From hell to hell...all my life... Did I have a lot of dreams? Only my dreams didn't come true. What are my sins?
I was sold by my mother for 15,000 rupees. I started living in a quarry workhouse. I met a girl; sometimes, spending rare free moments with her, I walked out of hell. And there, in hell, I saw a little girl an old pervert buy for a handful of sweets. I saw her tears. I tried to change something because of my age, told the inspector, but did not understand the laws of the adult world and was imprisoned in an iron cage, where I burned in the sun. I endured violence, shouted, but endured. And she was silent, but she could not stand. I did what I could, what I could. He went to an orphanage, went from hell to hell. Growing up somehow, with a twisted soul like others with a twisted body. I went to college, met a girl. Kadhal konden. Every word is like a blow - I loved it! I love it! I love it! I met an angel, Divy. In fact, he simply changed the external hell to the inner hell.
Selvaraghavan’s “Rainbow Colony” captivates with its realism. “One in a Thousand” and “I Loved” are two more works of the director, realistic, dark on the surface, but emotionally vivid inside. In his tapes, he probably holds a special understanding of love. In I fell in love, friendship hastened to call itself love, and love forced to pretend to be friendship. A complicated triangle: a downtrodden, feral Vinod, who did not know the warmth of his mother, the support of his father, but met Divya, and whose fault is that the angel rewarded him with hellish torments? The question is not rhetorical, and I want to answer: him. Perhaps it is so: having broken a little man, society, when he grew up, reaped the fruits of his actions, and worst of all, few people were interested in his actions, he was left to himself. This man, great or terrible, was destined to erode himself from within, but he could not live otherwise. Adi is a guy with the usual desires for his age, still quite stupid, but already very stubborn. Divya is an ordinary girl, intelligent, well-bred, kind. Three equal sides, or is one longer? Life will solve this problem for them; no matter what happens, this triangle cannot be eternal.
No one else can imagine in the place of Sudip, his Adi he played wonderfully correctly. Vinod/Dhanush is a second film and an amazing performance. In every shot, every minute, it is easy to believe in such a person, it is easy to see how close he is to your understanding, how not believable, but true. One short dialogue, one seemingly meaningless phrase: "The food is vegetarian, but if you want, I'll make another one, even though I don't like it myself." A rather stubborn, wayward man with these words admitted his weakness: he put Divya above himself, so he fell in love, but the girl did not pay any attention to these words, and it is difficult to blame her for this. Sonia Agarwal is one of the few Southern Actresses with a capital letter, to the best of their abilities performing their roles, and not just present for a beautiful background.
The soundtrack can easily be called the musical accompaniment of the film and not shy at the same time, so the music and songs correspond to the atmosphere of the scenes and perfectly convey the inner struggle of the hero. A rare and very pleasant exception: listening to songs, you can penetrate the inner world of the central character. The tragedy of the antisocial genius – a film that, as you think, will press on emotions and tear the soul, actually becomes a sad symphony and gives food for thought for many days, so it does not disappoint at all. You can call Selvaraghavan crazy, you can think of Dhanush as an actor of mass cinema, but two things cannot be denied: the special style of Selvaraghavan and the acting skills of Dhanush. And if you’re still in denial, you just haven’t seen the great movie I Loved.
