With whom only Batman did not fight, in addition to all the villains and heroes of DC, the authors supply Bruce Wayne with opponents from other universes, from other comic book arches and in general from other pop culture phenomena. The film adaptation of the joint plots of Batman and Ninja Turtles resulted in a rather pleasant full meter. Of course, given the fact that the main character is the Bat, the turtles in the project are heroes of the second plan, but the scope is good.
New York City and Gotham's mix of crime lead all villains to the last city. In addition to heroic meetings, the director very tactfully brings together antagonists. Although the plans to transform the population of Gotham are too fabulous, the joint services and opportunities allow you to enjoy the information of such impossible, but very similar villains. Ra’s al Ghul and Schroeder not only create an ominous aura over the city, but act with the combined efforts of the Eastern martial arts. The Legs clan and the League of Shadows are delighted. It seems that the pleas of fans are heard, because in combination with the character of the leaders, taking into account barter, the cartoon tries to bring the resistance to the external level.
At the same time, Batman investigates a string of thefts in which ninjas are spotted. The plot acts on the worked-out scheme of superhero crossovers: a meeting of the Turtles with the villains of Gotham, a meeting of Batman with the villains of New York, a meeting of Batman and the Turtles. The humor and style of the four brothers gradually wedge into the dark tone of the dark knight, making their dissimilarity give rise to a beautiful dynamic. Unfortunately, turtles are not animated very well, disproportionately. The emphasis in the cartoon is on Batman, but the turtles are not the last heroes.
It is a pleasure to split into pairs during the interaction. Team Batman and Turtle: Bruce Wayne with Leonardo, Raphael with Robin, Donatello with Barbara Gordon, and Michelangelo got Alfred. Well-known "solyanka" turned out! There was a question about the main villain of Batman, but very subtly fits into the events of the hospital Arkham. The idea of the villains, although not new, but it is impressive that without the help of each other, the main bosses will not be able to achieve the desired.
The cartoon is not long, it pleases with the humor with which turtles shoot right and left, it mixes the seriousness of Gotham with the frivolous tone of New York guests. In addition to the reactions to the usual dark DC universe, turtles give rise to better comments and pertinent remarks. At the same time, the bat family is influenced by turtles: from pizza to Cavabank. Fights and styles please with dynamics and realism on the screen. That’s how the harmony that borders on humor and thriller turned out to be unique. You can ridicule Mikey's admiration for the bat-mobile, but be horrified by the hard tricks of the villains. And Batman’s fight with Schroeder hears a separate spin-off – it was incredibly cool and strong.
As a result, the project satisfies the fan base. Impressions. What could not be imagined together, combined with gloom and humor. Features of turtles, Batman gadgets, the horrific consequences of visiting Arkham, the demonstration of the villainous plan - everything looked impressive. The director placed both wild thrash and detective answers to questions to assess the mutual help of reptiles and bats.
The cartoon immediately throws into the viewer a lot of villains and heroes, both from the Batman universe and from the Turtles universe, without telling their backstory. If you’re not familiar with the basic lore of these universes, some things may seem silly. Although on the scale of the whole plot, this is not very striking.
The first act introduces us to the main heroes and villains. The characters collide with each other through excellent staging of battle scenes. Almost immediately we are given to understand what the plot will be built around.
In the second act, we introduce the secondary villains of the film, but no less interesting for those familiar with the Batman universe. In addition, we are more familiar with the characters and show their interactions with each other. The action scenes in this act, unfortunately, look very faded and are not remembered.
And Act 3, where, as in most superhero movies, the final battle takes place. All plans are revealed and plot twists are passed. The action scenes look better than the second act, but don't get much of a memory.
As a result, the cartoon is good and suitable for those who want to watch something once in the evening and forget after a week.

We live in a time when the screens, sometimes, embodied what a 12-year-old I could only dream of - the adaptation of the most crazy stories, a wave of sequels of favorite films and cartoons, crazy crossovers, in short, everywhere the cult of nostalgia. And I will not deny that Hollywood producers still manage to please the child sitting in me, it is a pity that the old boring and endlessly whining about the digestibility of the final product grandfather, who I am in everyday life, and who is over 20, often spoils the fun not only for himself, but also for everyone around. Today I will try to shut up this cynical bastard and enjoy the meeting of the Dark Knight with the Mutant Ninja Turtles, in pursuit of their eternal enemy, who came to Gotham. Let's go in order.
