Once again, unfortunately, I am faced with the fact that in films, the target audience of which is ' stupid kids', the screenwriter completely forgets that he has to work. Troubadour's motivation jumps back and forth, like all the other characters who behave at least illogically.
In response to any problem, our gifted convict (in this film, Trubadour was in prison for almost 10 years) responds that ' well, I have my song' The first couple of times it looks romantic, then it looks like complete idiocy. Such a character is impossible to empathize, he does not think about the consequences of his actions.
Does the calculation that the children behind the beautiful (there are no questions arise) visual and familiar soundtrack (for some reason seasoned with modern processing, which kills all magic) will not notice this?
It was a good story, why unearth a patchwork blanket and try to reassemble, stitching white threads?
To be fair, I want to say a sincere thank you to the actors who with their skill at least somehow soften the stupidity of their characters. Zhiznevsky, Lyapina, Burunov and Aronova coped on ' Excellent'. Animals are not bad (the rooster has won my heart), but the way they look makes them wrinkle unpleasantly.
Children are not fools, accept this and endow the characters with intelligence, not cliche replicas of romantic heroes, not supported by further action and common sense.
An alternate story. Troubadour years later wants to find the one whose fault was in the prison of Bremen. Journeying with new friends and a princess lets him know there is more to life.
Actors: Zhiznevsky liked it. Without exaggeration, I will say that he showed an excellent dramatic image in places.
Valentina Lyapina beautifully performed vocals and acting. Although there were times when I wanted to stick my hands in the screen and shake out of it one answer: ' Why can't you tell your father straight that you want freedom?' Dialogue is the main thing. But not all parents are kind, like Troubadour. Sometimes there are black sheep in the royal robe. And the princess wants freedom, for that she will do anything. The truth of her remorse is hard to believe. The only thing that catches your eye is her age. There is a significant age difference between her and Zhiznevsky. I wonder why you couldn’t find a princess. Casting must've picked her up for some pretty bad data. For me, the age of the heroine is the main problem. Don't be mad, Valya.
All four friends of Troubadour reminded before watching the musical Cat, but it was before watching. And then I remembered the Planet of the Apes, in which the actors were in special costumes and makeup. The actors played as well as they should. Again, there are moments in the film that were clear from childhood. If the authors fill in the gaps, then it was necessary to complete the backstory of the animals. Why did they become anthropomorphic? I thought the Rooster would tell their backstory, like the Ninja Turtles in the mutagen. Or, like the cat Maurice (also voiced Burunov) talking in a human voice, because usually cats do not speak. And here for no reason or problem walking around Bremen. Wonder of nothing, but the beasts liked it. Especially the Cat (natural Lisa Alice).
I did not expect such an image of a brilliant detective. In the beginning I saw a ruthless man with snow-white teeth and flying on a mini-ball of air. I did not want to see a soft, gentle antagonist inside, who goes from the bay to a noble act in climax, and then disappears. You're breaking your word. From such a two-faced obscurantist you can fall into a stupor. I don’t know what he’s doing closer to the end. He doesn't want to lie, but he does. The antihero with a twist showed perfectly Khabensky. Only questions about the motivation of the hero are better to ask the writers.
Everything else: for many, the original cartoon remains expensive. I understand. For most people who have decided that this film is not what it looks like (in a bad way), I’m sorry. It's a good movie. Surely there will be those who will say: 'He twists the universal childhood of three generations of people' Not exactly. And there are other viewers for whom this light and relaxed picture is inspired by the modern fashion of the musical. Therefore, it is better for everyone to treat the film of Alexei Needy not as a desecration of the memory of childhood, but an alternative reality. ' Bremensky' with Magomayev are memorable cartoons that time will not change. And nothing can replace them. All right, let off steam? Now let’s talk about this movie:
The authors took advantage of Kryzhovnikov’s idea from his 'The Best Day' to make it easier for viewers to sing along to familiar songs under karaoke. Some of them have changed, but for the better. Therefore, the musical numbers are set perfectly and watch with close attention.
Musical scenes seem to be separate clips (and not in the spirit of the musical 'Cats' although there are many associations with it).
A sober spectator eye can see a bunch of minuses in this tape, but they are all insignificant and delusional. Sometimes the disadvantages generally turn into pluses (that is, they are corrected and justify their appearance) that you no longer pay attention to them. And I want to watch more of the difficult fate of Troubadur.
Of course! Like you, I had my doubts before watching. But the beginning of the story with his mother (Peresild) touched (not to the depth of his soul, but touched), and then to break away from viewing was impossible. And all the disadvantages of hunting to scroll through a meat grinder, roast and swallow.
Impressions: the Russian tape presented, as always, an easy and naive fairy tale without claims to seriousness. It's our spirit. The film, which cannot be ignored, causes tears in the eyes. If you haven’t opened your heart to the world yet, try to break the stereotype of musicians. Discovery awaits you. . .
The movie came out a little unusual. I watched it twice, and only from the second I seem to be able to catch the main thoughts inherent in the picture.
The first thing to say is that the new film is not a film adaptation or remake of the original cartoons. The team of Alexei Needy offers us a completely different vision of this story, which only partially overlaps with cartoons.
I admit, after watching the trailer, I was discouraged, and the Bremen musicians seemed a little scary. When I saw the film for the first time, the impression changed to just ' strange ' but after the second viewing, when I stopped thinking about how ' should be ' what ' needed makeup and costumes', it became clear to me why the four friends of Trubadur are like that.
There are completely different images of animals. They are at the same time similar and not like people. They look anthropomorphic, but they are different from us. There is a lot of emphasis on this distinction. That humans and beasts are different, the film even has a whole dialogue between Troubadour and his new acquaintances. If you think about it, this dialogue, like so many others in this film, is quite philosophical. No, I don’t want to say that the new ' Bremen Musicians' is a very philosophical and incredibly deep film, but it, despite being a fairy tale-musical, is not as simple as it might seem. Four animals appear before us: Cat, Dog, Donkey and Rooster. Each of them has a bright animal trait, behaves strangely, but as soon as you stop appreciating only the work of make-up artists, which, by the way, is very successful, just not quite standard, as well as pay attention to excessive emotionality and begin to look at the images appearing on the screen, listen to what they say, study their habits and behavior, you come to understand that it is animals that want to be like people. They are musicians, but because of their inattentive attitude, they are afraid of everything, they live under a bridge, they are not confident in themselves. Complexes are embedded in each of the images. For example, the Cat is a bit arrogant, but it won’t survive alone. The dog is too emotional, but he, like any dog, wants to find a real owner. The donkey is cowardly, afraid to change something, but he is kind and ready to come to the rescue in a difficult moment. The rooster is very narcissistic. And it is his transformation in the course of the film that is most controversial, less understandable. His image is the first significant minus.
Acquaintance with Troubadour gives rise to an interesting tandem of man and animals. Troubadour himself in the film is also not just a hippie boy in love, but a rather complex image that at some point forgets about his childhood dream and himself becomes like a beast, and the animals, four of his new friends, unexpectedly help him remember himself. Together they discover their life path and their family.
In general, all the images in the new film are rethought, twisted in some sense and supplemented. Take the king and his daughter the princess. They have features that were not in the original cartoons. The king, despite his humility, becomes more human. He is not just a stupid autocrat, but a loving father and a man who has life experiences behind him to help him understand his mistakes. The princess has a dream to perform at the festival. Ready to do anything for her, she uses the Bremen musicians, escapes with them from the palace. She behaves quite selfishly, but, on the other hand, thanks to her, both Troubadour and animals slowly begin to gain faith in themselves, to feel the strength to realize their dreams. The brilliant detective here is not just a mercenary, but also a rather interesting character who at some point realizes that his whole life did not what he should have done. At first the Atamansha appears to us cruel and nasty, but in the end she admits that all this is false, and only a difficult fate forced her to be so disgusting.
All these revelations happen unexpectedly, sometimes expectedly, but every time the characters find the strength to become better or even just understand themselves, you involuntarily rejoice for them and think about your weaknesses and dreams. However, the underlying meanings can quite pass by the viewer. The reason for this is the disturbing view of the film critic, which we all sometimes include. When I stopped looking for flaws and inconsistencies with the ‘perfect picture’ of the world, most of the questions went away. This is especially true of the animals I mentioned above. They're really extraordinary, but they have a right to exist, and the actors who played the beasts did as much, if not more, of those who played humans. Under makeup and costumes it is difficult to recognize artists, but when they speak or sing, it becomes clear who is who.
Speaking of music. It mostly consists of compositions of Soviet cartoons in a new arrangement. In general, the new sound, the new performance of vocal parts, I liked. I have claims only to completely new songs written specifically for the film, in which sometimes there are strange words and they sound too different from what we are used to hearing in the original cartoons. For example, rap, which does not fit here at all. The songs of an atamance and a brilliant detective, I would also take to the minuses, since they are very strangely executed. Otherwise, the arrangements are good, the artists sing well too. The sound is dense, juicy. Listen well, both from the cinema speakers and in headphones. Thanks to old favorite songs, the film seems to become an adaptation of Soviet cartoons, but at the same time, thanks to new images, new history, revealed themes that did not exist before, the film looks very different. It is both modern and not very modern.
