The film is a real breakthrough of Russian cinema! Before "Invasion" Russian films in the genre of fiction well, did not pull either on schedule, nor on the plot, nor on special effects, take at least the film "Defenders". But Fyodor Bondarchuk's "Invasion" has just upended the Russian film industry! Now we can compete on equal terms with foreign films of such genres.
Comedies have always been incomparable, but with genres of fiction, and especially so large-scale was somehow bad. They didn't reach the foreign ones. After watching the movie "Attraction" three years ago, views changed. Of course, the first film had its own small flaws in the form of graphics, special effects and so on. In "Invasion" everything changed, all the errors were finalized, everything was smooth and graphics and special effects and sound and, of course, the image.
She's not one of you anymore. The power that grows in it can become a threat. Ra’s prediction is not correct, this “threat” is saving Moscow and all of humanity. Yes, yes, girls can do that too!
Writers and the whole team of Fyodor Bondarchuk directly from the summer describes all the modern problems of mankind: social networks, credulity and malleability of people, cruelty. "You will be disappointed." People listen only to what is said to them, the bitter truth of the modern world, uttered in one phrase by Ra. The global problem of mankind so well embodied by Fyodor Bondarchuk.
And, of course, a fantastic cast:
Oleg Menshikov as always incomparable and on top!
Alexander Petrov - it's just no words, chic and unique. Global work on the image and its implementation on screens. I am a doctor and I can no doubt say that Alexander perfectly coped with the task of a person who underwent ONMK. His character the whole movie is trying to atone for his guilt, his mistake. It is a pity that the price of this redemption was so high.
Irina Starschenbaum, bravo! Her character has grown up. From a teenage maximalist girl, she has grown to a brave, balanced person, ready to do anything for the people she cares about.
Rinal Mukhametov, thank you for such an alien.
Yuri Borisov, showed an excellent and loyal soldier of the Russian Army, first the order of the main, and then everything else: feelings, emotions, family.
Looking through all the reviews of this film, it is impossible not to be surprised why there are so many negative reviews. It's a great movie. Perhaps Ra is right and people really only listen to what they are told and are not convinced otherwise. One day I was told that all Russian-made films are just horror and you shouldn’t even watch them, you should put bad grades and keep going. I do not agree with such “smart people”. Take a look first, and then make your grades. How, without seeing and not being convinced of this, can you pour dirt on the film and its creators? I personally recommend the movie to everyone.
We left the theater disappointed and did not understand what it was.
From the positive reviews it became clear that we probably did not expect this. That is, for the blockbuster just “Attraction” was a weak film with an excess of feelings.
This film in my head didn’t work out with an annotation that promised that salvation would not be in the final battle, but in remaining human.
Of the advantages can be noted large-scale beautiful shooting. Well-played real imaginary identity theft threats. Sovereign Internet. I also liked the scenes at the university and in Google's apartment. My grandmother was particularly colorful. The wife still likes the news feed in both the first film and the second film.
Of all the heroes, only Artem and General Lebedev remained interesting. Two people who make decisions and have feelings. The rest are more of a scheme. Yulia Lebedeva, of course, showed how bad she was in the role of a rat. She's really being bullied, but her feelings aren't clear. Hariton is boring and not very logical. I learned how to joke, that's good. Fighting is also a plus. But it seems like he's lost his mind, revisiting our detectives. Google is a comic character, and could be the center of the picture. Ivan's a fool. He can fight. He can joke. He can't think or analyze. I've been hurt. But to take on faith do not understand what and not even try to check. And the whole issue of Ivan-Roma remained incomprehensible. Except for the next movie.
The logic of Ra’s artificial intelligence also remained unclear. He's not listening to Hariton. He's playing some kind of war. But people are completely stupid, except for Lebedev, no one guessed that something was wrong, this is with our rich experience of fighting fake news.
The ending was unclear. Everyone shouted so much about humanity And so it was possible to arrange a competent evacuation and a system for saving people. But it did not shoot, but fired force.
From the catchy quotes:
- It's not her fault!
- A political
=
- We both know we don't have Echelon 2.
- We both know we have Echelon 2.
In general, we liked the film - the money given for tickets is not sorry.
Positives:
The topic of information security (it was strong, interesting and really intimidating). Humor in the film (just good humor about the house and the garden, as well as bawling priests and cops). Artem's line (it seems to be the only line in the film that received a clear climax).
We can also say about decent, in our opinion, acting, chic special effects (which, however, was expected) and atmospheric music.
However, the film also has some serious shortcomings. There is an impression of inadequacy, as if all the attention of filmmakers was focused on creating a beautiful picture and a chase-shooter, and the plot and development of the characters fell by the wayside. A shrill soul story did not work out (although I repeat, the actors were selected pleasant).
First, if you skip through some other roughness of the plot in the course of the film, then the raggedness and implausibility of Ivan’s line is immediately striking. Ivan, an experienced military man, seemed to be in an information vacuum and looked like a fool in the end, there was no moment of realization, and for what purpose everything was twisted then? A drama for the sake of drama.
Secondly, the topical topics that are touched upon in the film are scattered with fragmentary theses and are not related in any way. There are promising scenes, but they also do not receive development and do not affect the plot in any way.
Thirdly, the characters have no internal conflict, it is replaced by a “tearcrusher” (quite moderate, but still) and pathos, and of course various special effects.
And finally, huge questions are caused by the finale of the film, absolutely unnatural, in which the heroine, who has spent almost the entire film in a capable state, hysterics and saves everyone.
You can watch if you consider this fantasy film an action movie and do not expect special psychological and intricate plot.
Why does every damn thing from space have to fall over and over in Washington?
There is a moment of protractedness, like a lecture by a professor at an institute. Although the authors tried to explain (as in Attraction) what digital technologies are and how dangerous they can be, how socially active people easily become tools of evil and at the same time how these same people are not capable of acting at the last decisive moment. They have a small gut, although they managed to do things.
Our viewer is not used to seeing on the big cranes of the Russian military in the role of saviors of the world, this niche was occupied in their hearts by soldiers of another country since the 90s. But why is all the battles for the planet always on the American continent?
Because when in the frame we see the work of the same ' Su' in the rows heard the sad ' yeah...', and on a very spectacular scene with the Ka52 in the city say that is not realistic... although the urban battle of the turntable like Apache is not a rare scene in American cinema and objections to them I have not heard, while the design of the Ka52 just gives this opportunity much more than the classic turntables. By the way, in the film, that would emphasize ' Russianness' in total, only Kamov helicopters of different models with a coaxial scheme are used. Only in the final frames you can see the civilian Mi8.
Also with the technique, though in Attraction the emphasis was on Tiger cars, now focused on the Lynx, which, unlike the first, is a French car.
The final denouement turned out to be large-scale and I am afraid to assume how many people would die in such conditions.
The film teaches the good that the neighbor needs to help out and extend a helping hand, pushes to the idea that mindless following trends can lead to catastrophic consequences.
Like almost all domestic cinema, where our security forces are shown on the positive side, traditionally the ratings sink even before the release of the first trailer, and then follows '. Even eminent reviewers at the top of the page on the text burned that the film they did not see.
So we take the average score and multiply by 2.
From year to year, we say that Russian cinema is not going through the best of times. He swings like the wind, twists in different directions, trying to find a stable middle of his being, to somehow please his viewer, but everything is in vain - there is always only one viewer - the one who will find exceptionally bad. Even if you are looking for something good.
“Attraction/Invasion” is not a movie of the kind described above. In the original, the bad thing is the movie itself. “Invasion” in the opening credits recalls the key events of the first part, as if reminding the viewer what to expect next – the styles of the first part. But, fortunately, the sequel is happy, and the key word here is “pleases”, because to think at least once about “Attraction” was out of the ordinary. Bondarchuk did a competent work on the mistakes made three years ago, and presented in the new year, if not a good, then a high-quality picture.
