd of children adoring him. In "Rocky 3" those same "sprouts" have already managed to germinate deeply. The situation is saved by the touching line of the rapprochement of the main character with his former opponent in the ring Apollo Creed: soulfulness again appears.
Among film critics, Rocky 3 proved to be much weaker than its predecessors. So, in the ranking of Rotten Tomatoes, it received few positive reviews compared to the first two tapes. “Rocky 4” and “Rocky 5” were rated even lower on the same site, while “Rocky 6”, otherwise called “Rocky Balboa”, as if repeating the fate of its protagonist, manages to rise from his knees and gain the previous courage and positive points. Sylvester Stallone, who himself wrote the script for the entire Rocky saga, proved that he can, even after rotten tomatoes in his address, not give up, but gather and show a good result. No wonder his character and fate like to compare with the fate of Rocky.

Successful projects have always been honored by filmmakers and remain so even to this day. After all, it is always more convenient to shoot sequels of a successful film than to make a film without any fan base and the risk of commercial failure. Especially if it's Rocky, which has long found its way not only to the hearts of the audience, but also to their pockets. This film by the director Sylvester Stallone continues the thorny professional path of boxer Rocky Balboa as world heavyweight champion, but already in confrontation with a younger, stronger and more confident boxer.
The plot of the film, as well as the film as a whole, is based entirely on the rich heritage of the first two films. Thus, traditionally, the film begins a few minutes before the end of the previous part and linking this plot into one single canvas with previous films. Except that, creating a feeling of a certain attraction behind the ears. After all, if in previous films Rocky fought to find his place in the sun and retain success for the benefit of his family, then everything comes to banal showdowns between two boxers, and the line of revenge for Mickey easily goes into the background and in the second half of the picture so completely dissolves into nowhere. Due to this, the plot of the picture seems less educational and strong than in the previous parts. But within the genre looks quite confident and interesting.
Visually, the film still moved away from the author’s spirit of the first tape and stepped once again to meet the image of the popcorn of cinema. This is partly bad and partly even good. Visually, the film is quite cheerful, bright and interesting. The film itself looks like a kind of video clip, and the training scenes are still pleasing to the eyes with an excellent production. Largely due to the truly luxurious soundtrack Eye Of A Tiger from the collective Survivor, which was so perfect for this picture. Thus, tightly associated with me exclusively with this picture and becoming the perfect track for my own training and thinking not only for me. Well, the fight between Rocky and Clabber as it should be continued became more spectacular, dynamic and certainly for the sake of these 10-15 minutes, the picture is worth watching and reviewing.
Sylvester Stallone is just as gorgeous as Rocky Balboa. Unless, the former dramatic depth of Rocky here is no longer possible to see and Sylvester finally joined the framework of the full-fledged hero of the action movie. What is the same, someone may seem bad, and someone a good phenomenon. Very pleased with the return to the picture Karl Weathers, who, contrary to expectations, showed his Apollo from an absolutely unexpected and different side. Moreover, the main find and the pearl of the picture are precisely the relationship between Rocky and Balboa, which resulted from an open enmity into a truly strong friendly alliance and it is a pleasure to watch it. Very good in his image and Mr. T, whom the generation of the 80s knows in the image of Barakus from "Team A." Brutalen, dangerous and impressive. What the doctor ordered.

Rocky 3 is another worthy continuation of the Oscar-winning hit, which brought Sylvester Stallone to the level of a full-fledged movie star. Of course, before us is mainly entertainment and commercial product, but looking insanely spectacular, fascinating, interesting and not at all belittling the glorious reputation of the previous parts.
A simple man from the street, an Italian, a failed 30-year-old “south-footed” boxer, but with an “iron nose”, and as it turned out, with an iron will and character. “America” believed in him, all friends and people around him believed in him, and most importantly, he had faith in himself. It was around self-belief that the story for the 3rd film was built. The first real defeat in the pro ring, and Rocky, like any other person, has a sense of fear, he ceases to believe in his victory. All this is reinforced by the horrifying incident of Mickey’s death. The scene with his death is very emotional, watching a strong man with a truly tiger roar crying over the body of a Friend and mentor is incredibly difficult. I think even the male viewers certainly broke into tears. Fighting yourself, your fears and weaknesses, self-improvement - all for the sake of defeating an opponent, stronger, younger and cruel.