To another controversial point, I can relate the story of the festival, which the princess dreams of attending. It’s essentially a parody of Burning Man, but what it’s for isn’t very clear. It was quite possible to do without this, and if you needed scale, you could not make any references to anything, but just make a speech in front of a huge crowd. The humor in the film is not very strong either. It is simple and not always successful, but it is impossible to write it in a clear minus, since the film is not a comedy. After two screenings, I can say that the film was rather successful and I liked it.
I recommend everyone to get acquainted with the new "Bremen Musicians" & #39; independently, watch the film without skepticism, try to understand and accept everything that directors, screenwriters, artists and actors wanted to show us. Then I'm sure you might like him!
I waited for the premiere as soon as I first saw the trailer in the theater. I was so impressed by the visual part: costumes, frame colors, modern super-style interpretation - wow!
The reaction to my mom’s trailer (the 1973 cartoon is a classic of her childhood) when she called me and said 'God! It's so scary! And these muzzles of animals?!' - then I thought 'Good boots, you should take!'
Of course, I am familiar with the Soviet cartoon, and the film 2024 is not an exact repetition of the original plot! but there are a lot of references and details! and collect them from the film, sometimes in completely unexpected places - it was very pleasant for me!
- In the film, a stunning picture - very cool scenery and costumes. I especially liked the fact that in this new universe, the spirit of the past coexist perfectly (after all, it is a kingdom: a castle, a king, served - well, in general, the Middle Ages), and modern aesthetics (electric musical instruments, robbers who rap, and the main characters eventually come to Coachella!).
- Spectacular action scenes (for example, chasing a cart with the main characters in the woods, with flying burning logs and a bunch of pyrotechnics - wow!)
- Cool humor!
- Those are my favorite songs, but in great arrangements. In some places slightly rethought, but it is no worse.
And most importantly, in all this magnificence of costumes, scenery, special effects and modern film technologies, goodness and love still defeat evil and make you leave the cinema with the belief that if you do something from the heart, everything will work out!
Noticed allusions to films: 'Slave of Love', 'The Same Munchausen' and 'Zorro'.
If from the first allusion only the phrase 'You are beasts, gentlemen', without the pathos of the original and therefore it is not clear why, if Zorro only masks, then with Munchausen it turned out much more interesting.
The brilliant detective decided that to live without a trace is wrong with the words ' there are too many lies in this world' took the baton from the hero Yankovsky, standing near the cannon before flying on the core.
The hero of Khabensky, the brilliant detective, also took the baton from his prototype with an amazing mental similarity. His flight on a Chinese flashlight also fit into the image.
But the best was Burunov the King. Very organic.
Peresild's role is as strange as possible. Looks like it's just for the name on the poster.
The connection of the childhood of Trubadur with his adult image through a homeless childhood in a gang, and then the prison will be blamed on the fairy tale of the plot or the desire to give a musical number to a very ringing and well-singing Miron Provarov.
Unfortunately, there were moments in childhood history that were hard to watch. First of all, to work as a costume designer. Child thieves with sausages around their necks, like beads, looked very strange. It even turned out some poeticization of the thief’s way of life. The street children grew up in gang members, and then went to the service of the king. It's a fairy tale. Or morals?
About morality you can still remember when ' Pendal' knocks a foreigner out of the city walls.
Someone may not have watched 'New Bremen' where Atamance wanted to marry the King herself and thinks that this is an original idea, but no. This film is similar not to the two, but to the three previous cartoons.
You can also see that the cat-cat pair has alternated more than once. 'Fearless Four' for example.
In the cartoon-prototype, some of the songs were simply very beautiful, like 'The ray of the sun is golden' and some - parody, like 'We stopped by for an hour'. Unfortunately, neither the beauty of the first nor the parody of the second did not hear. Something modern about nothing.
Were in Sochi for the New Year holidays (skiing), and went to the cinema with a large family. Mom and Dad and husband and son and daughter watched. What was a big plus, that after watching, the daughter and son recorded their version of the song “Ray of the Golden Sun”, so they were hooked by this song, and I am very happy about it, since cartoons – one in 1969, shot by Inessa Kovalevskaya and the second, “In the footsteps of Bremen musicians” (1973), shot by Vasily Livanov – our family is very fond. My impressions of viewing: Tikhon Zhiznevsky fit in very atmosphericly and organically for me, despite the fact that Trubadur is only 20 years old, and Tikhon is already 35 years old, he looked young, energetic, fresh. And I really liked Maria Aronova in the role of Atamansha robbers, Everything else and makeup with a grotesque shade, and animals, the king performed by Burunov, the princess – looked too modern, here you need to pay tribute to the production artists, the work was done colossal and painstaking. Hands-on songs. Max Fadeev was not remembered and not one remained in memory. Although their combination with the old The compositions of Gladkov’s music and Entin’s words looked good together. In terms of the plot - there is no definite motivation of the main characters, everything is crumpled, compressed or lost. It is quite possible to watch once, but I do not think that necessarily in the cinema, you can safely watch at home with your family. However, I would definitely recommend looking at it. For those of you who haven’t seen them, you will love them. For the new "Bremen Musicians" - 6/10.
About six months ago, I saw the trailer for this movie for the first time. Hopes for a good interpretation of the old cartoon were very high. And so, going to the cinema on January 4 to see this product of our cinema, I was left under a kind of double impression and seemingly good, and seemingly bad. Briefly about everything in order:
1) The plot changed, in my opinion, not for the better, the scriptwriters clearly overdid, adding something new and because of this ' new' plot holes and logical inconsistencies are very noticeable, for example, the scene at the very beginning I caused not feelings, but fierce laughter - it turned out a purely black comedy. Also, since when did the troubadour, so to speak, swell, considering the place where he was. Regarding the main characters in the person of the troubadour and the princess, there are many questions about their dreams and goals, each time they are different. The very love line between them is frankly weak, or rather it almost does not exist, apparently in our time it is so difficult to show at least love and mutual feelings. . .
2) Animals in the face of a dog, a donkey, a rooster and a cat (the cat was in the canon) seem to be good, but this makeup, movements, facial expressions, conversations - still graphics or animation, a la the same Cheburashka or Humpbacked Horse would look better. With regard to robbers and the king, things are getting less and less good. There are downsides, but minor. . .
(3) I want to say a huge thank you to the decorators, artists and the cameraman, here you can see the people of your business - the picture is fresh and spectacular throughout the film, if not the screenwriter, as they say. . .
(4) Regarding songs and music, it was possible to do better, first, the songs are not performed to the end, and one of them was, as it seemed to me, not in the topic at all. . .
Verdict, it is worth saying that this film, or rather the musical is very good and watchable, if you do not go into these scripts, consider childhood mistakes, leaving the cinema, I saw the happy faces of children, then everything is not as bad as they say if children like it, it is for real.
A decent one-time movie, say, for general development and nostalgia.
The film will find its audience, but I will not go there again.
Yesterday he and his wife visited the widely publicized film “Bremen Musicians”. Choosing between Holop 2 and Alexei Necessary’s film was not difficult. In the very title "Bremen Musicians" felt that native, nostalgic. It was expected to see the embodiment of a fairy tale familiar from childhood. The outcome was mixed. In fact, the writers wrote a story completely alternative to what the Brothers Grimm and Yuri Entin wrote. As you know, Troubadur appeared only in the Soviet cartoon. The Grimm Brothers were limited to the animal quartet. The alternative is not the question. In the end, “Cheburashka”, the champion in the collection of last New Year’s season, is also not an adaptation of the animated film of the same name, and I liked the film unconditionally. I spent almost two hours trying to figure out what was wrong with me. Why the movie doesn't come to me.
The first thing that puzzled me was the landscapes of the Caucasus. Bremen is located in northwestern Germany near the North Sea in a lowland. There are no mountains in sight. For the sake of a beautiful picture, you can lie, but not so much.
The life descriptions and ordeals of the first young, and then very mature Troubadur are at odds with the ideas formed in childhood under the influence of the cartoon. Magic disappears, Troubadour, not only the local, but also the convict. The fairness of his “walker on a minor” did not cause me a shadow of doubt, the composition of the crime was. In addition, this connection with the criminal world of Bremen, as it turned out very real, breaks the idea of Troubadour as a free hippie musician, with his friends musicians accidentally wandered into Bremen.
The spirit of freedom for which we fell in love with the Soviet cartoon is completely absent from the film. The group is engaged in issues of survival, which does not fit with the motto of Entin’s work “And tempting vaults will never replace freedom ...” Questions of non-freedom permeate the film. How else to explain the joy of the animal quartet that they now have a man, which makes the group quite representative in the eyes of people. It reminded me of the swing gangs of New Orleans that white producers noticed. And how longed the dog, after Troubadour left, that they were again left without their master. Can you imagine this scene with a cartoon dog? How poor these animals look compared to free musicians from the Soviet cartoon. And as it became clear from the first minutes of the film, the beast is also local - Bremen. These unfortunate creatures, clutching at Troubadour as a straw, have nothing to do with those Donkey, Rooster, Dog, Cat created by Entin. For those animals, Troubadour was a source of trouble, with his Princess, not his master as for the present. I love the old free musicians. Even the longing of musicians who were not allowed to celebrate in the castle looks different than in the cartoon. In the cartoon, it's the disappointment in Troubadour - "We thought you were ours," and in the film it's the anguish of discarded animals.
