A truly high-quality action movie with shootings in the style of 'Hitman', large-scale chases, stunt tricks, excellent pyrotechnics and reprisals in the style of “Comando”. Everything is very spectacular and I think it will impress any sophisticated viewer. The central conflict revolves around a terrible intelligence service with a high degree of secrecy and no less terrible killer Travis (Ethan Hawke), who all his life learned to hurt, killing for money. The first spent a billion dollars in the hope to change the course of the war (which exactly was not said, but added '20 billion to a certain corporation with half the U.S. Senate'), and the second, having received ' personal switch', swept away everything in his path in the hope of finding death penance (with accompanying hallucinations, flashbacks and side effect ' lethal drug' ).
' The terrible special service, with a well-established delivery protocol, stole hundreds of laboratory rats for subsequent laboratory experiments, actively interfering in the internal affairs of both South Africa and neighboring countries. Travis breaks all plans and as a result, in the best traditions of the happy ending, immediately goes to heaven.
We have heard a lot about the social disasters of African countries: lawlessness, high crime rates, forced labor, arouses great sympathy. In this regard, making films about Africa is a win-win, as it already guarantees the necessary dramatic effect. Blood Diamond (2006) – one of the best adventure dramas – where Solomon Vandi (Jimon Honsu) snatched his freedom in a bloody battle with the thugs of Sierra Leone. You can imagine the freedom that private security services enjoy. I do not know how things are in South Africa, but judging by the picture, their freedom is unlimited and kidnapping people with whole families and conducting experiments on them is a trifle.
Whether it's true or not doesn't matter. The important thing is that mass abductions are accompanied by a steep, intense action, and the atmosphere of lawlessness generously adds fuel to the fire. The scene where the ruthless residents of Cape Town slums, with stones and sticks, without any fear of dying, lash out at the “experienced guys from the rapid reaction squad”, in my opinion, the best. Awesome movie! I suggest you look.
Reading the description for this film, I mistakenly assumed that, since the hero returns from the dead, then there was not without mysticism. For some reason, immediately comes to mind a thrash called Crazy Riding. That's not a good movie. Already low expectations have fallen even further. As it turned out, it was for the best.
The plot is a rather hackneyed story about revenge and atonement for sins, and the main character needs to manage all this in a fairly short period of time, another chance he will not be given. Just why Hawke’s character is limited in time and why it is given a day, was for me the main mystery and intrigue. As it turned out, there is no place for mysticism, but there is a place for fiction, if we talk about a mysterious resurrection. This plot twist gets explained, and also answers the question of limited time, although both are very superficially disclosed, which is one of the drawbacks of the film. The disadvantages include the nature of the narrative - the first half an hour to watch is simply boring. Everything goes very slowly, viscous and colorful. Here there is an acquaintance with the main character and his entourage, but it is served dull and lazy. Especially since the characters with the same background and present we have seen in bulk before.
But from the moment of resurrection to the end, the fun begins. Slowness is replaced by a cheerful and bloody action, the narrative as if comes to life and negates the boring first half hour. It becomes interesting to watch, blood flows like a river, the main character has less and less time, the count goes for seconds, and he gradually becomes worse. Togo will pass out at the most inopportune moment. And he's not coming back.
And. Hawk looks good in the role of an action hero, copes well with the role and does not forget about the acting game. At the end of it, even the character becomes miserable. There is not much to say about other heroes and villains. The standard main villain, the standard first mate of the main villain, the standard close relative of the hero, the standard victim who is being hunted. All of them turned gray and inconspicuous and will not be remembered for a long time. This is also a significant disadvantage of the picture.
Despite the downsides, I was able to enjoy the film. He is drowning from head to toe in the cliché inherent in many action films, however, the action itself is put very tolerable, spectacular, there is a lot of blood, you feel sympathy for the main character and root for him to the end. If the story had been presented a little more original, so that the first half-hour was more interesting to watch, worked better than the secondary characters, would have focused more attention on the moment with the resurrection and the film would have been better and the assessment it would have deserved more from me.
During the next mission, a killer dies, on whose conscience many innocent victims. But mysteriously, he returns from the other world to life. And now he has only 24 hours to unite with the murderer, by whose hand he accepted death, to atone for the guilt and save his soul.