Bondarchuk of the seventeenth year showed us a bland and unideal film in which the semantic load was limited to one thought - to show the audience that love is a stronger feeling, prevailing not only between people. Attraction managed to title the idea of contact with an extraterrestrial civilization, but did not continue it. I will immediately make a reservation that “Invasion” is not a cervical vertebra – it does not continue the idea posed by the first part, which makes the sequel look not on emotions left a few years ago. If we start from “Attraction”, then we can safely say that Fyodor Bondarchuk turned out the movie that he planned to present to the public that first time. But, perhaps, his work is from the category where you should make a mistake once and make a really good movie on the second.
The Invasion studied the mistakes made by its predecessor. Now we are watching a movie, not the propaganda of Gopniks, who agitate the people to fight with aliens; a love drama, which they try to hide and show the “plot” of a new level of domestic filmmaking. Of course, the sequel is not an ideal, it is even far from the level of a good movie, but it is clear that the team led by Fedor tried. Instead of gop-walks for the body of an alien, clarifying family relations and the intolerable revolution of Gopniks, we now have professionally staged races through the streets of Moscow, action scenes with the participation of armored vehicles and exoskeletons in the center of the capital and the “Hollywood” drive ending. Our cinema would not be Russian if there was no stupid stability in it. Therefore, the sequel continues unnecessary love passions started in the original. All this, including the above scenes, looks sluggishly interesting, but without much intrigue, with a breathless and oxygen-free hood on the screen.
According to the story, the heroine of Irina Starshenbaum – Yulia Lebedeva – became a test subject in the laboratory of the Ministry of Defense of Russia, headed by her father. From this side, it should be most convenient to develop the heroine: both the writers and the actress herself, but everything comes out completely from the other side. Julia formed a clear worldview after what she saw and committed during the attack on the ship Hakan (Rinal Mahmutov) – in other words, she became a person, but Starshenbaum does not try to show it. For the most part, she either walks with a dissatisfied face and shouts at herself, then at others, or moans in pain and then sits with a touchy face.
Another thing is that Hakan, or who nicknamed himself on the planet Earth Khariton, became more like a man than a clown, whom Rinal Makhmutov played in the first part. The alien still acts as a good picture in the background, without interfering with the main characters and inserting himself into the puzzle of the picture in time so that the script continues to successfully assemble the work in parts. One of which is Artem, performed by Alexander Petrov. A fierce gopnik, who could not complete what he started, in "Invasion" is transformed and appears to the viewer a completely different person. Bondarchuk seems to show sad and depressed boys that there is a way out of a poor situation, and he is before his eyes. If in the original Artem was more than sorry for what a hero he turned out to be, then in the sequel you sometimes worry about him. Petrov well played a pathosy and hardened philosopher who thinks no worse than the best domestic sages.
The verdict. A few years ago, “Attraction” was watched with a sense of when you would leave the hall and forget what you saw on the screen. The end of "Invasion" you want not to see the more annoying and infuriating game Starschenbaum, when it is given a little more screen time. As well as the impotence of a fantasy craft, because of which the ending suffers, clearly devoid of creativity from the writers. Overall, Invasion is a good movie compared to the first one. In general, this is still a bad movie by the standards of not only Hollywood (as they like to attribute it in particular to this film), but also Russia. Bondarchuk failed to jump up in any of the formats provided, which raises the question: how many more attempts are needed to finally succeed? The viewer, of course, can endure for a long time, but if you continue to take such small steps towards the road that everyone understands, it will take not only a lot of time and money, but also opportunities. And now, as it is clear to me alone, they are quite enough to create a miracle that many have been waiting for a couple or three years.
Perhaps, that tiny plus, which is always present in any picture, here is embodied not only by the face, but also by musical rings. The soundtrack, of course, is not the level of Steve Yablonsky, but in certain moments it is more than pleasing. I want to listen, and after watching, remember what moment I played. "Attraction" could not boast of such. As for the face, Yuri Borisov is the oxygen that the film needs from time to time. The hero, whose motivation and motive was washed down the drain, was interesting up to a point. To watch the game, as well as the character, not only wanted, but also to watch was quite interesting. What a pity that all the good must be at least a little, but spoiled.
Despite the existence of a powerful school of fantastic literature in Russia, Russian cinema has not pleased us with interesting works in the genre of fiction for a very long time. We have in our repertoire mostly either unfunny unfunny comedies, or a movie about the bitter, like Russian vodka, truth of life. In fact, nothing else from the Russian cinema and expect.
It was a great surprise to watch “Invasion.” The name, by the way, to my taste is too pathetic, too general and poorly reflects the essence of what is happening. "Attraction 2" might have been nicer.
The first thing that pleases me is strong, high-quality action. The action does not sag, constantly keeps attention on the picture, the movie is interesting to watch. You can put a five for one.
The picture is bright, the special effects are made very decently and will appeal even to the viewer, spoiled by Marvel films. Underwater surveys, high-quality computer graphics, helicopters over the Moscow River, water walls. Everything is very beautiful and colorful. The film is aesthetically pleasing.
Separately glad that for some time turned, not New York, and Moscow. You can finally feel yourself in the center of attention of extraterrestrial civilizations.
It was interesting to see the actor Alexander Petrov in a slightly different role than his standard lover hero. The experiment turned out to be successful, even in such a persona he looked authentic and believe in his character. Of course, it was not without a piano in the bushes, but for the development of the character I respect him.
For all the fabulous plot, after the film there was a desire to reflect on high technology based on water. A good, unbeatable theme for film fiction.
And, of course, an important topic is the vulnerability of the modern information world, in which it is so easy to manipulate this very information now, where there are no clear guidelines, where it is unclear who and what to believe, where everything can be tweaked, forged and replaced. The evil joke is not of the future, but of the present.
As for the love line of the main characters, for me it is an unambiguous fairy tale, like “Cinderella” or “Scarlet Flower”. It's a plot, but it looks like an axiom in mathematics, just a given that requires no proof. By the way, in the film, the love line is stated, but not played, I did not feel a special “chemistry” between the characters. But that's what I'm doing.
Overall, it was a very good blockbuster. I was very happy and never regretted that I got out from the New Year’s table to the cinema.
Personally, I went to Invasion precisely because after Attraction I had a pleasant sense of satisfaction from what I saw. On the other hand, I did not leave the fear that the second part will ruin everything, as it usually happens.
Even though the special effects are not the main thing for me in the film, it was hard not to notice their quality. You can see that the filmmakers tried and spent a lot. And most importantly, I have never been distracted from the narrative by the thought that “this is somehow not naturalistic!”
Already beloved heroes became more interesting and deeper. We see before us no longer a naive schoolgirl who constantly tries to annoy her father or single-handedly take revenge on all aliens at once, but a loving daughter, loyal to her beloved girl and a strong man ready to give his life for his planet. Haakon, as in the first part, is beautiful with his naivety and sincerity. What is his statement about the availability of work, home and garden? But now he made the final choice in favor of his beloved and is ready to fight for this choice. A little unusual image of Sasha Petrov. This unfortunate stuttering angry Artem evokes fear, disgust and sympathy at the same time. Although I am sure that Petrov was especially pleased to play such an antihero. And looking at Menshikov, I constantly caught myself thinking that despite his age, he is still very interesting in any role. He was in no way lost against his younger colleagues. The one who really surprised me was Yura Borisov. If in life he looks more like his character from the movie “The Bull”, then here he is a military to the bone, who despite everything does his duty. At one point I thought it was a key character that drew all the attention.
What I really didn't like was the loss of the love line. Maybe for the men who came to the theater for this movie, less pink snot is a plus, but for me it’s a fat minus. If there is no love, then why all these movements?
But despite this moment, I left the cinema in high spirits. I was again shown a good picture, I met with my favorite characters, believed that everything will be fine. And at the same time, I once again wondered what power and power modern technology has over us, how blindly we used to trust it, and how dangerous it really is. And although I can hardly ever blindly trust the military and Komsomolskaya Pravda, I don’t trust mobile phones either.
Bondarchuk is consistent and stubborn in his desire to form a tradition of “Russian fantastic blockbuster”. Ingredients, in general, are correct - clear conflicts, easily readable oppositions, simple morality, recognizable locations and faces, expensive graphics, composer Igor Vdovin.
