Anario Mammadov, as an author, is unknown to me, because he mainly shoots domestic TV series. I had the opportunity to get acquainted with its full meter, the viewing of which sold me castes in the faces of Maximova and Kurtsyn. It was a romantic comedy about the important.
Sometimes the mainstream segment of our rental can please quite sane statement on a particular topic. Here, the cornerstone is intersex relationships and the governing idea that the most important thing in marriage is to talk. All the problems from omissions and banal avoidance of each other. I like that the authors once again directly say that a career is a career, but family should be above all else. I loved the way the script was written: for the sake of camera and real-time events, the entire exposition was thrown out, which plays no role in the story. Funny gags and humoresques, pleasant cast, as well as a small timekeeping did their job - I enjoyed it and at the same time did not get tired. I caught a little rhyme from Molinaro's "Left of the Elevator." If you like the classic Richard movie, this one will come.
Acting work is excellent: Polina Maksimova and Roman Mayakin give a performance, which is both funny and sad. Once again, Roman Kurtsyn flew into the background, who plays the same Roman Kurtsin from film to film. I can’t say anything about Jan Koshkin except that the stereotypical “capital Barbies” have shaken, but here it is appropriate in the context of history. The camera work and installation are good, although it would be strange to spoil something in this form. I am glad that the picture was shot in Open Matte. It feels like I didn’t plan to go out and drive straight away. Post-production is good. It sounds great, it's well dubbed in the studio.
“The Maldives Can Wait” is a modern Russian film that may seem like a typical work that requires you to skip and move on, but if you get acquainted with this work, it is unlikely to disappoint you. It is not a stupid and relevant statement about marriage and relationships in a young family.
8 out of 10
Anario Mammadov’s film about love, people’s relations to each other and what to do if feelings fade.
Plot: a couple, in life and career, suddenly realizes that they are experiencing a family crisis.
Denis is no longer interested in his wife and finds new sympathy. Eva, a successful lawyer, accidentally learns that her husband has a new increase and solves the issue directly takes her husband hostage, binds him with tape and he realizes that nothing is possible to do.
Separately, it is worth saying that the film has a detective line and a character, a positive person, a burglar, Roman Kurtsin, throughout the film performs such tricks in the frame, just incredibly interesting to watch.
Roman Mayakin withstood his image and role, which requires patience and endurance.
A bright image of Yana Koshkina, adequately coped with the role.
It is very interesting to observe the development of events and it is worth noting that this project is an incredibly good scenario, in which there is room for both laughter and sadness.
Dialogues are written qualitatively and there are no gaps and protracted moments.
It is incredibly interesting to watch how the film depicts representatives of the security of the village where the action takes place. They are described in the project with great humor and satire, which is present between the lines.
Also qualitatively executed the work of the operator and director, it is pleasant to watch the film.
Separately, I want to note the casting of the director, all the actors in their seats, look harmoniously, even the supporting heroes, Mikhail Politseymako in the role of a neighbor above all praise.
The film will be funny and at the same time dramatic and the most important thing in this story is sincerity and the fight for your loved one.
This film teaches people to pay attention to the small moments that sometimes hide behind the routine of everyday life. Despite the humor and fun, in this movie you can see a very life story that tells about true love.
The Maldives will wait. Russian comedy for adults. I don’t doubt that teenagers understand a lot, but this film is about adult audiences. There are several reasons for this: first, there are erotic scenes within reason (for lovers of full nudity pass by). Two, there's a lot to think about. And thirdly, there is no stupid humor, which, unfortunately, some of our viewers are used to.
About what?
Have you ever had a relationship problem? Or maybe you had a lover or a lover? Or maybe you were robbed? If not, you're in luck. But Eva and Denis, the main characters of the film, had to plunge into such a “fun” vinaigrette. A vinaigrette in which they will try to solve their problems, and against the background of all this, a newcomer thief will hide from the security service. Very funny, isn't it? Yes, the main idea of the film is the problems in the relationship between a man and a woman. I am looking forward to the following thoughts: This is a banal and not interesting topic! Ugh! To which I am ready to object, this topic will always be relevant until the male and female sex cease to conflict with each other, and, therefore, this topic will always be relevant.
Plot.