Compared to the first two, a lot has changed, it’s almost a new story. In almost every scene, you can track the evolution of individual characters and the story as a whole. But everything is in order.
Rocky, aka “Italian stallion” (I consider this version of the translation of the nickname the closest to the original), aka Sylvester Stallone, showed how a person can change, who made efforts to self-development. The character of Rocky in the third film is completely different than it was before. Rocky became handsome, even more masculine, which is just worth a set of such amazing physical shape. His conversation became more staged and meaningful, the feeling that in the break between the 2nd and 3rd film he managed to finish school after his 3rd grades, and get a higher education. The abundance of feelings and emotions hidden behind the image of a courageous strong athlete, the pain of loss, real friendship, sincere care for loved ones - all this is shown to us by the character of Stallone. Honestly, you rarely notice this, but the perception of Rocky Balboa is inextricable with the actor, they are as one whole, as the same person. Corporate style, manner of conversation, funny ring humor. The color of this image is simply overwhelming.
Apollo Creed, I will not list all his sports nicknames for too long (they can be fully heard in Part 4), aka Karl Weathers, continues to reveal its positive aspects to us. Once a showman, even empty talkers - now become a friend and undertakes to help Rocky. He becomes not so much a mentor for the ex-champion as a combat comrade. They improve together, complementing each other with missing traits. As a result, Rocky becomes a symbol of a “super champion”, which consists of two champions, one of whom is brave, strong and enduring, the other is a fast, technical and creative boxer. Apollo certainly became the Friend that Mickey was, a wonderful character with a very beautiful smile and the motto in life "No pain."
There is a lot to write about Burgess Meredith, but I would like to emphasize that the death of a great coach was a useful necessity. An athlete without a coach is like an orphan. The death of Mickey allowed to reveal the character of the main character in a new way.
Adrian and Polly are the same, the perfect beautiful wife and her funny brother. Both played well, nothing more, and nothing more to say. As well as nothing to say about the Hulk Hogan, he turned out just an interesting, even funny outlet in the break between serious and intense championship fights.
And of course, Clubber Lang, the character of Mr. T, is also an incredibly colorful, vivid image. It turned out to be such a cruel, hardworking and a bit stupid boxer. His super-dimensional formidability and narrow-minded remarks, especially in the scene with the installation of the monument, often cause a smile. Fortunately, a powerful figure and marvelous vegetation on the skull give it its “highlight”. Claims to the game of Mr. T to put dare not - for the first role, and for such a character such a game is enough.
The product turned out to be very high-quality - good work of the operator, the duration of individual scenes is optimal, nothing is delayed, everything is very good. It is very gratifying that there are no unnecessary, unnecessary details for the viewer - like stories from Rocky's childhood or details of running a sports business. And of course unlike music.
Flaws. Of course they do, but to hell with them. Although the fights are a little unrealistic as for heavyweights (well, 75% of blows to the head, as in the film), let the rounds of combat, which are shown in full, do not quite stand the chronology, even if the unobtrusive advertising of Nike flashes. The main thing is boxing, and in this film it is even more than before.
Another wonderful film in the series that really became the prototype of boxing films. No wonder Eddy Murphy in his film performance “As Is” so ardently and humorously recalled the overexcited Italian Americans after watching “Rocky”. After all, Rocky motivates, his victories motivate, even the music in the film motivates.

Three years passed between the premieres of the first and second parts of the boxing franchise “Rocky”, but not much time passed before Rocky Balboa and Apollo Creed meet again in the ring. Rocky celebrates triumph and becomes the new middleweight champion. With this begins the third part of perhaps the most famous sports saga in the world of cinema. Again, three years pass naturally and the viewer-fan gets the third part. This time and the plot nominally takes three years. Rocky celebrates victory over opponents over and over again, tenaciously holding the belt of the world champion. But on the horizon looms a new and very dangerous opponent - someone Clabber Lang (Mr. T), whom Mickey (Burgess Meredith), Balboa's coach, calls a real beast.
