Against the background of previous stillborn films of the DC Cinematic Universe, this at least managed to distinguish itself pleasantly. A more or less normal script that tells a clear and beautiful story without exchanging for interfering sidequests and references, without recomposing 3-4 incompatible comics into a monster film. After "BPS" and "Suicide Squad," this movie looks ... complete. Almost. Thank you to DC for this... This is what they have done with the viewer. But the downsides. If you turn on the brain when viewing, then questions arise: - Hippolyta tells her daughter some nonsense. Zeus created the Amazons (which by nature are warriors) to fill people’s hearts with love. Isn't that the opposite? They established peace on earth and then rebelled against slavery. What slavery? When did they get into it? Zeus defeated Ares, but somehow died anyway. From what? After that, according to Hippolyta, peace reigned on Earth - well, except for all the wars that occurred after the time of ancient Greece. Well, the Amazons after that went underground, so that they are warriors only in training and no one's hearts are no longer filled with love, only hide and wait for death, good heroines. - How can you swim from Themyscira (according to legend, in the Black Sea) to England in one night? On the boat. Even though both passengers were asleep. They say the boat is magical, but it is not. - Steve has gathered people to help on the mission. One of them is an excellent sniper. What did he do in the movie? He sang once and sang once. He didn't fire a fucking shot! - Sometimes Wonder Woman can jump a few meters by herself. But sometimes she has to be planted. - Steve couldn't seduce Dr. Poison into cheating because he was looking at Diana. If he had succeeded, what was the plan? - What did Diana do with Frau Royal-in-Bush, with whom she took off her ballroom dress? Killed off-screen? - How did the general, dancing with Diana and holding her waist, not feel a sword under her dress? How come no one ever saw him? He's stuck on half his back. - How did she change from dress to armour for the race? Ares. It is acceptable that in the 20th century he changed methods and looks like an English gentleman with a furry paw in world politics. But in a flashback from the legendary past, he was shown with the same paradoxical appearance. This is an epic DC villain. In the scene of a superhero battle, this face is inappropriate, this actor simply cannot pronounce such pathetic phrases, fight with lightning. This mistake is called miscast. - Ares told the heroine that she could kill him without a sword. It is so common that a movie villain will do anything to avoid winning. - Steve's senseless self-sacrifice. It was easy to destroy the plane and save yourself. And I've seen the same thing from a guy named Steve. And all these disadvantages would be enough to bury this film next to "BPS", but ... it somehow saved the script, revealed characters and strong scenes. And I love strong scenes, and in many ways I watch movies for them - I wait for them like a chorus in a good song. The way Diana comes out with a shield against machine guns and repels the fire, and the way she judges Dr. Poison with a tank raised in her hands - yes, it was worth watching for. In addition, it is impossible not to compare it with the first solo album of Captain America, which was openly a childless war in the style of piu-piu, a pathetic craft without a drop of realism, in which both the hero and the villain were humiliated. "Wonder Woman" looks more serious, and this war is much more believed. And a few words about Ares. Critics unanimously said that it should not have been shown in the flesh at all, leaving only the naive fantasy of Diana, who does not see the roots of evil in society itself. It could be a good scripting move in some other movie, but we’re talking about a DC comic book adaptation, and Ares WAS in it. You can’t just turn a canonical villain into a myth, as Mandarin once did in Iron Man 3, and fans didn’t forgive it. Therefore, the appearance of Ares was absolutely natural. However, the fact that the audience did not wait for the appearance of the main antagonist of Wonder Woman in the film Wonder Woman is a small phenomenon that suggests that the director made the viewer forget about DC and get involved in this particular plot, believe in its realism.
After the audience received Gal Gadot in the image of Wonder Woman, many immediately became interested in a solo film. For a long time planned to make a solo film, the events of which are developing in our time, that is, after BPS or a little later. I dare assume that the original character would be shown in the form of flashbacks, in short, the idea was controversial. I liked the result better.
