2012. Everyone has their own glow. Pay attention to the beautiful poster for this film. In essence, this is the synopsis - in a charming country-plein-air, snow-covered specificity and this movie will be shot. At first glance, everything is trivial.
The director seems to offer us a new retelling of the unforgettable “The Shining” by Stanley Kubrick. Everything repeats itself - a country mansion, a family with a middle-aged man, a faithful hen-wife and a small boy, strange signals - foreshadowings of trouble, a snowy landscape ...
A very twisted ending of course will avoid any suspicion in the remake, but the stylistic similarity is undeniable. The film made the best impression on me.
First of all, the harmony of the dynamics of the narrative and the disclosure of the plot, more than the correct timing and unpretentiousness of the picture, was pleasantly shaken. This is a small chamber film, enhanced by a beautiful plein air, stylistically complementing the numerous artistic details of the picture left in the shadows.
The main roles were invited not stars of the first magnitude, but very talented actors. They just played their roles well, not including charisma.
In the end: I will not retell the plot details, just emphasize that I treat this picture as a very original and correct interpretation of Kubrikov's "Shining".
In recent years, Spain has sharply broken into the leaders of European cinema, and the painting “The Way”, which is not a masterpiece, further emphasizes the high level of Spanish cinema.
