I watched right after Jessica Jones, who only survived one season and a couple of episodes of the second. He gave up immediately after the 1st series. The impressions are exactly the same https:/ /kinonavigator.ru/films/25289435/user/453859 . Only Luke became an outspoken gopnik, which added "charm." To hell with these series
A Catholic, an alcoholic without a wardrobe, a coffee lover and a child from K’un L’un decided to make a fuss.
Not quite a flat road, the authors paved for uniting four miracle people in one team, but no matter how you spin it is still a road or at least a path.
The first series was promising. Here, albeit sluggish, but still there are working moves that unite all the storylines. There is a cool technical part, especially color correction. Each of the four has their own. In other words, it was like that for everyone in the solo, maybe except for the Iron Fist - I don't remember there being a green background. In general, the color palette has not just a place to be, but can predict the further actions of the character or give a hint who the viewer will see in a moment.
All this is interesting, but only until our team is united. Where exactly is the Punisher? He wasn't invited because his solo album wasn't out yet? Man, almost all of the minor characters were forced into the series, and Frank Castle wasn't even mentioned. A shortcoming!
The weakest link was the villains in the face of the secret mega-corporation Hand. Throughout many series in different solo series, the creators whipped up intrigue, not giving the viewer a grain of answers. Who are they and what do they want? Such a move made it clear that the revealed maps in The Defenders should respect the audience’s intrigue. However, instead, a new character is introduced by Sigourney Weaver to demonstrate a talentless twist, and then reveal, as it turned out, what everyone already knows. Bravo! It's so respectful to your viewers.
I was only pleased with the true cause of the Chernobyl disaster. The same thing happened in Pompeii. The volcano has also been bullied? No, it's all about the Hand. And you are all communists, yes, communists!
The first two series are worthwhile, and then full of irritation from the plot and actions of the characters. Not even good jokes. It's a dreary hollow!
The Marvel Cinematic Universe is developing at a phenomenal speed, which is evidenced by a huge number of ' solo' and a couple of ' team' blockbusters, which together turned this movie universe into the most financially successful franchise in the history of cinema, but its owners do not stop there, releasing in cooperation with Netflix very, very high-quality series. More recently, I admired the darkest neoneuar about the blind superhero ' Daredevil' (and especially the second season), which adopted all the best of Nolan’s superhero comic trilogy, as its informal sequel – crossover ' Defenders' (The Defenders, 2017), which united the four main characters of various comic series Netflix and Marvel – Daredevil, Luke Cage, Iron Fist and Jessica Jones. It is a pity, of course, that the team series was not as good as the solo.
And it should be noted immediately that 'Allies' ' Command' history can be called very conditionally. For me, the perfect example of a superhero team is the X-Men - they have everything balanced, work together, and, often, really dangerous opponents win only through mutual help and support. And there are very few characters among them who have become self-sufficient and received their own comic series (and in the case of the movie universe, there is only one Wolverine). Here we see four single heroes who accidentally at one point (and then closer to the middle of the series) face each other, do not trust each other and do not want to work in a team (from which you could make a good dramatic line), but eventually unite against a formidable opponent. And all this process ' rubbing ' heroes are shown somehow fleeting and unconvincing, ' Defenders' for eight episodes that were supposed to reveal them as a team, lose both ' Avengers' and ' Justice League'. And here you can clearly feel the superiority of Daredevil over all the other characters - in fact, the first season ' Defenders' becomes a kind of continuation of the second season ' Daredevil' where other superheroes visit.
The secret ninja organization, the Hand Clan, in the Daredevil series looked more dangerous than it turned out to be. Yes, we delved a little into its history, which is really pleasing, but the implementation could be made more gloomy, even more cruel (although there is room for severed heads and limbs) and more sinister. As a result, we see it as if not a secret terrorist organization of assassins with a thousand-year history, but a powerful financial corporation, building its sinister plans like the recent "Lara Croft" & #39. It was necessary to focus even more on the Nolan trilogy, in which a similar League of Shadows was revealed and demonstrated in a truly posh way. Yes, and Sigourney Weaver in the main villainous role is rather annoying and disappointing, for nothing that the recognized talent in the frame.
As for the main cast - Charlie Cox again ' high' in the role of Matt Murdoch, which is noticeably infuriating with the naked eye - the role of the Devil from Hell's Kitchen is as if written for him, and he is just bathing in the image (especially impressive is the repeated duet with Elodie Jung, I hope she is with us for a long time), Finn Jones in the role of Iron Fist looks decent (although sometimes his chatter infusty, but his role is such), Mike Colter shows such a kind bouncer, and Kristen Ritter in the image is especially pleased with me, but then Jones does not start to get used to her; #39 Veteran Scott Glenn brightens each project with his participation, and his roles are truly iconic - that's how Stick once again pleased fans ' Daredevil', and just connoisseurs of his works. Jessica Henwick was very nice in the frame, Rosario Dawson came very even to the place (pity not naked, as in ' Trans'), Elden Henson in the role of Foggy as always good. Elodie Jung, turning into the main antagonist of the season, was above all praise - to portray an emotionless killing machine, and then the Electra, which we all loved after the second season, she was able to gorgeously. And it looked especially great in a duet with Charlie Cox, with whom she again had many scenes in common. I’m not talking about her beautiful eyes and disarming sly smile – for the sake of this beauty, this series was worth watching. I look forward to her return in season three 'Daredevil'.
Before us is a relatively successful series, sometimes boring, sometimes crumpled, which can be considered as not the most successful sequel to the magnificent ' Daredevil', and even less successful ' Team' spin-off or crossover of the Marvel Universe, but at the same time noticeable work and efforts of the authors of the series (and especially its cast), so it has something to praise. And the opening screensaver with the title musical theme of the series still liked.
Welcome to the Defenders team. Unlike the Avengers, we do not have expensive and high-tech equipment. We don’t always work together and work together. And we don't wear costumes... Well, except for Matt.
The first rule of the Defenders team is: do not tell anyone close to you about what is happening, so as not to put them in danger.
The second rule of the team "Defenders": never tell anyone close to you about what is happening, so as not to expose them to danger (at their discretion, this rule can be violated if questioned and threatened with prison by police).
The third rule of the team "Defenders": do not use the word whose name is the series in which Charlto Copley starred, including the use of the prefix "over".
The fourth rule of the team "Defenders": do not use the word "heroes" with the prefix "super".
The fifth rule of the team "Defenders": try not to kill opponents during battles with them (Like a Batman).
The sixth rule of the team "Defenders": go to crazy actions that do not lend themselves to logic.
The seventh rule of the team "Defenders": do crazy things, regardless of the consequences.
The eighth and final rule of the Defenders team is not to advertise that we saved people.
I often criticize the television adaptation of Marvel comics (hereinafter referred to as TEKM) for its kind of “alienation” from the events taking place in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (hereinafter referred to as MCU). It’s not just about the Netflix series. Naturally, these are separate stories, and they will never intertwine with characters from the MCU, other than "Agent Carter" and "SHIELD Agents." Undoubtedly, references to the incident (the battle of the Avengers with Chitauri) in dialogue and newspaper articles, sales on the streets of DVDs recording the day and products Hammer Industries remind where all events take place. However, with what disdain I looked at the showing landscape of the city, not seeing the tower of the Avengers (because there is none!). I understand that the owners of Marvel try to neatly combine all the series with the movies, and maybe someday and somewhere there will be an explanation, for example, why Scarlet never met with Spider, who, not knowing about each other, could accidentally come across the same gang of criminals.
Perhaps it will be finished when the characters appear in their own feature films, and then with the Avengers (I hope). It's a matter of time, just like they appear in one show. And the expectations were high, something similar was felt when watching the first Avengers movie: such epicity, such success. It was worth landing and realizing: “This is not a movie with a budget of more than two hundred million dollars, but a series.” Then I will wait out the tired tightness in the form of incomprehensible “body movements” and see epic in the end.
Since the beginning of my serial “journey” about “local superheroes”, it has been interesting to learn about the lives of ordinary citizens, against which the stories of future defenders, after an alien attack, and their reaction to the existence of people with superpowers took place. On the one hand, the MCU turned a blind eye to civilian casualties, and the Avengers appeared good and “gentle.” On the other hand, there were those who feared or hated such people, blaming them for the death of loved ones and relatives, which was presented in the TECM. The series revealed the reverse side of the medal, dark and not as fabulous as that of the MCU, but also more alienated as I noted above, since there was no public hype about the Avengers.
Rather, I just get attached to the little things, and it is necessary to calm my idealism of the fan, because there are too many of them, and there is something to be attached to, more than a thousand words will go to this.
Well, one in the crossover I touch - "Hand". This criminal organization, studded with legends, appears before the viewer in solo series as something powerful and unknown, capable of much and even more, and Hydra, which was able to penetrate the ranks of the SHIELD organization, is not next to it. And the managers of the organization, the fingers, are not afraid of anything, including perhaps alien races, capable of enslaving the green ball with the same zeal. But common sense pulls my sleeve and asks, "How do they plan to enslave the world when there are a dozen more powerful candidates in line?" “Well, that’s a question for comic book makers,” I said. Of course, the answer to this question I wanted to see in the crossover, where we were presented with the main among the fingers, the index. From that moment on, the full power of this elite was to be expected. Only instead of the ancient evil, for which people went fanatically to death, which made cunning games with corporations, influential people and other gangs, and whose name could disturb people who know firsthand about the “fairy tales” transmitted from generation to generation, they showed something less, about which it was said and shown in solo books. In other words, I expected to see “The Elephant,” which would threaten the lives of not only superheroes but their friends everywhere, and the result was “The Moss.” Rather, this is due to the large costs of shooting, since in this case the viewer expected a lot of dynamics in the form of action scenes. Because the “black” work was done by the Fingers themselves, which does not please me, and especially in many ways predictable, clichéd and partly ridiculous plot. I agree, he sometimes asked intrigue, surprised, and sometimes it was not interesting and boring to watch. Only curiosity did not fall due to the expectation of seeing the unification of the heroes and the final “superbattle”, which later rolled with beer. For this I will take one point.