The plot of the film reminds the story of John Wick. A retired hitman takes on the case, but in this case not for principles and revenge, but for money. His target is a witness ready to declassify the mafia. The storyline has been rocking long enough. At first, the film is a dialogue, a reflection of the character about the past, where his wife and young son live. But as soon as the film crosses the equator, the dynamics of the picture appear. The hero forgets about all the problems and spurred by hours sewn into his hand, begins to save himself and the woman to whom he begins to feel sympathy.
Action scenes look spectacular and built competently, the film does not let the viewer get bored, allowing you to reflect on the topic of justice and retribution.
In general, the film is a high-quality action movie with elements of drama. But for all the coolness of Ethan Hawk’s character, the film failed to eclipse the aforementioned John Wick.

The 80s and 90s can definitely be called the “golden age” and the dawn of the genre of a dynamic action movie on the screen. When these two decades and had an impressive number of decent paintings, most of which even now looks very cool and relevant. Years have passed and such pictures have not been removed for a long time. A pleasant and extremely unexpected representative of the old-school action movie was this film directed by Brian Smrz.
The plot of the picture is a classic for the genre of action movie plot. When betrayed by those he considered his friends, the main character embarks on a path of revenge and raises his punitive sword against them. Some variety and saturation in the story brings a fantastic element of rebirth on 24 hours and it is around this that some morality of the picture is twisted, which is extremely rare for action films. However, devaluing this morality a bit with an absolutely unnecessary hint of an entirely unnecessary possible sequel.
Returning to life after and having 24 hours to atone for guilt, the main character of this film director Brian Smrza literally teaches the viewer that it is never too late to step back a couple of steps and try to correct previously committed mistakes. It’s never too late to change and do the right thing.
We can safely say that 10 years after the release of his debut film “Wanted hero”, the director of this film Brian Smrz is very loud and dignified returns as a director. Shooting a truly dynamic, exciting and damn spectacular action movie with elements of a fantastic thriller and even drama. It’s certainly not John Wick, but the choreography of the fights, the shootings and the staging of all the action scenes is certainly impressive. Literally flooding the viewer with a whole stream of grinding spectacle, which is really breathtaking.
Extremely rarely referring to the genre of action movie Ethan Hawk , perfectly played his role on the screen. Not only as the strongest dramatic actor he unconditionally is, but also as a very authentic action hero. Gladly pleasing the eyes with every appearance on the screen. Happily pleased Xu Qing, which absolutely convincing and cool looked in the image of a full-fledged heroine of the action movie. Not bad turned out the main villain of the tape performed by Paul Anderson. I am pleased with the presence in the picture of Liam Cunningham and Rutger Hauer. Even if their characters in the picture turned out to be criminally few both within screen time and importance in the story.

24 hours to live is a great example of an old-school action movie, but with a slightly modernized spectacular filling. Creating on the screen the impression of a dynamic, exciting and really interesting action movie with a grinding spectacle and a magnificent Ethan Hawk in the image of a hero-fighter.
I wonder who will be the next Hollywood star, who will play a hitman tired of his hard work or a criminal who wants to tie up with his past? There was Cage in Anger, there was Neeson with his Hostage trilogy, there was finally Reeves and his John Wick dilogy. Now this cohort of such guys was joined by Ethan Hawke, who appeared in the image of a hired killer performing the task of one terrorist cell, which is so cool that it operates around the world, but at the same time fears a single incident to which one witness is involved, which can be quite removed not by a bullet, but by something more solid (given the technical capabilities of the organization) and without unnecessary dust.
24 Hours of Life tells the story of a mercenary who wants to retire. He was tired of the life he chose, he was left alone, because his family had a misfortune, only his father-in-law (Rutger Hauer) fell asleep. That's just his bosses are against and they intend to resort to the services of our hero at least once again. While performing the task, he dies, but again finds himself alive to bring the work started to the end or vice versa, to do something good before the 24 hours allotted to him expire.
The main plus of the film is the shooting scenes. They were executed at a decent level and honestly got all the best from such episodes from Wick, for example. What is the final slaughter worth? That's where the pros end. NU, with a stretch here can also be attributed to the dramatic background, the peak of which falls on the final and becomes very discouraging for our studio killer. A script that looks very spectacular in some places turns out to be very stupid. It is hard to imagine that agents of the CIA or Interpol could be so careless as to have an affair with a complete stranger. It is hard to imagine that such a venerable killer (if he really is) as Hawk’s character appears, can move horses so stupidly! Well, about the very essence of the film - about the return from the realm of the dead at all to speak. Returning to the life of a heart shot through a bullet is fantastic, bordering on madness no other way.
