Kind, family comedy with a fantastic background. Family members suddenly found themselves in each other’s bodies. To inform the outside world about this incredible event, they hesitated, fearing that they will be locked in quarantine, and then begin to study as laboratory rats. In an attempt to adapt to the situation, household members will have to literally visit the shoes of their relatives, living their lives and simultaneously solving piled up problems. The situation is complicated by the fact that you will have to change bodies more than once!
In some moments, actors overplay, for example, the little girl Shasha in the body of the head of the family Alain (that is, actor Frank Dubosk). A seven-year-old child today cannot be so infantile. And the actress Roz de Quervenoel in the role of the mother of the family Sophie perfectly proved it. By the way, the baby's cute. And played well.
The film looks easy, it is ideal to include the background, while doing other things. If you approach the viewing more seriously and carefully, then the shortcomings may seem too obvious. Although the film was shot only a couple of years ago, the atmosphere is very reminiscent of those kind comedies of the 90s and early 00s, the spirit of which in American cinema is irretrievably lost.

Once upon a time there was not the most prosperous and close-knit family: spineless Alain, tired Sophie and their three children – 14-year-old drug addict Leo, 16-year-old vertebrate Valentina and 7-year-old Shasha. And one morning, each of them woke up in a different body.
The subject of the exchange of bodies, of course, is worn out, but the viewer will clearly get tired of it at the same time when he gets bored of the contemplation of flowing water or burning fire. I mean, never. Well, how not to blame the next poor bastards, forced to always find themselves in awkward situations? There's a place to go. Alain tries to save his newspaper from bankruptcy, Sophie rushes between her husband and lover (this line is just fire), Valentina rushes to a party, Leo does not stick from a jamb, and Shasha is upset because of a copper pelvis birthday. The authors periodically throw new participants of this madhouse into the plot, then throw the heroes into completely insane circumstances.
In some places, what is happening smells of purely cinematic idiocy, and adults look rather not funny, but stupid, then making stupid faces, then dressing up in ridiculous clothes. But more successful scenes and plot surprises pay off everything. And the actress who played the younger one is so great that you can watch the film only for her. Give an Oscar to this goddess!
The film will definitely not let you get bored while watching and will perfectly lift the mood in a dull overcast evening. And the original crazy ending will be remembered for a long time.
So, imagine a quite typical family: a husband and wife often swear and get madly tired of everything around, children do not obey and try to resist their parents in every possible way, believing that they do not understand them at all, and even the grandmother with her moral teachings annoys both. No one understands or tries to understand anyone. Everyone is tired and tired of putting up with the shoals of the rest of the family. Perhaps a family psychologist could solve such problems, but fate decided to order otherwise, giving each of the family members the opportunity to feel in the place of their relative. "How?" you ask. It's very simple: she changed their bodies. And before you understand how to solve this problem and how to live on, you need to figure out who is stuck in whose body and learn to behave accordingly. Will this experience exacerbate problems and misunderstandings in the family or vice versa: bring all family members together and help them finally listen to each other?
Although such a plot can not be called absolutely original and new, but it certainly diluted the monotonous plots of comedies of recent years. The fact is that such a twist of the plot creates an almost limitless unploughed field for jokes and hamstrings. New and funny jokes, not stupid and predictable. So watching the comedy is very interesting. Heroes are simply chic: all so characteristic that in many ways you can really recognize the characters of our everyday life. The only problem is that not all the points were clear due to the difference in culture and traditions between us and the French, but there were very few such moments. What amused me the most was the moment when they still sorted out who was who and put inscriptions on everyone’s foreheads to distinguish each other. And in principle, as children performed the functions of adults, and adults tried to be children, so as not to arouse suspicions from others - it's just a fuss!
I think it was the actors who made such a great film. It’s not easy to be a man and play a woman or be a child, but to play an adult. Well, think for yourself how unusual it is to behave and express yourself as a grown woman when still a little girl. For this, a separate respect Rose de Quervenoael, who played, in my opinion, a very difficult role of a mother for the time of her daughter closed in her body. And the integrity of the film, perhaps, due to the fact that wrote the script and directed the film the same person – Jean-Patrick Benes. And also a great respect for artists and operators, because, among other things, the film turned out to be very bright and bright, so it’s nice to watch.
My conclusion is this: the movie is really cool and worth watching! It can really lift the mood and cheer up. By the way, there is also an instructive meaning here, which is also of great importance. I’ll watch the movie again, but I’ll probably laugh like the first time. It is very cool that the world cinema has not yet become impoverished with ideas and can produce such films as “Waving Bodies”. I would have watched the sequel.
Sometimes it happens that everything irritates you - the queue for attractions is too long, the sun is very hot and in general, in the middle of all this fuss, you simply want to take, turn around and go home! And then, in general, it is close to thinking about how your life will radically change, and the annoying relatives will disappear somewhere. But will you be truly happy? The question is very controversial, but the answer to it can be given very positive, cheerful and heartfelt! Actually, all this, as well as much, much more is worth seeing in the comedy “Waving Bodies”, which we will talk about later.
