The plot is standard for a thriller: a tragedy occurs with the main character, about which she does not remember anything, like the last year of her life. Her case is investigated by an experienced detective, who was hooked by this seemingly unremarkable story. But who was she running away from? What was she doing in that area?
Now we will discuss the pros and cons of the film. To be honest, I watched it because of Mike Vogel.
Let's start with a good one. I liked the cast. Once a star of the Disney channel, Brenda Song (Jennifer) and Mike Vogel, known for the series “Under the Dome” (Russell). The actors did well with their roles. They managed to convey the main spectrum of human emotions and, in general, it looked quite plausible.
I also loved the scenery. God, that was so beautiful. And the operator's hands are growing out of the right place, which is great. The most general plans of nature are not very many, but they are fascinating.
Now let's get to the minuses. This film proves that if you are a good director, actor, cameraman, but if the script is not finalized, to put it mildly, then there will be little use. Yes, the film has all the attributes of a detective and thriller, but it has been shot many, many times. Nothing new.
It seems that the plot is intriguing, but as it turned out, everything becomes clear who is who and why from the first 5 minutes of the film. And if you have already watched the trailer before watching, then consider that you have already seen the whole movie.
And to me, that’s the only downside that ruined the whole movie, there’s just no point in talking about anything else. It all comes down to the script. Having only one character, when in other, more successful films, two characters trying to win over a girl was not the right move. But apparently the writer has not heard of it. This is what caused the film to fail.
The film can be seen, but purely for the background, while you are busy with something more useful.