But look at you. I do not impose my opinion on anyone.
Take as an example 'The Curse of Annabel', which was promoted as from the creators of 'The Conjuring', but in fact the story about the doll turned out to be many times worse than the dilogy about the Warren family . Same thing here. Writers of the dilogy 'John Wick' participated in the creation of '24 hours', but Mr. Wick is really hard to compete with.
Travis Conrad is killed on a mission, and miraculously brought back to life, though only for 24 hours. He decides to correct all his mistakes and decides to help his killer surrender to the organization that took everything from him.
Ethan Hawke played an excellent killer with moral principles. He lost his family and now every assignment from the Red Mountain organization is questioned. We'll be gradually told his story with flashbacks. The antagonist, the head of the company Wetzler, brought to life Liam Cunningham, which looks very similar to the antagonist of the first part 'Wick'Viggo Tarasov, played by the late Michael Nyqvist.
As for the plot, it is interesting, but with the entourage of John Wick, where your idea and your philosophy can not be compared. This action movie, although it seems standard, but not quite so. In addition to the fact that the main character is left to live 24 hours, and the characters do things with their heads and feelings, not from nonsense and pathos. And it's worth noting that it's pleasing. The hero Hawk periodically 'Hangs' and is overcome by hallucinations, the return from the world of the dead will not pass without side effects. You can even call it a highlight of the film, because while the main character catches ' parishes', everything around unfolds without his participation, while in other action movies the main character does everything everywhere.
The picture is worth looking at, and maybe it will get a sequel regardless of who they take the lead role. It was also nice to meet in the image of the son-in-law of the main character Rutger Hauer, who still has gunpowder in the powderboxes. Go and watch this movie, it will brighten up your anticipation for the third part 'John Wick'.
One of the main reasons why John Wick and its sequel were received favorably by the public is that the narrative there is reduced to a simple approach without sliding into the primitive of the surrounding cinematic world. There were grieving killers, and inventive action, and, of course, the charismatic performer of the title role. No matter how hard the producers and advertisers try to convince the opposite, Ethan Hawke is far from Keanu Reeves, and 24 Hours for Life was not the spiritual brother of John Wick. However, this does not mean that the film is of poor quality. It's just that he's completely different, despite yet another retired super-killer, a mysterious killer organization, and hurricane shootouts.
Travis retired, but got drunk. An employee of Red Mountain, an organization of “black operatives”, named Jim, asks Travis to return. It is necessary to eliminate a defector who wants to give out all the plans of the organization. The killer goes to the Chinese Lin, an Interpol agent who plans to protect the “object”. A girl kills a mercenary in a shootout. Yes, only the “Red Mountain” has a breakthrough technology that can resurrect a person for a day.
24 Hours to Live has all the features of a low-grade action movie. The action here takes place mainly in South African slums, the main role is more or less a famous actor with fading popularity, and the plot includes government conspiracies. Moreover, one of the shooting scenes takes place in the maze of loading and unloading containers. Oddly enough, however, director Brian Smrz seemed genuinely interested in making a memorable film. The heaping of various themes turned 24 Hours into a conceptual originality. Although the idea in action movies is not new, the definition of “a more boring version of Adrenaline” hardly fits “24 hours”. Still, there are many distinctive elements born from the clever use of a limited budget and the small scale of what is happening.
"24 Hours to Live" is devoid of what has become almost one of the most important elements of modern militants - humor. It's kind of a movie where dozens of people have to die so that one child can live. The action jumps from one colorful scenery to another, processing the components of the militant formulas and other genre conventions competently enough. In other words, a competent script is filled with many incidents and supporting characters, but it is not always possible to avoid the feeling of deja vu, let alone fully delve into the sentimental aspects.
Former stuntman Smrz knew exactly how to bring the elements of stunts together. Each subsequent action scene is more intense than the previous one. There are sniper duels with large-caliber rifles, and hurricane skirmishes, and several chases. The budget is stretched to its small limits, so obviously, if something in the frame explodes, it really explodes. In the fights of screen characters still a little variety and almost no hand-to-hand combat.
It was hard for Ethan Hawke to play a “violent man” in my opinion, but this disinterest in machismo is even helpful. Here, the actor chose to play the fear of his hero rather than portray an insecure Rambo, which adds more humanity to this unrealistic action movie. Paul Anderson and brief appearances by Rutger Haeur strengthen castes, with Liam Cunningham playing a ruthless villain.