The fact that a cat turned into a cat is nothing. By the way, the cat performed by Gorbachev looked organic, although the masquerade robes of people depicting animals look archaic. In the yard of the first half of the 21st century and Cheburashka showed that our experts can draw. Why this was not the case with the Bremen Musicians remains a question. The film turned out to be protracted and in places resembled a quest in which they delayed the search for a way out. It was expected that the plot would revolve around the music, in the cartoon version it was, but not in this case. There was little or little music. The plot with the festival was clearly untwisted and lost all meaning. Why not let "I can't sleep at the wall" is a hit Gladkov. I really liked the performance of Zhora Taburkin. I will definitely review this performance. The scene with reconciliation with bandits did not hook me at all “The thief should be in prison.”
The film will find its audience, but I will not go there again.
I want to write my review about the film 'Bremen Musicians'. My husband is very fond of the cartoon ' Bremen musicians' and so decided to watch the film. Seeing the trailer for the movie didn’t expect anything. After watching the film, I was delighted. Yes, animals are made a little repulsive, but the main role is played not by them, but by Troubadour and the princess. Burunov in the role of the king is simply magnificent, especially their song with Lyapina. Aronova in the role of an atamance surprised me, but she played her role perfectly. Tikhon Zhiznevsky and Valentina Lyapina also picked up very well for their roles. Here is Khabensky in the role ' super detective' I honestly did not see in the sense that he was not revealed almost in any way, during the film I periodically forgot that he was there at all. The most important thing in the film is the songs. What is the magnificent song performed by a 10-year-old boy 'Ray of the Golden Sun'? Incidentally, after the film, they wondered if the actors sang in their own voices and were pleasantly surprised to learn that almost all the actors sing themselves. The main idea of the film, as other users write, is incomprehensible desires of Troubadour, as it is clear, before the death of his mother, little Troubadour promised her, to bring the song to people ' from a pure heart'. His life was hard, he spent at least 10 years in prison because of a woman he protected and thought would help him, and she just left him. It is clear that she is an evil atamansha and she is unlikely to help anyone, but firstly he saved her, she could just pay her debt, and secondly why then she did not abandon other children. In such a situation, it is difficult not to want revenge. The main idea of the film is that Troubadour was able not to lose himself on this path of revenge, but to return to the path of song, which he ' left' mother. Anyway, I really liked the movie. Everything is beautiful and colorful.
Bremen musicians The Movie - no one asked for it, but they did it anyway. Surprisingly, they did well in places. Strangely, if you add up the total timeline of all the cartoons about the “Bremen”, taking into account the horror of 2000, you will get exactly the same two hours. Accordingly, a logical question arises - why it was necessary to screen out and come up with something that was not in the original cartoons. This film is a hodgepodge of three cartoons about “Bremen”, but about everything in order.
I am truly pleased that our filmmakers have finally learned how to correctly select actors for roles. What's in "By Pike Order" that's here - all the actors are perfect for their roles. Separately, I would like to mention Sergey Burunov and Maria Aronov - it was great. The only mistress, in my opinion, is related to the detective. Konstantin Khabensky is not suitable for this role at all, and although he tried to pull his character out with acting, but alas. The main problem here is appearance. The detective in the “Bremen” is a kind of Joker in cartoons, if we talk about appearance, and that is why, as I think, Konstantin Khabensky is not suitable for this role.
As for Troubadour, here we will talk about otsebits. Complementing the story of the character with facts that were not in the original cartoons, and coming up with him almost a new biography is, of course, interesting, but the authors are very much too much. Instead of the usual bard with a guitar, we got no idea who. It is not clear whether he is a positive character or a negative character.
Now about the animals. If you close your eyes to their appearance, then in general they have no complaints. Especially amused Dmitry Dyuzhev in the image of a donkey. I still have a question about the cat. What they were not satisfied with the original cat, I never understood.
Now the most important thing is the songs. This is a very interesting situation. On the one hand, the original songs sound much better than those that were not in the original, but some of them were performed so that the hand involuntarily reached forehead. Original songs can cause a feeling of nostalgia for a cheerful childhood, and modern ones bring sadness and despondency.

Changing the original locations, a little magic and modern words clearly did not go to the benefit of the film.
Why bother? Adults are sobered up, a & nbsp; children will go a lot
One of my favorite childhood animated series directed by Inessa Kovalevskaya on wonderful music Gennady Gladkov. I was lucky to see his remake in these late New Year's days. I call them for a reason, it seems that most viewers, especially those who managed to attend the premiere of the picture on the first of January, frankly, after watching evaporated all alcohol from the body. I think irony is enough. Let's get to the point.
For some reason, the question immediately begs the question: "Is it necessary?" Personally, I can call the 1969 animated series (and, accordingly, its 1973 sequel) "great". There was everything that can delight the viewer: great music, characters, drawing, plot ... Why reproduce the great, even in a modern format, is there no fantasy to create more new, original? The question is rhetorical.
Alexey Necessary decided to take a risk, and it is worth noting that risk is a noble matter. I went to the premiere with a certain fear. The desire to see what the director could do with the source material, as he introduced the characters, so that it did not expose the creators of the picture in a bad tone, took over, and I went. I looked, I thought. Sudden desire - to urgently review the cartoon of Soviet production.
You know, I can't say I was disappointed. Cinema is quite pleasant, if you abstract from the fact that it was created based on the same masterpiece that conquered the hearts of millions of Soviet viewers in its time. If you do not find fault with the details, but just plunge into the plot, undisfigured by newfangled trends, enjoy really incredible views - and this is one of the most obvious advantages of the film, follow the good play of the cast, almost every representative of which, by the way, was picked up wisely, then the viewer has quite a good impression. But when we remember that this is a remake of the great , which when watching evokes incredible feelings of nostalgia, carefree childhood ... then you begin to pay attention to the details, whether you want it or not.
“Sorry, what happened to the animals?” Yes, those are the details... the characters... But why is it that they have presented an integral part of the story, a wonderful, good story about music and love? I do not argue that a significant part of the auditorium this could seem funny, especially to children and those who did not see the Bremen musicians, as they embodied in the life of the Soviet animators. My opinion on this is a significant flaw of the creators, which smoothly turns to disrespect. To the generation whose Soviet history evoked the most sincere feelings, to its director and animators. Honestly, I was scared. The very case when because of one, like a minor detail, can form an ambiguous impression of the whole picture. Not everyone. But I do.
The second and overall final flaw is the lack of good humor. The room spoke for itself. Smiles, positive emotions, and there was no laughter. Some laughs jumped from the adult generation, thanks to Maria Aronova and Sergey Burunov, who coped with their task very well. The children were silent. That's about it.
Without considering this New Year’s premiere as a remake, we can say that the picture has everything for a successful film distribution. Family, kind, incredibly musical story. Perhaps there is a soul in all this. I’m not going to judge the film as an adaptation of something great. People left the hall with positive emotions, but is this not the main thing in the magical New Year period?
Could it have been better? Of course you can . We took risks, we must have tried. For risk and applied work:

P. S. Don't scare me like that anymore. This is not the time.
Don't believe people's reviews. Make up your own mind.
From the moment we saw the trailer 'Bremen Musicians' we were looking forward to its release.
To be honest, negative reviews cooled our fervor, and then the weather is absolutely ' non-flying ' became... but, fortunately, the younger son said - Come! And we went. And not a bit of regret!
Because this is a really bright, dynamic, funny and interesting film for children and adults!
Evaluating this fairy tale, I keep in mind many children's films I have already watched, both Soviet and Western, as well as how they are evaluated by my modern children.
I want to say that no matter how much the older generation admired and did not like Soviet films and animation, but we must admit that modern children often find them boring and unattractive. My youngest 9-year-old son says so ' again you and your 80s'.
That’s why it’s great that the filmmakers decided to take our favorite old stories and remake them in a new way! After all, it helps to preserve in the new generation the cultural code & #39 of our country.
I will now turn to the immediate assessment of the merits of the painting.
The first is a very beautiful movie! Stunning landscapes, wonderful interiors of the palace, an authentic medieval town please the eye. Bravo to all those who worked on the visual component and on the editing!
Bravo for costumers too! They worked on the costumes and it is obvious. Each character's image is worked out and supplemented with high-quality details - street thieves made curves, yellow teeth and scars on their faces. The king has perfect, luxurious wigs and rich outfits! A talented couturier clearly worked over the princess dresses - so subtly they mixed modern cut with classic ' princess ' dresses! As someone passionate about fashion, I was very interested in looking at the details.
I especially want to celebrate animals. For some reason, there are many Heitiates. My children and I found them wonderful, funny, haracter and very organic! And when the princess dressed them, they began to look stunning, like real rock stars!
We liked the Dragon Rooster the most. He had some really funny lines. But the cat was charming, especially mocked by her howls. Probably the least liked Donkey, although he certainly also tried very hard to be nice.
