The greatest of India’s epics is the Ramayana. The island Lanka became Sri Lanka after God visited it Rama. Sri means holy, sacred. "Ramayana" - the largest epic in the history of the Earth, very instructive. The history of India is how many rulers there were, which has not happened in the 11,000 years that the great Rama has instilled in India. The film is based on the great Indian epic "Ramayan". The story begins with the birth of twins Lava and Kush - sons Sri-Rama and Sith and describes their life together and adventures in the ashram Maha Rishi Valmiki. This is a story about the exciting adventures of twins with elements of comedy and mysticism.
The ancient Indian epic "Ramayana" became not only a philosophical doctrine, a wise treatise, but also the basis for the plots of many cinematic and animated paintings. The film "Love and Kush" will allow you to learn about the great twin sons Sri-Rama and , whose life in earthly reincarnation was filled with many incredible events, mystical adventures and brave battles. This beautiful Vedic story will tell about those times when Sri-Rama and Sita ruled the country. Residents were happy with this turn of events, as they felt the love and care of their rulers. But the subjects began to express doubts about the chastity of the Sith after she was kidnapped by Ravan. King Sri-Rama was forced to order the pregnant Sita to be taken out of Aidohija into the forest. The sage Valmiki found the queen Sita in the forest and offered her his refuge. After some time, twins Love and Kush were born. Years pass. The brothers grow up in a small forest village, grow stronger, learn philosophy, wise records and martial arts using magical weapons. In this they are helped by the sage Valmiki. The time will come, and they will have to show their courage, courage and clear the name of their mother from unfounded suspicions.
The filmmakers revisit the story of Lava and Kush - the sons of Lord Rama. This time it was directed by C. Tripathi. I believe that those who managed to watch at least some films of this director, remember the name of Jayashri Gadkar, an actress who created many amazing images in Vaishnava films. So here she, still very young, plays Sita - mother Lava and Kusha. The story of the exile of a pregnant woman, the search by the brothers for their father and the brief reunion of divine spouses is very, very surprising. You can review and savor it from time to time, and it will always be interesting. May this another production of a story already known to many bring you closer to the lotus feet of the Supreme Lord.
The film is black and white, but the quality is good, and the story itself is so interesting and exciting that the lack of color quickly ceases to notice. The film is very interesting, bright, costumed. Touched to tears, looking at Sita and Rama. What deep thoughts. I want to look and think again and again. They are all humbled for their efforts to show the right way of life. The actors didn't play, they lived their lives.
This is the fourth version of the great Ramayana I am watching. I saw the 1963 film, the 1997 film (with Gitendra and Jaya Prada in the lead roles), the 1965 cartoon based on this story. I haven’t watched the 2015 series Sita and Rama yet, somehow I can’t bring myself to watch Indian TV series (maybe because I have a bias towards all TV series, especially the series released in the last 15 years, no matter in which country). I can't imagine Indian actors in TV shows. In the movies, yes, but in the TV series. Although maybe in twenty years I will dare to watch the series Sita and Rama, and maybe I will even like it. For now, just movies. And now I've seen this movie. Although I watched it for the first time, but the actress who played the main role - Jayashri Gadkar, I know, and the story itself has not become new. There are also very beautiful, melodic songs and dances, so beautiful that you watch without interruption, watching every movement of the dancing women, and enjoy.
The only thing I didn’t like about it was the soundtrack (made in 2008). For all the power of the actors who played here, for all their emotions, modern voice acting was very chopping ears. Monotonously, emotionally and somehow simplified everything came out. Especially stressful when voiced Sita and Rama addressing the sage , the actors uttered Guru Dev (i.e. Divine Teacher). This is clearly audible, and our voiced as - GurUdiv (stress on the second Y), as if it was just a surname of a person. It was very deafening. This is the problem of many retro films voiced in our time, translators are not very bothered in the choice of words and even a small amount of emotions. This effect is not what it actually is. True connoisseurs and lovers of Indian cinema, already accustomed to this type of voice acting and just enjoy what they see, but not prepared for the viewer, it immediately catches the eye. The film will be underrated.
But the movie is still worth watching, like all the other versions I've seen. So - Shubhaagaman, as the Indians say, or - Bienvenida, as the Spaniards say, or simply - Welcome (in Russian)! If you love India and its history and everything about it (as I do), then enjoy it. Really interesting. Enjoy your visit.
