Alter-ego or Mad Superhumans Being a great lover of Asian horrors and mystical thrillers, I could not pass by this film, which is both horror and thriller in one bottle. And judging by the description, he reminded me of such films as “Nightmare Detective” and “Psychometry”, where people with superpowers help police in investigating a crime.
A film with such a plot and a pretty selection of actors, I could not help but watch, but I have the most contradictory feelings from it. To the level of the above films, clearly does not reach, since mainly the emphasis was not on revealing the deep secrets of the subconscious maniac and policeman, and even the mystical basis of the film, everything goes superficially. Let me explain why the love line that arose between the main characters is smeared and there is no chemistry between them; the detective line at the beginning looks interesting at the end slides into complete thrash, such a burd I have not seen since the days of Vampiersh vs. Frankensteinsh; mysticism also turns into an absurdity that is frankly boring to watch. And about the soundtrack is a separate conversation, it looks really like it was pulled out of a teenage drama, listens easily and cheerfully, but at the same time looks ridiculous.
Walk through the actors they are little-known, although pretty, the male composition liked without exceptions, but the main character pumped up, she constantly screams, cries, sees something but all this looks fake and implausible. A senior cop who is haunted by the ghosts of the past is the most diligent and lovable character, he's too charming for a cop, that's all I can say about him. His partner, a young police officer who follows the rules strictly and is jealous of his partner, of course, this is largely determined by his distrust of a stranger who sees ghosts and yet he is even very cute when he smiles. The rest of the characters are not remembered.
As a result, I can say that the film for once, there is no usual psychology and depth of actors, no pronounced acting work, and who wants films in this spirit, I advise you to watch Nightmare Detective and Psychometry.