The very absurdity is depicted in the logic of what is happening, the cause-and-effect relationship. More precisely, I do not understand the decisions taken by the protagonists and inaction on the part of the antagonists, given their abilities, expressed in the quantitative superiority of human power.
One point to zero brings realism closer. It seems that it should not be here by default, but having discarded all mysticism and inhuman abilities, it is safe to admit that, unlike the plot, which has both legs prosthetic, a cane is needed here. Not to say that much is a mystery to me, but the end of the last series struck me.
For the whole series, I was only pleased with the camera work. She's amazing. Fights, shown in one shot, whose choreography looks believable, but with the smallest remarks, gave dynamism. The color scheme and angle of the picture for each character prior to their meeting emphasized the style. Luke – light slightly bright yellow shades, Jessica – gloomy blue tones, Matt – the most earthly background, made in the style of a psychological thriller, with angles similar to the series “Mr. Robot”, and Danny ... I never understood.
As a result, the series was not fully developed. Expectations did not coincide with reality, and emotions began to die out on the schedule of the law of gamma distribution with a number of distribution equal to 10. For a non-fan viewer, this is a waste of time. For me, geek, it wasn't a terrible journey. I don’t regret wasting time, but I could have done better.
We must fight evil, but we are more interested in fighting with each other, and we do not really understand the reason for the quarrels.
After a very successful and ambiguous series about Jessica Jones, after a rather good, albeit overly boring Luke Cage, I was very much waiting for the crossover Defenders, expecting an interesting plot and excellent implementation from him.
It wasn't that.
The first half of the series still somehow comes, if you throw out scenes with fights, it is quite curious to watch how heroes with completely different temperaments and motives slowly but faithfully go towards each other, coming on the trail of a very terrible organization.
After the meeting begins complete nonsense and attraction by the ears.
Attempts by directors to bring passion to the relationship of the characters look almost miserable. For the benefit of the plot, the characters take turns acting like the last morons, causing discord in the group. I was particularly struck by Luke Cage’s attitude of “We have come to punish immortal enemies, but I will not kill them because it is not right.” It is wrong to blow up buildings, even if they are empty, but it is terrorism. And we won't tell the police either, let them think we're dangerous, not a mysterious syndicate. I mean, I understand, there's an educational moment for young viewers, like, lynching is such an idea, there are authorized people, but man, sex at the beginning of the series is also shown for young viewers? Apparently, the creators did not quite decide who they wanted to please, because, in my opinion, they screwed up there and there.
Most of the dialogues in the movie are fucked up too. They are either pinched about nothing and explain what we will do now, or not at all clear insertions. For example, there was a message when the old man was lecturing Luke that you, they say, was in prison, and this leaves its mark and in the future Luke may overdo it. In general, this warning remained not played, but it was a pity, it was interesting to look at the inner struggle of such an ideal, and from this some kind of unnatural, character.
Jessica, on which there were many hopes, was preserved in the image of an alcoholic with a psr, who does not even try to deal with her demons and remains in the form of a victim, with rude habits. Although as a character she is much more interesting and hatch, and iron fist.
Sigourney Weaver is a pass. Not a bit scary, only pathetic. Yes, in the plot, she slowly dies of seemingly cancer, commands everyone, but she does not inspire fear and horror as the head of a super terrible organization. As well as, however, the whole organization, about which the characters say that it bears horror and after it there are blood and intestines, but in fact all this remains behind the scenes and the viewer thinks of everything according to the stories of the main characters.
In short, the swing was interesting, but remained unfulfilled.
What can I say? Just another day in New York. But rent is cheaper.
The Marvel Cinematic Universe continues to evolve. Now we have serial avengers. Ninja crime clan 'Hand' wants to get to an ancient substance with truly biblical properties. Three extraordinary people unite around blind lawyer Matt Murdoch. Unite in the fight against the forces of evil. But will Matt be able to think rationally when Black Sky enters the fray? Will he be able to forget his love and do what is really necessary?
The serial part of the Cinematic Universe is television projects of various channels, the characters of which live in the same world and have a hypothetical opportunity to intersect. The crossover series from 'Netflix' was supposed to refresh familiar stories, but in my opinion, the goal was not achieved. Why was it necessary to launch 6 projects in order to release seasons in a haphazard manner? Only 3 projects were really interesting: 'Daredevil', 'Jessica Jones' and 'The Punisher'. All three series were filled with meaning, had a gripping plot and a more less adequate narrative logic. Whereas 'Luke Cage' and 'Iron Fist' were frankly boring. Most of the time was spent talking about the lofty tasks they set for themselves and how, in doing them, they should not become like their enemies. In ' Defenders' it's interesting to watch only Murdoch and Jessica, and Luke and Danny are just annoying. Luke still talks about the fact that he should guide the true black teenagers of Harlem, and Danny is still nagging about the need to protect Kun-Lun from 'Hands'.
As I watched it, I kept asking myself, ' And what about Luke Cage?' By and large, the series continues the plot of Daredevil. Jessica Jones simply gets into the color of events, taking on a new business. Rand is looking for what it takes 'Hand' in New York City. And Cage's just gonna get caught. The ninja clan itself continues to amaze with its strangeness. They stubbornly ignore the existence of firearms, but when the ninja do grab the guns, they shoot Luke Cage. It has long been known that this is meaningless.
What can we sum up here? ' Defenders' are only interesting because of Daredevil's plot, which means Murdoch simply outshines the rest of the characters. It would be much better if all the stories of these characters took place in one series, and not in five. But it is worth giving credit - beautiful shooting, good musical accompaniment and acting, which is pleasant to watch. You need to see the series, but you definitely do not want to stay on it more than once.
“A good warrior takes advantage of every opportunity available.”
What do you need to bring together different people? Probably common interests and goals. In this case, it is a desire to save the beloved city, which, incidentally, at one time was saved by the Avengers, that is, New York.
Every hero of this story is trying to fix his life.
Luke Cage (Michael Colter) is released from prison and no longer wants to interfere in anything, but it is difficult for him to stay away when house is happening. He wants to help people and of course the most important thing is to save Harlem, which he once tried to save.
Jessica Jones (Christine Ritter), having defeated her worst enemy, Clickgrave, is now trying to figure out how to live enjoying freedom. But she clearly does not get it well, she wants to stay away, only alkagol and nothing else, and do not care what is happening around.
Matt Murdoch, aka Daredevil (Charlie Cox), tries to live without Daredevil, that is, without risking his life at night. But in his soul there is an internal struggle, on the one hand, he wants to live an ordinary life, in the above ground, that everything will improve and everything will become as before. It's already been lied to. On the other hand, his soul craves night walks and andrinaline in the blood. How not to twist, and Daredevil part of his life, it will not change anything.
Danny Rand, aka Iron Fist (Finn Jones), is tormented by the fact that Kun-Lun was destroyed because of him, since he had left him at the time. All his anger he turned, sagging hands, in the hope, in his opinion, to redeem his act.
In the end, fate brings them together, trying to teach them to work together and trust each other. But it wasn't.
The idea to bring together a completely different nature of the superheroes, in principle, not bad, although not particularly new. In some places you can draw a parallel with the famous Avengers, because those, too, did not immediately work.
And Electra's return was spectacular, and I knew she was really in love with Matt, so she could remember who she was. I believe that true love never dies.
Anyway, I enjoyed watching. I liked the tricks the most, they were the highest praise. I was wondering if there will be a sequel. Although I know that each character spits a sequel in his own series, but still would like to see how they work together again.

I do not think it would be an exaggeration to say that the Defenders & #39 were eagerly and with interest waiting for almost the entire geek community in the world. After all, if the apotheosis of the Marvel Cinematic Universe became ' The Avengers' Joss Whedon, then for the serial (let them even say that they are in a single universe) universe it was promised ' Defenders'. A large-scale crossover, to which Marvel went almost two and a half years and four solo albums about each of the team members. However, as is usually the case, high expectations played a cruel joke. Because the series turned out not so much as expected.
The plot of the series logically continues the events of the soloists of each of ' Defenders'. At the same time, it is interesting that the first three series in the series develop four storylines at once. Where each of the characters follows his own personal path and investigates absolutely unrelated cases. Ultimately, it is in the finale of the 3rd episode that not only unites all the characters in one frame for the first time, but also sublimates the storylines of each of them into a fairly dense plot.
However, no matter how interesting the personal investigations of each of them looked, the events became less interesting and slowed down in development. Presenting to the audience an excessive amount of empty blah blah blah, which not only do not reveal the characters, but simply inflate the already shortened (unlike solo) timing of the series. Undoubtedly saving the situation with the magnificent final two episodes of the series and the magnificent finale, which the creators of the series managed to absolutely stupidly merge in the last seconds of the season.
If initially reducing the number of episodes to 8 created the hope that the series will forget about the brakes and become much more dynamic, in fact, hopes do not find actual reflection on the screen. The first 2 episodes and the last 2 were very good. The first 2 captivate the smooth and intriguing development of the plot of each of the soloists, and the last 2 episodes fall almost the most interesting spectacle. When, like everything else, the series turned out a little protracted and sagging.
It catches the eye and the lack of its own style in the series. Each solo has its own personal atmosphere and even a color palette. As in this series, this trick is completely forgotten. Rather, giving the impression of the second season of the passing 'Iron Fist'.
The quartet of leading actors in the person of Charlie Cox, Kristen Ritter, Mike Colter and Finn Jones played well. Apart from the fact that their characters do not get the proper disclosure, and Jessica Jones seems the most useless member of the team. Lost in the background and Rosario Dawsen, Jessica Henwick and the rest of the secondary cast of the series, which are assigned only some scraps and episodes.
The main disappointment for me personally was the merged villains. Sigourney Weaver played well, but her character did not get the proper disclosure on the screen. ' Trying' the other villains of the series, 'Hand' appears to be no more a powerful and incredibly dangerous clan than an ordinary gang.