There are no complaints about the Wonder Woman caste. Gal Gadot is beautiful, and what I fear is that after the reboot, I may not be able to accept a new actress in this role, unlike even Superman Cavill. The film was made on Snyder’s already made paper, so everything is relatively good. The Amazons themselves were presented at the same level in the film, although there are a few questions for them. Chris Pine in the role of Steve Trevor is also a good character, and the love line, the relationship with the Pebbles is conveyed as needed. And there is no smeared snot, and everything looks organic. In the film, many minor characters do not fit their role and are superfluous. Steve assembles a small force to fight in the war, but compared to Diana, they seem inferior and unnecessary. They were created as comic characters.
The action was enough for me and it is worthy, complementing with this good camera work and incredible acrobatic tricks of Diana. The antagonist turned out to be quite primitive, which appears at the end with a pathetic speech and a mega-low intimidating voice. He doesn’t have enough screen time, unfortunately.
In general, as shown by the atmosphere in the film, where people experienced the First World War, and as shown by London in the second act of the film – my respect.
The film adaptation came out quite juicy film with good musical accompaniment and contrasting picture.
From nothing to do, he looked at this creation and, thinking about the ambiguity of his sensations, attributed this opus to the negative.
From the positive: the actress for the main role is selected ideally for what such a movie is shot at all - beautiful and decisive, boldly and seductively shoots eyes, sometimes destroying men with a strong look, a slight movement of hands and smooth legs, destroys everything that is possible and impossible around herself, takes beautiful poses against the background of defeated enemies, cries without tears.
From the negative:
- scant, flap-linked plot, ill-conceived stories and characters, the illogicality of their actions. For example, it is not clear at all why a trio of assistants is introduced into the plot - a red-skinned leader, a Turkish citizen and an alcoholic sniper. The first uttered only one mysterious phrase that his people were offended by the Europeans and for some reason he found freedom in the war, the second couple of times tried unsuccessfully to philosophize, the third was generally useless, at the only moment when he could be useful to his colleagues, not even being able to shoot a rifle at an enemy sniper sitting in the tower. The whole picture, this trio hollowed and in the background shot at the enemies, not being able to shoot any. However, it is clear that these characters were introduced into the plot for mass character and for showing against the background of complete idiots Gol Gadot in a more favorable light.
The possibilities of the main character are truly unlimited. It was unclear why she needed to beat off bullets with cuffs, if she could just take and twist the earth into the ram horn along with all the supostats. It is not clear why in the end to endure a beating from the main antagonist, when you can just at one moment give your face a courageous, brutal expression and nail it to the ground with a lightning bolt.
In general, you can write a lot, but it makes no sense. I think the militant feminists should be in the movie.
When this film came out, my friends, including those who do not particularly like comic books, said that this film, unlike BPS or the Justice League, you can already watch.
I agree, we can watch it. You don't have to look. Because there's nothing to look at except Gal Gadot in a black suit. Here you can say warm words to the costumers, makeup artists and parents of the girl herself, they all tried their best.
To the rest, there are questions ranging from the plot, in which a young Amazon woman from the shores of her mysterious island is sent along with a Briton (played by an American, as if they could not find a beautiful Englishman) across the thirties to kill the War God Ares, who, in her opinion, unleashed World War I. It smells like naive nonsense, but it's comics and fiction, so it will.
In Britain, it turns out that men, although gentlemen, are all terrible chauvinists. Well, partly true, for those years, but then my first bell rang: why was it so necessary to focus on this?
Then the main character goes to war with his tin soldier and his "team". And then I had another question to the writers: and on what ice do they need in the story? Okay, Chris Pine, he's handsome, he's a love interest, but what's the rest of us doing? Like a Scottish sniper who never shoots for an entire movie or an Arab trader who doesn't bargain with anyone. To show how useless they are against the background of Diana?
And then they meet him. No, not like that, HIM! The war god aresa! He is more like a pedophile than the real God of War.
