This professional detective series creates a solid foundation for thinking about the importance of fighting dangerous trolls in the virtual world. It is a candid and energetic exploration of the topic of online cruelty and shows the importance of combating this phenomenon.
One of the main advantages of the Antitroll Agency is a competent and original concept. The central characters of the series are Lilia Poleva, a student-linguist, Seva, a programmer, and the provider Gabriel, who quite accidentally teamed up to create a detective agency "Antitroll". Their main task is to identify and neutralize dangerous trolls on the Internet that spoil lives and interfere with the communication of innocent users.
The quality of the script and acting performances is worth a separate mention. Obviously, the creators of the series invested a lot of time and energy in developing a high-quality and thoughtful script. The dialogue between the characters is natural and believable, which gives the series authenticity. Acting, especially from the main characters, captures the viewer and creates an atmosphere of a real detective process. The exceptional combination of the plot of detective series and the corporate environment as a whole creates a unique atmosphere and leaves the audience in complete delight. Each episode is full of unpredictable turns of events and fascinating stories, which makes watching the series filled with adventures and plot interesting ideas.
The script of the Antitroll Agency is distinguished by intellectual sharpness and well-developed characters. The story develops in a fascinating and thematically rich rhythm, moving from deep emotional moments to fascinating situations. The relationships and interactions of the main characters reflect the difficulties faced by people in the real world, which makes the series versatile and not only because of its theme.
The production qualities of the series are impressive for their professionalism. Excellent work of operators, artists and directors creates high-quality visual performance.
It is necessary to note the stylish direction of the Antitroll Agency. Art design, choice of color solutions and lighting create a bright and memorable image and help convey the emotionality and dynamism of scenes. Also, the musical accompaniment of the series creates a unique mood and emphasizes the main points of the plot.

The series, where drama, detective, comedy and adventure are intertwined, is the ideal choice for all lovers of quality content and fans of fascinating stories.
Social phenomena and problems about the Antitroli Agency
Antitrol Agency is a Russian television series that tells about the work of a specialized agency engaged in combating the negative influence of trolls and fake news on the Internet. The series reflects not only the problem of disinformation on the Internet, but also many other social problems that are associated with this phenomenon.
One of the main problems that the series reveals is the spread of false information on the Internet. Fake news and provocative content is widespread online, which can lead to negative consequences such as spreading disinformation, undermining trust in government and society, and conflicts between different groups of people.
Another issue the series addresses is the psychological impact on people. Trolls and other users who spread false information online often use emotional influence to draw attention to their posts. This can lead to negative emotional reactions such as fear, anger and irritation.
Critical thinking and attitude towards government. In an information war, many people tend to believe only what is confirmed by official Russian propaganda. This can lead to the denial of facts that are not consistent with the official positions of the government.
In general, the series Agency Antitrol is a reflection of a wide range of social problems associated with the spread of false information and disinformation on the Internet. He emphasizes the importance of critical thinking, education and protection against the negative influence of trolls, disinformation agents and other users who use the Internet to spread false information and manipulate public opinion.
The series follows a group of anti-hooligans. This is an organization called the Antitroll Agency, which is engaged in the fight against cyberbullying, disinformation. The agency is led by a woman named Lilia, and she and her team members use innovative technologies and tools to help victims combat cyberbullying and disinformation, as well as combat malicious online behavior.
With the growing popularity of social media, there are more and more cases of cyber violence. Because people use their anonymous names online to speak with impunity (but now in China, when you post a message online, it shows where you sent it, effectively making people's speech more regulated).
In addition, cyber violence is associated with social problems, for example, in China for a long time the regime of self-isolation was introduced, and people could not go out, which led to an increase in negative emotions in people, and they seek to vent their discontent on the Internet.
Improper Internet surveillance is also a major problem because there are too many people using the Internet now, and monitoring everyone’s speech is a huge job, so both the government and Internet companies should work harder to monitor the Internet and reduce online violence.
In 2022, a Chinese teacher taught in an online classroom. Many queer netizens logged into an online class through a link to an online class that students shared on social platforms and intentionally interrupted her lecture and even insulted her. The teacher was very angry. But she tried many times to dissuade her, but to no avail. This case lasted several days, and finally, after the lesson was over, the teacher died of a heart attack because she was too angry.
Similar cases of cyber violence also occur frequently in the Antitrol Agency: for example, someone's selfie photos are used to fake, turned into emoticons and distributed online. Therefore, the play "Agency Antitroll" has great social and educational significance, it reflects the problem of cyber violence in modern society and the harm of spreading false information. It reveals the dark side of social media and cyberspace. At the same time, this drama also calls on people to protect their privacy and respect the ideas of others, which is essential for good media development in the future.
At the center of the play is a group of young people from different fields who unite in a cyberbullying company specializing in combating violence and malicious comments on the Internet. Using a variety of techniques and tactics, they investigate and expose rumors, false information and shady practices online, helping those who have been bullied online to defend their rights and dignity.
Of course, there is also a lot of disinformation and cyber violence on the Internet. For example, a beautiful Chinese girl posted a short video on the Internet about her yoga practice, in which there was no bad leadership, but because one non-typical reposted this video and made a comment that the girl is engaged in sex trafficking and that all these movements are pornographic grooming, etc. Many netizens believed this false information and began to constantly insult the pretty girl, even found the girl’s parents and used especially disgusting language to insult her parents. No matter how much she explained, people on the Internet wanted to believe only what they believed. Both the girl and her parents are attacked with such foul language that they cannot sleep every day and are very damaged mentally.