The only bright spot from the entire villainous team was Electra performed by Elody Jung. Jung simply dissolved in her heroine and even somewhat dubious motivations of her heroine in the second half of the season, managed to turn into a plus. Having created an image of a really dangerous and formidable opponent who can easily withstand all four of them ' Defenders'.

Defenders is the long-awaited crossover of the leading superheroes of the Marvel/Netflix series universe. However, not the result that many expected. Having created the impression not bad and interesting series, but failed to reveal half of its potential on the screen. Presenting in the image of not a bad, but absolutely sterile product, unable to catch a living thing.
I usually wait more for new movies to come out than new TV shows, but this is an unusual case. Defenders promised to unite four superheroes who previously debuted on Netflix. Not all of them made an unambiguous impression, but here comes a new telecrossover about the gloomy defenders of the dark streets of the Big Apple.
Investigating completely different at first glance cases, lawyer Matthew Murdoch, private detective Jessica Jones, Harlem defender Luke Cage and martial artist Danny Rand independently discover that the criminal organization Hand is preparing something grand and stop at nothing. Even destroy New York. When studying different clues, the paths of the heroes cross, and they decide to work together. But they underestimated their opponent. If before they faced only one leader of the Rook clan, now they have to confront all five. Especially dangerous is their head - Alexandra Reed and her secret weapon, known as the Black Sky.
Not all solo series about heroes left an unambiguous impression: for me, the best were the first season of Daredevil and Jessica Jones. I didn’t like everything in Luke Cage, but the overall impression was positive, while Iron Fist remained quite controversial. After such a difficult path, it is quite difficult to combine so many different characters in one series and in one team. The advantages of the series include its duration. Moments where the action either stood still or developed very slowly were present to varying degrees in each of the series. The action of the Defenders develops if not rapidly, but quickly enough that you do not have time to get bored and lose the thread of events. Here finally found a balance between the scenes of negotiations-revelations and action scenes and fights. Everything is pretty impressive.
As for the story itself, I also have doubts. On the one hand, I liked the fact that they told me so much about the Hand clan, introduced their leaders, their main goal and made them the main opposing force of action. On the other hand, I didn’t like what they needed to accomplish their goal. And how it was explained. In my opinion, it looks banal. Although towards the end I managed to surprise - I was especially pleased with the plot twist in the last series.
My general impression of the heroes also remained positive. Matt Murdoch (Charlie Cox), aka Daredevil - unwittingly, becomes the leader of the team. Therefore, he looks more serious and solid than his comrades. Jessica Jones (Kristen Ritter), the same lover of swearing, drinking until memory loss, but on which you can rely. Luke Cage (Mike Colter) is a bulletproof Harlem hero, and how he is becoming more and more like a prototype from the comics. Danny Rand (Finn Jones), the immortal Iron Fist, looks too young and naive against the background of his comrades. Therefore, he is paired with Cage (a tribute to the comics) - the harsh reality of Cage outweighs Rand's young ideals. It is also interesting to watch Murdoch-Jones tandem - his thirst for justice against her sarcastic cynicism. And yet, I liked that they did not forget about the long-standing romance between Jessica and Luke - this storyline was developed correctly, nothing unnecessary, but with a hint of possible development.
As antagonists we see Madame Gao and Bakuto already familiar to us. But now the leader of the clan of the Rook Alexandra Reed comes forward. Participation in the project Sigourney Weaver is undoubted luck. It is firm, unshakable, powerful, instilling fear not only to its enemies but also to its closest allies.
Electra Nachios (Elody Jung) also returned - here I liked her more than in the second season of Daredevil: she became a pawn in someone else's game, she tries to understand the essence of what is happening, remember the past, find the truth. It works. With unexpected consequences.
I also appreciated the appearance of Stick (Scott Glenn), a ripe sensei of Matt and Electra, confronting the Hand, but still not revealing his plans, preferring to act alone.
To sum up: in the series Defenders tried to collect all the best that was in each solo. And it was a success after all. I liked the show. It’s not perfect, but it was interesting to watch. Waiting to continue.
The company "Marvel", capturing their films big screens, decided to start capturing small. Therefore, together with streaming services, Natflix releases its comic book series, included in the MCU. These series differed from their brothers from the big screen gloomy atmosphere, seriousness and realism of events. They quickly managed to gain popularity and after 5 seasons of all solo projects of the characters "Defenders" became the culmination and completion of the first serial phase. The series turned out to be average, worse than Daredevil and Jessica Jones, but better than Iron Fist and Luke Cage.
The plot is based on the confrontation of the Defenders with the “Hand” – the clan, which has already been mentioned in “Daredevil” and “Iron Fist”. In my opinion, it is good that the villain was exactly the Hand and its leader – Alexander, performed by the wonderful Sigourney Weaver, since we were led to the confrontation with Daredevil, and Iron Fist further exacerbated the conflict.
A rather weak plot compensates for the beautiful characters. Each of them is different and the viewer already knows each of them, so it becomes even more pleasant when you see how they interact with each other. By the end of the season, each of them had grown above himself, especially Danny Rand, who was more influenced by events and by the end of the season, he managed to become a real leader.
Cinematography and color correction is another good aspect of the show. Each character is given a color that characterizes it. Daredevil red, Jessica purple, Danny green, Luke yellow. And all the surroundings and cityscapes are full of these flowers. And in pair work, the characters mix, telling about who will be discussed in the scene. Superhero series from Netfix are famous for their intro and this series is no exception. Silhouettes of the heroes, in their colors and against the background of the areas of the city where they live.
But some disadvantages, unfortunately, weigh more than the pluses. Starting with the villain, Alexandra turned out to be a weak character and even the venerable Sugurnee Weaver could not make the character interesting. It is not clear from her behavior how she was able to hold onto power for so many years. And the Hand itself has turned from disciplined warriors into stupid mercenaries. The plot itself, although it should reveal the secrets of the hand, makes it inept. It destroys everything that was built in previous series.
Also, the action turned out to be bad and did not surprise, although it was better than in “The Fist”, but it is still far from the level and ingenuity of Daredevil. And the final battle turned out to be very gray and cardboard, and even under an unimpressive soundtrack.
“Defenders”, unfortunately, did not meet many expectations of fans. Everyone was waiting for a breath of fresh air, a bright, breathtaking spectacle, but only partially got it. Hopefully, if there is a second season, it will take into account all the mistakes of the first and we can enjoy a really good job.
At the beginning, Marvel wanted to release a crossover with our heroes, without their solo projects. But then it seems that we changed our minds and we saw first four series: about a blind lawyer, a Harlem defender, an iron fist and a drunken detective.
And now for each series in brief. The Daredevil series set a high bar. It was an interesting series with well-directed fights, a dark atmosphere and a good antagonist in the face of Wilson Fisk. Jessica Jones didn't give up either, the series was level. But Iron Fist was a little weaker, but I don’t share very negative opinions about this series. I don't think it's bad enough and doesn't deserve that low rating (17% on tomatoes). Luke Cage was even weaker than the Iron Fist. It was a bit monotonous and boring, but it still came to me.
And finally, we waited for our heroes to unite into one team. The plot of the team crossover continues the storyline of the Iron Fist about Kun - the Moon and about the immortal ninjas. And the line of Daredevil with the resurrection of Electra. In the first episodes, we are in no hurry to unite the main characters. They exist separately, doing their own business. Jessica Jones leans on the bottle as usual and is looking for a missing architect. Met Murdoch tries to forget his superhero life and successfully defends his clients. Luke Cage, out of prison, wants to relax, but Harlem teenagers mysteriously disappear. And Danny Rand, arriving in New York, is determined to end the Hand.
And here, to me, the writers were good at adding Jessica Jones and Luke Cage to the story. I also like that each of the characters corresponds to their color. Daredevil is red, Jessica is purple and blue, Luke Cage is yellow and Danny is green.
Fight scenes are not classy, but normal. Some may not have enough fights in the series. I can only say that some of the fights were indistinct. For example, Daredevil’s fight with Iron Fist (without even remembering the fact that I think Danny Rand should be one of the best fighters, yet he studied in Kun-Moon for a long time).
The secondary characters also appeared in the series: Iron Fist friend Colin Wing, policewoman Misty, nurse Claire, Karen Page, Foggy and others. I only mention Karen Page, she annoyed me a little, and I would like to see the development of their relationship with Matt.
There are some downsides to the series. The mysterious organization of the Hand does not look so intimidating. For example, it is shown that resources are running out and there is no unity between them (five fingers) and there was no unity in the past. Sigourney Weaver's not bad, but I think she's a weak antagonist. It is evident that they took it only to interest the viewer.
There are also questions about the series. For example, how Electra found the Iron Fist when the heroes hid him, how she found the Meth's premises. How did she just come to believe that she was nothing but Electra, that she just remembered? Why she killed Alexandra, what her motives were, it is not clear.
I ended up enjoying the series. Of course, when the main characters become in one line and begin to fight off a common enemy, it can not but please. Well, we are waiting for the continuation of all four seasons, and personally I would look at season 2 of the Defenders, if it comes out.

They have not failed this city. Except maybe a little bit.
Four superhero solo books, released to familiarize with the characters, to tell their stories, smoothly migrated into a single crossover, the impressions of which I want to tell. Like many, I have been waiting very hard for the Defenders. What happened? Was it worth all my expectations? And yes, and no.
The first thing that catches your eye is the series. In addition to the fact that it has a beautiful visual style, a beautiful soundtrack in the style of Daredevil (an epic feeling as if something is coming, from which the ants run on the skin), it also has a certain message. Heroes are shown one in the frame, and then combined. This is the meaning of this series – crossover. A well-thought-out and pleasant screensaver that will definitely be remembered for a long time.
Oh, and now for the best of it. Heroes. Most of all, I was afraid that to please the audience, the characters of some characters could change, so that it would be easier to bring together seemingly completely different personalities. That eccentric Jessica will make a typical superheroine who rushes to help everyone and becomes a good fairy. Or the brutal Luke will make a burly Clark Kent, who, as you know, also for world peace. And thank God I was wrong. Their characters remained exactly the same as they were in their soloists. It was very interesting to see how such individuals found a common language and somehow managed to communicate with each other. The interaction of the Defenders among themselves is beyond praise. This is truly a masterpiece, if you will. Each of their verbal skirmishes, each dialogue among themselves and taunting each other - it was a pleasure to watch. I have probably never seen such a successful combination in serial crossovers. The main advantage of this series is the Defenders themselves.