In general, the animals here fit perfectly into the film, I would like them to be given even more attention, but unfortunately the film time is limited.
As for the selection of actors, in my humble opinion, the casting is very successful! I didn’t want to say about anyone that he is playing his role poorly or not in his place.
Troubadour performed by Tikhon Zhiznevsky is beautiful, especially in the form of a robber! Although, there was one moment when he cried in prison and I was not convinced, but I do not want to be naughty.
Valentina Lyapina wonderfully played a daring, but pretty princess! The most charming king performed by Sergei Burunov! And a charismatic detective, played by Konstantin Khabensky! I didn’t have time to enjoy each of these characters.
The secondary characters were also carefully selected and do not look just extras. Whether it’s a band of robbers, or a king’s courtier, or a variety of musician artists, each character was remembered for something, each was an individual. And that’s where I see the filmmakers’ great interest in their creation. They clearly put their soul into it!
The plot of the film surprised and pleased that they did not make a tracing from the cartoon, but brought a lot of their own. Thanks to this, it is not boring to watch even those who know the Soviet cartoon by heart.
We also enjoyed the new songs.
Whether it was a song of robbers with a rap or a song of a detective filled with funny shots, it all sounded fresh and at the same time close enough to the original, so as not to annoy. Here I believe that the composers working on the film found the perfect balance.
I agree with many that the new songs written for this film sound much simpler and not memorable at all. But it is very difficult to compete with Soviet masterpieces.
Separately, I would like to note the fact that I love our children's films - in them the villains almost always understand their mistakes in the end, correct or bear lenient punishment. It was in Cheburashka, and in the fairy tale about Emel, and in Baba Yaga.
This is a wonderful tradition of mercy in our cinema, coming from the USSR. I hope it will continue, because I never liked how cruelly villains are sometimes treated in Western fairy tales.
In the end, I can’t believe I’ve lived to see a Russian children’s movie! Previously, I could only be tempted by a Hollywood blockbuster or Disney animation.
But over the past few years, I have seen a real revival of children’s cinema in Russia! This is incredibly exciting!
We have already targeted 'The Flying Ship' and 'The Wizard of the Emerald City'. We look forward to seeing them on screen!
Beautiful picture and locations, frightening at first glance, but worked out, costumes of animals are the main plus of the film. The authors tried and they managed to create a sense of fabulousness simultaneously with realism for the world. However, even if there is a fairy tale, but the fabulousness is not so much fantasy or fantastic, then fabulous, smoothing reality, allowing you to fly in a small balloon or not crash when falling, but the magic is not declared, which at the end of the film will be safely forgotten. There is no point in praising songs, there is only one song, some songs are updated well, some in the original sounded better, but for a remake it is normal.
The film mainly repeats the plot of the first two parts of the Bremen musicians, but the imprint of the third part (the new Bremen ones) with their different ideological view is also noticeable. Whether the viewer needs such “actualization” is a debatable question. Can the amnesty for purely criminal individuals be justified ... perhaps leave without comment? So wait just to reshoot all the favorite Soviet musicians is not worth it!
The main problem of the film is that at one moment the writer drives the characters into a situation from which there is no way out, respectively, the solution of the situation looks extremely inorganic and breaks out of the logic of the world.
There is also a look of the actor in the camera, directly at the viewer, this breaking of the fourth wall in half of the cases in the film is not justified.
Well, personally, I was upset by the new family connection in the film, it kind of creates an attempt to reveal one of the supporting characters, but “the experiment is obviously unsuccessful”, because the depth of the character is not added, and the connection creates new questions.
Strong, bold and original – that’s how you make a movie.
Like many people, I was impressed with the images of the Bremen musicians from the trailer. In fact, and in the process of viewing about to the middle of the picture, the impression remained that the film is not bad, but the costume designer should be expelled. But only to the middle. And then came the realization that it’s not just animal costumes, it’s the whole film made in such a punk style, and if you look from this point of view, the costumes in it are quite organic and beautiful.
Of course, punk stylization of a children's fairy tale is very brave. But if we remember the original cartoon, then this is also a fairy tale shot in the style of rock that was then at the peak of popularity. In this regard, the punk style of the new film to some extent repeats the bold experiments of the late 60s of the authors of the original cartoon. To be honest, I am even a little sorry that the authors limited themselves to stylizing the visual series. Perhaps they should not be limited to the incomprehensible for the Middle Ages electric guitar and lighting the scene from a manual generator and transfer the action to a full-fledged alternative reality with alternative progress. In this case, the film, if implemented, could become a real cult. But we have what we have, and in any case it was very brave.
In addition to its original aesthetic, I felt in this film festival romance, personally very close to me. It is a pity that this direction has also not received further development in the picture - it seems to me that at present young people are less interested in such things, and it would be great to take it out of the virtual world to the world of tents and tourism.
I am afraid, however, that all this was a couple of generations late – if it had come out in the late 90s and early 2000s it would have been just fire, and now I do not know how much this will be understood by the current generation. I wouldn’t even say that I’m not sure which audience this film is intended for – children or middle-aged people – but maybe the second one will be much more understandable. I asked my daughter’s classmate (5th grade) what she thought about it – she said that it seemed like the work of the “King and Jester” that she likes, well, in general, it’s also good.
The plot of the film is original, only in general reminiscent of the plot of a classic cartoon and fairy tale. From a moral point of view, the plot of the film turned out to be much stronger than the classic “I want to marry a princess”. Here is the development of the character, and the consequences of the moral choice made and the all-conquering goodness and love. In general, everything that should be in a real fairy tale, which not only entertains, but also educates children. At the same time, many plot twists are quite unexpected, and even in cases where further development of events can be assumed until the last moment remains unclear whether the creators of the film did one way or another.
Perhaps the only thing that clearly did not like is the quality of the sound – in some scenes it turned into some kind of ear-beating noise, personally I would like the sound to be less loud, but cleaner. But it is quite possible that this is more a problem of a particular cinema than a movie.
Thus, the creators of the film creating their interpretation of the classic story were not afraid to experiment with almost everything: the plot, genre, style. And this is very commendable, the only way cinema can develop, the only way you can get real masterpieces. It is quite obvious that this is not a banal attempt to make money on the popular name, but real creativity. After all, making the film that the authors were at great risk for at least three reasons:
A fairy tale in punk style is bold and unusual in itself;
It is obvious that not everyone likes this style and it automatically limits the audience.
The modern generation may simply not understand such stylization.
And despite all this, they made the film the way they did, and it turned out very well!
Yes, after the first days of distribution, we already know that the film is going quite successfully, but, nevertheless, it was a risk. The release of such films shows that Russian cinema is not only alive, but also capable of active development. For this, the creators of this and other worthy Russian paintings, a huge human thank you and of course great creative success!
Disclaimer. I regard this as a separate work, it makes no sense to reshoot a well-known plot without changes.
Plot:
Overall, it’s a normal story to watch. These are all pluses.
I knew there was going to be kringe, but I thought it would be evenly ramasanized throughout the film, and there would be plenty to laugh about. Here, good (and even strong) scenes are interrupted by the kringe well, just the universal level. It's not funny, it's sad.
Obviously, from the picture of 6+ depth is not worth waiting, but I wanted to see at least ... tulips in the finale? And not just listen to the prayers of Troubadour to his mother.
The theme of freedom has become the theme of love. Base. But there is no hard teaching, no agenda of love and honor. (That’s actually a fairy tale.) Just superficial ' love wins' moment.
Director:
It's beautiful, you can't tell. The locations are interesting, the light is deep. There are no particularly fancy and fashionable techniques, but the picture is exhibited well.
The atmosphere of the fairy tale (or at least ' of the time ') is conveyed about nothing, probably due to the lack of any details.
Characters:
Animals are... They're scary to look at, so it's really hard to take all of these moral issues seriously.
People don't understand. The characters do not have a clear understanding of what they are doing and why. Only a detective is an ordinary hard worker who can think. And even if he acts according to the law, he understands for himself what is good and what is bad. The rest at the snap of their fingers forgive, score on dreams or simply put up with everything. The animals dream of a master in the person of Troubadour, but he is easily released to save the princess, and they themselves remain. Then maybe they wanted to be artists? Or did Troubadour want that? This is all very sad, especially for the story.
Applause for the actors. In moderation, theatrical, fabulous and simply beautiful.
Music:
Most tracks have added a little rock to the background - it sounds nice. New songs - naked pop ... why? why? Or everything goes well, but suddenly a familiar motif is interrupted by rap. It's probably an element of humor, but humor should play to the atmosphere, not kill it. I just wanted to close my ears and wait out the kringe. Sad kringe.
I was expecting more. More character disclosure, more immersion in the story, more details...
So what question does this work answer? - the only thing you can think about after watching.