In the play, the main characters convince people of the danger of false information to the individual and society by investigating and exposing false information and rumors on the Internet. They believe that false information online can distort people’s thoughts and behavior and even cause social panic and crisis. Therefore, their mission is to reveal the truth, dispel rumors and defend justice and righteousness. I hope we can all be like the protagonists of the play and be brave enough to confront false information and malicious comments online, and use legal means to defend ourselves and stand up for justice and honesty in society.
The speed at which information is received in modern society is particularly high and we receive different information at any time and anywhere, but we must carefully distinguish between the authenticity of the information when it is received and not comment or forward it without determining the authenticity of the information, it is possible that your unintentional comment could cause great harm to the person concerned. We must distinguish between good and evil and work together to maintain a clean and peaceful online environment.
Actual social problems of the series "Agency Antitroll"
The series "Agency Antitroll" raises topical problems of the realities of our lives. The topic of bullying on the Internet, which is now exposed to many people, among them schoolchildren, students, employees of various companies and even show business stars clearly appears in the series. Few people talk about this problem in vain! Children and young people are humiliated, blackmailed, but the worst thing is that they do not understand why others are doing it, who these people are and how to stop it. In the series, a certain “Internet police” appears a team of children: a student-linguist Lilia (Arina Yuzhaninova), a programmer Seva (Sergei Kramarev) and a provider Gabriel, who expose trolls on the Internet.
It also raises an important topic about online publishing, which ISP Gavriil (Sergey Kravchenko) talks about in the final episode of the series: “Everything published on the Internet will always remain on the Internet.” Here it is important to note the resulting problem, as the protection of information that we put on the network. Therefore, before you publish anything on the Internet, you need to think a hundred times about the consequences: many because of this lose their jobs, environment, etc.
Director Elizaveta Trusevich was not afraid to raise such a hot topic as the LGBT community and Childfree family. These are the most pressing problems of Western culture. They are vividly shown in a scene where a girl plays with dolls, and she says that "the girl loves the girl." At the same time, the little actress emphasizes that her older sister told her about this. Here, the problem of family values and the choice of content by age on the Internet is clearly raised. And the main character says this phrase: "Kenov less, and they are more expensive, and if they were not interesting, they would be more expensive?", thereby instilling in the girl the values of the traditional family: Barbie needs Ken, not Barbie and the child in the family - it's interesting!
The Antitroll Agency gives a clear definition of the Internet, which is a great illusion. And indeed, now we believe that if you have a status that says that you are “actively searching”, then the passport turns out that you are married and have not yet divorced, as writer Gleb. Or take the acquaintance of a guy and a girl: on social networks you like each other, but in fact - not. On the Internet, we can come up with any image we want, and in life we can be completely different. If we say that social networks are an illusion, then how to check where is the truth and where is the lie? Therefore, the film sets users a certain task - to learn to live on the Internet, so as to be happy, both in social networks and in real life. I definitely recommend the series to watch!
Cyberbullying is a rather acute social problem, where a person can be insulted, humiliated and even compromised on the Internet. People can face this every day and, unfortunately, not everyone can cope. What if you could contact a specialist agency about this?
The series "Agency Antitroll" gives us the opportunity to see what would have happened if this idea actually existed. The main characters - Lilya and Seva open their detective agency for calculating "Trolls" on the Internet and each series fights with detractors. The series, the atmosphere of which is somewhat reminiscent of Wes Anderson’s films, pleasantly surprises with both shooting and an interesting idea. The plot construction is easy, unobtrusive. Despite the themes and situations that are touched upon, it is not perceived as an action movie, but rather as your favorite childhood series, where you watch with interest the adventures of your favorite characters. The color reproduction and incredible softness of the frame pleasantly pleases the eye, and accordingly the general audiovisual component is better stored in memory.
However, the idea that all action takes place as if in a matrix and actions, emotions, dialogues are perceived as unreal. Whether it depends on the acting or plot construction is unclear, but this fact is quite distracting.
As a result, it’s a great choice to watch anytime, anywhere, as it won’t take you much time or any special preparation. Easy, funny, on the topic of the day series that will tell you what cyberbullying is and what it is eaten with.
The series “Antitroll” Agency directed by Elizaveta Trusevich conquers with its sparkling humor on topical acute social topics related to the Internet, web security and “trolling” in the network. While these topics will certainly resonate in the hearts of young people who spend more time in virtual reality each day than in real life and often face harassment and negative comments by anonymous users on the Internet, this picture will also be interesting for the older generation in the opportunity to learn more about the problems of children.
One of the important topics raised in the series is the issue of anonymity and data security. Many people online are free in their actions, when you can hide your face and name, and therefore with impunity pour your negativity on sometimes completely unknown people. Cybersecurity is also an important topic in today’s world where all of our personal information is stored online and could be stolen by attackers. They are struggling with these problems by making the internet a little better. Despite the young age, in many of the phrases of the main characters there is a kind of “philosophy of buzzers”, who are “free from freedom” and absorb the fruits of the “new great illusion”. Such reasoning is ironic and accurately reflects the realities of the modern world.
Another problem is that the Internet gives us the illusion of understanding this world and man. Yes, we see social networks and we can roughly imagine who is in front of us, but is it real? Faced in reality with the image of which we have created in our head, the most terrible thing to be disappointed in it, seeing that it does not correspond to our ideas. And if we, like the heroine at the very beginning of the series, abandon all social networks, it is as if we voluntarily cut ourselves off from this world and lose most of the interaction with society.
Thus, this series will be interesting to everyone who is interested in an unconventional, largely ironic view of the acute problems of society and, perhaps, even force those who are addicted to social networks to leave the Internet reality in the world around them.
The Russian web series of Elizaveta Trusevich and Marat Rogozyansky “Agency Antitroll” is a smart social film that touches not only topical, but also eternal topics.
Usually I do not watch TV series, but I wanted not only to touch, but also to watch to the end (and to understand how the authors will develop their idea, and, I hope, will not stop on the first season).