And just like in their solo films, the actors perfectly coped with their roles. Here you have the same wise Matt, the same cool Jessica, the same cool Luke, and the same slightly funny Danny. In short, their team came out just fine. For how Netflix managed to combine them so successfully, you could put ten points at once. But, unfortunately, in addition to the pros, there are always disadvantages.
How much PR the main villain of the series, Alexandra, performed by Sigourney Weaver! Here's another cool character to the list of Killgrave or Fisk. It was really bad. Alexandra was the most boring characters not only of the series, but perhaps the entire lineup in general. Each scene with her participation caused boredom and despondency. Her silence between the most banal phrases, the same facial expression throughout the series, and the overall cardboard character caused great irritation. As soon as I saw her, I wanted her to leave. But, of course, the big name of the actress did its job. Whatever the waiting rating of the series, it would be better if the cast was the same Ripley from Alien. What your character is, it doesn’t matter. It is a pity that the creators did this – a lot of noise from scratch.
It would seem that some eight episodes – there will be a solid movement, a minimum of unnecessary chatter and a maximum of brutality. Unfortunately, that is not the case. Even during this short time, you manage to get tired somewhere, and somewhere you sigh languidly, amazed at why you insert so much unnecessary into the series. Listening to the next dialogue between Kalin and Claire, where they discuss for the hundredth time how hard it is to be assistants to superheroes, their endless solace with pathetic, worn-out phrases – all this gradually becomes sickening. I have nothing against dramatic interesting dialogues, which are sometimes much more to the place of any action or other event, but the same time and again this inflection. A lot, a lot of valueless chatter is very tiring. Except that the Defenders themselves had really interesting and cool dialogues with each other, as I said above. As for the secondary characters... Everything here is either bad or not at all. Karen, Trish, Foggy and the rest seem to be in the background. What is and what is not, no matter what. The same Kalin at least played a significant role, and the rest, well, as if they were not needed, added purely for the tick. Personally, I have this feeling. And their scenes together, where they meet for the first time, so to speak. There is no zest that you want to see the duets of secondary heroes more often. There was no anger, but also interest.
And the script, of course. Within the framework of the superhero project, the plot seems to have been good, but it does not turn into a good language. The most annoying thing about him is the drawing of villains. In Daredevil, the Hand was presented as something mysterious and inexplicable, and from this causing considerable interest. In the “Iron Fist” they have been revealed much more and it became clear that in fact they are quite a human people, not much different from the others. Corporate conspiracies, expansion of spheres of influence, people in multibillion-dollar companies – all as usual. They made some clowns out of them. I have already talked about the unnecessary Alexandra, also from the once colorful Gao made a girl on the errands, Bakuto and another villain with a complex name, first appeared in the lineup, not much different from them, but somehow looked like a threat. It is hard to imagine that an organization with such stupid villains could survive for so long. They did things that were peculiar only to beginners, but certainly not living for many centuries ancient wars. You are not afraid of villains, you do not respect them, so which ones are villains?
And yet, I will say that the series is very good. As everywhere, with its disadvantages, but also with its advantages. The second in this case outweighed. If you have watched all the previous ones, then of course skip the crossover crime. The main thing is not to expect that this will be some kind of culmination, that it will be something incredibly cool, no, this is just the first, and I am sure, not the last of their joint business. The beginning is laid, and then we will see how the creators will dispose of this burden. They're either going to go completely mediocre or they're going to try to bring it back to Matt Murdoch's story. For now,
': Two people talking to each other. One says, ' how's the popcorn movie?' and the other says, 'popcorn tasted better. . . '
I don’t even remember when I saw this project, although it’s been a month. Judging by the estimates on our website and on IMDb, critics are still not modest (somewhere closer to 8 points). In fact, this weather does not hurt, so you still need to judge the project not by estimates, but by the product itself. And frankly, after watching this, I'm not shy about the expressions - a blatant slag - wondering: why did I waste 8 hours of time, which is already missing? To be honest, I gradually return to reading, because at least reading sometimes is very useful.
' Defenders' - already, from the first trailer, I knew that it would work out, what would happen. When it comes to Netflix, someone you don’t ask is a guarantee of quality. Meanwhile, I, except 'Daredevil' - none of this line did not like. I even the last series, did not watch: so boring series, so uninteresting and most importantly - stupid and stupid that even idiotic ' The famous Jessica Jones' (and that - thanks to David Tennant and his 'Killgrave) - looks just a masterpiece. 'Luke Cage' - on the first couples, he started very well, but after the 5th series - the position quickly passed back (if it were not for Mike Colter - he would have dropped the series from the second series). I thought that to fall below 'Fist' there is nowhere, but apparently the economic benefit of those who forged this product in the furnaces - still took up. Why all my verbal taratouy here - everything was bad, although it would seem - this is not CW. But seeing this from Marvel - to put it mildly - weird. Therefore, I will be very brief and only on the case. But at the beginning, I will make a reservation: if you are a fan of Marvel and Netflix series, if you do not want to spoil your mood from watching - you can not read further.
I will tell you about the characters, because there is not enough space. What can I say about them? Judge for yourself: previously cool DDD - has become some kind of snotty smear, which is not rare, if possible and without it, blunted and pathostically drools at the sight of his beloved (apparently ' does not tolerate ' past events). A.K.A Jessica - as many people put it: as she was ' a depressive drunkard' and remained her (a little smarter), but the most important thing here is why J. J., despite the fact that she did not develop at all throughout the series. As they say: ' zero attention'. Then went Luke: always walked with the same role of the tree-like, once, hero of Harlem (think!) I think the knead is different. And to look at such a character, almost unkillable character, against the background of the rest was very strange. But all this pales with Denny LCD - everyone has already said about this frame, on this point we will omit. In other words, even on the LCD sometimes it was very pleasant to watch, because the series brought minor characters, and with this there is a song.
Sigourney Weaver, apparently, dragged, only for the PR of the company (this is all bullshit, of course, but too many actors and actresses, run to Marvel, well, it is clear for what reasons): her person is not interesting, not really disclosed, and in the end... Generally such a shame I have not seen for a long time. The same applies to other members 'Hands'. Other characters, bluntly appeared in the frame, with the exception of some, but even the last. . As it is now popular to say: ' nothing'.
And so they came together: each of the F4s didn't fit in, they just didn't fit in. And especially when all 'fantastic four' gathered together. The story is stupid, to the point of ugliness: the plot holes here are full, what can we say about bright Momets? The humor is almost completely shown in the trailers, there is no irony at all, it is one animal seriousness, especially, she applauds Jessica (although it is kind of like J.K.). J was trying to make fun of her. But I couldn't. I remember the series as a whole and except for the episode in the bar (which, incidentally, was very stupid), I did not remember a single scene: the graphon sucks, the fights are dull, and there are not so many of them, but the final one more resembled the worst mixes in the same, God forgive me, CW. And all together. Music - no, it could somehow brighten up the dull atmosphere. By the end, I was already rewinding sometimes absurdly boring dialogues, just to at least look at the fights, but as I said, they are still ' Pleasure' Well, at least 8 episodes, not 13, as it was before. . .
But again - the series was still made by live people, this - no harm without good. Still, this series is better than any CW (although not far gone) and, even more so - 'Sarikov' The main dignity of the whole series: this is a game of colors - moving from one hero to another, created the proper effect. Credit to authors. The fights are dull, but in the first couples - they were still very much nothing, for the rating ' pull'. Charisma Mike Colter and Charlie Cox - even a stupid script can not spoil, so their episodes can also be called ' normal'. Kristen Ritter - a normal actress: where her talent disappears, I do not know. But speaking of her character, I understand the canon and all that, but showing a drunk (dumb) girl on the screen is a bad role model.
There is no need to sum up: after this series, I finally decided not to touch the series of this genre, I will limit myself to full-length films. And the series itself, even having stars - full ' vomiting powder'. My assessment of the series:
3 out of 10
And if you, for some reason, missed this series - we ignore such stupid clowns as me, who babbled on ' Holy & #39; - boldly run to watch. And from myself add: something too much this year ' Defenders' out. . .
The series disappointed. Maybe not as much as the solo about the Iron Fist, but still from what I saw was expected much more. Next, we take turns to analyze the main characters and everything related to them.
In fact, the coolest of all four Daredevil all 8 episodes are simply not himself. For instead of being the desperate, gloomy and brutal avenger we're used to seeing, Matt does nothing but snot his resurrected killer girlfriend and go off thinking about who he's still going to be. The saddest thing here is that the role of the leader of the Daredevil Defenders team was not even really tried on. Probably because he's become a smudge who needs a leader himself. As a result, we never saw any teamwork. By the way, as the only costumed hero in the team, he looked somehow ridiculous against the background of the others, especially in good lighting.
Iron Fist has not changed at all. He is still the same naive and hot-tempered child who is manipulated by everyone who is not lazy. Throughout the series, he continues to walk with an offended and slightly angry face and, as before, commits absolutely thoughtless acts, which only annoys. The LCD fights just as badly and continues to get a beard from everyone from whomever possible. The Great Master of Martial Arts is called... Danny began to use his fist power more often, but, on the other hand, he thereby only showed that without this power he would lose to almost anyone. And, taking this opportunity, I will once again emphasize that with the selection of the actor for the role of the LCD, the authors well missed very much. In the Defenders, this was only confirmed once again. His image was analyzed in detail here, in the review of his solo series.
Jessica Jones, surprisingly, remained the same depressed drunkard, constantly releasing barbs to others, nothing new. It was expected that after the events in her series, she will be at least a little more fun, but it seems that this is her natural image. She did not join the Defenders team at all; neither as a fighter, which she is not in principle, nor as a detective (brains), as which she practically did not manifest herself. Seriously, removing her from the show would have made no difference, except that the humor would have diminished a little.
