Is it lethargy? For the title of the film, the author chose the affirmative form. His position is therefore clear and does not require any further comment. Right? That is, we, the audience, "Letargy" is presented as a given. It remains to be understood what or who falls under this concept. The intrigue does not hold in tension for long. Unmistakably, we find a person who has fallen out of society. The series of actions that follow one after another leaves no doubt - it is he. Some surprise is the fact that such a “insignificant” person could become the main character of the film. How is that possible? What's the catch? Where does the director’s genius lead us?
- I am not mercantile, the answer to the proposed promotion with the increase in cash salary and the due liability premiums. That's it! And this is a conversation with Big Boss, as they would say now. Absolute coldness of the face.
- First you need to get housing, and only then to have children, — chastises from a colleague about the constrained square inconvenience and grumbling. Humiliates and tries to pull away.
- Children are bondage for a woman bustling with washing, cleaning, cooking, - reasoned attempts of a friend to marry him.
And suddenly -- what is it? Housing shop, oh happiness, oak cutting boards bought on occasion. And also guitar chords and tape applause
It’s crazy, it’s crazy.
He is young enough, up to forty, judging by his position, not stupid, smart. Well-dressed - suit, shirt, has its own housing, VAZ car - the dream of a Soviet intellectual ... etc.
So what's wrong with that?
Selfish?
How to say, how to say. Here's the clue. The professor with whom he worked for a long time shamelessly appropriated his thoughts, conclusions, and work. Trying to prove his innocence, he condemned himself to “scorched earth”. He was ostracized, left alone, “wired” with censure.
I have a question. Is it not in this institution that our hero continues to carry his “watch”?
If so, the situation is generally “fun.”
And then I want to ask. So are we watching lethargy? He tried to fight, fought, hoping to defend his righteousness, was branded and now simply humbled himself, realizing the futility of war “with windmills”. His current state is DESISION. How long has he been "licking his wounds"? The protective mechanism of the body during psychotrauma worked. It's a good thing it ended like this. Is the Kashchenko Clinic better in this situation? I could not cope emotionally, and another Napoleon was more.
It is in this plane that the stream of thoughts should be directed to a thoughtful viewer.
And through this prism, look at what is happening.
And the thoughts won't be so clear. This will take on a different meaning.
Alternative.