It is important not only and not so much the question of cyberbullying, but also the eternal themes of real and virtual love, fear and awe in contrast to carelessness and attachment.
Lights on the surface and depth, if you dig.
“Coffee is stronger” and “Sometimes time is more valuable than choice.”
You know why it’s such a bad idea.
Why is there a psychologist and not an adult writer.
You pay attention to the traffic light in Kukaramba, read deep allusions and see how well and competently the creators of the series worked on the meanings.
But the actors' play - I agree - is sometimes weak, alas.
Yes, Arina Yuzhaninova is certainly good; so is Sergey Kramarev and many others.
But the waiter in the cafe, however, like some other actors, sometimes get lost, and sometimes not very plausibly reproduce memorized lines.
And shooting an interview with a “whip” is probably justified (if the effect of dizziness was thought), but it looks a bit heavy.
On the other hand, you understand why at 16+ this series is very popular with 35+: the themes are smart, topical; the replicas are “prehensive”, memorable; the characters are interesting, you empathize with them.
What is at least the theme of feelings and insensibility in love on the example of coffee in Turkey?
Check it out – you won’t regret it!

That's great!
Well, it certainly is!!
Visually, the project amazes with its bright and well-designed picture, where there are bright colors and spectacular lighting, which made it very pleasant to view.
The series differs from most other projects, which often use a dark color palette, preferring a bright and creative approach in creating locations and characters. The viewer can enjoy beautiful and intricate scenery and costumes, which gives a great visual experience.
Each episode of the series combines elements of comedy and detective, and overall looks very interesting and exciting. In addition, the series not only entertains the viewer, but also helps him solve his personal problems, paying attention to the problems of the younger generation.
The most important thing is the social significance of the series. It reflects the modern world, where the interaction between the digital and real world plays an important role, and reflections on philosophical issues and social relationships between people. This series will not only entertain viewers, but also make you think about the deep questions of our lives.
In general, this series is an excellent example of high-quality cinematography, which demonstrates how you can create interesting and relevant projects for the younger generation without losing the level of social significance and quality of performance.
The series Antritroll Agency made a big impression on me. It is a skillful combination of entertaining and instructive moments. Acute social problems are raised in it in a light, completely accessible to perception form, thanks to which it is understandable to both children and adults.
It allows the older generation to better understand the structure of the “virtual” world of young people, learn about the problems it can bring them, and enrich their vocabulary with youth slang.
For young children, it will be useful for realizing the value of the real world, relationships with family and friends.
The main characters of the series, Seva and Lilia, teach us to be attentive, kinder and more responsive. Together with the heroes, we learn security on the Internet, as well as tactful communication with others.
The series are quite short, which is very convenient for the modern rhythm of life, and each of them plays out a separate plot, so you can start watching the series with anyone.
I would also like to note the professionalism of the cast and crew - acting gives pleasure, and a high-quality picture enhances it many times.
I highly recommend this series because it reveals the truly important issues of modern society, and most importantly, it teaches kindness and responsiveness.
Trolls have ceased to be just mythical heroes and moved to the Internet space
The series "Agency Antitroll" is not only an entertainment project, but also an educational one, which is relevant to the problems associated with modern information technologies and their potential danger.
One of the main aspects emphasized in the series is cyberbullying and its negative impact on people’s lives. In today’s world, where social networks play an increasingly important role in everyday life, it is important to learn to distinguish between truthful and manipulative information and not be influenced by negative manifestations on the Internet. In addition, the series emphasizes the importance of communication in real life and not to forget about live communication and social interaction offline.
The series also reminds viewers that in the digital age, it is important to be vigilant against fake news and disinformation. He urges viewers not to believe everything they read online and to actively check facts before making any conclusions.
In general, the Antitroll Agency is a very relevant project for modern society, which definitely deserves attention.
The series “Agency Antitroll” touches on the important topic of personal boundaries between people.
One of the main advantages of the series is that it addresses a complex and pressing issue related to personal boundaries in the era of the Internet and social networks. It shows how important it is to preserve your privacy and protect your data, especially when using the internet and social media.
The series perfectly illustrates that the violation of personal boundaries can lead to various negative consequences, such as theft of personal information, violation of privacy, etc. At the same time, it teaches viewers various methods of protection against violation of personal boundaries and provides practical advice on preserving privacy and security on the Internet.
In addition, the series shows that the violation of personal boundaries can occur not only in the online world, but also in real life. It raises the important topic of personal freedom and privacy, and teaches viewers how to set boundaries and protect them.
The series "Agency Antitroll" is useful and relevant for the present time, as it touches on the problems of modern information technologies and their harmfulness in certain situations.
Cyberbullying is one of the main issues of the series. Social media has become a place for anonymous comments, private life discussions and gossip. In today’s society, one can face social media deception, discrimination and hate. This is an urgent problem, because it is important not to succumb to influence and not become a victim. It is also important not to become the same “troll”, because to express their own opinion under the mask of an anonymous person can absolutely everything. The series highlights the importance of critical thinking and fact-checking in the digital information age.
An important social issue is the importance of live communication. In the series, an example is clearly disassembled when the main character is not sitting on social networks, but it is much scarier to approach and get acquainted live. It should be remembered that not all people can be found on the Internet and communicate more in life. I believe that this is one of the global problems of modern society, as many are mired in the routine of the virtual world and do not plan to return to the real world. The series is clear and relevant for the present time, I recommend it to everyone.
A new game of dolls, addiction treatment and safety
The series is aimed at drawing attention to socially significant problems. One of them is information security. She is the basis of the activities of the agency Seva and Lily (the main characters), the cause of all the cases of their clients.