Luke Cage, like Jessica, also did not much influence the development of the plot. And he also did not really fit into the team, since the “muscle” somehow did not cope with its main role. More precisely, we can say, he was simply not allowed to reveal himself in this role by the writers. He did not find a worthy opponent in the story. And watching a healthy black man fight with a barely walking grandmother, who is 3 times smaller than him and at the same time gives him heat, causes only bewilderment. It is worth noting that Luke in the Defenders somehow painfully "grounded": then his hands and feet broke everything, then he suddenly without any explanations with simple blows to the ground, or even cut down. For the record, walk the whole series with a “stone” indifferent face and a minimum of replicas could any rocker from the gym. And in general, watching this physically invulnerable character is not very interesting. That is why his solo series was deprived of attention.
The villains, like their organization, became one of the main disappointments of the series, all five leaders of the Hand. None of them were normally revealed as individuals. Near Ambal of Daredevil, they are not even five next to each other. Even the same Madame Gao and Bakuto whom we saw earlier, did not manifest themselves in any new way. About the “killer of moon bears from Japan” and the “leader of the African branch of the Hand” generally nothing to say, because about them and in the series itself did not say much; just quickly entered into the plot, labeled bad and also quickly and leaked. Sigourney Weaver was obviously superfluous here, since even her character, the leader of the Hand itself, was also not allowed to open at all. So, for her role, you could take someone less famous. And Lieutenant Ripley himself was invited to the project, it turns out, purely for the sake of PR. And Electra as an antagonist did not please at all and, as a “superweapon”, from which everyone almost peed with fear, made no impression. As a result, the leaders of the Hands were not revealed to us, but their very organization was revealed: a powerful, sinister and mysterious organization turned out to be only a small collection of unorganized pathetic bandits, not of a global, but of a local scale. How they were going to destroy New York was not even hinted at.
Fights in the series are the same squalid as in the Iron Fist (it seems that they put the same amateurs) and to the level of a series about the same Daredevil clearly do not reach all parameters. Bad fight choreography again. Too many close-ups again. Again, the action itself is very small; most of it happens in very poor lighting. Add the camera twitching in all directions again and there will be little that is clear from what is happening. As for the fighting skills of the leaders of the Hand, in short, the fighters are as bad as the leaders. As a result, the final brawl in the dark was more like a street showdown in the backyard than the battle for New York. It left a very unpleasant impression. No scale, no sense of threat to the city and people, no epic.
In general, the quartet with superhero colleagues clearly did not benefit any of the heroes. Daredevil did not reveal himself as a leader and generally showed himself with a pathetic side. Jessica has shown that she’d rather be involved in detective investigations in her solo projects than goofing around with colleagues. Luke showed himself to be a complete freak who did not really want to participate in all this. Well, the homeless man with a glowing fist against the background of his heroic colleagues began to look only more naive and pathetic.
Of all future projects about these four would now look only at Daredevil and Jessica, and then with great fear.
Perhaps the most fig in the films about superheroes - the almost complete absence of murder, because it is already a canon that heroes should be clean and innocent - and weapons usually serve as a decoration for hand-to-hand combat - also happened with this series.
Another ' trump & #39; works about superheroes - the union of heroes from different stories. It is already a pretty easy move, allowing 1/3 of the series / film to devote references and re-telling who knows what and who has what ability. Yes, of course, there is a positive nuance - the story came out more dynamic, but damn it - take at least a scene in a Chinese restaurant - it seems dynamic everything happened - but no, sit down and let's chat almost for a series and a half.
About the heroes themselves - the same Iron Fist came out well not at all interesting. The most important character in the story, in theory, looked like ' the guy who was always banging' and was essentially an excuse to keep shooting to a minimum and turn everything into a pitched muzzle. Again, stamps. His girlfriend - if not for the katana - would not be remembered at all - in the end, she came out perhaps even worse than the Iron Fist, appearing in the frame three times per season. And with Jessica Jones came out not so smoothly, because - the authors completely forgot to connect her effects during the fight - the same ones that were in the original series about her. In this regard, the main emphasis with effects went to Luke Cage, perhaps because of the similar laziness of the creators of the Iron Fist and Grebal - ' castuya' corporate reception with a frequency of once an hour.
And of course, against the background of such canons, heroes like Stick are the most negative. So I'm still more of a Deadpool fan than this kind of old-fashioned cliche with spineless heroes who still won't take it that they're on the other side of the law, that is, because they'll bleed - no karmic retribution will come from the sky in response, but it will be more interesting to watch. Here, in general - the villains are immortal - God himself ordered to speed up the process of an endless duel. Yes, and in general - God with him with weapons, the same hand-to-hand fights as for me it was time to make more bloody - because in no way should you feel any power in the blows besides the destruction of walls and furniture. The authors are so eager to keep the rating of 12+/16+ that sometimes the cartoons come out more bloody. The reason for this is several common beliefs - firstly, that films about superheroes are watched exclusively by younger audiences, and secondly, that ' children have not yet seen, or even become cruel', which is also nonsense - I think at the moment every self-respecting schoolboy more than played games in the spirit of the last Doom.
They are glad that they found each other, but they will not hug.
Netflix is a streaming service, the name of which is a guarantee of the quality and uniqueness of the projects created by it. It is no coincidence that the leadership of the television division Marvel chose this streaming channel to implement an ambitious idea - the creation of four series about superheroes with their subsequent merger into a team project Defenders. Once it worked with The Avengers, so why not try the same recipe in TV format? With personal shows about each hero special troubles were not observed, but what happened at the general gathering?
Plot. The whole concept of the series is built on the confrontation of a team of superheroes of a sinister organization called the Hand and their relationship to the mystical place K'un-Lun. In fact, this is a logical continuation of the series about Iron Fist and the second season about Daredevil. As a result, the presence of Luke Cage and Jessica Jones here often seems rather strange, since they fought opponents other than secret sinister organizations and resurrected ninjas. But the creators of the series tried in every possible way to smooth out this nuance under the guise of sharp jokes and self-irony. They just couldn’t do that with the series as a whole. Even with a shortened season from the standard 13 episodes to 8, the story is very long. The main reason is little action and a lot of talk. And if in the first two episodes you try to interpret this as familiarity with the characters and setting priorities, then in subsequent episodes this course of events becomes a real headache. I’m not an opponent of philosophical dialogue with revealing characters, but watching half of the series as the main characters reflect or just chat about the “right” topics in a restaurant, police station, abandoned premises or other places is too much even for a connoisseur like me. Because of this, the plot sags strongly, and sometimes even an insert with a short fight does not save the situation.
Director. The whole series is based on the main advantages of solo projects of each hero: the gloomy and harsh atmosphere of Daredevil with real consequences, the audacity and permissiveness of Jessica Jones, the slowness and sophistication of the narrative of Luke Cage and the unrestrained blind courage of Iron Fist. The director tries to make a mix of these concepts, superimposing the world of one character on the world of another, achieving logical and visual correspondence. But it wasn't as easy as I wanted. After all, against the background of the world of the Iron Fist with its mysticism, ninjas, dragons and secret organizations, the rest of the trinity seems to be a primitive group of heroes and their stories are woven into the above with great effort.
The visual component. First of all, it is worth noting an interesting solution with the allocation of each hero a personal color. Despite the team project, we are shown that each of these super-four is a separate person and must be considered (although the writers have bothered to remind us of this as often as possible). The same idea was reflected in the stylish opening. In general, everything that happens on the screen, in terms of the picture, can be divided into two components: the gloom of Daredevil with frequent scenes, when you are forced to expose the brightness of the screen to the maximum to see something and “bright” everyday life of Jessica Jones; you can only dream about the bright and carefree landscapes of New York from Luke Cage and Iron Fist. It is worth emphasizing the staging of action and fights - a minimum of destruction and ballet kung fu moved here straight from the series about Danny Rand. Still, I note the unique presentation of behavior in battle for each of the heroes: one destroys and throws everyone, others use knowledge in martial arts, and Jess just takes and beats the muzzles. That's a big plus for that.
Characters. All the actors played at the same level, and Finn Jones even added a little in acting, which I consider a positive side of the series, but the main four did not develop their characters because of the same script. All presented in a familiar light, constantly throwing heroes into the ringed abyss of the same in-team showdowns. It is worth noting the development of the Iron Fist. No, I’m not talking about Mr. Rand (he’s still the same naive, trusting guy), but here the Fist, as a living tool and defender of K' Un-Lun (a more accurate list to clarify from the same Danny), here is just a huge progress. In 8 episodes of the general series, we learn about this entity and its mythology much more than in 13 episodes of the solo show. It's amazing, isn't it? Also a big thank you to Miss Jones – although she remained a thorn in the tongue a lady, but these sharpness often saved from despondency in protracted dialogues.
Perhaps it is worth emphasizing the main villain and leaders of the clan of the Hand. When I learned that Sigourney Weaver would be a major thorn in our superheroes, I was thrilled. This woman is a recognized actress with dozens of strong roles behind her shoulder and should expect something really interesting. I didn't miss it: a sophisticated and thoughtful lady with leadership qualities who has everything under control. What more can we expect from the head of such an intimidating organization? As for me, there was not enough power and implementation of the image. The writers bothered to give freedom to the dominant omnipotence of the character in only one brief monologue. Ms. Weaver was just as hostage to the drama of the script as the other four fingers of the Hand. All of them turned out not to be as scary and reasonable as for long-lived leaders; only Ms. Gao stands out against their background, to which we are already accustomed in other projects.
Conclusions
Every time I read reviews, I am surprised by neutral reviews. In my mind, you either liked it or you didn’t... but the Defenders got me stuck! This show has everything I expected from him: a team mix with fights (internal group in particular), reconciliation with the characteristics of each of them, the presence of a large-scale villainous organization, pathetic dialogue and teasing each other. But all this was too little or not disclosed enough. The creators of the series delved deeply into the personal problems (most often contrived) of each of the characters that did not notice how this negatively affects the overall concept of the story. Action and stylish battles with villains, which so relied on the audience (and what, in fact, was the whole idea of the show), were pushed to the background, and it was filmed very sloppy. Balancing the concepts of “worthy” and “complete failure”, I still catch myself thinking that “Defenders” is more a good series than a bad one, but definitely does not reach the expected level. For the daring and charismatic Jessica, who sometimes saved protracted dialogue, and for the skeleton of the dragon, who still wiped the nose of the skeptical Trinity about their existence, still tip the scales in a positive direction.