Not the most memorable action film still tries to move away from the canons of the genre and accepted norms of militants. And, strangely enough, at the same time to follow them, without pretending to be something clever or defiantly original. And thanks to Hawke's ambiguous commitment to his character's drama, it's hard to call 24 Hours to Live a routine product. But it could have been better.
"24 Hours to Life" can condemn you to death from boredom and you (spoiler) will be difficult to resuscitate. A man without vowels in his last name gave the film without dynamics, plot development and individuality. Brian Smrz managed to turn the endless chases and shootouts, the personal drama of the hero and a new love line into one indistinct thrust routine, from which you want to run faster than the main character, whom Ethan Hawke, under the guidance of the same Smrz (who else) depicts as flat as possible.
Screenwriters and producers also worked hard, stealing a little from “Time” Andrew Niccol, “Adrenaline” Taylor and Neveldine, all sorts of tapes about the unkillable Liam Nisson, a mix of Hong Kong militants and much more from elsewhere.
Xu Qing, known to a wide range of viewers, largely due to a fleeting appearance in the “Time Loop” (which “24 Hours to Live” also smacks of plagiarism), chose a not very successful role to present herself in all its glory. Her acting talent here is as bright as the talent of the pianist during the performance of “Dog Waltz”.
The cherry on this odorous movie pile is a collection of classic clichés and blunders, which makes the slogan of the picture “Goal: Survive” understandable. Survive here should viewers, the only reason for whose joy is that the tape is not 24 hours.

In front of us another average action movie. on the principle of the main character has a few hours to settle his filthy life and destroy at the root of all the world's evil. At its core, the film is made of a mixture of Adrenaline, Hostage and super serious John Wick. Did the creators manage to make a cool action? Let’s look at the following points:
1. Retired killer (what a surprise?) boozes on the coast with his father-in-law and is grieving for his family, when suddenly his former forgery appears from nowhere and offers a business that only he can cope with and promises a lot of money on behalf of an unscrupulous corporation whose stigma is the most disgusting gun. And to make you think our superman agrees and dies in the first half hour of the movie. That’s the end of the fairy tale... but no, the powerful corporation brought him back from the dead, as only he knows where the target will be for elimination. Well, as usual, our friend has 24 hours before he finally dies, so he decides to become a guardian angel and wipe off the face of the Earth and the corporation and friends and everything that comes to hand.
2. Despite the fact that the film is positioned as a cool reckless action movie, there is one serious problem in it - Ethan Hawke, who plays the same killer, And yes, a man with the face of a drunk geography teacher plays a superkiller. A person who has absolutely no charisma is trying his frail hands to throw enemies in packs, which as a result looks quite funny and secondary. All of the above films were based mainly on the charisma of the main characters, even Keanu Reeves is unrealistically cool in John Wick. but Hawke gives a drama in the style of a geographer globe shot and I need to fix everything pretty well, but as it comes to action here, I'm sorry better to call bulletproof baldness Statham. About the rest of the actors to say nothing except that the episodic appearance of Rutger ' Replicant' Hauer looked pretty cool, there's still gunpowder in the gunpowder. Glavgad performed by Sir Davos looked dull and painfully cardboard. The rest should not even be mentioned as it is consumable.
3. What about the dry remnant, no Hostage and Adrenaline, but a dull Gunman. In Hollywood, it seems that a new thing has gone to return old actors who are already useless to anyone to the former Olympus by sculpting militant heroes from them. With someone it really passes and they are ready to wet people until retirement and we will look at all this ugliness with great pleasure, and someone remains on the bench. I do not recommend to view fans of good action films, except to pass one evening and forget.

Super-duper-killer Travis Conrad is shamefully shot during another mission. Thanks to nanotechnology, Travis was able to return from the afterlife to our world. But, as you know, in our world there is no perfection, so even the latest developments fail. Conrad has 24 hours to live to get even with his colleague.
Despite the already worn plot and my sarcasm, there are advantages in the film. First of all, he's beautiful. It is clear that the director carefully chose every object of the situation, worked on mise-en-scene. Metal and rivets are not just a familiar touch of futurism, but a kind of tribute to fashion and aesthetics, if you can put it that way. This is a great video.