But beyond that, there are cross-cutting themes that the characters touch. For example, the peculiarities of the relationship between a man and a woman: the child plays with dolls with the plot of childfree, and Seva in the friendzone with his girlfriend. The series also raised issues of plagiarism, hyperprotection and the realization of their ambitions through children, transferring behavior from the Internet to real life.
But mostly the characters face a dependence on social networks (the protagonist, for example, undergoes therapy) and solve the conflict of humanity and the information environment.
7 series = a lot of problems that you can visualize and translate to your experience.
Watching the Antitroll Agency was a pleasure. The series will be interesting not only in terms of entertaining home content, but also for using it to build children’s skills of safe behavior in the digital environment. The series is very light, tightening and short in duration. They deserve special attention in the current realities of the development of social networks. It is not necessary to watch the series from the very beginning and in order, since the plot of each series is logically finished.
The high pace of life, a large amount of information in the digital space and the inability to use it competently - all this leads to the emergence of "virtual crimes", which are successfully investigated by the main characters of the series, thereby raising important problems of our time: digital security, cyberbullying, trolling, etc. An interesting plot and topical themes of the series are accompanied by the professional activities of the film crew, talented work of the cast and pleasant musical accompaniment.
Today’s children are saving their own future. I recommend the series to people involved in the digital world, i.e. everyone. And as a teacher, I recommend my colleagues to use his fragments in their teaching activities.
The series is not the worst in concept, but, as often happens, the implementation fails.
The actors are cardboard, they talk too tightly, sometimes it seems that they themselves do not fully understand the things they are talking about. Some characters appear unclear how and why. Their actions do not always seem reasonable, logical, which makes it difficult to associate themselves with such people. They're all very strange: Lily throwing her phone into the river, her mom drinking tap water at her interview.
Cases that the heroes “investigate” are too exaggerated and far-fetched (bullying, bullying and only to eliminate a competitor for a place at the university?). As Stanislavsky said: “I do not believe!”
We are not shown the processes of searching for “trolls”: all we see is how the heroes learn about a problem, and immediately solve it. No search, no reasoning, immediately the final result, and sometimes the problem is solved by itself, regardless of the characters (as, for example, the case with the “dead wife”).
The narrative is very ragged: the authors show us the plot of some plot, but this “branch” does not receive any development (for example, it turned out with a singer from a diner where the characters spend time).
Separate dislike screensaver: the yard is 2023, and the screensaver is some kind of drawn, cartoon, as if straight from 2007. And it does not look like a cute anachronism, because the series is about modernity and modern problems.
The series evokes a deep sense of "Spanish shame" and brings absolutely no pleasure.
Life in the information society has seized us with a head, and already we all willy or unwillingly rush through the media tunnel, not noticing either time, space, or even that we are rushing. The series gives you the opportunity to realize yourself as an integral part of the media world, as it stops time and space for us, gives you the opportunity to look around and look at yourself from the outside. They say “learn from mistakes”, but it’s great when we learn from such films or books, in the experience of communicating with friends.
The main characters of the film: Seva and Lilia are simple guys, just like most of us, they dispose of themselves and cause confidence in the simplicity of communication, openness, desire to help. Throughout the series, the relationship of a girl and a guy develops, together with them we learn to understand each other, solve pop-up problems with someone’s help or on our own. Interestingly, their relationship develops at the junction of two worlds: virtual and real, the plot of the series leads to the fact that for us, real relationships are more valuable and we are waiting for them. It is very pleasant that traditional values are unobtrusively broadcast: family, love, friendship, mutual help. . .
The series is an encyclopedia of wise advice not only on media security, but also simple life situations, especially relevant for young people.
I advise older people to watch the series, it can become a key to understanding the interests of children or grandchildren, and for their own media education. Each series replenishes the vocabulary of the media user: trolling, cyberbullying, tokin, fake, etc. And most importantly, each time the viewer becomes a witness to an exciting plot.
The show caught me from the start, it was fun to watch. It seems that you are watching not just a series, but watching the history of your friends. This is definitely the merit of the film crew. At first I could not determine what genre the series belongs to, but then I boldly write it down in my sheet 'must see'!
Today we live in the era of digitalization, which cannot but affect the lives of every layman. And the series "Agency Antiroll" was able to fit not only steriotype, but also life moments. When watching sometimes there was a feeling of "Is it possible?", but returning to our real life, I can safely answer - maybe it happens. Yes, man has advanced in the digital world, but still it remains a kind of dense forest, a labyrinth, the way in which we have yet to find.
Interestingly, “don’t tell anyone” was replaced by “don’t you dare post it.” Digitalization has become so commonplace that it has changed both attitudes and fears.
In my opinion, the series "Antitroll Agency" - not so much a story about bullying in the network, but about the journey of modern man in the digital world. How do you protect yourself? How do you do something right? This is true for both adults and young people.
The series lasts an average of 15 minutes, which is also pleasant. The creators of the series open the veil, telling the story, and at the same time leave us time for independent reflection, observations and conclusions. It looks easy and does not stay on the soul after watching heavy rain. On the contrary, I want to spin this thought, idea, in my head.
I think the Antitroll Agency will review and recommend it to my friends. This is a rather interesting and, importantly, social project that combines the idea of the confrontation between the digital and non-digital environment, philosophical reflections and carries an important social role.
A social project! Topical issues of digital security.
It was interesting to see the Antitroll Agency, as I work with the media and with large amounts of information, as well as with pedagogy and educational activities. I did not expect that such a series could “delay” to view. But since the series is quite short, it looks easy, interesting. I literally watched it all tonight. And even if you do not know who is who of the heroes, and start watching from any series, it will still be informative and instructive. In each episode, the main characters investigate the crimes of real people, but in the virtual world. Such important topics as digital security, cyberbullying, etc. are raised. This is what the creators of the series do. With interesting plot intricacies, pleasant camera work, well-chosen cast, music, understandable dialogues with a moderate dose of humor and irony.