One of the most ambitious series in the last few years came out and made a lot of noise, it’s a pity that the hype was usually negative. Combining 4 Marvel comic book characters was supposed to elevate Marvel to the skies, raise the prestige of Netflix and finally bury the sidab, but what happened. Everything is bad, not terrible and, however, we can even say that it is normal, but against the background of expectations, everything is bad.
Well, first, the series was given only 8 episodes, despite the fact that solo projects had 13-hour chances to develop the character. Now they decided that they all developed, all good. Well, or corny there were no ideas and could not stretch the timekeeping. However, there were few ideas without it. Few ideas and little money, the motto of the series.
First, there will be second. Expectation is perhaps the main question to ask yourself. We’ve all seen the breakout season 1 of Daredevil, the interesting Jessica Jones and Luke Cage with Iron Fist, which most didn’t like. It would seem that perhaps in the combined series weak characters will succeed in symbiosis with the strong and they will blossom, but again not. Luke's still a righteous dude, Danny's still an idiot. It is expected to be carried by Matthew and Jessica.
The series is too small, there is a lack of budget. Well, just like all the fights take place in some slum, for which you have to add brightness on the screen to see what is happening there. The fights themselves. Daredevil has become the same superhero as everyone else, Fist despite the fact that the super ninja, gets on the cheeks from everyone in a row, and Luke and Jessica can only kick.
The script is banal, terribly cliched and sometimes creates game for the sake of promoting the plot. For example, Luke can turn from a tank into a pear to fight completely for fun. The main characters were mentioned. The secondary ones are more pleasing, their actions are well even justified. My favorite character of the series for me was Madame Gao, a wise grandmother, to whom I want to listen and destroy to the devil any town, such as Ulyanovsk or at least one district, because the Gopniks got to me yesterday, but there was no devil of hellish cuisine.
To you, to us and to the third. In general, the series can be divided into two parts. The first part covers the series from 1 to 3 and it’s good, the atmosphere is escalated and we’re waiting for something incredible, some epic combination of characters. Well, it's gonna be here. For fans of these series, it will be like a miracle. Singlely on the characters is more pleasant to look, the devils were good contrast between them, so Jessica was in purple, Luke in yellow and so on. Episodes 4 through 8 are bad. I have everything.

So, this is a Marvel theme with four slightly outsider superheroes: Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, Iron Fist and Daredevil.
Each of the characters already has its own multi-part & #39;radial & #39; story, and all these four lines converge in a new project from NETFLIX. The actors are the same (yes), and Detective Rosario Dawson is here, and even Sigourney Weaver is there.
I’ve only watched the TV series ' Iron Fist' (well, you know, watching everything right away is pretty complicated), so I’ll evaluate the plot in isolation from the four disparate backstory. Since the cool dudes unite, it means that evil has become completely invincible - this is already clear, but how interesting and great it looks, we will see.
It all starts with a brief overview of each character’s current life situation – for those who, like me, are slightly unaware. It is worth noting that there is no semantic break with the series already shot about the heroes: there is a new story, the setting of which occurs in the first series.
In fact, there are practically no normal series about superheroes, where there are several characters with abilities ('Legion' it does not count - it is still one of its kind). So it should be interesting anyway. However, the quality needs to be clarified.
On the other hand... NETFLIX doesn't do shit, it's true. It remains only to understand in what direction will develop ' Defenders' and whether all expectations will be met.
Cool Jessica with undisguised sociopathy and love of alcohol, does not plan to go to a new level of heroism and declare themselves to the world. Lives and lives, reluctantly communicating with others.
No less cool black big guy gets out of prison, but is not going to start anything again, because his goal is just to move forward.
Mr. Daredevil quietly works himself, protecting (and winning in court) the interests of ordinary people, gives instructions to a boy who became disabled due to an accident, and here seems to immediately draw a hint of a relationship.
Iron Fist hangs out somewhere on a neighboring continent in search of answers and revenge (with a girl from his mono-series), when an unsaved dude tells him that the hero’s struggle awaits him in New York.
Each of the characters has already revealed a secret to someone in their local story, preceding the Defenders & #39; each somehow distinguished himself, winning several, again, local cases - against criminals / villains. But so far, their actions did not have a large scale, which means that the name is far from the Avengers.
In the frame appears Sigourney Weaver, a serious and terminally ill lady, which, despite all her & #39; resources & #39; no doctor can offer full medical support. And now her suspicious plans will have to be accelerated.
In parallel with each of the characters there are quite mysterious small events. Jessica is asked to find her missing husband - and then she receives a threatening call; a cop comes to Luke for help; Daredevil's girl asks about his desire to save the city further; and Iron Fist has a terrible dream. New York City is on the verge of some kind of massive disaster, and so far none of the main characters know what is happening. However, it is with a powerful shake-up in the Big Apple that events begin to develop.
In general, it turns out such a gloomy cocktail: a dark city full of criminals and evil, positive characters look like antiheroes - they are also frank outsiders who are quite far from the original appearance of the all-powerful superhero, and the colors in the series are all gray and blue. We get a thriller almost without jokes (black humor does not count), with bad habits, with dirty words and outright dislike of people - from the main characters.
First of all, I want to say that I am not familiar with the solo books of the main characters and did not particularly read the original source, but if you are a nub like me, and just came to look at something, then ordinary Wikipedia articles will suffice for you.
So let's start with! What we have: a few main characters who are about to go through a difficult and turning point in their lives, an evil corporation that wants to take over the world. Is there anything else you need? Ha, suck it up, to Marvel moviemakers, we're just going to watch all eight episodes.
You know, there is nothing original here. It is not at all clear why the “Hand” (that sinister corporation) would destroy New York (for the sake of some substance, in fact, but does that explain anything?), what are the powers of the main villains and what kind of people they are. In other words, only Alexandra is remembered from the antagonists (well, because Siguni Weaver played her, and you can immediately see that she is the smartest in the room).
And yes, I'm really mad at the Iron Fist! I'm sorry, but I had to say that because it's just impossible, because every episode he just whines and nothing else. He's like me at 13, so he's miserable as a person and as a superhero.
For the rest, we have a freshly reclining Negro soaked in the atmosphere of his Harlem, an iron lady soaked in depression and whiskey (I think) and a fair lawyer who leads a double life (he is also the Devil of Hell’s Kitchen – Daredevil). In short, quite cool and extraordinary personalities, in my opinion.
As for the technical side, everything here is done much higher than average, I would even say good. Each character has its own color scheme, its own atmosphere, its own style. What can I say, even the screensaver is not bad. Yeah, well done. Except for the fight scenes. They suck a little.
In general, they turned out to be average, these are your “Defenders”. Sometimes boring, protracted, boring, infuriating, ill-conceived ...
Average but notable.
Defenders - how many meanings in this word. For some, this is a pathetic parody of the superhero from Andreasyan, but for others, this is the same series – a crossover that will unite the entire team of street heroes. Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage and Iron Fist. While the Marvel Cinematic Universe is thundering on the big screens, Netflix in the cozy scale of one city gives off its serial universe with blood, sex, gloom, realism and cool characters. In the cinema you will see how the avengers, saving a city, with a majestic epic and pathos, fight aliens and robots. Blockbusters with a lot of special effects, famous actors and a funny narrative. On the TV screen, everything is presented with accuracy, and vice versa. The story of each of the 4 characters was told in separate seasons. And each of them is filled with a specific atmosphere of a gloomy city, where crime somehow affects the lives of our heroes. Characters are given to reveal themselves in full, the format of the series allows you to tell in detail all their motives and experiences, the plot is based on quite good scripts, the choreography of fights at the proper level, as well as excellent villains (Wilson Fisk, Killgrave), well, where without the Punisher.
If we briefly describe the plot, we can say this: Heroes continue to live after the events that happened to each of them in individual seasons. By chance, each of the characters has a problem, and the ancient criminal organization “Hand” is associated with this problem. Daredevil and Iron Fist have already encountered this “OPG” in the series dedicated to them. And now, the characters will unite to destroy the Hand once and for all.
I really like the Daredevil series. It has a great cast, excellent shooting, and in general, I like a gloomy approach to such projects. Charlie Cox believably plays the blind (though very capable). “Jessica Jones” kept the bar of coolness, the confrontation with Killgrave was excellent, it was interesting to watch. “Luke Cage” and “Iron Fist” also came out well, but here you can find fault with the monotony of what is happening and the monotony of the narrative. The first is Iron Fist and the second is Luke Cage. There and there you can have problems if you want. And if they are so easy to find, then the quality of the series began to fail. But the whole company looks good together. The events that took place in the Defenders were interesting to watch. The picture is still juicy and gives a gloomy entourage.
In terms of acting, the most pleased Kristen Ritter (Jessica Jones) and Charlie Cox (Daredevil). The first, with its cynicism and alcoholism, added humor to the series, and the second just looked great on the screen. Mike Colter (Luke Cage) and Finn Jones (Iron Fist) didn’t stand out for me, even though they should have. They are an important part of the story as a whole! Sigourney Weaver (Alexandra) is probably difficult to play badly, so I have no comments on her, everything is on the level, especially she plays a negative character. The same should be said about Elodie Jung (Electra) - cute and murderously dangerous.
As in the previous Marvel series from Netflix, there is its opening. And he is now second to me after Daredevil. The well-built aesthetic of the frame adds highlights to the series. Beautiful battle scenes set the drive of the narrative. Although, to be honest, they get a little annoying at the end. That was the case with the iron fist, and it happened here. No, seriously, there are a lot of them.