In the center of the story is the most ordinary French family Morel in the face of a mother-nurse, an unsuccessful father-businessman and three obstinate children. At first glance, they are happy, but if you look closer, it will become clear that everything is not so simple. Parents and children constantly find out between themselves and you can even think that they can not tolerate each other. But soon they will have to seriously reconsider their attitude to life.
The fact is that one morning our heroes woke up and suddenly realized that they were not themselves! They swapped bodies at random and must now learn to live someone else’s life without drawing attention to themselves. But if you thought that the exchange was one-time, you are very mistaken. The fact is that such unexpected changes will happen again, and the situation will become really unpredictable. Only we're used to the fact that dad is a little girl, and vice versa, how the next castling happens and it's really funny. But the most important thing here is not only to find the cause of such troubles, but also to learn again to understand each other and put up with other people's opinions. This is sometimes very difficult to do.
Jean-Patrick Benez's comedy was positive and funny. I personally have never seen anything like this before. No, of course, we’ve seen similar stories (like “Freaky Friday” with Lindsay Lohan and Jamie Lee Curtis), but it’s the first time the whole family has changed its bodies. During the viewing you will not be bored, because there is simply no time for it. And the cool thing is that the heroes just do not have time to get bored.
Repeated changes in the images of certain characters allow the filmmakers to constantly come up with more and more jokes, and you will definitely be interested in watching how children will deal with problems at work for their parents, and adults will go back to school in a new body.
Of the actors I liked the most was Frank Dubosk, who I saw in Ten Percent. It is always difficult for an adult actor to play a cheerful child, but Dubosk played his role perfectly. When he behaves like a small capricious girl who jumps like a burnt-out on the bed, it just can not but cause affection! That's what it means to give yourself to the game. I do not know the other performers, but I can still say that they played well and in no way inferior to their senior colleague. It is worth seeing.
My opinion on the comedy "Waving the Bodies" is unequivocally positive, and I guarantee you will enjoy this movie too. It seems that the plot is quite predictable, but the whole point here is in funny comic details, of which there are a lot, and they will definitely not let you get bored. So watch, cheer yourself up and most importantly just relax under a good movie.

I think it’s hard to find a person who doesn’t like comedies about the transfer of consciousness, say, from mom to daughter or from dad to son. They always give the audience a pure positive and serve as a source of a lot of jokes and jokes. Examples include "Freaky Friday," "13 to 30," "Daddy's 17 Again," and "The Boy in the Girl." All these films are rightfully considered classics and you can think that they have closed this genre in general and nothing else can be imagined here just can not, but how would it be! It turns out that the French have something to say on a given topic, and therefore I advise you to take a closer look at the new comedy “Waving Bodies”, which personally amused me very much.
The plot of the film tells about the misadventures of one seemingly ordinary family, which suddenly faced a very difficult problem that no one could have predicted. So, it seems that the day off of the Moreley family in the park was supposed to pass under the sign of this holiday. Finally, in one place all-everything gathered at once: the ever-busy dad Alain, and a little tired of routine mom Sophie, and baby Shasha, who does not put a finger in her mouth, and Valentina, the elder and part-time expert in all matters, and even Leo, who is easier to smoke on the sidelines than to attend events with his “ancestors”.
It all began with another quarrel, frustration and misunderstanding. Parents cannot put themselves in the place of children, and offspring, in turn, are not going to delve into the problems of adults. And then one morning, far from the good morning, all the members of the Morely family change bodies! Now the children suddenly became adults, and the parents, on the contrary, were transported into the bodies of their children. Agree that the situation is quite funny, but in fact this is only the beginning.
It turns out that one move does not end, and very soon there will be another change of bodies, which further confuses the situation. Here and up to a real panic at hand, but such an unusual incident is not only pretty funny and amusing, but also allows households to finally hear each other and understand that in the world there is nothing more important than family. Maybe it’s a simple truth, but it’s played out in this movie.
I really liked when her mother moved into the body of a seven-year-old girl and the crumb had to command her family, as if she really looked like a grown woman. It was really fun and the most important thing is that the little actress played it all. I did not even have any questions - she is a commander and there is no point in contradicting her.
The humor in the film is quite bold, sometimes even provocative, and it’s cool, because the film can not be called cowardly and clamped – if you have fun, then to the fullest. There are often raised acute issues that are always of interest to the adult audience, and the authors also decided not to ignore the topic of sex. Why not if it is important and relevant? Of course, not all of the shown is suitable for children, but still we must admit that for each audience category, a special film is shot, and here “Waving Bodies” is just perfect for those who are a little older and at the same time know how to enjoy bold, hard humor, which at the same time skillfully and resourcefully sings eternal family values.
As a result, “Waving the Bodies” is a really great and bold comedy, with which time flies by unnoticed. I want to thank the authors for their unconventional approach to a fairly familiar fairy tale story. I can say that I will definitely want to review this film, and this is a sign of quality.