Youth for young people, and perhaps just so important problems of our time will become clearer and more understandable, and teenagers will learn from the mistakes of others - cinematic examples of "how it is impossible and what will happen."
Boldly recommend the series to view young viewers, teachers and counselors, as well as parents together with their children! I think that fragments of the series can even be used to work with schoolchildren on media literacy and media security.
At a time when it seems that the world has gone mad with cruelty, I personally find a point of stability in the procedures, because what could be more stable and stable than the “kill-investigate” scheme. Besides, the world of procedurals is a world in which everything works as it should: the problems are always clear, the accused is guilty, the shirts on the police are always ironed. Yes, this is simplicity, yes, this is the ideal reality of advertising mayonnaise, but now it is in such a parallel, well-fed, fair and beautiful reality and I want to occasionally run away.
Parallel reality is occupied by the main characters of the series, investigating minor “crimes” in the network. Seva and Lilya each series are looking for a cyber-offender, by the end of the season collecting for the viewer a full encyclopedia of hooliganism in the network. And, since Seva and Lilya are such agents Mulder and Agent Scully (the main characters of the TV series “The X-Files” in 1993), they cannot be together at the end of the season, no matter how they are hissed.
What is nice, "Agency Antitroll" is not shy of its illusory, but on the contrary emphasizes it with visual solutions: the walls of the restaurant, in which the action of the series often unfolds, the exuberant red color, the shirts of the heroes are always bright, everything around is deliberately colorful. It seems that you are watching a coloring book, in which everything has already been done for you, and you just have to relax and flip through the pages.
Agency “Antitroll” is an unusual series, before watching which you need to tune in to a clear, but strange story. In a sense, the story told by the authors of the series looks from the point of view of style out of the ordinary. I didn’t think it was possible to move so far away from the usual formats, in which a psychopath, a psychopath and a psychologist appear in a few minutes. None of this is here. That is why the series can be a pleasant discovery for all those people who have watched many TV series and films on different platforms. This extra-format, author’s story (in terms of the form of presentation of the material) about the popular problem of cyberbullying is not without psychologicalism, or rather attempts to understand the motivations of the characters. The creators of the series do not conduct a deep analysis of the behavior of the characters, so during the viewing there are many questions to the development of the plot. It seems to be intentional. Firstly, the story does not lose its ease and still remains suitable for viewing in the family circle. Secondly, the peculiar plot non-disclosure of conflicts reserves the right to create several meanings, which allows the viewer to independently draw conclusions about what he saw. And finally, the concept of the series did not imply a scientific immersion in the topic of cyberbullying. In my opinion, this story is more about love than about online bullying.
On the other hand, there is a feeling that something is missing in the series. And this primarily concerns the elaboration of the images of the heroes. In some important points, there is a lack of explanation as to why the characters act in this way and not in some other way. Of course, not all the motivations of the characters need to be explained, but there are key points where this is necessary. These shortcomings are especially pronounced when describing the relationship between the main characters Lilia and Seva.
It is also important to say that the stories of cyberbullying victims are inconclusive. In most cases, they are drawn by the ears or even primitive. But the concept of this series, as already noted, did not imply the creation of a serious work with a detailed analysis of the problem of cyberbullying. I think this story is designed for an audience with other interests.
Of course, such a series has the right to exist with all its minor plot flaws, which give it shades of strangeness and understatement. The Antitroll Agency is a lightweight version of the cyberbullying narrative. Perfect for those who are tired of modern dramas and thrillers.
Honestly, having heard the title of the series, before watching, I did not even know what to expect from it. The problem of cyberbullying did not immediately arise in my head, but when I realized that the series was about this, of course, it hooked me, at least the relevance of the topic.
In my opinion, the series tried to combine “life” and “exaggerated”. Somewhere it was done organically, somewhere not very. As if the comedy component gives a wider range for the presence of different scenes and a certain game of actors, but at the same time, the moments feel that the series is trying to show the life situation without embellishment. Plus, the importance of the problem raised also made itself felt, since it is difficult to openly joke on all topics in a row without losing social significance. This causes a little dissonance when viewing. You do not know how to treat this series: as a comedy, which exaggeratedly show the current agenda or as a series trying to really raise an important problem, highlighting quite real in our time stories.
The undeniable plus of the Antitroll Agency is its dynamics. A small timekeeping of the series, perhaps, does not allow you to fully reveal the characters and show directly the process of catching trolls, but catches the ease and ease of storytelling, allowing you to enjoy watching the entire series in one breath.
I would also appreciate acting positively. The actors felt their characters and, in general, conveyed what the viewer expected from the characters.
Bright, interesting camera solutions, definitely decorated the series. There are scenes that literally cut into memory, which is worth only a dialogue shot with a 360-degree panorama. At the same time, quite calm editing very well helps the series to keep whole and not to break up into separate disparate scenes.
From the point of view of the plot, there are moments that are not entirely clear or perhaps not fully disclosed. They are mainly related to the relationship between the main characters. For example, it is unclear whether Seva and Lilia’s harsh friendzone, or her decision about her relationship with Gleb, after everything she has learned. But I hope it opens up a second season, because the story really hooked me and I would love to see a sequel.
The digital realm of our day, for all its technological advances, is a jungle that dictates its own laws. Or rather, their absence: the ability to take other guises, write and say anything, poison absolutely anyone (ex-spouse, business rival or just unsympathetic to you person) and even arrange suicidal games – without fear of punishment.