Second, the protagonist and the antagonist are given the same amount of time. Usually the latter pops out like the hell out of a snuffbox only in the final. Paradoxically, this plus made the tape predictable. The authors seem to lack a fuse, there is no intrigue.
Actors... Ethan Hawke looked organic, but showed nothing special. Sometimes he played with his face, portraying sadness.
I am very happy for Paul Anderson, who has a great role. It's a shame the role is not new.
Xu Qing was brought in to add color, but the reception is beaten.
Do not expect to see Rutger Hauer in all its glory, he was not given a place.
Total: standard modern action movie.
One of the most effective techniques in cinema in general, and in action-packed cinema in particular - deadline. The hero is wildly limited in time, because at the appointed hour something terrible will happen. And in the outgoing moments, he must have time to complete a certain mission. Otherwise it's over! You can use this method any way you want; the bomb ticks, the enemies advance rapidly, oxygen runs out, water is in a confined space, etc. And another variation offers the action movie “24 hours for life”. Travis Conrad is a superkiller who was suddenly shot during another mission. But the man did not die, but woke up in some underground hospital, where his employer explained how and why this miracle happened. It turns out that the Organization had long been developing a resurrection procedure, and now it has finally succeeded. The only problem is that the second life is short, only a day. However, the boss does not need more now: he resuscitated Travis only to ask something about the last task. “Rest in peace, soldier!” But Conrad does not agree with this scenario at all, and plans to use the last 24 hours extremely productively.
The creators of 24 Hours to Live are not original. This concept sends the viewer back to 1950, when the noir detective “Dead on Arrival” was released, where the hero was poisoned with a slow poison, and he sought his own murderer for the remaining hours of his life. In 1988, the eponymous remake with Dennis Quaid and Meg Ryan was released, and the new generation has not yet forgotten the hurricane action "Adrenaline" with Statham, which broadcast essentially the same thing. However, the idea itself does not apply to worn-out stamps, so it still works properly, creating the impression of an extraordinary movie.
It is also interesting that this is only the second film of the director with the name of one of the consonants of Smrz, made as the first for small money, but with great ambitions. The debut film “Looking for a Hero” was a de facto second-rate action movie, but looked like a stylish criminal thriller with a spectacular urination and a certain semantic load. And now a decade later, Smrz again shoots a modest budget, but beautiful movie, with a pronounced dramatic line. According to the fire-striking choreography, the creator draws inspiration from the recent “John Wick”, and on the aesthetics of action in general – from the work of John Wu, replacing pigeons with fish. The result is a real-drive spectacle where Ethan Hawke looks no less cool than Keanu Reeves. And comparing the visual, it is worth admitting that “24 hours...” is practically not inferior to the first “Wick” (except that it is cheaper, but not at times, according to the sensations). But what is inferior is in the artistic component.
Is that what the dilogy with Reeves is all about? An armor-piercing rectilinear hurricane with the most simplified dramaturgy, when the viewer is not required to imbue with high drama, but is told to dullly enjoy the enchanting spectacle. In the case of 24 Hours, the director just wants the tragedy of the Glavhero to touch us for the soul. And during the film, we suffered even more from the fact that the hero would inevitably die. Formally, the drama is clearly drawn, and Hawke plays well, but only in the final we will be given a fat pig. It seems that Smrz believed so much in the success of this creation that he originally planned, if not a franchise, then certainly a sequel. Therefore, the picture ends so that it is easy to make a sequel, only the drama is flushed down the toilet. Until the last minute it seems that this is a simple but clear story about redemption, but the final twist turns the idea into a semantic farce. And that’s sad, as you watch and admire one of the most underrated fighters of this year. And as soon as the credits go, with sadness you realize how stupid the ending turned out, with other advantages of the project. With such a finale, it was not necessary at all to town a vegetable garden with a false tragedy, but it was necessary to work in a purely entertaining manner. Therefore, throughout the 24 Hours seem smarter and more soulful than John Wick, but in the last episode, they lower themselves below the board. In the dry residue - a spectacular shooter with a brutally ditched semantic message.
A lot of films have been made about how the hero in a short time has to do something (often impossible). This film is one of the highest quality projects in this style and genre.
The story isn’t original, but it’s done very well. Here you and the drama, albeit standard and clichéd, but due to the excellent acting - catchy. We are told about an extra-class mercenary, played by a magnificent and very diverse actor from 'Gattaki', 'Society of Dead Poets' and two excellent remakes of the classics (one about police officers, the other about cowboys) - Ethan Hawk. It is worth noting that in this role he fit perfectly and played it perfectly. His charisma is amazing.