And, of course, fantasy. The word "universe" flashed in some reviews is perhaps appropriate here. The creators managed to come up with a unique concept of the interaction of fiction and reality, in which the “alien” element is necessary to expose the “human” problems. To outstanding in this direction samples of recent years ( "Arrival", "Gravity"), Bondarchuk's tape, of course, does not reach - well, so this is a New Year's blockbuster, not a classic sci-fi. But the attempt to cross a horse and a trembling deer - again counts.
There are shortcomings. The main problem (actually, and with "Attraction" was the same problem) - trying to say everything at once. This again led to the fact that the scheme of relations between the main characters is reconstructed suddenly, and the motivations are not fully justified. Details of the classical scheme “hero – associate – antagonist – object” cannot be changed “in the course of the case”, purely for the sake of justifying plot twists. I'm so vague about not spoiling it. Some plot-forming things were said in vain “on the run”, and individual scenes could, on the contrary, be reduced without damage.
But these are small things.
What is definitely good is the final collapse, sweeping and unexpected, episodes with a cameo Konstantin Bogomolov and a recognizable inimitable saying Victor Shamirov, as always witty in its candor, product placement, Alexander Petrov and Oleg Menshikov, who finally have something to play here - and they cope with this brilliantly.
You have to watch. But without special expectations - emotions are guaranteed, catharsis is optional.
Well, you see the score on the Movie Search. And believe me, it reflects the whole movie. If the past was “twisted”, “minused”, etc., then now you have a fairly objective score. Let me explain why.
So what changes have you made? First, a melodramatic line went under the knife. To be more precise, it no longer takes up so much space and is not so intrusive. The love line works on the plot, being the cause of conflict. And due to the increased stakes, it looks appropriate, although there are problems with this (mostly due to the previous film).
Secondly, the idea that aliens will invade us using our own technology for a large-scale game of Broken Phone is quite original, I do not recall this.
When it comes to other things... Let’s start with the good – the visual pulls. The film gives what is expected of him - instead of an incomprehensible and confused social statement, a sci-fi action. Graphon is sometimes noticeable, but this happens quite rarely. Actors... They are not annoying, but they do nothing outstanding. The installation was tense, in some moments I would like to consider the battle scene from different angles, but the film immediately said: No! Next scene! So the picture sometimes seems ragged.
As for the plot - all the sores of the film got from the original. It seems that the characters behave normally, as they should in similar situations, but only remembering their actions in the previous picture, the desire to empathize disappears completely. To empathize with Yulia and condemn Artem, when the last bastard who left a loved one because of ovotoxycosis (an analogue of spermotoxicosis) was the first? Fire me. In general, the plot follows a clichéd road - the Special is hunted, it is protected, during the hunt the stakes increase (in this case - to a local flood), the culmination. Not much nonsense, but they are serious. So, one of the secondary heroes (military, assigned to Yulia) comes into conflict with Julia because of the actions of aliens. But according to the logic of the movie, I shouldn’t have done that. Why? I don't understand. And this line, by the way, plays a big role in the end. The ending was also embarrassing. If there are no spoilers, it is described by the question: “From where is B***?”
Overall, this film is better than its predecessor. He's more focused, spectacular... But don't think he's good. It's just a passerby, you can go if you don't have much. I went, watched, got a bit of fun, came out of the movie, forgot.
5 out of 10
“Invasion” by Fyodor Bondarchuk ("Stalingrad, “9 Company”), released on the big screens on the first day of the new 2020, takes into account many of the shortcomings of “Attraction” and appears before the audience as a disaster film, where state ideology, human destinies are skillfully intertwined at the moment when the Earth is once again on the brink of disaster, and the megalomaniac nuances of the germinism of the main character. The authors of the screen story, who worked on the first part, screenwriters Oleg Malovichko (" Union of Salvation, Ice) and Andrei Zolotarev ("Billion, How I Became Russian), make the main bet on demonstrating how network technologies, the Internet and the media get out of control and begin to promote a story with a powerful flywheel, where not the last place is occupied by a statement about the role of fake news and their danger to the psyche in the life of every modern person. The new Bondarchuk tape no longer seeks to look back at Hollywood and in the Procrustean bed of blockbuster schemes puts much more meaning than you can imagine before watching. Indeed, was it possible to expect a postmodernly reformatted alien from the Invasion, which adjusts to a minimum degree of trust in the representative of artificial intelligence, which appeared from the depths of space, and shows that in a humanoid shell one can enclose someone who will become a savior for an entire civilization. For Bondarchuk it is much more important to show that not always the latest weapons and technologies can win over the supernatural, on the contrary, the changes that occur for a limited time in this tape make it possible to believe that a young girl can stop the collapse in the Moscow metropolis. Science fiction, sci-fi, in the project is not so much and it does not always benefit him, the limitation of flights of thought is masked by very good special effects, giving the tape the necessary component of entertainment, the pressure on the melodramatism of the screen arches of characters and the very sentimentality that makes you worry for those who stand on the roofs of Stalin’s skyscrapers in Moscow, when two water layers are about to close, from the helpless earth and from the protocol-predatory attacking skies. Therefore, “Invasion” deserves attention primarily due to the well-made tense plot of the film, which is not shy of the kiloton budget invested in it, and civilizational meanings and difficult choices for the sake of harmony and saving the world are the very background that makes you think after watching.
Most of the on-screen characters of “Invasion”, the action of which unfolds in 2019, Bondarchuk automatically moved to a new project from “Attraction” and will be familiar to the audience of the sequel, for everyone else at the beginning of the picture, a three-dimensional visual series illustrating the events of the previous project is given. As an exhibition, a Finnish fishing schooner is offered, from which skeptical fishermen observe capsules in the sea from the upper atmosphere. A couple of years after the events of “Attraction” Julia Lebedeva (Irina Starshenbaum, the series “Teachers”, “Summer”) managed to enter Moscow University together with her friend-zone friend Google (Eugene Mikheev, “Sensor”, “Donbass. Okrug”). The character of Starshenbaum, who previously received special abilities in handling water bodies, is closely monitored by the special services, together with his father-General Valentin Lebedev (Oleg Menshikov, Gogol). Terrible revenge, Legend N17, the girl is forced to almost constantly go to a special closed institute of the Ministry of Defense, where her alien activities are thoroughly studied by special scientists of the forehead. Such close attention and round-the-clock guardianship irritate Yulia and lead to a riot, the catalyst for these events is her old friend Artem (Alexander Petrov, “Text”, “Hero”), who turned from a Chernovsky gopnik into a young man overcome by a stroke, something between a political prisoner and a person covered by the witness protection program. Further, in one of the Moscow bars, the heroine Starshenbaum tries to rise up from depression due to the continuous absorption of alcohol at the counter, she wants to forget at least for an evening, but recognizes in one of the visitors Ivan (Yuri Borisov, “Outpost”, “Bull”), a captain from the army center, assigned to monitor her by General Lebedev. In the same bar, Julia meets the same alien Khariton (Rinal Mukhametov, “Battle”, “Without me”), for which she is so nostalgic, after a clash with an alien with Ivan, the couple manages to escape, and the girl learns not the most joyful galactic news. Near the Earth is a huge interplanetary ship Ra, which has its own neural network and is able to make the most intelligent decisions artificial intelligence. For the abduction and subsequent destruction of Yulia, the aliens have not only machine intelligence, but also the ability to produce a massive information attack against earthlings living in Russia, and create panic among the residents of Moscow for their base purpose.
So, I paint everything as it is, but relying only on the second part, since the first one was not watched. I may be back, but I don’t know yet.
The beginning helps to remember the events of two years ago, for which I thank you for refreshing the memory of the audience, and, secondly, I, as not watching the first part, got acquainted with what was happening at that time. On the other hand, the fact that life has changed in the other direction, and at the same time, the very essence of the main character has changed – somewhat stressful and a little annoying at the same time. You can and it is important to understand that this element is important from the point of view of the promotion of the plot, but Julia in this part appeared to me as a girl who is angry and everything is so enough that she is ready to explode in one moment and all, the apocalypse of the world will take place. Don’t forget to click your fingers!