And then the final battle. And this battle was so CGI, so bright and colorful, that I had a headache and I turned off this epileptic nightmare.
The seventh film is “My Personal DC Cinematic Universe.” Now, DC movies have finally made it to the New 52. All films that have been made before are not related to subsequent films. That's the official version. But personally, there is nothing stopping me from considering these films and those shot on New 52 as interrelated. For example, the events of the same "League of Extraordinary Gentlemen" quite throw a bridge to this film - in "LVD" the main theme was to stop Moriarty, who was going to push countries into World War II and here - in "Wonder Woman" this very World War, quite goes. You just need a little imagination.
Now about the movie itself - it's very well made, it feels like Snyder's hand (thank you, again). Secondary characters fit well into the narrative, do not interfere where necessary - help. The villains are very interesting and colorful, and the 'fint by the ears' with Ares is simply magnificent. Who would have thought that a feeble, nondescript man is Ares? Even Diana herself is smitten by such a twist. After all, the German general by all indications was supposed to be Ares, but not.
The staging, the work of extras, the scenery, the action scene - everything is at an impeccable level. Diana and the Amazon costumes are perfectly made. Operator work and installation are smooth. The graphics are perfect. I personally enjoyed this movie a lot. Now by references: there were moments from the animated series Justice League (2001), elements from the game Injustice (2013), which was very pleased.
About the plot and 'what to what and why'. First of all, this film is the beginning of the narration of a new story, which received its continuation in subsequent films, shot in a single key, visual style and general plot component. The film is a story of the formation of one character. But the story itself is very interestingly presented and includes many extraordinary
components that have benefited him. There are many great moments in the film that increase the depth of disclosure and involvement. The choice for the lead role is very good. I would not say that perfect in appearance, but very well fit into the character by internal criteria (where necessary - Galya is combative and powerful, strong and brave, gentle and kind).

World War I. British pilot Steve Trevor accidentally falls on Themyscira - hidden from prying eyes island of the Amazons. Their Princess Diana is fascinated by the hero (five thousand years of life, and men have not seen), sails with him into the big world and soon becomes the key to victory over General Ludendorff, creating a new superweapon. . .
Female superheroic never really shone on the screens: “Supergirl” of the eighties (and the series from the CW is not particularly smooth), “Cat Woman”, “Electra” – all of them crashed. With the DC Cinematic Universe, things were not much better: commercial success coexisted with the back of the head from fans, critics, and ordinary viewers (not to mention the failed Green Lantern). In general, “Wonder Woman” had to puff out for a lot of controversial and failed films, and not yet turn into a feminist manifesto of the same serial “Supergirl”. And she survived.
Let's look at the setting first. Do we often see the First World War? Not really. And in a superhero, it seems, for the first time. And do blockbusters often show war so convincingly? Usually these are general plans with ruins and large-scale battle scenes. It also shows people who survived the disaster, intimidated, sometimes wounded, lying in the mud and do not know what awaits them. There are no cruel revelations and naturalistic scenes, but without them you can immediately see how terrible it is. At the same time, Steve’s friends are working, each with their own military cockroaches.
The heroes were mostly successful. Diana is naive, but formidable, kind, but when necessary, a tough warrior. Steve's friends are more of an extra, but so colorful that you don't want to scold them for one-dimensionality. Villains Ludendorff and Dr. Poison purely due to the charisma of the actors rise above many cinematic evil geniuses. And only Steve remains the right hero to the bone, suggesting memories of both Captain America (also called Steve), and Captain Kirk (played by the same Chris Pine), and many other boring idealists. But he has an important role in helping Diana become a superhero. In the story, they are equal (by the way, about feminism), and it is beautiful. But still, why couldn't Steve be made less puppet?
There are other observations. For example, villains with all the charisma came out openly standard bastards. Heroes sometimes pretentiously pronounce the obvious, and this is somewhat annoying. And reasoning about who spoiled people - themselves or some forces from above - does not lead anywhere.