The high pace of life, the lack of extra time to stop and reflect – also among the traits set by the information age. They are quite consistent with the web series "Antitroll Agency", episodes of which last only 13-20 minutes. Always somewhere in a hurry, the viewer seems not to want to delay, but this does not mean that the project does not have time to let him think. Just the opposite: food for thought here accumulates almost more than in any feature film on a similar topic.
Antitroll Agency is not just about cyberbullying. This is about the loss of humanity. Real feelings expressed not through emoji, the ability to create something material, rationality and emotional stability. In each series, we see heroes with such a “diagnosis”: from one of the two main characters of Seva, for whom posts are a kind of drug, to very secondary characters, for example, a hacker programmer experimenting with a “morrowbot” over the page of the deceased wife of Mikhail Mikhail Mikhailovich and unaware that it can somehow hurt the widower.
I think this series has distant intersections with Black Mirror. Of course, it is in terms of semantics, format and style that this does not apply: "Antitroll Agency" is not an anthology and uses to reveal its problems not science fiction and witty satirical, but simple comedy techniques - with an admixture of an uncomplicated detective. The British project is unlikely to be seen by the whole family, the Russian one is its lighter and brighter antipode.
But where laughter meets with open arms, there is a sadness waiting around the corner. Serious sayings of the characters, sobering you immediately after funny and somewhat absurd scenes, amaze with their accuracy and philosophicness, make you ask: where has our society driven itself? What in the end can the buzzers boast before the Octobers and Komsomol members?
With the idea, everything is more or less clear, but its presentation causes me ambiguous feelings. The whole series is built on the opposition of analog and digital worlds and proclaims the victory of the first over the second (this confirms the final), demonstrates that “real reality” will always be better than virtual reality. Meanwhile, frankly, life outside of Cheesbooks, Cheersbooks and other “books” at the Antitroll Agency looks so baroque and hyperbolized that it also cannot claim the honorary title of reality. Rather, it is another parallel reality, a fairy tale. Heroes behave strangely (partly because almost all actors either underplay or overplay), dress strangely, communicate strangely with each other, and do strange things. Especially awkward – for the mother of Lilia Vera, who, coming to the interview, decides to quench her thirst with tap water in the toilet and offers to try it to her future employer; not very understanding, Seva is Vsevolod, Arseny or Semyon (as if there are options). Such examples are found for almost every hero of the series. Even the cases that the agency reveals are too artificial, modeled (ugly comments and insults... to eliminate a competitor for a place in the bioengineering department?). Because of this unreality in the square, there is a certain contradiction between what they are trying to convey to me and what I see on the screen.
Perhaps the sense of inorganism, from which it is impossible to get rid of and when you realize that the series still has a humorous component, is enhanced by the incompleteness of the plot – patchwork, blank. Some lines are stated and, without receiving continuation, disappear without a trace in the following episodes. This happens at least twice with the emergence of new cases for Lilia and Seva: at the end of the 2nd (the dean talks about the site where fakes about the institute are published) and the 3rd (Anna Buturlina turns to the guys for help, and what next, the story is silent - it turns out, she was devoted 3.5 minutes of screen time just for the sake of cameo and song performance) series.
Some characters also disappear: a friend of Seva, members of the Lily family (dad, grandfather, grandmother).
The dynamics and format of the series often lead to clumsiness of the action, and the characters act illogically, unreasonable for the viewer. Why, for example, Seva at the very beginning wanted to leave Lily in the friend zone, when it is shown that he was the initiator of the acquaintance – and clearly not just friendly? This dialogue with a red traffic light appears suddenly – nothing foreshadowed.
Or how could Lilia, who knows perfectly well that social networks can not be blindly trusted, and puts a fake birth date on her page, buy the status of “not married” in the profiles of Gleb Khmury – and still be very surprised by his deception?
This inconsistency makes heroes, already suffering from a lack of disclosure and development, more flat. Although, of course, images are remembered – both in character and appearance. What are Lily's dresses worth!
The plot specificity and compactness described above do not change the fact that the series "Agency "Antitroll" is an original project with an important social message, very attractive and visually (in mis-staging and coloristics sometimes reminiscent of the work of Wes Anderson; with interesting camera solutions: camera tilts, its departure on a serving trolley, interaction with a reflective surface), and auditory (atmospheric bizarre soundtrack). But this identity, in my opinion, sometimes goes to the extreme.
6 out of 10
This series exaggerates the values of the modern world, sometimes reaching the point of absurdity. On the one hand, it raises such important issues as non-reciprocity of feelings, cyberbullying, rapid maturation, dependence on social networks and the contradiction between the two worlds - digital and analog. On the other hand, these problems are shown so exaggeratedly that, in modern language, the viewer has only one word in his head – “kringe”. I will write about what made me feel this way.
The relationship between the main characters. Indeed, it is not very clear why a guy who fell in love with a girl at first sight suddenly brought her to the friend zone, and then the whole series was jealous of her. On the other hand, it is understandable, because he originally came up with her image, which does not exist in reality. The girl seemed so mysterious and unattainable, special and mysterious, and then it turned out that she was just as ordinary as everyone else. Unfortunately, in the modern world, this is what happens: young people are not going to build a strong relationship with a real person, try for him, give real gifts and flowers. They idealize their partner and then become frustrated when they are just as normal as other people. This is what happens to Seva, but when he sees that the girl he sent to the friendzone starts dating others, he becomes jealous himself, and can do nothing but send a fist emoji to her fifty-year-old boyfriend. It remains a mystery to me why the 22-year-old is sleeping and dating a married, fifty-year-old bald man. According to this series, it seems that only those who grew up not in a digital environment live “real” and there is no one among modern young people who is ready for beautiful courtship and real recognition.