3/10
It’s great to see children’s cinema reborn in Russia. After a failure of almost 30 years, fairy tales began to appear, where all the possibilities of modern film technologies were used. Great Rowe could not see such opportunities even in the most pink dreams, so there was a lot to think about, and then pull out pictures on the genius of acting and directing. It’s like the legendary physicist Rutherford said, “We didn’t have money, so we had to think.” Modern filmmakers have chic technical capabilities for creating children's fairy tale films. Just in the "Bremen Musicians" and before that in the "Pearl Bowl" we saw that they finally began to be used skillfully. Luxury work of production artists. My respects. Excellent work of those who were engaged in special effects (they are there, and they are not visible at the same time). Incredible just a genius operator and his friend installer, who pulled the picture to the highest level. The sound was plowing, and it's noticeable. The actors tried, and they even did well. Especially pity the man who played the donkey, who was running through the mountains dragging a cart with all the musical party (few people understand how hard it is even on the plain) - I only learned in the credits that it was Dyuzhev. In general, the work of the director is good - for children's cinema this is the minimum acceptable level. That is, it is not Rowe, but the director quite got his credit. Everything would be fine, but there are two giant BUTs that dropped the impression of the film, after which you will not watch it anymore and advise others.
BUT 1. What's in your head, guys? Who are the people who wrote the script? What are they reading? What are they using? There's a beautiful original story. Put it right there. Make an extended version of the movie. Why all these half-drug "new readings"? For what? For who? Well, you can not give birth to fresh ideas - take someone else's and embody it brightly and colorfully. This is a fiasco, gentlemen.
BUT 2. Who came up with the idea to combine the sweet, primitive and generally talentless pop from Fadeev with a luxurious genius original soundtrack, which is 40 years singing the whole country? Well, not if you have a composer and a songwriter, I understand. Take the original soundtrack and put it into the movie. Why try to repeat genius when your level is to dance at corporate parties? Shame, right. And well, just diluted - after all, the original soundtrack was stripped, and very unsuccessfully and incompetently. And again. There were Anofriev and Magomayev before. Now who prevented you from looking for people with such vocals - they definitely are. Who recruited these vocalists is a disgrace. Do you really not hear that?
The crisis of ideas is the scourge of modern cinema. The problem is solved simply - read, people, fairy tales, if you want to shoot a children's movie. Their tens of thousands of these fairy tales - my shelves are bursting with fairy tales of the peoples of the world. Folk tales, author's - a lot of ideas. The squalor of scripts and the crisis of ideas stem from the exhaustion and impoverishment of culture and general mediocrity. And if there is no basic strong idea, then any budget and any technically perfect job will not help you make a decent movie. Hollywood is a clear confirmation of this.
Anyway, shoot the stories further. Kids need to watch something. But shoot it is fairy tales, not these author's half-drugged cabbages for hundreds of millions.

I must say that the cartoon ' Bremen Musicians' was and remains my favorite. I've reviewed it 1,000 times, if not more. When I found out that the remake was coming out, I had mixed feelings, because our filmmakers can not always be a worthwhile product. However, curiosity prevailed.
I decided to go to the movie on the day of the premiere and I was satisfied. Seriously, I liked it. Not a masterpiece, of course, and to compare the film with the original is silly, but still it turned out very not bad. Nice picture, interesting musical numbers, funny jokes, references.
The kingdom looks truly fabulous, especially due to the colorful natural landscapes. The musicians have a very cool cart, I would ride one myself.
Now a little bit about the heroes and their performers:
Fun Troubadour - in the film he's not funny, but more honest. The hero has a difficult fate, I want to empathize with him. His personal qualities deserve respect. A real example for young people. Tikhon Zhiznevsky, the performer of the role, coped perfectly with his task.
The beautiful princess, but I didn't like Troubadura's beloved. Valentina Lyapina sometimes very quietly pronounces her lines, sometimes tarats. But the image of such a capricious and freedom-loving father’s daughter Princess is very suitable.
Stupid King - to be honest, I don't really like Sergey Burunov, because he's got too many lately, and in most of the projects where the actor is filmed, he does the same thing: yells and pukes, yells and pukes. But here he tried harder than usual, so it's one of his best roles.
Atamansha of the terrible forest robbers - ah, what a woman! She's been great since she first appeared! Maria Aronova catches her charisma, it is impossible to take your eyes off her. Now Atamanshi has a lot of screen time, and it plays into the hands of the film. So to speak, the trump card of the film.
A brilliant detective, I don't even know. Konstantin Khabensky is an ambiguous personality for me, he, like Burunov, just plays himself in some projects. I was not particularly impressed when watching. But I liked his big smile, as in the original, and his mystery. I want to know more about the character.
Musicians - even with the release of the first trailer, many began to hay animals, pointing to them ' scary' appearance. I completely disagree with these comments, outwardly I really liked the animals. Such a look of musicians just creates the atmosphere of a fairy tale. I'm sure if instead of masks and makeup computer graphics, it would be much worse. Here, at least, I look at animals and realize that no hand will pass through them, that light will fall on them correctly, etc. If animals were humanized, it would be boring. Many forget the fact that even in the original cartoon wandering artists are our smaller brothers. Of the four, I liked the rooster the most.
“The world is not fair to me – this must be corrected.”
(C) Troubadour
It has been 55 years since the release of the legendary cartoon about wandering musicians. Genius songs from there we are happy to sing the whole family and the premiere was really waiting. What to say, the expectations were justified by 110%! Everyone came out of the room in complete delight: both children and adults. I will give the film a well-deserved 9/10, and below I share my personal impressions.
Trubadur’s backstory really fits the character I remember from the original cartoon. In the performance of Tikhon Zhiznevsky, he just falls in love with himself. The line with the mother is normal, it works more positively. Well thought of with the theme of Troubadour ("Golden Sun Ray") and the magical power of music. From here comes the understanding of the magic of this world.
Speaking of magic: Princess Valentina Lyapina is just a charmer, my personal crash. Her character reminded me of Rapunzel, who also escaped from the castle and talked to animals. Beast musicians were given more personal qualities. Other secondary heroes have added more depth. King Burunov is gorgeous, an exact hit in the image. Detective Khabensky and the robber Aronova acquired new facets of characters. All the actors are in their seats. And that's good.
The picture is juicy and colorful, moderately cartoonish - the very thing for the adaptation of the musical. Repeated almost all the cult scenes, but with other eyeliners to them in the framework of the general plot, so that many scenes played with new colors. We brought a lot of interesting details like the Woodstock Film Festival or the detective’s magic glasses. In some moments even gave a cool action (as in the scene with the chase), which from this project I did not expect from the word at all.
The music in the musical deserves special attention. In the film sounded almost all the original songs + specially wrote a couple of new. On the general background, they looked decent, but immediately after the session you will not remember a word or motive. What can not be said about the classic, which was pleasant to see and hear in the new performance. Very pleased with the carbon monoxide "Song of the Guard" and rocker "We stopped by you for an hour." In general, the rocker vibe of Bremen musicians helped to modernize the cartoon and gave us the beautiful Trubadur skin Rammstein. Black is much better than red.
I will scold the film only for two moments: the song of the Detective and the song of the Robbers (“We are talking Bjaki-Buki”). Both are shadows compared to the originals. The main "Buka" just hoarse the original desk, very weakly hoarse ... Although the idea of adding rap there and for a cool picture I want to forgive. But it is impossible to forgive Khabensky, or rather his brilliant detective, who lacked grotesqueness and anger to sound in this song at least close to the original. He is too kind in life (Khabensky himself), and it works perfectly in the second part of the film, but the scene of the appearance of the detective slightly spoiled the overall impression. Fortunately, after a session, you can always turn on the original in headphones and sing along to it all over the street.
But the main question after leaving the cinema remains open: “Where does the cord from the electric guitar lead?”
The movie is not a cartoon. The movie turned out to be kind, sincere, funny and touching!
So, on the eighteenth of December, I attended the premiere of the family film “Bremen Musicians”, based on the fairy tale of the Brothers Grimm and everyone’s favorite Soviet cartoon.
This movie should not be compared to the classics. In the film "Bremen Musicians" sounds brilliant, everyone familiar from childhood music Gennady Gladkov, in the center of the plot - favorite characters. Animal costumes are interesting. For this kind of film, graphics are unprofitable. And if Alexei Needy painted animals exactly like in a cartoon, the picture would look absurd and ridiculous. It is banal, but you can not say otherwise: the film is not a cartoon! Plastic makeup, animatronic elements in masks and tails, the costumes themselves - all this is made jewelry, new. A low bow to the artists who withstood the colossal load and stunningly portrayed their characters, as well as a special thanks to all who worked on complex costumes and makeup.
Obviously, a fairy tale film is deeper in meaning than a cartoon. Directors shoot such a movie not in order to vulgarize the classics, but in order to add a modern sound, bring new storylines and tell a full story of the characters. Alexey Needy in his film builds uniquely beautiful shots, in his film everything looks harmonious: the storylines are conducted without sharp jumps, the staged part with fascinating dances fits perfectly into the action, the combination of modernity and bygone eras looks organic. In general, respect to Alexey Necessary and the film crew.
Now let’s move on to the musical part, which is very good. Here again it is worth remembering that there are elements of modernity in the film, and this implies both new compositions and changes to good old songs. The change is qualitative, thanks to Maxim Fadeev. Together with my family and friend, I sang my favorite songs under my nose for several days. It was a little unexpected to hear rap from the mouth of Atamanshy, but the brilliant Maria Aronova even did it gracefully.