The series is full of cool scenes and good dialogue (mostly from J.J.). The unification of the heroes happened, but it happened not as dashing and fervent as we expected. I would call it meditative action. I would also like to mention the illogical nature of the characters in certain situations. I will not disclose the details, I think the questions will arise in your mind when viewing. "Defenders" came out a good continuation of the serial universe of Marvel, but not perfect. Now we are waiting for “The Punisher” and the continuation of all the aforementioned series.
I recommend it to those who want to see a local superhero on a small screen. And most importantly, a superhero not from CW (Arrow, Supergirl, etc.)
May the devil of Hell's Kitchen forgive me.

Another long-awaited Marvel/Netflix project called Defenders. Not the best choice for a title. Of course, I watched the previous screen stories, successful (Daredevil - Season 2, Jessica is not bad) and not very (Fist and Cage).
“Defenders” tells us about the first gathering of local super-, and not-so-heroes to jointly fight a common enemy. The team got many already familiar: Daredevil, Iron Fist, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage. They will meet in different paths, but they will understand that together they are stronger and can protect their beloved city. We are talking about New York, it will develop the plot.
The stories of the main characters to varying degrees have already been revealed in previous solo albums. As in his project, the “Demon of Hell’s Kitchen” turned out best. The character of Charlie Cox - Mat Murdoch to watch the most interesting, because he has the most weighty motivation, and the actor perfectly conveys the emotions and fluctuations of his character. Perhaps he will be the only white spot of this group.
The iron fist, in my opinion, did not work out at all. He is indecisive, quick-tempered, stupid and unbalanced – the exact opposite of what a chosen warrior should be. His childish whims and unreasonable outbursts of anger were unpleasant to watch either in the solo project and also in this crossover.
Jessica Jones plays almost no role in the story, just has to be. It is not very interesting to watch her, the essence of the heroine is shown indistinctly. She apparently decided not to develop after her victory over the main enemy of life in a solo project. A similar story with Invincible, his motives are questionable, his inner experiences do not touch, and it is simply not interesting to watch his development in the team. Their love line and mutual sympathy are finally buried. Again, their need for the plot is questionable, as is their superpowers. The ninja-grandma does not cause difficulty to throw them around the corners in a fight.
The disadvantages also include the main villain – all the same secret ancient organization “Hand”. The sinister leader-puppet master is a certain Alexandra (Sigourney Weaver), the character and charisma of the character clearly failed to reveal. The other four handshakes don’t show much either. Unless Madame Gao, a fragile, cunning old lady, has something to remember. As for the organization as a whole, the scope is clearly lacking! The creators of the series are trying to show their power and influence, but in appearance there are only 100 people. Armed mainly with melee weapons (katans, clubs), some know how to shoot, but for some reason, only bulletproof Luke. A simple gang of gangsters, that's all! Electric "black sky" is also nothing terrible, it would be better to resurrect Kilgrave.
The main battle scenes, though executed with diligence, but still look more like a bunch of small. Hardness and persuasiveness are not enough. The plot is simple and banal. It's very boring to watch. The main characters are poorly portrayed. The ending does not cause much emotion either. The final battle is just a small fight in the dark.
I didn't live up to expectations.
“Defenders” of a healthy person, which will now be discussed, was one of the most anticipated serial projects for Marvel. The series, uniting already cult TV heroes, was to become a real emblem of the superhero segment on TV. Unfortunately, nothing like that happened. The guys from Netflix did not reach the same quality level of the team “Avengers”. But the potential was even greater than that of a large-budget film project. And the relatively adult setting of all Netflix series about superheroes, and the 8-episode format that allows (ideally) to fully reveal the characters, show cool action, and sprinkle a pinch of drama from above, and creative freedom – all this could make “Defenders” the best TV project about a team of superheroes. In fact, none of these elements add pluses to the series, and even pale, not giving any features of the show, leaving the viewer bored during the supervision. “Defenders” leave on another aspect, no less important.
The main thing that is worth scolding the series is the secondary and weak plot. The story begins with the continuation of the stories of each of the heroes of New York. Matt is reflecting on the loss of a loved one and for several months has not put on a suit, but successfully defends the interests of ordinary people in court, Jessica is not eager to take up the work of a detective, Luke comes out of prison, “drinks coffee”, and immediately rushes to help the guy around the neighborhood, and Danny and his girlfriend continue to hunt for “Hand”. Solving their cases separately, the characters at a certain point face, which looks very interesting. The series competently connects the fates of the characters, connecting indirectly related stories, thereby constructing a fairly strong backbone on which the same interesting further narrative could develop. However, almost nothing interesting happens after the first series. Characters, rather sluggishly moving from location to location, investigate the circumstances of accidents in order to get to the top of the “Hands”, while not really understanding what they will do when they reach the goal.
The “war” with the “Hand”, which was talked about so much in previous series, remains behind the scenes. In fact, it seems to take place before the events of the series, and we are shown only its consequences, which will have to deal with the Defenders. But these consequences do not affect civilians in New York, which is why the “danger” from the “sinister organization” is not particularly felt. Well, yes, we've seen what they're capable of before, and maybe there's no need to show the power of the cult again. But Komon, we have a global crossover, where there must be a global and dangerous villain. In fact, we get boring antagonists with very superficial and banal motives, which are also revealed only towards the end. Alexandra performed by Sigourney Weaver came out quite charismatic, but completely uninteresting and boring.
I want to scold the action, which should be much better in such projects. In "Defenders" fights are slightly better than in "Iron Fist", and, unfortunately, do not reach the level of "Daredevil".
The positives of the series are in the characters. All the characters did not lose the charm that we watched in previous series. And every time our pets start talking (or fighting) to each other, there will be a big smile on your face, because every interaction is truly great. You can feel all the chemistry between the characters, and while watching, there will always be a desire to get into their conversation or quarrel, and also “warm” to talk heart to heart. The coolest (both in reaction to everything that is happening and in development), of course, was Daredevil. But Danny Rand sometimes pissed off his actions. This could not have been without the chic actors skillfully selected by Marvel for their roles.
Though “Defenders” did not become the hallmark of Marvel series from Netflix, but you will get your share of pleasure from watching. At least with the main task – to bring all the characters together, and to do it fun and fun – the series coped. However, the story can not be called frankly terrible. I just wish I had more. Well, while "Defenders" can be considered worse than "Sovrigolov" and "Jesski Jones", but better than "Luke Cage" and "Iron Fist".

Defenders is the first crossover of all characters of the serial branch of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Black so minimally bright Cage, Iron Fist whining from a desert island.
Netflix's MCU series were very fit at first, but starting with Luke Cage, they began to roll. First there was Daredevil, who was very cool, with a very charismatic main character, an interesting world and, most importantly, an awesome antagonist. You can't say the same thing about the scumbags.
This is an ordinary serial TV show about superheroes, which can be watched once. No interest from the first series, and at all does not cause any. We’re stuck with famous characters, yes, but they just exist, just fight and nothing more. There is no character development. Villains are very primitive, although the development of this conglomerate has been for several seasons of other series. Sigourney Weaver here furniture, she is in the frame, she plays, but does not cause any interest at all.
The story is in the trash. Very boring, trivial and stupid. Directing got really bad. Zero effort to make the series visually appealing. The characters and the camera move randomly and nobody gives a shit, it was disgusting to watch. Apparently, during the filming of episode 8, Netflix came to the crew and said, “We take the lights from you, and you shoot in the basement with an iPhone flashlight,” because to see how a very black Luke Cage fights with a grandmother, an Asian and someone else fully dressed in black, in a dark basement, where they just cut off the wiring, you need to have a night vision device, twist the brightness on the maximum and stab yourself at this time, so that the pupils expand.
Poorly staged show design. There are such annoying moments, simple but inexcusable for a series of this magnitude. A la Jessica Jones Googles in a poorly made animation from Adobe Flash.
From the whole season, only Jessica, with whom I never cease to associate myself, and Elektra were happy. I was happy with the fight, because the series was created just for her.
After the film 'Sin City' no one will say that comic book productions are kindergarten. And even the failed shit of last year, 'Suicide Squad', do not damage the whole picture, where there are, for example, masterpieces like 'Sucker Punch'.
Slowly, to this level pulled up and series. Of course, we are not talking about cheap shit like 'Arrow' and other Spider-Man.
For me, serial comics began with 'Daredevil'. It was a revelation - and acting, and script, and dynamics, and even (her mother) philosophy. And the supporting actors pleased - ranging from the red vampire from ' True Blood' and ending with the most colorful bald big scoundrel (actor Vincent Onofrio, who starred in a bunch of directors, from Kubrick to Stone).
Last year, a little worse, but still well declared himself ' Iron Fist' where a bonus to everything else was Lrras Tyrrell from ' Game of Thrones' in the title role.
And so, last week, quite unexpectedly, a pleasant event happened. When there was nothing to watch, the series ' Defenders' came from nowhere. And what’s nice – all eight episodes of the season at once, and not an hour for a teaspoon, as HBO likes.
On Friday and Saturday, I did eight episodes. Easy and easy.
What can I say? Comic is a strictly genre thing. I mean, you know in advance what's coming. Namely, in the main, a good guy (and sometimes a girl) with some superpower. For this ability, the hero usually had to pay something cruelly in the past. Whether the death of the family, or physical injury, or just bad character and alcoholism in the last stage.
On the other side of the scale is a scoundrel who does not exchange for trifles, but wants to destroy either the whole world or, as a light variant, New York.
It would seem that for creators such a rigid framework should impose restrictions on creative impulse. But no, there is enough room for maneuver for talented writers-directors.
So in 'Defenders' - the trick was that they brought together several superheroes in one team. Yeah, it's not new. But it turned out all on five, and not so talentlessly masquerading, bombasticly pretentious, as in (not by night be remembered) 'Suicide Squad'. Daredevil and Iron Fist are in the foreground, which made me very happy.
Overcoming many small problems and global crises, the heroes, as usual, save the world. True, they suffer losses, pay a bloody price and shed a sea of tears on each other. However, the best on the arena still remain, because show must go on - the studio should shoot next season (or better a few).