Valentin Lebedev appears as a daddy who takes care of his daughter too much and for what? Trials and all this trouble is known to a small circle of people - the father, his entourage, Julia herself, Artem and very little, but Google is a classmate of Julia. If everything went as usual, and until then no one did anything wrong, then why represent the guard and give them orders to follow the lieutenant's daughter everywhere? We could put them after the whole stupid mess with the information glitch began, but, no, from the very beginning we are shown that Julia is a stone in the crown, which if they steal, then we must abandon everything and everyone and run to look for him!
There were positive aspects – despite the fact that Chariton repeated about the house, work and garden, it kind of cornucopia, but at the same time it causes a smile, because the joke is quite pleasant. And the full address, you can laugh for a long time.
The only person I felt sorry for was Artyom, who was stuttering at the time of the second part, but he is the only character who wants to be compassionate. And if in the first part he experienced a hostile attitude to Hariton, then at the time of the second he tries to adhere to neutrality, thanks to which both young people save the main character, but thereby the ex-boyfriend dies from a gunshot wound.
The plot is banal, some visual effects have reached an average score - kind of exciting, but at the same time you do not take a soul from this film, and your heart does not go to the heels. From which the main culmination of events seemed empty and ordinary. Thus, summing up, I can say the following: the film is average, but watching several times guarantees. But, as I mentioned at the beginning, I didn’t watch the first part, so I can’t judge accurately and completely.
Thank you all for listening.
"Invasion" is a classic example of history when the second part was worse than the first. To shoot sequels is always difficult, because the comparison with the original will not be in favor of the new film. For the most part, all sorts of sequels are simply sucked out of the finger, and extremely rarely they are really needed. Subzh in this case is exactly in the category “it would be possible to do and do”.
The most important and obvious problem of the project lies in the absence of a sane plot. Basically, he's gone. There is only a faint narrative line, very slender and flat. “Attraction” had an interesting high-concept, social overtones, live and normal characters. Logically finished story, man. What is it? Nothing. There is an overzealous girl with an inflated ego, but not a murdered alien with constantly clean clothes, between whom they very much want to tie chemistry, but it does not work. The director in all interviews states that we shot a “romantic sci-fi”; however, this was exactly “Attraction”, here a natural set of episodes, an almanac, poorly connected by a common theme “How else can you destroy Moscow?”
Because of the ragged script, the heroes were torn. The only Persian who passed the sane path of development was Artem. His story is catchy, and I really want him to be the main character, and not a blown girl with a stone face who passed all two hours.
Another nitpicking corner: ours still don't know how to do product placement and bed scenes. These moments are still going bad.
If with the plot component of the “Invasion” everything is bad, then with the technical reverse – everything is chic. The project is complex and large-scale, the film crew worked perfectly, and it shows. Excellent cameraman and visual, for some time in our film brought well-made and aligned sound (this is very, very rare). The eye has something to look at, the ears have something to listen to.
And in the final version, we have a beautiful two-hour screensaver, without logic, without plot. Like our modern clips, ragged, stylish, but what, about what - you understand. One of the leitmotifs of the story was the power and creativity of water — maybe it’s a manifesto like “save the planet together?” Don't know. Two years ago, it was clear what we were fighting for.
For the first time I write a review here with the sole purpose of standing up for Bondarchuk and Ko. I don't worship Roskino once, I'm sorry, domestic cinema. But once again, our filmmakers are pleasantly surprised. High-quality crafts are given directly to the mountain. This is the series Epidemic, which will not be ashamed to stand in the same row with the top masterpieces on the theme of the zombie apoclypse, this is a full meter Ninth, where you can see the ears of the incomparable View, but in general very even!
When I went to Invasion, I did not expect anything, because the close in spirit Outpost turned out to be a soulless dummy, a story that, if anyone does not know, was borrowed from the Orion folder, which has been walking on the network for a good decade. Hello to conspiracy theorists. Well... it’s amazing, for me personally, but throughout the entire viewing of Invasion, I never experienced that very Spanish shame. Yeah, yeah. I'm shocked. I don’t know what happened there, whether the criticism of Eugen so influenced, or any other alien forces, but on the way out we got a strong 4. Even Petrov jumping out of each iron showed himself, as it were, from the other side. It was a bit funny when two more Petrovs (trailers), one footballer and the other hockey player were shown before the session, which did not play in his favor of my perception. Menshikov was also pleased that you can not say about Glavheroes, in my opinion they were fresh.
The visual series is flat, without significant failures, which the same Outpost sinned with, where it was felt that entire pieces of timekeeping were cut out. Graphics level, the operator did not convulse in action scenes. There is even humor, but it is not certain. You will not believe, but even the product placement as if in the topic and the eye does not cut.
In general, the “vinegret” turned out to be balanced and tasty. The money and time spent was not a pity. Bondarchuk is good, shake hands!
P.S. Maybe hydraponics is so affected, who knows?

They say that every next girl is worse than your ex, and every sequel is worse than the first movie. It is rumored that Russian cinema is long dead, but from the grave sometimes hear the voices of the dead like "Holopa" or "Stalingrad", who are struggling for the life of our cinema in various genres. From above they throw the gravedigger, like "Viking" and his friend "Defenders", but the struggle for life continues. Everyone shouts from all corners that anyone who praises Bondarchuk's movies is his paid bot or wants to "hypane." That's how we live.
Being a breakthrough product for the Russian film industry, "Attraction" was neutrally evaluated by viewers and to a greater extent negatively by critics. It is understandable to water the domestic stylishly, fashionably, youthfully, let you shoot a picture with a budget of 6 million euros with special effects for 20 minimum, invited a top foreign specialist in sound, showed the strength and style of our army, and in general created the first suitable Russian fantastic blockbuster. Be that as it may, "Attraction" paid off and brought the creator three times the profit, which means that shooting the continuation was a matter of time.
For two years, almost the same team worked to ensure that the new girl wiped the nose of the ex, and the neighbors were jealous. Created an image, honed style and manners, wrote a new story for the young lady until she came out to people right from the New Year feast on January 1.
She runs, sparkling with beautiful legs on the first pilgrimage, and with her next to the good guys from the casket - everything is like a selection. The most remote of them is Vanka, performed by Yuri Borisov. This good man honors the orders and father of the girl more than his family. But that's not it now. And somewhere there lurked alien lover Khariton, while her former Artem conspired to rehabilitate the soul. Two years after the attack of space guests, the Russian army has become even stronger, equipped with the latest technology, like the star fleet of the emperor Palpatine, due to alien technologies obtained in 2017 and is ready, with the tacit support of China and the United States, to break the supostat in case of anything. But... as is usually the case, the furry animal crept up unnoticed. Such a big, cunning, provocations are muddying, the people are intoxicating and want our virgin to lime.
Kharitosha sparklingly jokes about the garden and the constellation of Virgo, Artem stutters, the virgin shows female whims. Everything is pathetic flying, swimming, shooting and banging. The social services of Moscow look like the social services of the richest, disciplined and strongest country in the world at the end of the Aquarius era. The final minutes on the epic moment and pictures so generally give odds to some creations of the “hateful” American film industry.
Rinale Mukhametov looks no worse than himself than the sample of 2017, Menshikov is great in any role, Petrov played one of his most interesting images, Garmash tries to show that there is still gunpowder in the powderboxes not only for his native Post Bank, and Starshenbaum tries to portray a female psychological drama.
And now, it would seem, we have a new girl, more beautiful than the former, in style and pathos, that everyone clinks with tongues. But boring with her, boring after bright moments of pleasure, and even born treacherous thought that... that once she is stupid as a cork.
It is not clear what, for what, why and how. And like the apogee of all the chaos, the main character is given the choice: “A girl or his entire civilization?”
Those who expect from Invasion a cool plot, a coherent narrative and a smart movie will be disappointed. Those who are waiting for the New Year holidays of emotions, heat, passions and bahbabahs of the domestic spill will be normal.