Of course, one of the main advantages of this film is the cast. That unique case when the best artists gathered in the picture, in place of which it is difficult to imagine someone else. Everyone has strong voices, expressive eyes, nice faces, good plastic. With great dramatic talent, everyone was able to show their vocal data. At the premiere, it was clear that the work was treated with special trepidation and excitement: childhood memories and a sense of responsibility to the public are not going anywhere. Maybe that’s why the film “Bremen Musicians” turned out so kind, sincere and funny.
I cannot but mention the key semantic plot lines: real friendship, fatherly love, repentance of evil, sincere love and the triumph of justice. The soul becomes warm when you understand that the animals in a person have found a real friend, that behind the apparent disagreements there are very subtle and tender feelings of the father to his daughter and daughter to his father, which manifest themselves in a difficult moment, that the Atamance’s horror, leading to the whole of Bremen, actually craves love, that love has no barriers, that the brilliant detective corrects a big mistake, helping the heroes to come to a happy ending. Although it seems to me that the line of the detective was not twisted and left without a logical end.
The highest rating ' Bremen musicians' I consider the reaction of children in cinemas (verified twice): their burning eyes with delight, sincere laughter, genuine interest and touching experiences for the heroes.
“Promise me that you will sing from the heart.”
The actors and scenery are excellent, the script lacks thoughtfulness
The review is neutral, because there are many positive aspects in the film, but there are two negative ones - bigger and smaller.
The good thing first.
A good, even excellent set of actors - Zhiznevsky, Khabensky, Dyuzhev, Burunov.
Princess - Lyapina, an actress unknown to me, liked, reminded Scarlett Johannsen.
High-quality scenery of the medieval town, stunning, very picturesque field shooting. Good costumes - for example, the guards really looked like in the cartoon, it was so nice! All characters and scenery look good and it is not distracted, and completely immersed in the world of the film.
Animal musicians of Bremen look pretty good. The baby wasn't scared at all. Playing with body, voice - a great solution, in my opinion.
Now for the minuses.
It seems that at the beginning of the film still had a normal screenwriter, and then he refused, and the director and the cameraman decided to finish the script. Well, either the director and the cameraman were not able to develop the ideas that were laid down initially, but simply molded from old songs something ' tolerable'. So the goal was not to tell a story, but to use all the songs.
In the beginning, there are a lot of stretches, which you make a discount, because this is the beginning and the authors need to somehow explain their imaginary world. So, the plot is that the troubadour in childhood wrote songs and brilliantly played the acoustic guitar, then spent many years in prison, and when he came out, he became friends with animal musicians. The latter without a human friend can not win the audience, no one wants to watch them, because they are animals.
The first questions immediately arose. Musicians are talking animals, but no one wants to watch them. People would first rush to watch the performance of talking animals, this is unusual!
Two. Animals are musicians, but they don't have a song, not even a folk song. Do they play the instruments well, but never play anything?
Troubadour spent 15 years in prison, where he had no instruments, but went out and instantly learned to play the electric guitar (!) as a real player.
It looks, to be honest, like blunders that an experienced screenwriter could avoid or at least disguise. For example, show a guitar in the camera. But for a normal screenwriter, unfortunately, did not fork out.
Holding her heart together, she forgave her introductory blunders and continued to watch. Still, the action begins to develop, there are comic moments, good dialogue, believe Zhiznevsky, animals fascinate, the princess lights up, the king too. However, by the end, the blunders do not weaken, but continue (I will not list in detail, so that there were no spoilers, but, for example, the robbers were not sent to prison, but left in the square; instead of freeing a bunch of armed guards, one peaceful boy was released, the character locked himself up, why? and so on).
All of this could have been forgiven if there had been a clear development of the main characters and the story, but it didn’t happen.
The finale of the arch for the robbers seems to completely contradict their desires and essence, the motivation and explanations of the detective look like incoherent nonsense, which is impossible to understand if you remember what the character said last time. The king swims like a fish, then suddenly he cannot swim. And so on.
However, for a young child who does not remember what the characters said half an hour before, but perceives the film 'Here and Now' everything sounded fine - costumes, scenery, fun adventures.
Music: Gladkov's music is excellent (and even familiar from childhood), but new songs are not remembered at all; poems are so much ' neutral' and standard, as if they were written by a neural network. It doesn’t fit with old songs.
And why did the well-known songs put subtitles, as for karaoke?
Seeing the coloring subtitles, the desire to sing with the film completely disappeared.
Watching movies is fun only with young children. Older children and adults will catch their eyes.
My wish for the filmmakers is to get a good screenwriter! This greatly affects the success of the film.
A good composer would do well. For some reason, some things are at an excellent level, while others significantly sag. For a movie to be a hit, nothing has to sink. This movie could have been very successful! It was normal. Pity.
Well, what can you say in this film, mixed everything that is possible and impossible.
The genre jumps from stage to stage. We started with tragedy, showing the terrible death of Trubadur’s mother, and the house burned to the ground. In the first minutes of the film, the main character becomes not only an orphan, but also a BOMJ due to his hand-to-hand. Without thinking twice, the authors added crime, and put the hero in prison, for no special reason. Of course, there is only one way from such a background - to places not so remote.
Next, we have a semi-adventure soap drama, where the characters are flat, boring and uninteresting. Especially distinguished princess, Troubadour and the company of kringe animals.
To say that animals are terrible is to say nothing. The only thing that made me laugh was my own idea that the authors fantasized a musical group under the influence of the famous phrase ' we had 2 packets of herb, 75 tablets of mescaline, 5 brands of potent acid. ..' The human eyes of a dog, a cat, a donkey and a rooster look frightening.
This kind of makeup would be appropriate in theater, but it looks bad on screen. It was my imagination that with the human component, it would be interesting to split the animals at the end of the film into real human artists. Then human eyes and bipedalism would be justified, and such a move would add fairy tales and magic, which I, as a spectator, lacked.
Of course, the script and images are lame. The main characters wander without a special purpose, and the reason for their further love is completely unclear. The princess is a blackmailer. Hero conspirator.
It should be noted that some scenes of the film are like a musical, which could not be bad if it was holistic, and not just inserts from songs. The songs themselves sound good, and dilute the boredom on the screen along with cute costumes.
The only one who tried to save the film was Sergey Burunov. The scene where the king goes to bathe to the song ' Oh early, the guards get up' left a pleasant impression.
Maria Aronova, who plays a witch, a bandit and at the same time Mother Teresa with orphans, liked the scene where she dances with her gang in a cave against the background of fire generators. Interesting choreography, shooting, musical composition suddenly at the end turns into rap, acquiring a new sound.
In general, the film is not recommended for viewing. We went to watch the New Year holidays with our family, waiting for a light, kind musical film that gives hope ' The night will be clear...'
But we got a strange product, where the authors diligently escalate the drama, turning the film into a low-grade tearpler. Then the robbers chase, then all the heroes are burned in their brim. Naturally, the characters do not cause sympathy, because everything is mixed, mixed, pulled from pieces. I repeat that images are a complete vinaigrette: a hero-zek who wants to sing for people, and heal with a song with Butyrka motifs; a heroine who should be naive and pure, uses lies and blackmail; Mother Teresa, who puts children on trial; incompetent animals who compose songs on the go in the style & #39; nu-gru-meow' for some reason, become winners of the festival. I don't see the point of disassembling an extra.
It's not funny jokes. What a joke, though. Don't forget the beginning.
I looked at the clock every now and then, waiting for the end. The movie was almost two hours long.
I know the script work of Alexei Needy and it always seemed to me high-quality. Being a writer at the same time is not easy. Up until the appearance of outright blunders.
Directing is a failure, the film is delayed, and the make-up and the concept of upright-walking beast musicians (how not to say ' mutants') the size of a man in this interpretation is terrible. It is clear that this was done for greater nostalgia, so that they would not be blamed as ' Disney' and you could cut more money. But the same ' Disney' originally built his popular cartoons with a big change in the original plots and nothing, no one complained (just now they have such terrible scripts that it is impossible to watch, the changes have nothing to do with it). The cat is a kringe, the donkey seems like nothing, but there is no scene anywhere about his great power, it becomes somehow unclear why he drags the cart, pouting for everyone. And in general, everything is very fragmented. Many scenes are not directed, just guess what is happening, there is no mood.
I really liked the action scene, apparently staged by trick specialists. Good work.
New songs added are a nightmare. It would seem that the ideas of the songs were initially not bad, but in the end made terribly clumsy. How did you do that? I don't understand.
All this is the level of the New Year’s song fairy tale (such TV channels used to do) – to cut the budget, add old popular songs, show it on TV on New Year’s Eve and it itself. Still, to correct the bug with the expulsion of bandits from the city - they were not caught and convicted in the beginning, how could they be expelled? It would be more logical for them to leave for fear of capture.
In the film itself, there are many references and Easter eggs from ' You are beasts, gentlemen!' to the festival 'Burning man', but somehow they do not belong there. I’d love to hear about something childish if the movie was for kids.
I would like more good movies, and not just cut film budgets and squeeze money from the nostalgia of the audience.
'Bremian musical' remake, in a new way revived nostalgia.