Characters:
Batman and Ninja Turtles:
It all begins with the penetration of the Foot clan into the Powers Industrial laboratory, where the latter, according to established tradition, are waiting, then during a short skirmish, the Ninja Turtles are cut down. And then it dawned on me that Nickelodeon obviously forgot forever about the existence of the animated series about the Turtles of 2003, because everything, except the design of the main characters, and shouts about the spirit of the project 1987. Here you and Stockman, mutated into a fly and the notorious “liquid” from the TCRI and even the symbol of the Foot clan in the form of a red trace from a bare foot – again, all the above paraphernalia migrated here directly from the version of the 87th (for the full picture there is not enough Technodrome and Krang to pair with Bebop and Rocksteady). This, to confess, made me a little sad, because the Turtles of 2003, which people remember, who are more nostalgic for zero than for the eighties and nineties, are unjustly forgotten by the authors of new comics and films about the Turtles, the adventures of the shell four. However, Batman’s encounter with our young mutants made up for this terrible feeling. Honestly, while all my friends admired Raphael’s coolness, Donatello’s genius, and burned over Mikey’s stupidity, I was dragged by the self-flagellation of Leonardo, who, as an older brother, took responsibility for the safety of the whole family and acutely experienced any mistakes and failures, blaming them on his own, as he thought, weakness and inconsistency as a team leader (of course, I am now describing the character of Leo 2003). The subsequent interaction of Bruce Wayne with the Turtles (especially with Leonardo, whose hidden fears prevent him from gathering and concentrating here), fortunately, more than justified the absence of Splinter’s teacher in the narrative.
Ra's al Ghul and Shredder:
The unification of the League of Shadows and the Foot clan absolutely organically lies in the main mix. Equal alliance between Ra's al Ghul and Oroku Saki, where each of them shows respect for his companion (not allowing himself sharp attacks, and avoiding unnecessary confrontation), makes, at least curious observation of their partnership. Both are extremely reserved and self-confident individuals who prefer to work in the shadows and keep their subordinates in an iron grip (in the case of Shredder, literally). However, there is no clear hierarchy in their relations - they would certainly not mind leading both clans when one of them dies, but neither in their behavior nor in their dialogues there is even a hint of betrayal of a potential opponent, which, in my opinion, once again proves their fear (maybe loudly said) of each other. Things are a little worse with the appearance of other antagonists from the Batman universe. They in this tape are the subject of the interior and added to the plot, so that the animators could play with their design (without context!), and even then it was not as creative as it was funny!
Visual component. Combat style, weapons and skill level of Turtles always reflected their character. The director of the full-length film made enough effort for the action scene with the participation of the Turtles to emphasize their individual qualities. The animation of all the remaining characters is also pleasing with attention to detail and stunning production. Externally, Turtles are a kind of mixture of versions of 2003 and 2012, and everything else regarding lore is a huge reference to the TV series of the 87th. Batman costume is old school, when on his chest still adorned a ridiculous yellow target with the image of a bat. The general impression, alas, spoil the squalid 3D-buildings in the background, or this is also a tribute, But already "Spider-Man" of the 94th?
“Batman vs. Ninja Turtles” is by no means a stand-alone work. The unenlightened viewer is likely to be frightened by the lack of intelligent exposure, clumsy dialogue aimed at responding to loyal fans of the two franchises, individual situations and entire scenes that shamelessly exploit the knowledge of generations who grew up on the adventures of these characters. However, this does not go to the disadvantage of the creation of Jake Castoren, because you also need to be able to play on the feelings of the audience competently, with which Warner Bros. Animation and Nickelodeon did great!

Different collaborations of various universes of comics from different publishers are not something completely new. It’s probably obvious that comic book makers need to engage their audience with something, and cool headlines do it the best they can. "Terminator vs. Robocop," "Alien vs. Predator," or "Batman vs. Ninja Turtles." How can you resist? Probably every fan of a particular series will definitely be interested to see how all these monsters and the hero will confront each other, well, or interact. And then we come to the fact that the DC film division gradually began to transfer similar stories to the screens, well, of course, with the presence of their own iconic heroes. Just last year came out “Scooby-Doo and Batman”, and now it’s come to the Turtles-Ninja.
Gotham City is once again uneasy. It would seem that Batman sent to the hospital Arkham a whole bunch of supervillains, but that’s the bad luck, they are constantly multiplying. Well, they're not, so to speak, local. This time, a certain Shredder appeared, who leads the Ninja clan – Foot. But the unexpected guests of Gotham do not end there, and with Shredder, four strangers appear. They look even weirder, and they don't look like people at all. The Knight of Gotham will have to figure out who they are and what their motives are, including the motives of the insidious Shredder.