As I said above, the main idea of the film is the relationship between a man and a woman. In any relationship, there is always some kind of misunderstanding, conflicts and other unpleasantness. And not everyone is able or unwilling to make efforts for reconciliation. Is it really so hard for us to think and talk about everything? Or at least to smooth out the sharp edges of conflict? This film shows how conflicts can begin and end, and where they can lead. Of course, it is built in a comedic light. But as they say, even in a joke there is some truth. Speaking of jokes. The humor here is based on comic situations, improvisation of characters and not much stupidity. What is the worth of a pretentious security chief! You're so cool! With glasses and a toothpick!
There are two stories in the storyline. The first robbery, and the second - family quarrels. At the same time, both robbery and family drama are intertwined quite closely, which creates ridiculous and sometimes strange situations.
Story #1. Robbery. Imagine hiring someone off the street and stealing something. You are confident in your plan and in this man, but something went wrong. And because of this "something is wrong" everything flies to a known address. At the same time, the plans of the thief change and lead not quite to the right house.
Story 2. Family fights. What could be worse in a relationship when the whole idyll crumbles or rose-tinted glasses break? Their consequences. Our heroes Eva and Denis can be said from the very first frames continue to bathe in their pink worlds, but at some point the glasses begin to crack like fragile ice, and at the peak moment they break!!! True, the whole performance is seen by a couple of spectators, and one of them is a ticket to the front row. So it remains to be seen what might happen to all the characters at the end of this story.
Characters.
The film involves famous actors in the series Kitchen, Sword, real boys. In my opinion, the cast was selected perfectly. For example, Kolyan played back, you can say Bazanov (if anyone remembers in Real boys it is the assistant of the district). It was funny enough considering he was paired with a real security guard. Who's the real guard? This is someone who looks "cool" and even very. What does it take to be cool? You need sunglasses, toothpick in your teeth and, of course, a very “cool” disposition.
All characters of different nature and react differently to certain situations. And the reaction is usually funny, ranging from joy to: "What kind of chlorine just happened here?" This can be applied to one of the main characters, Ivan. Ivan is an inexperienced thief who had to take part in family disputes after a relatively successful robbery. As for the main characters, they really turned out convincing. And most importantly, on their example, the most important and difficult things in the relationship between people were shown.
From me personally.
I really liked this comedy. I understand that it is often said that Russian films today are, to put it mildly, not very good. However, today there are good movies and TV series. Why are they not seen or found? I think the answer is simple. They are not advertised or advertised less than Hollywood. But that doesn't make them bad, does it? Russian comedies are based on Russian humor, that is, how we react to various funny situations. By Russian humor, I do not mean toilet humor, but, for example, humor like the Ural dumplings.
In total, my score is 5 out of 5. Recommended viewing.
Well, it was worth it because of the scene where Roman Kurtsyn, dressed in a wedding dress, walks to the car. “The Maldives Can Wait” is a comedy, of course, but quite normal and even funny in some moments. Of the pluses, I would note a good cast, a normal plot and cheerful, albeit slightly vulgar jokes. Of the cons, I would note the cheapness of shooting, the tightness of the tape (although it lasts only 88 minutes), as well as such a soundtrack. I have nothing against the song of Yegor Creed, I also have no questions about some songs, but there is one. It took 6 years as the song “Pink wine” came out, and Russian filmmakers still use it in their films. I think this song is outdated and it was kind of weird to hear it in the 2023 movie. In general, I think that the film “The Maldives Can Wait” will brighten up your evening well, you can watch it with the second half under champagne. If you want, you can go to the cinema to see it, but I think it’s best to watch it when it comes out in good quality. If you don’t watch it, you won’t lose anything! I don’t think that the film is a masterpiece, and I won’t add it to my favorite, but it will do for once. My score is 7 out of 10 and I suggest you look at it once.
A happy couple Eva, working as a lawyer and photographer Denis has a crisis in the relationship. Denis, after ten years of marriage, has a mistress Christina - she is also a model. He decides to sneak away from his wife while she is on a business trip. However, it is not as simple as it seems! Returning early, Eva finds her husband with packed suitcases. She's doing everything she can to keep him with her. A good husband is a husband glued to a chair with tape. All ' almost ' ideally, the husband will not go to the Maldives with a mistress, will stay with his wife. But the witness of this scene was a thief who climbed into their apartment added a large tar in their barrel is not the best honey. Session 'family therapy' has begun.