His partner in ' wet #39; plays ... oddly enough, but he is Colonel Sebastian Moran from ' Sherlock Holmes: Game of Shadows' - Paul Anderson. Plays also well and in many ways both of these characters are interesting due to the fact that they are given the same amount of time and each has a good (by the standards of the genre) story.
The antagonist is played by Liam Cunningham, for whom this role is not the first in his career. Agent 'Intrepol' played Xu Qing, lit up once in 'Time Loop'.
Well, a small but noticeable and, in some ways, soulful role went to the star 'Blade Runner', 'Blind Fury' and over 100 different films - Rutger Hauer. Seeing him on the screen is always pleasant, and in similar roles and even more so.
The mercenary is grieved over the death of his family and is given the task of eliminating the target, which is supposed to testify against ... of course against those for whom he works. But as always, things don’t go according to plan.
As for the action, ... the poster and trailer that say - ' From the producers ' John Wick' and ' John Wick 2', speak for themselves. And in this regard, everything is just great.
The chases worked out perfectly. There are more explosions than ever. And of course, the shootings... Well staged, perfectly worked out, brilliant Ethan Hawke is a bit of a substitute for Wick... What else do you need for an action movie?
For example, I don’t think that this shootout covers 85% of the film. And there is. The film unfolds like a flower at the end of May - not very quickly, gradually and in the end, beauty appears before us. So and here - the story starts logically, continues slowly and as a result, the action that leads to the finale, which by the way, is unparalleled, twists. Nothing superfluous, everything is simple, without unnecessary drama and pathos.
The music is excellent, which is also not surprising because it was written by Tyler Bates, whom I remember even from Snyder's ' Dawn of the Dead'.
Operator work and installation at the level and to complain about nothing.
The director with a strange surname SMRZ shot an impressive action drama in the style of John Wick, and in places even better. The film leaves behind only good impressions and to those few disadvantages that there is a complete reluctance to find fault. This is a great action movie to brighten up the evening and I will definitely review it.
8.5 out of 10
The second film from the little-known director Brian Smrz (and such surnames are). After a disastrous debut, the director did not shoot anything for a long time (with such a name is not surprising), and now it is time for a second chance. A new action movie and new dizzying adventures in a brutal confrontation between good and evil (one killer against another). The plot of the picture is simple to the impossible. Everything is banal and creepy secondary, but still nice to watch. This story is about a hitman who, during the next mission, dies at the hands of his victim. The killer himself works for a very influential company that has developed a drug that returns a dead person to life for 24 hours. But the plans of the big bosses are shattered, and a devoted soldier stands on the side of the weak and oppressed, wanting to protect the innocent in the name of truth and justice.
Of course, some may say that the plot is banal to the limit, but experienced moviegoers are now difficult to surprise with something, so it is better not to load your brain, but just watch without straining. The production is dynamic, the chases are watchable, the shootouts are impressive, although up to ' John Wick' this hero is definitely far away. First of all, I’m not very impressed with the hero himself, although I personally have nothing against Ethan Hawke, but in this story he is kind of weak both in soul and body against the background of the events taking place. Secondly, the villains themselves do not cause hostility, hatred and anger. No texture, no powerful effect from threatening evil. Everything looks faded and completely unconvincing. The script itself has collected many well-known clichés (CAUTION, POSSIBLE, SPOILER): the killer falls in love with his victim, the abduction of a child, which rushes to save our hero, and he suffers from the loss of his own family and wants to return to them as soon as possible to the other world - an exact repetition '.
And yet, despite all the disadvantages, as I mentioned, this movie is quite pleasant to watch, since the production itself looks beautiful, stylish and moderately impressive. In the film there are dramatic insertions of the hero's memories, his suffering. The shooting scenes were executed with special care, although with hand-to-hand combat came a complete failure. It is also worth mentioning that there will be a lot of blood in the film. She splashes, splashes and soils everything around, especially the hero himself, just like she loves ' Die Hard' In general, if you are a fan of a bright and colorful action movie for one evening, then this film is a great candidate for such a viewing. Alas, there is not a single stunning beautiful girl in the film. There is, of course, one cute Asian, but, unfortunately, you do not have blonde blondes or long-legged mesmerizing brunettes. Everything is simple, banal and, of course, spectacular!