But it's still a good movie. Against the general background of the agonizing movie universe, even beautiful. This is not a brilliant work of the level of "Guardians" (the director of which "Wonder Woman" produced), but quite strong and high-quality superhero original. In our time, it is difficult to make the history of formation so that it does not irritate the viewer. But director Paty Jenkins, actress Gal Gadot and company did great. And immediately after viewing the question remains only one: DC, why couldn’t it be immediately shot like this?

A superhero film based on the comic book of the same name by DC Comics with an impressive number of special effects and computer graphics about the Amazon warrior Diana (Gal Gadot) from the island of Themyscira (or Femiscira) with a trip to the First World War and a reference to the myths of Ancient Greece.
From the point of view of the picture and aesthetics, the film looks generally good - a beautiful woman in a combat suit made of metal fights in a war, scenes from which are shown in contrast to the bright appearance of the actress and the gloom of the surrounding very successfully. Although the script is typical for such films, with a straightforward plot and opposition of superheroes to villains, but with its own features that cause misunderstanding and bewilderment.
The film is directed by a woman (Patty Jenkins), for whom this is her second work after the bibliographic drama Monster, which tells the story of a woman who kills men for sexual reasons. In Wonder Woman, to some extent, the woman also kills men, though bad. A little strange parallel, but as the film progresses, you begin to suspect the director more and more of tendentiousness and that this may not be an accidental coincidence.
From the acting, you can note the excellent performance of Chris Pine, as well as Robin Wright, Danny Huston, David Thewlis, and Connie Nielsen, while the play of Gal Gadot is very ambiguous. Perhaps she has a more difficult role (?), and perhaps the scenes with her participation are not well thought out or spelled out, because half of the jokes are puzzling, and almost all the scenes in the first half of the film are a sense of falsity. The scene with the jump on the tower, when she falls, clings to the wall, in facial expressions of the actress and directing resembles a cartoon about the bear Bernard Alpinism. Farewell to your mother, which should look like a drama, as Connie Nielsen plays, from the point of view of Gal Gadot is a mix of indifference and joy at the fact that it was like stealing matches and no one noticed. In London, after dressing up in local clothes and becoming very apt to resemble Mary Poppins, Diana tries to walk through a revolving door with a shield and sword in her hands, reminiscent of Obelix's clumsiness. On the bridge, seeing the wounded and maimed on her face, she smirks and sounds words of pretended pity. Watching such scenes consistently one by one gives the impression of ambiguity and ridiculous comicality.
Since the heroes left the island of the Amazons, there are almost no women in the frame, and Diana is surrounded by men waging war. Diana looks at Steve so that a love scene is about to begin, but then it turns out that she looks at all the men, and at the German general, and Ares, and at the very strange fellow travelers who were picked up in London, among whom suddenly there was a North American Indian leader.
All this may seem touching naivety and spontaneity of the Amazon, as with the mermaid in Splash with Daryl Hannah, but no, Diana is very aware of her appearance and reaction to it. If you add to this an emphasis on sexy costume, it only adds questions to the overall image of the heroine - it is clearly not naivety, but rather tastelessness or stupidity. It's unlikely, but it's possible, given the director's previous work, that the filmmaker did, that a superwoman should be like a stupid, sexually attractive, primitive killer robot, and the victims should be men. And it is possible that everything is much simpler and the actress simply does not know how to play.
If by this point the viewer is not tired of figuring out what the actress and director is trying to show, then Diana’s reflections on the meaning of everything that is happening are waiting for him. At the end of the film, after the beautiful Amazon killed a fairly decent amount of enemy manpower, it turns out that all these events led to the conclusion of love, which and only she will save the world. Where in this murky story water without any feelings for others came love?
