Uncle Kara... I have been waiting for this series for a very long time, mainly because of the actor in the lead role and the main director.
But as they say, when you wait a long time, you don’t get what you expect.
The plot "Uncle Kara" at first glance seems exciting, interesting, non-standard and intriguing. But this is only at first glance.
The plot of the series - bad. There is simply no other way to describe it. Screenwriters write without thinking about the details, what they wrote before and generally what they write. They write, write, go in circles from series to series.
Not only that, firstly, a series about the 70s and should convey the atmosphere of that time. But the writers do not think about conveying the spirit of that time. The number of blunders and inconsistencies is simply amazing.
Secondly - most of the plot, if not the main in this series is the legal theme, namely judicial. But again, the writers have no idea of the basics of criminal law. They make rude, inexcusable mistakes and build on this further plot, trying to show us the unearthly love of the judge and the shoemaker.
Kenan Imirzalyoglu - does not feel his image at all, it seems that he is playing from under the stick and he was simply forced to work out his very good fee. Every emotion he puts out of himself. A lot of falsehood, playfulness and endless tears of a strong man.
Berguzar Korel - not even close to the desired image. She, like the writers, does not understand who Mrs. Judge is. She stubbornly builds innocent eyes, sweet smiles and plays like an 18-year-old chorus girl.
The pair didn't work out. They are both struggling to play love, but it is exactly to play, especially it is not so difficult for them, they are helped by the writers who write them vows of eternal love through the series. The syrup in their relationship is huge.
Their pluses can highlight, perhaps, three supporting actors Yurdar Okur, Erkan Avdzhi and Melike Yalova. Well done.
"Uncle Kara" is the worst Turkish TV series I've ever seen.