As in Rocky 2, Sylvester Stallone independently writes the script for the triquel, and also directs it. He realized that it was necessary to infuse new blood, thoroughly achieve the drama in the tape, which was admirably received by critics and the audience in the first, the best yet, Rocky. The starry existence of Balboa and his family, winning the ring – all this makes Rocky similar to Apollo Creed, who was similar, despite his great talent, to a merchant selling his name. Mickey sees this clearly and when he learns that Lang is challenging Rocky insistently dissuades his ward. Rocky only chuckles and Lang, who does not work for the benefit of advertising, and hard trained to the dust and smashes our favorite. That's when Mickey dies. The real grief is on Rocky’s face, but the viewer also grieves because he managed to love Mickey as a native and as the best coach for Rocky. The latter decides to retire from the sport, but unexpectedly returns Apollo Creed (Carl Weathers), who becomes Rocky's mentor friend before he goes on a rematch against Clabber.
There's a sense of great regret that a charismatic character like Mickey was taken out of the franchise. But pretty quickly that feeling goes away because Carl Weathers has wonderfully replaced Mickey. There's a double sense that Weathers' character was a fierce opponent of our beloved Rocky, and then he comes out of nowhere and says he'll make Rocky champion again. What are his goals? You don’t trust a past enemy much, but Weathers proved that an athlete should always be an athlete, even if he is retired. Forgetting the hurtful defeat, forgetting even the fact that it was he who in many ways “forged” a new boxing star Rocky Balboa, he understands that he is objectively weaker than Stallone’s hero, but once again wants to become a champion and even as a second, because he believed in Rocky, as many and many fans believed in him. Together with his old coach (Tony Burton), Apollo Creed suggests how to become better, how to improve and follow these trainings with ecstasy, because you yourself begin to meekly believe that Rocky will punish the brazen upstart Clabber Lang.
“Rocky 3” with its characteristic metaphoricalness clearly demonstrates beginner athletes how they need to be: training, training and training again! Such a signal can serve as the opening scene when Rocky meets wrestler Hulk Hogan. It's all about the show, and Rocky's turned into a showman, he's making money, there's the same Rocky that the kids were chasing in the early morning as he was getting in shape before the most important fight of his life. And only the character of Weathers returns us the real Rocky, for which special thanks to him. Mr. T made his film debut with the role of Clubber Lang. "Golden Raspberry" almost doomed him to the worst new star, but this anti-award very often do not agree. Mr. T is a former bodyguard, has impressive muscles, marvelous vegetation and, indeed, as Mickey said, animal appearance. It’s amazing how Rocky wasn’t afraid to fight this monster. Once again, Rocky is supported by his family: the quiet and humble Adrian (Thalia Shire) and her special older brother Paulie (Burt Young). And, running along the shore of the Ocean, Rocky will prove to everyone that it is too early to write off!
This time the first fight and then the rematch will fit in one part of Rocky. We'll worry about him again, we'll support him again. And Rocky will have a new opponent and new unexpected friends. Rocky Balboa's life story continues! 8 out of 10
P.S.: For the song "Eye of the Tiger" the band "Survivor" was supposed to receive awards, should! But their main award is that under this song many athletes conduct their training, they inspire them!
The third film about the great and persistent Rocky turned out to be truly remarkable. After all, she, among other things, received perhaps the most saturated in terms of events, relationships and content of the plot. For the paintings of Sylvester Stallone, who wrote scripts for all parts without exception, we can say that the tape was a real breakthrough and is perhaps the most worked out of all.
This tape harmoniously combines everything that even the most harmful viewer can wish for: here you have ups and downs, incredible resilience of both body and spirit, sorrow and sorrow, joy and happiness.
All this “bouquet” is complemented by a great love, which, however, has not slid to the usual “snot”, but appears in the right direction. And when Rocky needed her most, he got support. And, although not everyone will say that in this speech, Adrian believes in it because of such things. But that's not all. I hope you can say that, but Rocky finds a new friend and mentor in one person. Rare luck for a man in his position.
In this film, Sly managed to show almost all the experiences and incidents that almost everyone meets on his life path. And although all this material is quite voluminous, it does not look too bulky. All points are balanced and the impression that timekeeping is not enough for everything that we wanted to convey does not arise.
The best part about Rocky!
By the early 1980s, Sylvester Stallone was one of the rich and wealthy movie stars, which was clearly facilitated by the success of the first two parts of Rocky. Given the fact that Rocky is partly written off from himself, Stallone decides to continue the franchise, showing a new Rocky, who has a taste of victory, money and fame. The next sequel, released in 1982, in my opinion, although it does not reach the level of the first "Rocky" (affects the bias of the tape in the direction of entertainment and sports action, and not in the direction of drama), but still in itself is very good.