In the nineties, I was a real fan of the animated series about the Turtles-ninja, and such a collaboration with Batman certainly could not help but attract my attention. I suspect I won't be alone at all. From a visual point of view, Batman vs. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles is executed somewhat differently than most of the previous DC full-lengths. The picture is closest to the old animated series about Batman. Well, what about the Ninja Turtles, they just the opposite, have a more updated look, which is still tirelessly promoted by Nickelodeon. After an old animated series about these pizza lovers, it is absolutely difficult for me to perceive them in this format. But from the point of view of action, everything is in order here, there is a lot of it, and there is certainly a number of really high-quality scenes. What is the collision between Batman and Shredder?
From a plot point of view, everything also seems to look very good, at least the story is able to interest, and the number of certain characters sometimes just run away. Of course, the heroes and villains of DC are more involved. With the latter, there is even some overkill, there is clearly not enough screen time for each, but for such a work it hardly has such a significant problem. In addition, it is worth saying that the design of the characters themselves is somewhat different from the usual. Not everyone, of course, but it happens. In any case, it is obvious that to miss such a combination of two completely different and probably beloved universes, definitely not worth it.

From time to time, it becomes clear that comic books lack something new. Batman, one of the most popular superheroes, despite his rich past, has been stuck in doom and gloom in recent decades (with the exception of Lego Batman). A new look is always interesting, especially a fun and fascinating look. In order to dilute the world of the Dark Knight, the Ninja Turtles visited him. "DC-Warner" and "Nickelodeon" suddenly, correctly beat such a wild, disparate experience of modern pop culture. The writers correctly understood the purpose of the Turtles team in Gotham and created a work that is both active and humorous, but not excessively stupid.
Shredder arrives in Gotham with his gang of ninjas to remove equipment from Bruce Wayne for his nefarious purposes. Turtles are chasing him. Initially, fearing their presence and ... appearance, Batman enters into battle with them, but later teams up to fight Shredder, Ra’s al Ghul and another host of Batmenian enemies: Mr. Freeze, Bane, Scarecrow, Two-Face, Penguin, Poison Float, Harley Quinn and, of course, the Joker.
The writers very freely treated the original source, but it even went to the benefit of the material. In general, the work is served in the form of free imagination and the plot does not take much time to create an installation for the crossover, already from the first scenes immersed in the thick of events. The effect appears almost immediately and will probably resonate in the hearts of both fans and viewers barely familiar with the franchises: most viewers of such animation projects would immediately prefer to move to the central conflict. It is implemented in a powerful form: Batman fights Shredder, the Turtles try to fight back supervillains and, oddly enough, peaceful civilians are dying in tons. The easy adventure is full of violent scenes without excesses, which adds zest and special touches. Indeed, well, do not abuse the same gags about the notorious gang of turtles, although they are here in abundance, but Batman still remains Batman.
It's understandable that an animated film titled Batman vs. Ninja Turtles should be filled with fan service. Each scene contains some kind of "Easter Egg": from black and white credits, reminiscent of the style of the original Turtle comics, to the classic Bat Cave. A separate bow to the final credits: for dedicated people, watching them will bring a lot of pleasure. It's also impossible not to be enthusiastic about the character design: the creators were deftly able to combine both the definitely cartoonish Turtles style and the grim gothic of the DC world, where the funky reptile ninja quartet doesn't stand out.
However, in his concept, Batman vs. Ninja Turtles faces one problem: a slightly unbalanced tone. The dark gloom of Gotham gives way to a fun-filled theme park. And the Turtles themselves are not very distinguished: they seem to be deprived of their individuality, and their characters were smeared on all four characters, for which, in fact, they criticized the new series from Nickelodeon. When it comes to villains, it is also a bit sad: the same Scarecrow is indistinguishable in motivation from Two-Face; in the animated comic, they are just stupid thugs on the path of heroes to the “chief boss”.
For conservative viewers, Batman vs. Ninja Turtles may prove too radical, although this flight of free-spirited fantasy demonstrates two things: first, how talented the writers are, and second, the universality of the idea of fighting evil. The project came out exclusively “for their own”: if someone likes the Ninja Turtles and/or the Bat Family, then it is likely to become a very noticeable work. Spectators random, alas, may not appreciate the project: still noticeable undisguised orientation to thin fans of the genre, victoriously marching into the masses.