Yes, the sequel "Invasion" is a movie with a very stupid, primitive plot. But in contrast to this movie with chic visuals and sound effects, which worked on a talented team. We all know that in Hollywood in recent years riveting frankly delusional in the plot and integrity of the narrative films. Movies with a lot of logical errors, leaving at the expense of American pathos, music, entourage and special effects. People used to consume film entertainment, movie gum. Chewed, tasted high and spit out. That's the kind of movie. With a similar ending to American films, with the main character, who gathered around three men, each of whom has a huge range of feelings for her. With the national Russian pathos (American is tired, isn’t it), and the army, so powerful and stylish that I want to say “no worse than the Americans in the movie shows the power of the army.”
Personally, I forgive this creation many shoals of the plot, and even advertising the brand "Army of Russia", realizing that this is a movie clip, a movie entertainment in New Year's January. A movie that makes us dream a little about the power and status of our nation. Two years ago, I called my review of "Attraction" Fedor Bondarchuk- "Rehabilitation of Russian cinema. "
The second part "Invasion" is "Paphos of Russian cinema".
What can be said for sure - this film is on the head above ' Attraction'. The picture deserves to be seen in the movies. The actors’ stupidity was removed.
First of all, I want to note the excellent camera work. I really enjoyed the picture I was shown. The scenes are great. In this regard, the film is completely competitive with Western cinema. There are no cardboard scenes like the first one.
The graphics are fine too, surprisingly good. It is a pity that it is shown there for the sake of graphics, but about this later.
For some reason, all filmmakers forget that half of the movie's success is in its script. Everything starts well first. The indistinct messages of the first film are erased with really interesting things. Everything develops logically and even unexpectedly. The core of the plot is defined, the flywheels are set and you begin to enjoy the film. But then, apparently, the script was eaten by a dog who was on the set and the authors demolished the tower with graphene. The second half of the movie you sit and watch - why?!
You had an idea, you developed it, then you took a sharp turn and you developed another idea, completely forgetting the old one. This is a Bondarchuk gun, planetary scale. Why couldn't you press the first idea? Everything was there, even in the world release. What happened, why was there a turn to the other side? Why was it necessary to sharpen the hairpin of the film floor, then put it on the table and take a bazooka?
No questions about actors. Irina Starshenbaum - although she is the main character, but she does not have much screen time. Her eyes don't cut. Just like Muhammedov and everyone else. Petrov, as always, played Petrov perfectly (Yes, he can’t play other characters, but he plays himself perfectly, no jokes).
In the end, a good movie could be made. It's global. But the movie failed the script. No graphene, no team of actors, can pull a picture unless it has a coherent script. The eye is pleased that a lot of work has been done on the mistakes, but the main one - the backbone of the script - has not been corrected. I hope that in the next part or alternative project, this mistake will be corrected. The script is half the key to the success of the film.
On the agenda is the continuation of the blockbuster “Attraction” F. S. Bondarchuk – “Invasion”. The film begins with a recap, somewhat drawn-out, but having an interesting visual embodiment. The story takes us several years ahead of the events of the previous part. The main character - Yulia Lebedeva - experiences emotional devastation: she becomes the object of laboratory research at military bases and is under round-the-clock surveillance. Both in the trailer and in the film, we are regularly told about the potential danger of Yulia’s forces, but we have never been shown how these abilities can harm Earthlings or even aliens. And speaking in general about the dramaturgy, which in the first part was far from the strongest element, in Invasion it became even worse. The number of plot holes has increased, and the actions of some characters are at odds with the laws of logic. To replace the antixenophobic theme of “Attraction” we appeared a variation on the problem of the trolley, which, sadly, was not disclosed at all.
I must warn people whose knowledge of the exact and natural sciences is at least at a good basic level that the authors of this tape did not care much about creating believable fiction, because some speeches can cut the ear.
As for the characters and actors, everything is ambiguous. Most of the actor I like: Oleg Menshikov, in the role of Colonel Lebedev, Sergey Garmash, in the role of Deputy Prime Minister, Evgeny Mikheev, in the role of Google, perfectly play interesting characters. Both the spelling of the main character and the play of Irina Starshenbaum are at the proper level. But the problems begin with Rinal Mukhametov. His character, Hacon, is often more like a cloud-based personal assistant or navigator. He speaks with a very small emotional spectrum. Obviously, this was done to emphasize his belonging to an extraterrestrial civilization, but I believe that this decision is not quite successful, since it does not allow the actor to reveal his talent. Completely failed was the hero of Yuri Borisov - Ivan - whose actions just go against logic, and attempts of emotional play are not successful.
But otherwise, we can see some growth compared to the previous part. There is a noticeable leap in the use of computer graphics, and therefore in the film we see special effects that are almost on a par with Hollywood “brothers in the genre”. Many landscapes, both natural and urban, are fascinating. It is worth noting the professional camera work of Vladislav Opelyanets. Action scenes are usually dynamic and capable of captivating the average viewer.
As a result, we get a film without the slightest artistic value, but which is albeit a small, but still an achievement in the field of domestic blockbuster, which is accompanied by an increasingly focused Fyodor Bondarchuk on the Hollywood standard.
Despite all the shortcomings of the first part of Fyodor Bondarchuk’s dilogy, I always thought that it was somewhat underestimated. Yes, it was stupid, illogical, full of patterns, cardboard characters and plot blunders, but still working movie. Watching it, personally, I did not come up with fifty questions every second, the characters did not cause disgust, and in the end there was a feeling of completeness, since most of the questions were answered. Everything is wrong here.
Fabula. The aliens, or rather the artificial intelligence they made, decided to kill a girl whose name I did not remember for two parts. It is potentially dangerous to humans as it can control water and disrupt the balance of life on earth. To accomplish this goal, they decide to start controlling people by shuffling our electronic signals. That is, they are able to change every message, every video, every sound that we send to each other over the Internet, television or radio. It's quite interesting. Our reliance on social media and social media has long been one element that should be reflexive. But here this topic is not only not disclosed, so near the end it is completely forgotten, the pilots on the plane communicate with each other on the radio, the dudes from the rostelekom somehow turn off the satellite in orbit. It's very strange. And the most important thing is that we are being told with a white thread that we need to trust only proven, state-owned sources of information, and on the Internet your browsers, controlled from the outside, which they will not write. But even if you forget all of this, and it's hard to forget, we still have a lot of questions that come up at every second, like why an artificial intelligence wouldn't just send a robot from the first one to kill it quietly so that no one would have any questions. In short, the story is very bad.
Moral. The classic trolley dilemma. Can we sacrifice one life to save tens or hundreds? The question is complex, but interesting. No one dares to reveal it in detail in this film, we are simply told that it is necessary to save the girl because it is necessary. None of the high-ranking generals has even the thought of asking about it. But towards the end, the number of possible victims of all this seems to be approaching hundreds or even thousands. And that's considering the heroine doesn't do anything to make us feel for her. For her, it is decided either by her father, or a reptilian guy, or a guy-Petrov, or a hacker guy. The girl does not want to sympathize at all, and the point is not in the acting game, but in what position the writers put her. Towards the end, I wanted to kill her myself, because she was so annoying in the whole situation. But in the dilemma of the trolley, I was always for non-interference in matters of life and death, I think it says something.
Over. Very bad movie. Of course, you can write about the fact that the graphics are really decent, the acting work within the given circumstances is not bad, although it is completely leveled by the pathos of phrases and the absurdity of what is happening, the production did not pump up, albeit with an overabundance of sloumo and all the same pathos. But none of this can beat such a bad story. Any movie is a statement, here it is a statement indistinct, but loud, similar to the incoherent horn of a schizophrenic who is trying to decorate with beautiful music.

For the efforts of 3D graphics specialists, I hope someday you will be given the best opportunity to show your talent.
Spectacular, hard and dark sequel to “Attractions”. There was a movie for girls. Now the boys are invited to the screen.