Enjoy your visit.
Travis Conrad was never wrong. He thoroughly studied the art of murder, becoming one of the best killers of his agency. Never giving up difficult tasks, Conrad sent countless objects to the grave, but at the same time there was a place in his heart for the love of a woman and a child, which were taken from him in the most cruel way. And then Conrad himself fell victim to a conspiracy, ending his path of pain with gunshot wounds in the body.
However, the story does not end there, but only begins. Returning to life, the killer must perform another task in one day to satisfy the desires of insidious employers. The plan is calibrated to the smallest detail, Conrad is on an improvised leash and nothing should interfere with the case, but the killer himself believes otherwise. He was deceived, humiliated, deprived of the most valuable and eventually killed. You can't forgive that! And he will go to his final fight, leaving behind bloody corpses, blown up cars and fear seeping into every cell of traitors.
Ethan Hawke is not often seen in action movies, as the actor prefers to play dramatic roles that test his dramatic talent for strength. But to refuse the offer of the guys who previously shot “John Wick” he was not going to. The first thing that attracted Hawke’s work in “24 Hours for Life” is a competent script that balances equally between active action and the emotional anguish of the main character. The second is the name of the director, who has already had successful experience transforming an intelligent actor into an action star ("Looking for a Hero" with Cuba Gooding Jr.). And the third is the opportunity to take up arms again and show that his physical form has not changed since the shooting of The Magnificent Four.
However, understanding is one thing, and filming is under the guidance of skilled combat choreographers who are not able to work at full strength. "24 Hours to Live" makes Hawk experience serious loads, because the plot does not stand still, he is in constant motion. We just watched as the main character has to drive the car from the pursuers across the endless freeway, as he has to fight the whole gang. Having dealt with this task, Conrad gets involved in the next and so on until the very end. Such a task is not easy to cope with even young actors, not to mention the age Hawke, but it is safe to say that he coped with the task and showed the upper class.
In "24 hours for life" clearly visible style of action movie of the new generation. He is ruthless, but not without drama. It is realistic, although the beauty of fighting scenes and the severity of performing spectacular stunts has not been canceled. Add to this a brilliant cast led by Hawke and get a spectacle that is not inferior to John Wick. In some ways, Smrz’s tape even surpasses it, since the authors clearly gained experience and now know when to let go of a joke, and when to break someone’s face with an iron fist.

We often get frustrated because we can’t influence the past to atone for the blame, correct the mistake, and get things right. Few of us have a second chance, but if that happens, it should be used to the maximum. Sometimes even at the cost of inhuman effort. That’s what Brian Smrz’s new dramatic action movie 24 Hours to Live is about. The creators took as a basis the idea of returning a person from the dead and built on it an unstoppable action that makes you literally squeeze into a chair and with a fading heart watch as an elite killer who became a victim of a conspiracy returns to the lineup to remind everyone that jokes are bad with him.
Travis Conrad performed the most difficult, deadly tasks with maximum efficiency. Many people fell from his hands, but he did not even think about knowing who exactly he had to kill and who would grieve for the victim. And yet, one day Travis has to realize what death is. And in the most brutal way. Once in the crosshairs, the hero says goodbye to life, in order to then go back and perform another task, for which he has only 24 hours. Time begins to flow immediately after his return, so Travis has no time to reason. Only customers did not take into account one small detail: the resurrected killer is no longer going to play by their rules.
Bryan Smrz's tape is filled with chases, shootouts, hand-to-hand fights and explosions to capacity, although this is not surprising. The creators of the cool action-dilogy “John Wick” put their hand to “24 Hours for Life”. And they know exactly what revenge is and how it should be presented. The main character in the uncompromising performance of Ethan Hawke conducts a rapid revision of moral guidelines and begins to administer justice, which has waited too long for its hour. Yes, Travis Conrad is alone, but he has no choice but to extinguish the bitterness of suddenly resurfaced memories of past actions. His clock is ticking fast, his heart is beating at an insane pace, and woe to anyone who tries to stop him.
Bottom line: "24 Hours to Live" charges the full clip and shoots her nonstop from the first to the last scene. Brian Smrz took all the best of “John Wick”, seasoned it with his own ideas of the time “Wanted hero” and gave a spectacle that will definitely not make you bored. So get ready for an elegant emotional action movie that does not discern the limits of cruelty.