In the third part, becoming the champion, Rocky Balboa turns into a living legend of Philadelphia. And this for the athlete becomes a disadvantage: gaining money and fame, Rocky gradually loses morale. Taking into account the age, Rocky decides to retire from the sport, but loses the last fight to a young and strong contender. And now to return the title of champion he helps Apollo Creed - former rival of Rocky. In principle, to show the second Appolo from Rocky (as we remembered him in the first parts), who was dependent on audience ratings, and his opponent - a fighter exhausting himself with long training in a poor gym - is a very good move. In fact, when there is nothing to strive for, and when everything is already there, it is very difficult to keep the bar. Therefore, “Rocky 3” in this regard very well demonstrates to the viewer what happens to those who have achieved everything, do not try to keep it.
“Rocky 3” is remembered for the fact that it was thanks to him that received the “green light” in the cinema Hulk Hogan and Mr. T. Hulk Hogan against Stallone looked like an invincible giant. In principle, the show fight between a boxer and a wrestling star was funny, but too unreal - Hogan's hero did things in the ring with Rocky, after which Balboa would hardly stand on his feet. But Clubber Lang, performed by the famous bodyguard and bouncer Mr. T, at first glance strikes the viewer with his aggression and anger towards Rocky (thereby resembling the real boxer Mike Tyson). Although of course this bouncer coped with his task, but he could not get rid of the nomination in the Golden Raspberry - the lack of acting talents affected. However, to start an acting career to play an antagonist in the franchise about Rocky Balboa seems to me a very good debut (a vivid example of this is Dolph Lundgren from Rocky 4).
Suddenly, the hero of Carl Weathers – the former champion of Apollo Creed – opened up from the good side. Coming to Rocky in a difficult moment, Appolo not only rose in his eyes, but also became a true friend and coach. It seems to me that even if you analyze the acting, then in the third “Rocky” it was Weathers better than in previous films.
Despite the fact that the composer was still Bill Conti, the franchise received its “second anthem” thanks to the group “Survivor” who wrote the hit “Eye of the Tiger”. Performed in the genre of hard rock, Eye of the Tiger very well conveys the momentum and energy of what is happening on the screen. The composition itself fits perfectly on the video sequence (especially when moving from the second part to the third).
Rocky 3 is not like any other movie. But, unlike them, this part has become more spectacular, dynamic and in its own way good. There is also a moral and hidden motivation. The main character again overcomes difficulties and adversity to prove once again (this time to himself) that he is not afraid of anyone. Well, if Stallone did not shoot further about Rocky, on this film it would be quite possible to put an end to the franchise.

To begin with, I watched the film by accident, on television, when there was no opportunity to do anything else, but despite all this, I did not regret the time spent.
I haven’t watched any of the films in the series, but I have a vision. Immediately striking selection of actors, most of whom bodybuilders on additives (not necessarily chemical), ridiculous scenes of battle, where after a couple of blows, in real life knockout would be provided. But this is exactly what you need for such a movie: a bunch of colorful fights that will delight a considerable number of viewers. And this was justified, as the fees were very good, even excellent!
The plot is also very primitive, everything is clear in advance, but this is not an obstacle to experiencing and sympathizing with Rocky! You wait until the last minute to see how he's gonna get rid of this huge African-American! And in the end even goosebumps ran.
It is useless to look for any meaning in this film, it is also unlikely to work out something new, unless you need motivation before the fight to achieve the desired mood!
This is a good movie to watch if nothing else is more interesting. When I get the chance to choose
If there's another part of Rocky among them, I'll probably watch it, and I think it'll be pretty much the same! This is a pretty good assessment from me:

P.S. The best soundtrack in this movie! You can do almost anything in sports except meditation.
I’m trying to explain (to myself) the choice of Apollo Creed. A fisherman can see from afar no better than one big black guy from another big black guy. And, according to the logic of things, God himself ordered them to unite in order to once again (in their opinion) clearly demonstrate to everyone who wants what this or that “white rag” is really worth.
But that's the bad luck! One of the big black guys mentioned was too audacious to deal with another guy. And this second immediately took advantage of this circumstance. So say it yourself.
Well, I think it was pretty convincing. At least I liked it more than the idea of a rematch from the second part, which was reborn from its own ashes. And in general, the third film as a whole made (quite unexpectedly, which is characteristically) a very favorable impression. Especially in terms of comparison.