Actors: first of all, an interesting caste was selected, which costs only a couple of guards (and before watching I thought that the policemen) talking cliché, one cool, pompous senior guard of the village. Another hiljak (Naumov from 'Real boys'), but also not baldly sewn. Both decided to play good cops, bad cops. The game really deserves praise. Heroes convey emotions the way they would have behaved from the very beginning in such a situation. It is impossible not to empathize with each of the heroes. Each character has earned a separate respect in many ways, thanks to his personal story, revealed during the film, which ultimately helps the viewer with understanding of the ongoing chaos. And the chaos here is more likely not because of the burglar (Kurtsyn), who saw inside out the relationship between the spouses, and chaos because he tried to turn the relationship between the couple.
The main characters in the person of Maximova and Mayakin liked. Each of them had a secret aversion to one another. And then the mistress pulled up in the face of Yana Koshkina - a seductive, naive, obstinate girl, whose appearance is still legends. Well, is that happiness, Denise? You fly away and you don't come back. Maybe it was meant to be three noses to nose. Survived those adventures that gave them the fourth participant ' family session' psychotherapy. Yes, Roman Kurtsyn is good. I got the job done.
On secondary - we can talk for a long time. But, I will highlight for myself a cameo girlfriend Alena (Alina Alekseeva), a kind of adviser. I also liked the appearance of Karpovich. Both have not appeared together since the release of 'Friend for Sale'.
Everything else: Originally the film was titled 'Scotch &Whiskey'. The storyline is already familiar to people who have watched the 2015 version (but it will not be so much). I think only for the sake of the appearance of Yana Koshkina and crazy and slightly emotionally upset Polina Maksimova - there is an unusual impression of the picture. Pogosov wrote the script, as well as the predecessor of 2015. The script is also full of humor, and the characters are interesting.
And also worthy of special attention is the work of the operator Alexei Strelov.
The tape tries to inspire the viewer and think about the value of the moment, as well as the importance for each other in difficult situations.
Impressions: had I not been so obsessed with the first title, I would not have known that this is the second version of the reinterpretation of the picture. On the other hand, the Russian version also gives a lot of humor. Heroes attract attention, both main and secondary. The story is interesting, especially humor. The moral is simple and clear: value what you have.
Sometimes you think your life is perfect. Next to you is a loved one with whom you plan to live the rest of your life and with work like everything is fine, but then you suddenly learn that in fact the situation is quite ambiguous, and your soul mate is not against you to change! This is exactly the problem that the heroes of the new romantic comedy “The Maldives Will Wait” faced.
So, please get acquainted, the family of the Queen is a prestigious lawyer Eva and the famous photographer Denis. They have been living in an official marriage for a long time, they have a mansion in a closed village and everything seems to be going well. However, Eva, due to her workload, is often on business trips and sees her husband very rarely. It even comes to the fact that Eva literally ticks have to pull out of her husband banal words “I love you.” And then one day she suddenly comes back ahead of time and finds that her faithful is going on vacation with a model beauty named Christine!
Naturally, Eva does not like this state of affairs at all, and she decides to teach her husband a lesson and literally takes him hostage. So now Denis should be in the house all the time and get up from the chair he has almost no chance. According to Eva, this will definitely teach her husband a lesson and he is aware of his mistakes, but the most interesting thing here is that just during the family quarrels a thief sneaked into the house, who was definitely not going to stay here, but now he himself becomes a hostage of this hot situation.
The comedy was at least unconventional, which is why I liked it so much. It seems that we are no longer surprised by stories about adultery, in which the wife either leaves the family, or begins to take revenge, but that the wife took her husband hostage, this is the first time I personally see. Polina Maksimova plays her role very well. She is not only very cute, but also a little bitchy when necessary, and in this film she is above all praise.
I also remember Roman Kurtsyn, who played a thief. Interestingly, in this film he acts not only as an actor, but also as a coordinator of stunts. There is one interesting scene at the very beginning of the film, in which Kurtsyn’s character has to make his way through the laser grid and it’s very interesting and spectacular. It is clear that Kurtsyn was close to this project and he tried to work to the fullest.
The humor in the movie is great too. Of course, jokes are tough in some places, but that’s what makes them interesting. The authors approached the work with the light and each actor got his moment of fame here. There's a lot of celebrities out there. What only Vladimir Epifantsev in the role of senior guard of the village is worth. The way he builds his "combat" team of "elite" guards is just a beauty. Well, Maxim Lagashkin seems to continue to play the prim butler MacDonald from “Poor Oligarch”, but this time he is clearly not so simple and with Kurtsyn they have a special business (read – criminal) relationship.
“The Maldives Can Wait” is a really cool comedy that pleases with an interesting plot and a good selection of actors. It won’t be boring when you watch, so don’t miss it.