Problem. I liked that the series raised such an important topic as online abuse. Writing a negative comment takes a couple of seconds, but the trauma of a person who was written bad words remains for a long time. The series shows that such insults come from clamped, resentful people who should only be pityed. The disease of “trollism” – so it was called in the series. However, as noted in the review above, it is unclear why there is no punishment for such people. On the one hand, all is well, because the victims of bullying realized who really was hiding behind nicknames in social networks, and decided to forgive. On the other hand, it is interesting how many more people will suffer at the hands of those who were “forgiven” such insults.
There are a lot of things in the series that were supposed to look funny, but they didn’t turn out to be funny, and caused only a sense of “Spanish shame.” For example, this is a game of dolls of a little girl, which the girlfriend from the extension told about lesbians and the childfree movement. Mom can’t buy her daughter a toy-Ken, so the daughter plays with girls who confess to each other in love. It's not about tolerance, it's about kids learning too early what they don't need to think about at that age. What was this scene about?
The same impression I had after one episode mentioned the tendency of a girl to suicide due to bullying in social networks. It was one phrase that the characters laughed at and forgot, but it’s an important problem that should be solved. One cannot laugh at the fact that insults on the network take the lives of other people, and the “troll” then sits quietly in a cafe and discusses plans to enter a new faculty.
Separately, I want to note the “gaps” and jumps in the plot, which I did not understand. In the series, many unsuccessfully taken takes, where the hero stumbles on his phrase or mispronounces the word. In the series about the dead wife, it was completely unclear where the culprit came from and why he suddenly threw phrases like: “I could resurrect your wife!” There was no reference to this man, and I did not even understand who he was or how he came to be. The series, in fact, are not related to each other, because of which the integrity of the plot is lost. For example, the singer appeared in the series for exactly one-third of the airtime, said that she needed help, and then just disappeared. It seemed like I missed one episode when I turned on the next one.
What I liked was the work of the cameraman, the tightness of the script and the continued interest throughout the series. I liked the unusual plans from different angles, when the characters then talk to the camera, then move with it, then sit on the general plan, and the focus changes from near to far objects. Watching the series was easy and interesting. Despite the low frequency of changes in plans, they were not boring or protracted.
There was not enough zest, empathy for the heroes, emotions. I did not feel the pain and sadness of those bullied in social networks and I did not feel sorry for Sev with his unrequited love. Maybe you needed more screen time for different storylines, or maybe it was the undisclosed characters.
The Internet today definitely plays a big role in our lives, but it also carries many external threats faced by users of different ages, with different psyches and approaches to solving problems. The series "Antitroll Agency" introduces us to a real "agency", which mainly involves the two main characters Seva and Lil, as the two main agents to solve the problem. They're like Bonnie and Clyde, but it's only in their teens and in the age of the Internet that they fight evil on the Internet by detecting it that no anonymous person will escape. Information security is an important topic in 2022 and many adults are increasingly thinking about how to protect their children from cyberbullying. In cinema, this topic is only gaining momentum, but what. This is especially important to talk about now, especially when teenagers do it. Here I would especially like to note the work of the writer of the series, the dialogues of the main characters turned out to be very lively and at the same time not played. This is the great merit of the actors themselves, who coped with the role of agents saving the world, and with the role of the children of their parents, and with the role of friends.
I would also like to note the actress Natalia Ungard - the mother of the main character Lily. For me, this is a very original and at the same time the right decision of the relationship between mother and daughter, especially I would like to note the simplicity and openness of the heroine, for example, in a situation with a job, such moments can not but cause a pleasant laugh.
The visual range was also interesting, the way the operator handled it, the dialogues of the characters in the already familiar place of the Kukaramba cafe, the shooting is very dynamic.
"Antitroll" is 7 episodes of 15-20 minutes and I think it's a good option for evening viewing when you're looking for something light, not loading, but useful. Definitely makes you pay attention to a lot in this life!
In Russian cinema, the problem of cyberbullying is not often raised (if at all). That is why the appearance of such a series as “Antitroll Agency” is important and valuable: there is a problem, there is a need to solve the problem.
At the heart of each episode are similar situations: linguist student Lilia and programmer Seva bring Internet trolls to the surface. Short series of 15-20 minutes look dynamic and easy. Sometimes it seems too dynamic and easy: sometimes I wanted the intrigue to last longer and the denouement of the story was not so rapid. It seems to me that not only the identity of the attacker, his goals and motives, but also the process of searching for the criminal is interesting in the cyber detective.
The story of Seva and Lilia also did not have enough time to develop, so the ending, in my opinion, is lifelike, but somewhat crumpled. This is probably a second season...
In the series, a bright visual range (what is one cafe "Kukaryamba" with a traffic light!), the work of the operator is certainly worthy of attention. Also worth noting and acting: wonderful Natalia Ungard in the role of the mother of the main character, and when you see on the screen her duet with Dmitry Aksenov – this is a real holiday for the viewer!
The motives of cyberbullies are fully disclosed: they begin trolling out of scientific interest, personal dislike, the desire to eliminate a competitor. If there is a crime, there must be a punishment. He is not in the series, and the coffee poured on his head does not count. How those who trolled people on the Internet would eventually be punished remains a mystery to me.
Today, when everyone has a smartphone and access to social networks, the absence of an account is already an excuse to cast oblique glances at a person. I won’t be original in saying that this is a problem of modern society and that there can be many reasons for not having a VC or Twitter page. One of these reasons is the so-called “bullying” or “trolling” (in Russian, by the way, “bullying”) on the Internet. The series tells about trolls and the fight against them: having decided to fight provocateurs in networks, the main characters create their own agency "Antitrol" - the name speaks for itself.
The theme of the series, in my opinion, is quite relevant and interesting, since none of us is immune from becoming a victim of online hooliganism. In addition, it is not necessary that you will be attacked by professional hackers and publish confidential information. What about a group of schoolchildren who litter the VKontakte page or, for example, relatives who want to troll you so that you are removed from all social networks? In the course of the series, you will understand what is what.