The management of Marvel clearly believes that they have found the perfect formula for the development of their universe. Many quietly intersecting with each other solo projects then collide at one point giving rise to a powerful crossover. And with the cinematic universe, this technique worked perfectly, and even more than once, but with the series everything turned out to be somewhat more complicated. Either the connections between the characters were less built, or simply failed the script.
The authors could not find a new interesting antagonist for the united heroes and for the third time they slipped the hand clan that seems to have gotten us all. I've always thought that these semi-Masons, semi-Ninjas, look like operetta villains and their appearance in general spoils history. They tried to unravel the mystery of the clan’s origins, delve us deeper into their ideology, and finally explain why their leaders can come back from the dead. Formally, showrunners coped with all these tasks, but the answers to some questions can only cause laughter.
What really happened was the interaction between the heroes. We see how the course of events changes and attitude to each other, and outright distrust becomes a sincere friendship. Yes, they are really different and are not able to agree on many issues, but they trust each other and are able to accept the rightness of others. And the directors still worked on combat interaction, the style of each of the Defenders is unique and they skillfully use their strengths.
Of course, the series is not as weak as Iron Fist or even Luke Cage, but I clearly expected more from the meeting of four already beloved heroes. Yes, some moments in it are very good, but the overall picture is rather pale.
P.S. Accompanying each character throughout the series, personal color gives the picture a certain completeness and aesthetics.
Giving the world four series about superheroes raised by New York, Marvel and Netflix decided to link their fates in one crossover series ' Defenders'. I confess, I expected this crossover even more than five years ago ' The Avengers' because the history of these heroes dragged much more than that of ' the highest echelon' the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Overall, it was good. Starting as a series of sketches from the lives of known superheroes, the series begins to slowly intertwine them, leading to one place, where in fact the battle against evil begins. Heroes do not seem to be taken out of context, quite logically react to each other and even other writers do not interfere with their existence in the usual images. In general, the crossover pleases with its composition: the noiriness of Daredevil and Jessica, a certain fabulousness of the Iron Fist and the dashing enthusiasm of a fighter for justice from Harlem give together a rather tasty picture.
An excellent format was chosen for the series: 8 episodes do not allow writers to make boring series, forcing the plot to spin faster. It doesn’t look like they had to sacrifice conflict and bring the characters together as soon as possible. Fear that someone was given little time, quickly dispelled: all the characters got their moment of glory.
At the same time, there would be no point in this review if the series did not have some shortcomings.
First of all, it is a villainous composition. Stunning Madame Gao, of course, and here pleases the incredible age-old wisdom and restraint, but the head of the organization, Alexandra, pumped up. Sigourney Weaver, an excellent actress who produced the image of a strong and powerful woman, in the end turned out to be just bait for the viewer. It seems that if this character was not originally, nothing would have changed. Black Sky, aka Electra, lacks motivation. Until the end of it is unclear what she achieves, especially strange seems her behavior at the end of the season.
Unfortunately, the secondary characters who were companions of the heroes in their solo films were simply dropped like ballast. There is also no special interaction between them, they communicate in bunches, as they were in the series.
It would seem that there are some flaws in the heroes themselves, they became a little flatter, but at the same time it would be unfair to spend a little more time on someone. However, I will be honest, most of all personally I was pleased with the image of Jessica, despite the fact that I love Daredevil an order of magnitude more.
The crossover turned out to be decent, with a good soundtrack, a beautiful picture and a good acting. I didn’t regret the time I spent on the show, which can sometimes happen. The main hope for the future is that the heroes will learn from this experience, and will not break ties with each other, periodically looking at each other for coffee or another fight with a new villain.

I love Marvel. I even watch Agents of the Shield, although it's not the best show, especially the first season.
The Netflix universe has set a very high bar for every season and series. Interesting deep villains, a difficult plot, character development, intrigue.
From the reunion of the heroes expected more. As a result, got the shortest season of all Marvel Netflixs, no villain (Weaver loves, but here she is unconvincing, gray, like the other villains). The plot does not develop, the most banal superhero, which also leaves a lot of questions. And the questions are not from the series “and what will happen next”, but from the series “and why at all?”
The biggest disappointment is Jessica Jones. A very unusual character for the universe and comics in general. As a result, it plays almost no role.
Overall, the series is disappointed. It leaves a feeling - and why was it done at all, when it is inferior to the previous parts in all the parameters of points by 10.
The only positive point is that I really liked the play of colors throughout the series, each character corresponds to a different color, ranging from the camera lens to the furniture on which they sit.
Here Danny is still not such a fool as in the first Fist, just a kind of child of nature, which still can not take root in the real world (and will not take root, probably, will be killed sooner). In general, the movie is a good one. Stupid, of course, but I guess I'm in a mood. Fist with Jess and before were pretty, about Matt it was interesting to watch, Luke suffered for his solo, the good of it in general there was a little. And there was a lot of Rand himself with his snot and teenage habits, with which the characters around him had to put up. One Rand was so annoyed that he seriously intended to kill him and I was in solidarity with him at that time.
The plot is also not shiny, but it was not boring, drew not so much the action as the interaction between the characters. All have retained their original character, stated and manifested in solo projects. Cage was a good-natured idiot, so he remained. Jess is still depressed, Murdoch still goes to church and doubts every decision he makes. Fist, well, he is the Fist - that is, neither strength nor intelligence, but honor to the moon and beyond. It’s funny to watch the guys find a common language with each other – Jones and Murdoch do not trust each other, Cage is still tense towards Jones and looks unkind towards Murdoch, Murdoch raises his eyes to grief, wondering what he is doing in this campaby, and Danny is getting high from what is happening. Realistically, he just craves the fact that he is no longer alone and tries to establish contact with everyone, which looks even touching, especially this is his ' our Jessica' But it finally became clear why Claire did not immediately turn to Murdoch when she met Rand. Claire, by the way, was at a minimum, which only benefited her, as well as all the other secondary heroes, except that Colin I would like to see a little more. Misty is good, Karen was annoying, Foggy is always good, although at the end and spoiled the impression, but we will see how in the third season DD continue.
By villains. Grandma Gao is out of competition, in general I love this character, Alexander ... puff no more, Electra ... rocks only towards the end, but the actress is always nice to look at, I hope to see her character in the future. The hand is still in business, how many heads do not cut off, new ones always appear in its place.
Well brought Danny and Murdoch, the ending seems to hint that in season 3 DD Fist may be somewhere else flash, it would be interesting.
Well, the Punisher trailer, of course, for sweet. Now we wait for him.
I have been waiting for the release of this series since the release of 'Daredevil'. The series is a crossover about the famous team of superheroes of Marvel comics and let the team, which is represented in the series never in the comics was not going, but this look at the moment the most suitable.
For me, Iron Fist and Luke Cage found their place in teamwork, whereas their soloists were not at this level. Well, Charlie Cox and Jessica Henwick always get along in their role. But there was a lack of openness and recklessness in the relationship of the team, I think season 2 will fix it. Secondary characters, friends of each hero make up their background, on which they feel the same characters and their interaction, the influence on the plot is also inseparable.
The story of the characters shown in solo films led to the key point and the reason everyone fight together to destroy the clan of the Hands, each ' finger & #39; which was shown in individual series. And here is the minus, the paleness of the villains did not allow the characters to truly reveal themselves and raise the plot to a new level.
What is worth to praise the series is the fights, because the heroes have quite often to hang the wards of the Hands and its leaders, and they pay attention to the abilities of the characters, which make them extraordinary.
What was lacking was more action and humor, which is at least enough in the MCU.
I believe that the series about Street Avengers #39 was a success and it will significantly affect the new seasons of each series, and Marvel bosses will pay more attention to them. Despite many opinions, fans of the comic genre will have to taste and brighten expectations of a new film in the universe.
The long wait is over and the Defenders are finally out. This is one of the most anticipated series, which had high hopes, fully justified themselves. Everything that is so loved in solo projects is present here in four times the size.
The first thing the series meets is a very cool intro, designed in the color tones of each hero: red, yellow, green and blue; color transitions are also present in the series itself, changing as the narrative moves from one character to another. And the introduction ends with the heroic OST, which, together with the intro, creates an amazing atmosphere that permeates the series from beginning to end.
The first season has only eight episodes, gradually gaining momentum from the first, introductory series, in which we show the beginning of the story, to the grand and emotional eighth series, which is epically titled ' Defenders'. There is more humor, especially funny moments with Matt’s vision. People who have not watched independent series about heroes, most likely, will not understand why all the commotion, because the story of the Defenders originates, for example, both in Daredevil and in Iron Fist, and watching them will be enough to quickly get used to what is happening. The plot is good, but there are no brilliant ideas here, the classic confrontation of good and evil, which is present in absolutely any such series, but its presentation is performed at the proper level, and it is interesting to follow it - I swallowed all eight episodes on the original and realized that I want more, the first season ended on a very intriguing note, on the last frames all sorts of plots for the second season were already scrolling in my head.
I was happy with the heroes. Daredevil is a favorite character, on which, as I thought, the main emphasis was placed. He's a leader. Here, unlike the solo, Matt is more alive, with his emotions and experiences; The Iron Fist has become more serious and not as naive as previously presented - a definite plus. Growing up; Jessica Jones is no less interesting character, colorful, humorous, won my sympathy, will follow the development of the character; and Luke Cage. Tank moralist. The most positive character in the action plan.
Opponents are typical villains: there are both new and already well-known in other series, but with the same banal aspirations and manic desire to destroy New York. The biggest drawback or omission of the writer - first we were shown a powerful organization called ' Hand', which is subordinate to almost an army of ninjas. In ' Defenders' not a single ninja is shown, instead of them, the heroes are confronted by ordinary morons-fighters. Fisk, the most interesting antagonist, is a long way off.
' Defenders' turned out to be a very interesting, good-quality and high-quality series and, while watching, I caught myself thinking that it was much more interesting to follow their story than the next Avengers'. The series fully reveals not only the combat component (there are also minor minuses, but the level of fights is almost better than in other series), but also the inner world and character of each of the characters. Now in anticipation of the third season 'Daredevil' and the sequel 'Defenders'