Impressions from viewing are generally positive, and the film is likely to appeal to female audiences (and perhaps even regardless of age) mainly due to the line of a strong woman, especially since there are very few superheroines and female role models in modern cinema, filled overwhelmingly with male superheroes. The film has good jokes, good shooting and acting, but because of the falsity of the main character, the whole film seriously loses. It's not a bad movie, but nothing more.
I love continuity in movies!!! In this case, we are not talking about continuity, but about the roll call between the paintings. The creators have built a bridge between the BPS and this picture! As we remember, Bruce Wayne still "at the dawn of justice" (say) came across an old photograph of the First World War, which depicted an Amazon warrior fighting side by side with Bets and Superman against Doomsday ... So, and this tape begins with the fact that Diana Prince receives an e-mail from Bruce Wayne this very photo. The princess is flooded with memories. And right up to the epilogue, we will follow these memories in a film called Wonder Woman. .
The main story of this work begins from the very childhood of the young Diana. A person of royal blood, feeling the spirit of a warrior, cannot sit in the royal chambers and wants to learn to fight. The Queen is not very enthusiastic about the idea and even issued such a femistirical decree prohibiting giving lessons to the little princess. But, as always happens in the movies, her aunt secretly teaches cute Diana military art. Time passed. And once the beauty of Themiscira saw not quite Paradise (even say: not Paradise) deeds. First, the pilot Steve broke through the shell of a paradise on a hijacked German aircraft, and there and there he was followed by military naval vessels. There is a battle of the divine Amazons with the German flotilla. One thing is clear to Femiskirka residents (I hope I have correctly named them): this could only have been done by Ares! . Steve is not so devout and says he was chased because he stole secret World War I gas weapon designs and needs to be delivered to London. So to speak, his way of "dealing with Ares" (for him it is in quotation marks) and end the war ... The main part of this story begins! .
Thus, DC presents an original about the heroine, which was hardly interesting to a large mass of the globe. And they do it in such a way that Wonder Woman has become discussed and even loved! ... for this they send the Amazon to war (from the fronts to the headquarters) - that is, they show how the divine bracelets and the lash of Truth, together with the strongest shield and armor, will manifest themselves, and how Diana will get to her Ares through shots and explosions ... Gal Gadot has already appeared in Zack Snyder’s Batman v Superman: At the dawn of justice. There she was in a couple of frames and scenes as an assistant. Here's her solo!
Overall, this is an amazing story! She's beautiful. She's fascinating. And she's pretty naive. Naive as the main character. While watching, I was able to relax and rest. There's something to catch on to here. Whether it's special effects, or even the beautiful actress herself! Miss Israel 2004, Gal Gadot is not just the winner of a beauty pageant there once, it is exactly what a professional actress! How wonderful that she was the one who passed the test!! Kristen Stewart even tried it out! That would have ruined the franchise on the fourth movie! Moreover, one thing is the appearance of Gal Gadot, and another is her embodiment in Wonder Woman!!! I just fell in love with Diana!!
What about the movie? Well, I get it. And the ending? And the junction has pumped a lot. Cartoon villains are half the trouble. And here's the finale. Jesus. Why are you doing this?! In place of the creators, it would not hurt to come up with a catch-up that, they say, it all happened either in the imagination of Diana, or somewhere out there, in the ephemeral divine world ... But no, they follow the comics. . .
Is this the best film in the DC and Warner lineup? Well, for me, it's on a level with Batman v Superman. Only for different reasons. It's pretty rocky. And here, on the contrary, the film was almost completely beautiful, so no, the creators freaked out at the end. . .
In any case, the emotions are purely positive after watching! And the music Junky Ax-El on the electric cello just excites!!

I don’t like superheroics, not my genre, and I’ve never loved it, except for the Spider-Man trilogy with Tobey Maguire. But it was a long time ago, now the “super” blockbusters flooded the rental. True, Wonder Woman is something else: a lot of good reviews, delights, recommendations, even from those people who are far from the topic. In the end, curiosity overcame skepticism, and I decided to watch. As a result, there is something to say, but about everything in order.