About "Invasion" has already spoken authoritative and not very critics, so much new here can not add. Visually, the sequel to Attraction really left the original far behind. It is difficult not to love the movie with your eyes. First of all, thanks to the stylish picture of the cameraman Vladislav Opelyanets and the sweeping graphics of Arman Yahin, whose studio painted special effects for probably half of Russian blockbusters. The actors are beautiful again. Fyodor Bondarchuk still has taste in this regard. But the best thing he did for the sequel with his team was to significantly increase the geography of the film and the number of people involved in the conflict. The consequences of contact with aliens in the “Invasion” is much more serious than in the “Gravity”, and the epicenter of the problems becomes the whole of Moscow, not a single area of the city. And here on this square Bondarchuk turned around for all the money. You can't blame him.
Not everything is in order with the project only with the script (Anton Dolin said this most clearly). But here the situation is not as bad as in “Attraction”, and in general, if you analyze the dramaturgy of “Transformers”, “Battle of Los Angeles” or any disaster film by Roland Emmerich, then there will be no stone left. So there's nothing to whine about, refer to Badcomedian, or expect a command from him. Just go and watch. It's a normal movie!
The Intergalactic Alliance of Censorship. Review of the film "Invasion"
It is possible to treat differently the “Attraction” of Fyodor Bondarchuk, released three years ago. This film managed to disassemble quotes on the Internet, ridicule and scold. Somewhere it was deserved, and somewhere – not quite. Fyodor Bondarchuk has already developed his own personal ceiling for the quality of his paintings. And “Attraction” was the best indicator of this: excellent camera work, the highest level of visual effects among all Russian competitors, moderately sane directing, poor script, meager acting work and disgusting editing – all this migrated into a sequel under the original title “Invasion”.
There is only one important difference between the sequel and the first film - its ideological component. "Attraction", for all its jambs and pluses, no matter how twisted, in the bowels of the script concealed a human message that hostility to something unfamiliar or a foreign Russian person is bad. Yes, the film managed to bury the fight against xenophobia under tons of pathos, wagons of the stupidest moments and second-rate plot moves. In the sequel, the authors decided not to repeat themselves, turning the basic morality of the film into a slightly different channel, more like an appeal to censorship than an adequate reasoning about the problems and dangers of the digital age.
That’s just the path in which the authors directed the story, upsets much more than the quality of the entire tape as a whole. "Invasion" in the first minutes crosses out everything that was in the previous film. All the central characters who died comically at the end of the first picture are resurrected, and the love triangle around the heroine Irina Starschenbaum again acts as the main motivator for moving the plot forward. The only thing on which the whole scenario stands tightly is the demonstration of the world, which a few years ago already managed to encounter guests from outer space. Conventionalities in this much more than the logical development of the series, but as a seed for future action - quite.
The film almost immediately turns into one huge walk through the iconic and touristic places of Moscow. The Kremlin, Gorky Park, which has become prettier under Sobyanin, does not give rest to Russian filmmakers Moscow City - all this is in place and does not particularly irritate the eye with its obscenity. Stresses, introduces into a stupor, and often simply encourages the viewer to close his eyes - advertising and a huge number of branded things and technologies, an abundance of which can give light even "Trees". And well, crudely sewn into the script “Classmates” and “Vkontakte” appeared from time to time in the film, this could be reconciled. But no, here and there looms products of the “Army of Russia”, tired of everyone and everything else on YouTube advertising World of Tanks.
And as for the main antagonist, in the sequel, unlike the first film, the main evil is not human intolerance to another person, but artificial intelligence of a cosmic scale. In the manner of Skynet or Ultron from the Avengers, an angry and insensitive computer calculates all the pros and cons, begins to manipulate humanity through the media, social networks and phones, seeing in man the main threat to the universe. The film casts the rod for the most powerful potential, showing how it is with the help of modern technology can control all of humanity. In some ways, this is similar to the Terminator, except that instead of nuclear annihilation, the computer begins to play with human emotions through smartphones.
That’s just “Invasion” does not care about all this potential, because the film is not particularly hiding, begins to show its true face, reminding that he once criticized “Attraction”. The plot rudely shouts that if you need to trust someone, it is only “Komsomolskaya Pravda”, and it is desirable to use Soviet cable phones for communication, and not all these unreliable and capitalist Apple devices. In fact, closer to the finale, the film clearly comes to the fact that the main salvation for the whole of Russia is censorship. And censorship in this regard is subject to all non-domestic production or capable of at least somehow harm or put in a bad light the homeland.
Given how many candidates have recently been associated with similar in domestic cinema, we can say that the authors of “Invasion” got to the point. Appearing in Russian cinemas almost simultaneously with the “Union of Salvation”, which directly through the prism of the story of the Decembrist uprising urged young people to listen only to the authorities and in no case to take part in rallies, exposing the people as a stupid rabble, “Invasion” does something similar, but less insulting language. The film does not seek to offend anyone, but rather takes the most advantageous position for itself, so as not to become another victim of censorship, promoting this very censorship.
As, for example, in 2019, the excellent series “Epidemic” from TNT PREMIER managed to suffer, the fifth series of which the service management had to remove and, as a result, postpone the release of the rest until February 2020. The reason for this decision is obvious to everyone. In the remote series, the following events were shown: the Russian military, under the pretext of gathering citizens in the quarantine zone, arrange mass shootings of the latter. Whether it is sick or healthy, the authorities are fighting the virus with drastic methods. Resist the faceless military simple people, that is, the main characters. Naturally, since such a plot does not suit anyone, then the Russian viewer should not watch this.
Because of all this, the Invasion leaves behind a feeling of emptiness. The technical side of the project, as always happens with Fyodor Bondarchuk, is at the highest level. The only exception will be the disgusting, as always happens with Fyodor Bondarchuk, installation. Otherwise, at least for the effect of flooded Moscow, whose foundation gradually begins to collapse under tons of water, the authors should say a huge thank you – it looks impressive. The camera work is also at the highest level, but the pale cold shades of blue with the flirting of warm and cold light may seem to some a monotonous spectacle.
That is why the film looks fresh, monotonous and simply boring. Although he tries to laugh at himself, in self-irony "Invasion" plays as badly as the call of the people to be silent and listen only to serious uncles on TV. It could have been really good. It is so bad that it is even good... But not this time.
No, country, I'm shocked. You can imagine, Bondarchuk and the company did work on the mistakes. And the Invasion is no longer a shameful incredibly stupid movie, but you can even watch it! A little more impressions without spoilers to the plot will be lower.
Abstract: The fall of an alien object divided lives into “before” and “after”. An ordinary girl from Moscow Chertanov - Yulia Lebedeva - is forced to accept the role of a guinea pig in the laboratory, because she was the only one in contact with the alien. Scientists and military are atomizing her feelings, emotions and experiences, trying to unravel the nature of her growing power. But the most terrible thing is that her supernatural abilities are not only concerned with earthlings. The planet is literally under threat of invasion. And there is only one way to win in the coming clash: to find the strength to remain human. When everyone for the sake of common salvation must make a choice on which the life and fate of millions depends, can love, loyalty and mercy become stronger than ruthless force and alien technologies?
Here is a month earlier in the rental came out, and unfortunately not very successful, the film Outpost. I mean, the movie itself, except for the half-hour intro at the beginning, is really good, interesting and fun. Action wow, script hood, plot ok, ending - well, also permissible. Against the background of helpless Attraction, the Outpost looked just 3 heads higher. Here you almost no snot, very stupid laustories and "We are stupid butts from Chertanovo", on the contrary, such a high class of military action. But the audience did not believe in the film, and the fees were sad. Although I recommend it at home, you will be surprised.
And now for the New Year holidays comes Attraction-2, it is the Invasion. Honestly, I went to the film only for the sake of clearing my conscience, because you also need to watch a bad movie in order to better appreciate the good, there was something to compare with. For a more sad and stupid script than in Attraction, I do not immediately remember in science fiction films (well, all Defenders do not count, seriously, although films are about the same level).