I see the main reason for this in the long-awaited departure of the “author and performer” from unnecessary household and pseudo-romantic details and nuances towards “bloody sport”. As a result, we get a movie dedicated to what it was supposed to be about: boxing.
In turn, the weakest link in the picture is the grotesque duel of the main character with a pumped degenerate performed by H. Hogan. This episode, quite long, by the way, looks completely ridiculous and definitely deserved to be removed during editing. He didn't give the picture anything.
Whether it's Rocky's fight with Clabber or his training scene with Apollo! Nice to see you! Not only did Stallone approach the matter with all responsibility (I am talking about his close to ideal personal physical conditions), but also in a conceptual sense, the plot lines of preparation for fights and fights themselves are spelled out very, very well, which I personally lacked in Rocky II. Simply put, there is a clear idea, a thought, and there is its consistent practical implementation. That's nice. Do not forget that “it does not matter how you hit yourself, it is important what strength you hold the blow.”

Released, again three years later, a new, already the third part of the series, which continues to tell about the boxing adventures of the famous heavyweight champion named Rocky was no worse than his two predecessors. Now it is not just a drama, but a real sports drama. Yeah, yeah. Exactly. Stallone, who, by the way, once again took the director's chair of the film about "Rocky", showed us all just mind-blowing, unrestrained sports action, with elements of drama. This tape just can not but please the viewer when watching, as it is full of positive qualities, delivering a huge number of the most positive and cheerful emotions. That's right!
The script is not new. It is very ordinary, and even a little bit worn out. But still able to something pleasantly surprise the viewer who decided to view this picture. As I said earlier, most of the triquel decided to devote to the sports genre, leaving the drama for a snack. That made the third movie any worse. And in some ways even better. I mean, the tape is not good. In many ways, "Rocky 3" turned out to be very cheerful and fresh tintz, not claiming to be the best of its kind. Watching the movie is interesting and not boring. Brains especially, when viewed, do not strain, but on the contrary relax.
In general, Stallone again played brilliantly. The truth with each part more and more begin to trace gaps and shortcomings in his game. But, nevertheless, it still does not allow me to admire him, and call him one of the best artists in the history of cinema. Since the image of his hero in the presented film will never leave my head. Trust me, that's for sure. I remember the actor who played the role of a boxer named Clabber, that is, Mr. T. Well done, man!
Well, I could not fail to note the masterpiece soundtrack to the film from the composer Bill Conti. Especially pleased and remembered musical composition - "Eye of the tiger", which in its time became a hit, received a nomination for the prestigious award "Oscar", and continues to be a hit until now. And so, in general, the film sounded a lot of good and really interesting compositions.
The triquel, as expected, came out above all praise, and was able to show us a rather peculiar, but, nevertheless, not very unusual, plot, quite worthy of the performance of artists, with the exception of some, and a truly magnificent soundtrack, which, personally, I liked madly. In short, I recommend watching this movie. You will not be disappointed, completely. Well, the fourth part is next...
Another story from the biography of the non-existent boxer Rocky Balboa (already the third) tells about what happened immediately after the hero of Sly defeated Apollo Creed and became the champion.
As often happens, Rocky relaxed. He's a world champion, it's hard to motivate himself, and the title contenders are too weak to bother Rocky. He became overconfident. Training in public, among reporters and fans, of course, did not contribute to the maintenance of form, and even a dedicated coach Mickey could not do anything about the relaxed boxer.
For what he paid - in the next fight for the title of world champion, a young, promising and very unpleasant boxer Clubber Lang kicks Rocky's brains out, removing the last champion belt.
Rocky gives up, everyone turned away from him, he is forgotten, but suddenly help comes from where they did not expect - Apollo Creed takes to train Rocky. It is clear how the rematch ended...
In my opinion, among the first three parts about a boxer from the street, this one is the most interesting. If in the first two parts Rocky has to win the crown, then he had to win it. That is, it took much more moral and volitional qualities to gain the former confidence, return the “tiger look” and return to the ring with triumph. A special thank you to Mr. T — his Clubber turned out to be such a bright and unpleasant character that hatred for him appears almost immediately as he says the first words in the film. More screen time received and Carl Weathers – and immediately managed to win over the viewer. Very charming character.
The result - the third part - a worthy continuation, and here the merit of Stallone as a director is even more impressive.