The plot itself is not without logic and keeps the viewer at the screen for a long time. Thank you to the director and writer of the script, who did not consider it necessary (in a good sense) to dwell on the exposition for a long time, as the directors of series on such topics sin, and almost immediately moved on to the beginning of the action. By the way, the conflict is “triggered” as quickly as it is “triggered” – in each series, the characters calculate trolls for a small amount of time. Despite the abundance of storylines, it is impossible to get lost in them - the cinema is very structured and "told" in understandable language.
The acting was pleasantly surprised, especially the play of the main characters. It is felt that the actors were interested in the work; that their role really impressed them and they tried to diversify it, which not every modern actor can boast of. Emotions of all kinds, even this classic “not this friendship, not this love” – everything in the series was present and was well played. The actress, although young, seems to be able to pull more difficult roles. (It's more like a director's note.)
Quite a lot of interesting directorial and camera techniques: departures, some non-standard angles, the destruction of the fourth wall, when the characters speak on camera – all this gives dynamics to the film and makes the visual series not so banal.
Perhaps in the end, it would be worth adding some story about the retribution that trolls receive on the Internet, although, on the other hand, then the series would significantly “spread” with timekeeping, grew into a full-fledged detective and would lose some uniqueness.
In general, this movie is perfect for those who want to pass the time watching something interesting.
There are so many mummies on the internet that you can’t count.
I’ve been waiting for work that reflects the reality we live in. It’s very difficult to talk about NFT, media literacy, social media security when we don’t fully understand how media works and our online reputation. From that and the prices of small independent projects that literally fix reality on the trail. The mini-series “Agency Antitroll” perfectly picked up and developed this topic. At first, of course, caught the name. Immediately reminded “Detective Agency “Moonlight”. The main characters Lilya and Seva also act as detectives, but investigate cases not real, but virtual. In the center of each series, the conflict-troll on the Internet writes nasty things about a person, and the linguist and her partner Zumer solve the problem with the help of their knowledge. There is also a chemistry between the characters that disappears as quickly as it emerges. And here immediately appears the first question: why Seva offered to stay in the “friendzone” girl, who he ran for the whole first series and starkered her in social networks? And we see how much he likes her throughout the series, and at the end, he takes another step towards her. Overall, Lilya is a very controversial character. At first glance, she is a typical example of a manic pixie dream girl who should give confidence to a young man and somehow change. But the hero doesn't change by the end of the first season. He doesn’t learn new skills, his life is the same as in the first series. But the heroine is revealed completely in a new way. She's sexy, uninhibited, confident. She is only 16 years old, but for her heart are fighting and buzzer, and the owner of a unique token, and 50-year-old writer. Also, she amazingly establishes relations with relatives, meets her mother, just as quickly forgets about relatives. And that's all in 7 episodes. It felt like there wasn’t enough screen time for so many storylines. We almost immediately go from exposure to oblivion, literally in the first minutes of the story. As quickly as possible, the conflict in each series is unleashed: our detectives solve the mystery in a couple of minutes, their neural connections would be envied by Sherlock Holmes himself. The most important thing I missed as a viewer was the consequences and punishment for those who act as an Internet troll. After all, the series has exactly this social purpose: to speak out against cyberbullying, to show that everything you write on the Internet remains there. But what happens to the aggressors? Why do we not see their repentance, their change, their punishment? After catching the girl, her victim sits with her in a cafe. Lilya, after the truth about the wives of his beloved, responds with mutual sympathy. Cyberbullying is a very serious problem that can lead to incorrigible consequences.
In the work on the script, I want to note the dialogue. They are very clear and funny, especially I liked the refrain with the choice of coffee. I recognized myself in a cafe when I ordered. In general, the story repeats are very bright and accurate, visually they set the tone for the work and give humor. Very well, the screenwriter prescribed a refrain with “pioneer – October – Komsomol”.
I want to mention interesting camera solutions. I like how the camera pulls away with the waiter’s cart, how it conducts dialogue on the 360 arc, how it looks awry at the hero. It is very interesting to see such easy and effective solutions.
The actors are very lively, you want to watch them, you can recognize yourself in everyone. I especially liked the heroine’s mother. A lovely, charming holiday woman, but she doesn't look like the man who just got out of prison after a five-year stint in the zone. It is painful that she easily finds work, easily reconciles with her daughter.
In general, the series looks in one breath. It can be viewed in the evening on both YouTube and Vkontakte. If you like “Imagine What We Know” stories and want to discover new faces, I recommend you watch this work!
The series “Agency Antitroll” turned out to be quite fascinating, not banal, but something fresh. I'm definitely hooked, there's some sparkle in it. It's an interesting story. Sometimes funny, sometimes subtle and ironic. The series is short, do not strain, look in one breath!
Many have faced cyberbullying... so the theme of the series seems relevant. Why and why do people bully each other on the Internet... why allow themselves to write to others what in life would not dare to say in person?
Since our course shoots a mini-series at the university, and I decided to try myself as a director, I was interested in watching not only as a spectator. I liked the way it was shot – the quality, the beautiful clothes of the actors, the successful bright color correction, the combination of colors and many details, especially in the scenes in the cafe under the interesting name “Kukayamba”. I really liked the plans - in the streaming audience, photos of x-rays, spicy underwear hung on the street, steps ...
Frenzona ... that's what makes her sad. When and how he realized he had no feelings for the girl he liked at first sight was a mystery to me. On the other hand, if the main characters were a couple, all the emphasis would go to them. I thought it would be possible to reveal in more detail the characters of the characters, their lives before meeting each other.
I didn’t expect the show to end so suddenly, and I was always expecting a sequel... a good move, but poor viewers.