Here's the situation. Takes, then, Fedor Sergeyevich, and does work on the errors of Attraction in his sequel! According to Kinopoisk, Olga Larionova is lost in the team of writers and, I dare suggest, with her, the incredibly stupid and helpless laustoria of characters is lost. In the Invasion, she remains, but only against the background of the plot, in the background. No more this highly spiritual bullsheet that looks incredibly stupid in the movies. The exhausted Chertanovo leaves the narrative, only it made a small cameo at the beginning of the film, the same courtyard where, for example, the Box was filmed, and was forgotten as a terrible dream. And the Gopniks are gone. And even as an apology for the first part there is a story about the dangers of smoking (which was actively promoted in the first film in the open). Just sitting now, assessing how many stupidities of the film Attraction was heard by Bondarchuk, consciously and corrected that do not even believe that all this is possible in fact, it seems that just coincidences.
What's next for the Invasion? And suddenly quite strong, although not without its shoals, fantastic action about the invasion of aliens. Well, not Independence Day 1 part, of course, but something very watchable. You can see that the writers of their script before shooting at least 1 time re-read. There are no more these incredible holes, or rather, huge chasms, in the plot. It's all pretty well tailored. Dynamics level. There are no overt super-stupidities, so that straight on the forehead - either (and after the Attraction, the forehead was red). Just like that, little things to pick on. Disappeared this squalid blue filter of color, when shot on a bright sunny day, the picture was struggling to make dark, gloomy and overcast. Plus, the film acquires a certain scale of events, which is also great.
Realizing that the Pandora’s box opened a couple of years ago in the face of Sasha Petrov, who was specifically annoyed and tired, will no longer work, the Petrovsky role goes into the background, and a new face opens up to the world, previously flashing in small projects and some TV series – Yuri Borisov (by the way, also flashed in the Outpost), who incredibly convincingly played his role as a brave soldier. He'd be a bad Terminator in the last part - and maybe Terminator wouldn't have failed at the box office. It's bravo. At the same time, the heroine of Irina Starshenbaum is no longer a stupid schoolgirl from Chertanovo, but a boy-baba who has become sharply wiser and matured over 2 years with her principles and position. The difference in images is very noticeable, and now the main character of the film is no longer annoying, but more than fits into the events. In general, wherever you look, all the moments in the film are corrected and improved on the first part, Attraction. And that's cool.
The bottom line is simple. Invasion is a rare case where the sequel is significantly stronger than the first film. And a unique case in general, when all the bright, conspicuous shortcomings of the first film are actively corrected in the second. For this, Bondarchuk can directly shake his hand at a meeting, either he realized himself, or he listened to numerous criticism - and changed something. Of the interesting, New Year's rental does not help the Invasion much, after such a deafening failure, the viewer does not go as actively to the Invasion as it was on Attraction. And, it turns out, a better quality film will show weaker results than its frankly poor quality predecessor. And the triquel may not give money, but the rudiments are. Something global-scale epic, on the level of the battle of civilizations and the same Independence Day. Maybe there will at least reveal the simple truth that the life of one person is not worth the lives of hundreds of thousands of innocently dying. And that's where it happened, but it didn't give any instructive lesson about it, like it's norms. And otherwise... I never thought I'd write this, but yes, you can go to the movies. Although the Outpost got me more hooked. Let in many ways the films were similar in mood.
No one knows just what has become of her/Shattered doll, desperate/Oh so innocent and delicate/But too damn obdurate/And obstinate to let go/Broken down, hurt again, it never ends/Frightened and trembling/Did she fall again? An accident?/Her eyes encircled in black again/I can't believe that she's still with him.
Fortunately or unfortunately, society is arranged in such a bizarre way that everyone wants to kill a deviant doll walking through the main city of the world, while no one cares about it. Only a couple of sensitive enthusiasts are willing to step in and protect her until the end. How am I supposed to react to that? Some kind of cognitive dissonance, I was told in kindergarten that people need to trust and help. Oh, well, even though the enemies are not people, inhumans, everything is normal. Okay, well, I just thought that if all the people in town are interested in their lives, they should be doing their best. What did we see? We saw only a miserable flooded anthill, the cowardly and helpless inhabitants of which are just aimlessly mad at the whole film. Yes, it is a film, because only the creator of such a film could come up with an introduction by cutting. Pixel cut! At the beginning of the damn movie! That's it, friends. Maybe I'm a fool, but the sequel was worth more. Why would they eat in the village? Dry potatoes, mouth like a desert canyon! More moisture.
I am a master of origami and a master of analogies. On the one hand, I understand Yulechka, on the other, I envy her, because I have never been given so much attention. At least with me in clinics and hospitals, they also run like a written torpedo. That's what happens, "Oh, poor, so small, and now ..." “Sit here for a while, the doctor will be here soon.” "Well, are you comfortable? Don't worry, it'll go very quickly, you'll go home. I'm used to it. What do I care? But she seems to be standing across her throat. So I want to help, but at least give a few tips on how to be when everyone wants to feel sorry for you. I also suffered self-sacrifice and self-flagellation in my time. He said, "Please let this grandfather pass in front of me, I can sit still, he needs more." Oh, shit! Why do people wait for months for hospitals and surgeries, and they bring everything to me right away? “I’m sitting here with my illnesses all the time, spending public money, and someone is really sick.” But nothing worked, I was given only the best. Over time, I calmed down, cooled down and began to enjoy being stroked on the head. Try it sometime, if you can, it's very nice.
Okay, that's nice, but I have to keep going. Even the monstrous "Deus Ex Machina" is not able to overcome the main drawback - dryness, when scraping and scraping, trying and drilling different holes, and the juice does not flow. There's nothing you can do! Mannequins just sit and stare at one point, instead of coming alive and dancing all over the room, no better than cripples, no better than trees - no matter, the main thing that worked. It's -- it's like Godzilla -- the majestic splendor of the form obscures all the importance and even the necessity of the essence. Instead of doing the right thing, I felt as if, along with the liquid spreading across the screen, specialized sewage was leaking into my skull. What can I say, great! You're not happy or sad because you're afraid of both. That's all, I tore off the mask, ripped off the cover, washed away with Moscow. You see, I'm such a great psychologist, I'll split any nut in two. And I'll even get Saska Petrov, my friend, out of his mechanical sarcophagus so I can give him my hand and go somewhere far away on my bike. We gotta get ready! Some of the wrong ideas fall on your head, even crying hunt. It is necessary to speak in essence, revealing the meaning and center of the plot.
Look inside see what has become of her/Hiding within again/Can she pick herself up again? / It's just too difficult and arduous to let go/Homicide flashes through her mind again/No more pain, take control/If he raises his hand again/She'll find her freedom in killing him/The world will see that she's had enough.
And the brave military, my friends, all of them in Sasageo. Sasageo! and how glorious it is to watch the rescue. After all, I have not had anything yet, I have only been to Moscow once, even in Moscow City I did not really walk. My city is a tablet and pajama screen, a night light or a lava lamp before bed. I wouldn't remember Hariton's exact address, I'm not as hard-working as he is, I haven't got my own garden. And most people are just like me. From this point of view, the girl would not have chosen me. Don't do that! She's got this life... like muscles in a thorn. Two sun-letters filled everyone's brains with the manipulation of media, gadgets and this. And no life! Everyone is running, allegedly chasing after her. So, and the information topic of the type passes here with a red thread, so that the state can manage information, otherwise it will do aliens.
Well, it's pretty messy. And Petrov did, from AUE, immediately conquer the intergalactic expanses and comprehend the deepest philosophical problems. In reality, the machine literally acts according to protocol, annihilates obstacles for its own purposes. For me, rationality never worked — I could chase a bun across town and then sit on a bench and think about how smart I was. Not like the others. Here is how any (almost) person is able to fill a standing stuffed cotton wool, and the creators are able to fill their product with a huge amount of water, as long as it seems more voluminous. And you squeeze out this monster, and you'll be left, squinting, sitting there some trembling underage, who managed and laughed at this monster with his little hands. And you can't argue with that. Just try it, give me an argument. I immediately squeezed out, and what remained (inexpensiveness) had to be considered almost with a magnifying glass. Does that mean anything to you? Personally, that told me everything I needed. I'm not going to spend a word on undergrowth again, let me figure it out myself now.