Despite the fact that I was born in the 21st century, I grew up mainly on Soviet cartoons. Of course, the fact that our film thinkers picked up the fashion for remakes of the already beloved classic paintings, I was very pleased, because Western Disney trends went somewhere wrong. Cartoon ' Bremen musicians' I watched even in adult adolescence, so I liked it, although as a child I did not understand much about the plot, but the songs and atmosphere were already in the soul then. As for the film, it can be said, ' modernized' a look at the values that were mentioned in the cartoon. Although, I must say, the trailer somehow understated my expectations, since the full picture of all the circumstances was lost when cutting the frames, it was not quite clear what remained traditional there, and what was “modernized” & #39; But with a full view of the film, my doubts about the appropriateness of some strange at first glance innovations dispelled.
1) Artistic design. The main difficulty of the remakes is the preservation of the classical plan, but some of it 'rebranding'. Here we are presented with the already formed history of the heroes of the same fairy tale, whose moral component is deeper and more complex. Troubadour is not just one of the wandering musicians who quietly traveled with the team around the world, and then at first sight fell in love with the princess, around whom the whole plot was built. The film is bigger. The characters have motivation, and although not everyone has it fully revealed, it is still mentioned one way or another. I liked that they showed the scene of meeting Trubadur and the Bremen musicians and the formation of their group. Trubadur’s backstory and his past become a test of the purity of his musical dreams, so he turned out not to be as romantic and cheerful a hero as in the Soviet original. This departure from the original was only beneficial. After all, it was music that helped him not to give up failure and sing again and again.
2) The musical part. The most important advantage of the film is that it is the music that is not the first plan in the film, but at the same time some traditional compositions are played in a new way, in different circumstances with a changed storyline, which was personally perceived perfectly by me. The songs of the heroes are more than just a musical accompaniment, it is already the leading force of the film. Of course, in many respects, nostalgia for the cartoon and its songs plays a decisive role, but just here it causes new emotions due to modern sound and arrangement. From the performance with the song ' We stopped by for an hour' I had goosebumps, how energetically strong was the performance with this song in the film. The musical core of the whole picture was the previously underestimated serenade & #39; Ray of the Golden Sun' which in the first frames was performed first by the boy alone, then they sang with their mother. In the future, Troubadour will perform the song with the Princess, other members of their team will join them, and then all the listeners. As a result, this song will play a key role in uniting all the characters. A brilliant idea that breathed new life into the film, showing how important music plays in life, it can really change the world for the better.
(3) Registration of actors and acting work. Like many others, watching the first trailer was a bit embarrassed by the incarnation of animals. I thought that the filmmakers would just add computer graphics like Garfield, Leo from the Chronicles of Narnia & #39, etc., but there were, I thought, real actors with lively masks. But surprisingly, when watching the movie, it didn’t catch your eye. The animals then began to look harmoniously with the heroes. You just get used to it. The actors, in my opinion, all coped with their role, were able to add a more expanded palette of emotions to the characters, which perfectly combined with the plan of the film.
To summarize, we can say that the idea of the remake was perfectly decorated. The film expanded the boundaries of the musical and moral component of the cartoon.
Seven Leaders Have a Child – Loser
"Bremen Musicians" by A.Nuzhny
It has long been clear: about the staples of history, the connection of generations and the legacy of traditions is for pitching and advertising stories. Reality is not romantic, but pragmatic. The darkness of remakes of popular Soviet films in the 21st century is explained by the hope of doubling the box office: the older generation will go to a modernized meeting with youth, taking with them the young (old themes with new artists). Perhaps only Cheburashka escaped mass curses, having received single ones. Other attempts were anathema, both old and small. That did not stop attempts to reshoot and spoil the beloved classic.
And do not forget that the Soviet cartoon directed by Inessa Kovalevskaya was also not original: the basis was an old fairy tale of the Grimm brothers. And re-screening an old fairy tale is not the same as re-making recent films. The Grimm brothers are completely missing Troubadour. The German fairy tale and the Soviet cartoon are united only by animals - musicians and robbers. All other plot and plot lines were invented on Soyuzmultfilm. So we still have a remake of the cartoon, not a new adaptation of the old fairy tale.
Animated “Bremensky...” took the audience captive not only by the big songs of Gennady Gladkov. In the guise of painted characters in the halls of Soviet cinemas penetrated not too Soviet, and from this even more attractive, ideas of hippies. Parents of hipparies, having survived a military half-starved childhood, most appreciated satiety, peace and comfort. Their children, who did not know war, protested against philistinism, well-organized life and served tables. Their carpet is a flower glade, their walls are pines are giants, and the roof is blue. It was in music, in poetry, and in drawing. Klesh pants, a denim stitch on the shirts, a mini-dress of the princess, flower wreaths on the head – all this instantly became symbols of a generation that tore for freedom in the woods and fields with guitars. And the sun is full of head. In this regard, the creators of Bremensky 2023 faced a fundamental question: how to saturate their picture, given that for half a century, the ideas of hippies naturally moved from the category of “fashionable, super-relevant” to the category of “retro, mothballed”? Kovalevskaya’s cartoon was the manifesto of a generation “let’s be like butterflies closer to nature.” The film Necessary became a self-portrait of the hipster generation.
Hipsterism is an eternal positive. And extreme superficiality in everything - in feelings, thoughts, actions. “The main thing is not to bother” is the motto of hipsters. So, Troubadour, orphaned at a tender boyhood, spends his adolescence in prison. There are no traces of early orphanhood, prison youth, musical giftedness on the face even a shadow. He comes out of prison like our contemporaries come out of a barbershop. He clearly needs a glass of smoothie and is ready to take part in the hackathon. A musical hackathon is already in full swing on the square in front of the royal palace. The participants are not programmers, but musicians. But, as befits the hackathon, solve a common task: to cheer the sad princess. The princess is a hipster like everyone else. She is called to a music festival, and the king-father of the castle does not let go. And so the princess - 2023 rips off all her clothes in front of her close subjects. God's scumbag. The film was released during the Christmas holidays, when the whole country was discussing “Naked party at Ivleeva”. In this context, the princess’ negligee only emphasized the heroine’s belonging to the circle of our contemporaries, fluttering from one heppening to another. And living only with this flutter.
Then everything will be in words and nothing in views. Heroes will talk about love, betrayal, family life, the memory of the deceased mother and the need to improve this world with beautiful music. Words will not be backed by anything. I mean, at all. But this is the rule of good hipster tone: talk about your own suffering, not bothering with these sufferings. When did Troubadour and Princess fall in love? - Yeah, Dog knows. The Dog doesn't know either. Difficult decision: how to equalize characters - people with heroes - animals, the creators decided with the help of incredibly shaggy makeup on the faces of the actors. Irina Gorbachev, Dmitry Dyuzhev, Roman Kurtsin and Askar Nigamedzyanov are deprived of the opportunity to work out anything with facial expressions or energy of views. Their eyes can barely be seen from under the rubble of wool. The makeup is shocking, but not emotional. Cat, Dog, Donkey and Rooster are not cute and touching animals, but frighteningly, showy creatures. Trubadur's final words, "We're a family," are as meaningless as anything else in the film. Family with who? With that gang of Frankenstein ghouls? Well, well. Is it any wonder that with a full audience, the film was held in depressing silence? No sighs, no laughs. What's to laugh at? Remark of the Dog about the music festival: “And I have already marked everything here” – the pinnacle of humor in the picture.
The music of Gennady Gladkov in the film was complemented by the compositions of Max Fadeev. I won't say anything. But try 15 minutes after watching something new. I bet you can't.
Bad feelings appeared in the first second. Stamps of the film studio, TV channel, investors appeared on the screen, equipped with transcripts “Leader of film production”, “Leader of television broadcasting”, “Leader of the banking sector”. It’s like hypnotizing the audience: you’re doomed to see a masterpiece. The suggestion that amateur art is an original work of art is the only thing in which the Russian film industry has managed to significantly advance in recent years. In everything else: emptiness and worn things.
Even at the trailer stage, the film seemed very dubious to me. The idea of filming one of the favorite Soviet cartoons is very good, but the animals in the trailers looked, to put it mildly, cranky, unnatural and even creepy. As a result, they went to the film almost by accident, because there were no tickets for another film, and I wanted to go to the cinema.
I am glad that everything turned out this way, and that my (and not only my) doubts were not justified. The movie was absolutely gorgeous! But you need to take into account that it should be perceived exclusively as an unpretentious fairy tale, because there are a lot of conventions, inefficiencies, scenery, giving something cartoon (and this is by no means bad). Yes, at all, none of the heroes (except for some reason atamanshi) have no names: Troubadour, Dog, Cat, Donkey, Rooster, Detective, etc. And although the film is not New Year’s, but it is on the New Year’s Eve that such a fairy tale with favorite songs goes just hurrah!
If you perceive the film in this way, then you can get a mountain of pleasure from it and at some point find that you yourself sing along with the characters.
In general, the songs in my opinion modernized (slightly) very well, added a little rock, wrote a couple of new songs. Everything was shot and executed at a fairly high level. I especially liked the landscapes: mountains, forests, rivers. Amazing! Special respect to the creators for the fact that there are not so many computer graphics here, and animals are played by actors in makeup (!). And it looks very good (in the movie itself, although the trailers are much worse for some reason). Well, plus the authors for getting into the images (Troubadour and the king in general, in my opinion, perfectly suited).