I watched "Invasion" on the big screen (as did "Attraction" 3 years ago) and that's why I was really impressed, as in 2016! Yes, it is undoubtedly a visual attraction. I would rather say audio-visual. Sound is no less important in movies than the image. But the ride is fair, that's the main thing.
The story of the love of an earthly girl and an alien in modern Moscow. Perhaps this could be made and author's film in the spirit of "" Stay in my shoes, but let’s be frank: on the subject of aliens, technology and invasions, we love and remember much more.
“Invasion” is a really spectacular blockbuster, which is extremely rare to say about Russian genre cinema. And even with a skillfully woven sound atmosphere (how rarely in our films the voices of heroes sound natural in a fantastic setting). Blakbuster with a clear humanistic message about humanity, worthy of acting performance and exciting - no worse than "Move up / b" - the culmination.
In other words, this is exactly the movie that is created and “works” only on the big screen and only when the viewer wants to immerse himself in the atmosphere of adventure, without bothering with the complex intricacies of the plot. Why? Because they're not here. Perhaps - I will express a seditious thought - this is the film they do not need.
The plot of any large-scale blockbuster always leaves questions. Even in the most skilful "Beginnings" Christopher Nolan it is not quite clear how the characters plunge into a joint sleep (technology!) and change their appearance for others (but Tom Hardy and not so can be forgiven). But, you will agree, these questions, if they arise, then only after viewing. Because in the end, what matters is what emotions the story is telling the viewer.
The authors of Invasion speak exactly the language that their potential audience loves and understands. The language of spectacular illustrations of understandable conflicts. Trust or resist? Forgive or revenge? And my favorite is, "Which planet are you fighting for?" But secretly, they also raise topical issues today. First of all, our voluntary sharing of personal data and unconditional trust in the digital information field.
As a result, as a viewer, I have a pleasant sense of satisfaction from watching. After all, I was not only staged a spectacular “big bada boom”, but also do not consider me an idiot, ready to mindlessly watch how the Moscow skyscrapers collapse.
And a word about actors. You will not believe it, but here all of us warmly beloved Alexander Petrov, on the basis of the script, of course, did a serious job, thanks to which closer to the final of his Artem caused me personally the greatest sympathy among all the characters. Well, Yura Borisov - skillfully combining and even uniting today author's and genre cinema - demonstrated the ability to painstakingly get used to the circumstances of his character, no worse than the great Robert De Niro (who received a taxi driver's license and drove New Yorkers for half a year at night) and Daniel Day-Lewis (a year who studied the skill of a tailor for his last cinematic appearance on the screens).
Russian cinema has reached the level to show a beautiful, not deprived of meaning cinema from the genre of fiction!
The plot (unlike the first film in 2017 - Attraction) really keeps in suspense almost the entire film. The name for the second part was chosen objectively correct – “Invasion”, which meant not only an alien invasion, but also an invasion of the life of each person, in the film it feels very strong and realistic (which was further enhanced by the involvement of real TV presenters).
The colorfulness of the film, visual effects and the scale of destruction, as well as the picturesque corners of Russian nature, amaze with their entertainment and any viewer will agree with this, such films should not pass by! We are in no way inferior to American blockbusters either in the picture or in the storyline. Of course, the film has small flaws, but to me – it’s all small things that can only hurt the attention of countless “great film critics of our time”, who strive to find any “fly” in the script and inflate it to the size of an elephant. I am always objective in my assessment, although I am not enthusiastic about most Russian films. If the game of actors is worthy of admiration, then so it is - maybe Rinal Mukhametov could play better, but the rest of the main characters are on top, especially Oleg Menshikov and Alexander Petrov (who, by the way, as in the film perfectly played, and in all the promotional trailers before the film ...)
In my opinion, "Invasion" is a great, non-trivial movie, revealing and once again clearly showing our human nature and instincts. Cinema, which is designed for a wide audience and can compete with any of the films about aliens (especially in terms of plot – just a bomb!).
Stephen Hawking's eloquent quote is more pertinent and permeates the whole film: "The universe would not matter if it were not a home for the people we love."
9 out of 10
The month of December, despite several high-profile premieres, did not fade at all. "The Irishman", "Six Outlaws", "The Witcher", "Star Wars: Skywalker". Saga, Union of Salvation on paper and on the Internet looked like monsters of rolling colossal scale and ambitions, but in fact turned out to be, to put it mildly, tolerable projects, about which you can start a discussion, but after 20 minutes fatigue and boredom will roll. Of course, it may be only in our reality, we will not argue. Just to the fact that the project "Invasion" in addition to the fabulous date of January 1, received additional responsibility in order to please the alcoholic people with a honed spectacle in a fashionable cinema.
Name options for the third part: "Immersion"
Sounds, yeah, weird and funny. What, the film by Fyodor Bondarchuk and the spectacle in the cinema in one sentence after the ever-memorable "Attraction", about which I do not want to recall?! Be quiet, no one has canceled the work on mistakes. The only problem is that the sequel did not have a strong support in the form of a tolerable first part, since there its uninteresting game took place. Get ready, “Invasion” begins with an impressive even retelling, or rather, with a visual presentation of all the events that occurred more than 2 years ago. There's definitely going to be another screwup, you might think. Well... The ardent haters who will still carry money to the cinemas will continue to be angry.
Title options for the third part: "Respect"
Although, in our opinion, the continuation had an effective effect on the new film franchise, in which the third part, judging by the end, clearly be. Wait, this is not the same as “viewers saw one of the best films in Russia recently” or “Russians still learned to create their own cinema, not answers to Hollywood”. There are enough sins, nothing can be done. For example, the character of Yuri Borisov began for health, and then finished for discharge rest. “Drawn” him insanity, which played a heavy role in the ending. The main heroine (on a secret paper) Lebedeva by the efforts of the screenwriters almost all the Movie satisfactorily showed what it was like to be that passive character.
Name options for the third part: "Regulations"
As long as there were only men around her and still cared about her. Daddy, first of all. Khariton Ogorodovich, of course. The same Rus, now crippled and beaten. Google in Rostelecom will cling. And military Yuri Borisov. They almost blow dust off her, and your girl really did not understand anything in life to be considered such an important fig. Yes, she's a victim of enormous proportions, she didn't choose the hard way. Although wait, in the first part, she wanted revenge, so she finished playing Oldboy. Let him grow up before the others somehow. In the third project, if the topic of nannies continues, about writing is gone. More annoying is mascara.
Name options for the third part: "Multiplication"
I can't count how many times she's flowed out of Lebedeva's eyes. Chariton tries to be remembered for humor, but his clear announcer pronunciation is also more annoying than it makes you take off your underwear. And Keanu Reeves was once an alien with his views on humanity, but he didn't pretend to be a human-moking clown. Probably, many will like Alexander Petrov, whose character has changed markedly (or not), so you can see how the main actor of Russia squeezes out all the strength for the game (or again not). In general, almost all characters are on the same level, so as not to expect surprises. In principle, if the alien invasion ended in their victory, they would not be upset. Really.
Name options for the third part: "Equipment"
After all, is there any echo of extraterrestrial happiness in this movie? Only before that, we note that, according to the synopsis, no one disassembled the girl directly on the atoms. Was there any love, loyalty, and mercy against alien technology? Now what is worth noting is the visual component. In the first film, you can remember only a fallen ball on Chertanovo in terms of the most spectacular. Here in "Invasion" the creators did not stint on the scale of the action. On the big screen looked juicy, fervent, awesome. The music with Zimmer's next notes was right. The sound is clearly at a high level. The score is: 5 points for the entire technical part.
Characters don't care. No response. Not to be compared to American projects. For multimillion-dollar Russia, the movie is spectacular enough to go to the cinema without fear.
P.s. In one scene, Lebedeva spoke via video link with her father. She said if Mom was alive, she'd say she loved her, but she'd tell Daddy that, too, though she didn't do it that often. Why did she say that?! Whoever can explain, we will give him our immense love.