Of the minuses, I can only note the lack of a big final musical number during the denouement (yes, there was a song about robbers, but I was waiting for a little different), not very appropriate rap from the gang of atamanshy (although my personal dislike of rap probably says here) and suddenly flew into the swamp atam (it seems clear why it happened, but how exactly... it was left off the scene). But it's just small things, just nitpicking.
What's the bottom line? It’s a great family movie that you can (and I recommend) go to. It’s like Cheburashka: I expected the worst, but it turned out great. And considering that now there is an unexpected boom in the adaptation of Soviet cartoons and fairy tales, I am only happy. If only the quality, soulfulness, meaning and careful attitude to the original were at the level, because this is the most important thing, and not huge box office fees.
Now the film "Bremen Musicians" is shown in the cinema. Maybe sometime in the fall you could see their teaser and trailer. When I first saw the visual decision that artists made, I christened this film aesthetically a failure. So, by the way, many thought: it was recorded that the trailer to a greater extent caused negative emotions in the public.
During this New Year holidays, I decided to go on a synematic binge and go to almost everything in the cinema, including the “Musicians of Bremen”.
1. General information. New Year's film-concert (this genre is close to the musical, but below I will describe why it did not reach the full musical). It was directed by Alexei Necessary (I lose weight, Loud Communication, Feedback, New Trees, etc.). With the support of the Fund, the cinema spent 1.2 billion rubles, filmed 5 months ago in the North Caucasus.
2. The cast is one of the main reasons why I went with a light heart. Khabensky, Aronova, Peresild, Borunov, Irina Gorbacheva gave hope that they would be talented. Acquitted. It is especially interesting to see Maria Aronov. She is both in the theater and in the cinema to a greater extent a comedic actress, a type of strong Russian-Soviet woman, and here she is. Finally, you can look at Aronova, who could take the role of Calypso in a trilogy about Pirates of the Caribbean.
3. It's a concert film, not a musical, because it didn't work out. The filmmakers allowed a large number of formalities for the sake of dynamism and colorfulness, killing the logic of the passage of time. In addition, many musical numbers are not “organically fit into the circumstances of the scene”, and exist not metaphorically. That is, in this concert film, they sing, not because it is an artistic decision of a particular scene, but because in the plot the hero is now on stage and he needs to sing. This greatly simplifies the film and many of the negative reactions you will read and hear from viewers are caused precisely by the fact that the film is not quite a film and seems superficial.
4. The ugly costumes you get used to and fascinated with. Rare for the big screen types of erupting Elbrus. Sometimes quite bold musical numbers. Funny curves of comedic characters. The nostalgia effect. It was I who listed the honest arguments to see this film in the movies.
5. The last argument in favor: most likely you will come to the full room. It's rare luck afterward. I am fascinated by the fact that people go to the movies. People laugh together. And at the end of the session, we all clapped to the beat – it was our choice of unity and kindness. The film is not 10/10, but probably 6/10. But as a leisure weekend winter is a great opportunity to smile.
Go to the movies, choose the movies, think about the movies.
Bremen Musicians 2024 is beautifully shot, expensive, but garbage.
Plot.
All viewing there was a feeling that the script was written by a neural network based on the cartoon. What consistently worked in the original, here turned inside out and diluted with nonsense. Absolutely unnecessary lines, not logical actions, and scenes that by their absurdity weather all seriousness.
Music.
In fact, what is beautiful the original, and what is bad remake. The new songs are bland, and are a sublimate of all popular music. The old ones have been remade to a new sound, which is very bad. Then they are shortened and do not reach even to a minute, then the roaring rocky snooze drowns out the vocals, then rap will not be inserted.
Visual
The picture is very beautiful. Landscapes of mountainous Russian republics are beautiful, the scenery is textured and expensive, as well as costumes. The atmosphere of a fabulous European suburb from the fairy tale of the Brothers Grimm is recreated very well.
Actors
Worst part of this movie. Let's start with animals. I don’t know who thought of recruiting enough good actors and canning them under layers of fur and animatronics, but this is the most pointless waste of this film. You will never know Dyuzheva, Kurtsina and Gorbachev, but they play a children's morning. The combination of the effect of an ominous valley and the squeezing of bad tick-tokers creates a hellish mixture of shame, which you want to quickly see. Actors aren't better people either. Khabensky seemed to be in a binge during filming, Burunov forgot that he plays the king, not the policeman from the ruble, and Lyapin disgustingly overplays. The only ones who evoke sympathy are Tikhon Zhiznevsky and Maria Aronova.
Bottom line.
The film itself is a dull, noisy, shameful and never entertaining product. It's a shame for lost potential. To patch up the script, turn it into a cartoon, make normal songs and cut it down to an hour and a half would be a gun. In the meantime, this is the result. If you run the original cartoon in headphones at home, put a saucepan on your head and hit it with a rollercoaster for 2 hours, then the impressions will be the same as from this movie. It is better to review the classics, the pleasure is more and free.
The princess is like a princess, with such appearance only in fairy tales to play (remember Alyonushka from Morozko), although I sincerely wish Valentina Lyapina a bright acting career.
Troubadour 'Thunder ' good on all sides. It's really nice to look at a man, it's good that we have such examples of the main characters.
Konstantin Khabensky, Sergey Borunov and Maria Aronova are so organic in their roles that it is difficult to imagine anyone else in their place.
Separate respect 'Animals' and their makeup artists. It is very difficult both physically and actorly to live the face of the face. Very cool.
Costumes - fire, scenery - fire, species - incredible beauty, and the arrangements are wonderful.
I am afraid that those who are waiting for the repetition of the immortal classics may be disappointed.
I’m not waiting, I think that some changes in the plot were more beneficial, but why none of the classic songs were played completely in the film?
And the two main Bremen songs? All right again ' the ray of the Sun is golden' albeit under strange circumstances, but almost completely fulfilled.
But why is it from 'Songs of Friends' there is almost nothing left and it sounds at the very end? Well, why?
The film could breathe new life into these beautiful songs.
But it didn't work.
Good movie.
But it will not be a new classic, it will not be revised to the holes.
I'm sorry about the chance.
At first not bad, and then the writers decided that and so
After watching the trailer, I realized that it would be an experiment, the creators wanted to update the classics. I don’t mind, so on the second day of January we went to the movie with the whole family. And it all started really well, revealed the story of Troubadour, a great shooting, included the lyrics in the songs as in karaoke, so that people were comfortable singing (although I was looked at disapprovingly, but I sing well, and the creators did?)
But after the appearance of the animals, everything fell apart. God, they have terrible graphics, that's forgiven if the story itself is foldable. But the film broke into some incoherent novels, old songs ceased to sound to the place, and new ones did not save the situation. As a result, it is not clear: if this is a children's film, what does it teach? The old cartoon taught that it wasn’t wealth that mattered, friends mattered. There's no morality here. Characters act illogically and unjustifiably. If this is a movie for everyone, the story didn’t work out at all. It's just not interesting to watch.
As a result, it's not a movie. It's an attempt to raise money by parasitizing nostalgia. As an adult, I wouldn’t take kids to the movie.
2 out of 10
To the start and a good shot. I wish I could get my money back.
A lot to expect from the film with the title ' Bremen musicians'. The magic that brings you back to your childhood.
In this case (for me personally) such magic did not happen in a complex, but it just happened a good movie. So to say it's an offshoot on the subject. I want to talk about the film, and I want to go to review it.
Thoughts on items:
1) The appearance of the Dog, Cat, Donkey and Rooster was alarming even in the trailer, but this visual solution turned out to be quite organic and lookable.
But it is still strange why the creators did not follow the obvious path: to present Bremen musicians as ordinary people with similar nicknames. Given the strong cast of the beast characters, it is not known which option would be more profitable. Masks, unfortunately, do not allow you to enjoy acting to the fullest.
2) The film atmosphere. It seems that the authors caught a balance between a children's fairy tale and the desire to make a dark fantasy. It's not one thing or the other. Which is good. It does not look familiar to the ordinary eye, as something really new, not template. But fans of a classic genre will not see the expected.
(3) For me, the biggest oddity was music. In such a movie, you expect your favorite songs ... and they are, but they are not enough. As if such musical potential could be used on a larger scale. Including new compositions, which are given a decent timekeeping, which is risky, because the viewer of new songs does not know. Not to mention that the new songs are memorable. Yes, there is music, but I wanted more.
(4) The acting is great. Separate wow Maria Aronova and (previously unknown to me) Tikhon Zhiznevsky.
In my opinion, only Valentina Lyapina was in the role of a princess. She turned out too spoiled, because the princess must also have charm, so that Trubaduru had something to fall in love with.
(5) Shooting, picture and editing of very high quality. This is an aesthetic pleasure.
(6) The script itself is well thought out in places, not so much in places. We fell down at the end. There are extra moments along the lines of Atamance and the King at the end of the film. There is a number of not clear to the viewer motivation of the characters, which is taken from nowhere (for example, the action of the detective).