In fact, this film is not about people with superpowers – a film about a girl caught in the throat of a bloody war. Wonder Woman, hereinafter referred to as Diana, stands up for the weak and defenseless, seeks to end global lawlessness, thereby promoting the women's doctrine of "love will save the world." The idea is not foldable, but it is shown very convincingly, from which my inner Stanislavsky said: “I believe!”
The second, no less important point is that the ancient Greek god Ares, an antagonist, is not the main culprit in unleashing wars. Appointed by Diana as the root of all problems, Ares declares that he has nothing to do with it – people themselves staged a massacre, and he only encouraged them to more vile actions. It is not enough to blame all the sins of mankind on one person (especially the soapy one). That's all right! However, in the end, the authors spit on their own script. When the villain was victorious, peace immediately came, and the German soldiers became good at once. So is this all Ares' fault? And if he was killed, how did World War II begin? – the bloodiest and most destructive in history? For this scriptwriters should write a reprimand with a personal file.
The strength of the picture is represented by the main cast. Gal Gadot brilliantly gets into the image and just looks great. Composing a pair of captain Steve Trevor is perfectly spelled out as a character, actor Chris Pine in places slightly overplays, but still looks organic. The most important thing is that they willingly believe in the chemistry of their relationship, and the finale breaks into a tear.
There are complaints about minor characters, mainly due to the fact that the members of Trevor’s team are selected very strangely. The nationality of the Samir is not proclaimed, but the Turks are involuntarily seen, as evidenced by the Ottoman fesca. And this is not clear, because the Turks in the First World War were allies of the Germans. Although it is impossible not to admit, the character is very colorful. Charlie is the best sniper, but he is afraid to shoot. We were not shown a clear reason and background, except for a fleeting episode in which he sang, only this is not enough - since you said "A", then say "B". The Indian is the fifth wheel to the plot glued. Its function is a couple of replicas, but more on that later. General Ludendorff is a cliché, and I will not speak for long. Ares does not resemble the ancient Greek god at all, and perhaps the authors deliberately made him so to preserve intrigue.
The question of so-called “tolerance” caused me the greatest concern, but it turned out to be in vain. If “Captain Marvel” or “Birds of Prey” was all about fighting the hated patriarchy, then “Wonder Woman” is not about that. Men are not shown faint-hearted bastards, on the contrary - Trevor even commits a feat, sacrificing himself. But manifestations of “tolerance” are manifested in racial backgrounds. The Amazons represent ancient Greek culture, so why are they both white and black? Samir is a failed actor because of the “wrong skin color.” The Indian was included in the plot, only for the sake of a replica about the destruction of his people by the Americans. Maybe he's right, but that's not enough for a full role. All this is not critical in the framework of the film, but all this is already tired.
Humor is good enough. For the most part, these are naively cute jokes in the context of the savage’s acquaintance with the modern world. At some point he laughed in his voice. In some places, however, humor reached the level of Spanish shame, specifically episodes in a cave and a boat. "Haha, how witty! Jokes about ... you get it. It would be nice to write them correctly, but it did not work.
Battle scenes are a significant drawback of the picture. The action itself is poorly set, and slurred installation further aggravates the situation. And fine scene in the village, but the final match, stuffed with inept graphics, looks miserable. By the way, graphics and computer special effects can also be attributed to the disadvantages of the film.
In the end, the movie exceeded my expectations. Of course, with its advantages and disadvantages, but the pros outweigh: an interesting plot, an intelligible meaning, well, it is pleasant to look at Gal Gadot, not without this! Recommended viewing.
This film tells the story of a superhero woman who is forced to leave her home to save humanity from a global threat.
Diana (Gal Gadot) lives on a mythical island of Amazon women, hidden by Zeus himself from human eyes. Amazons are famous for their fighting and intellectual skills. The main character herself seems to have a different origin, since at the beginning of the story she appears before us as a child, the only one on a paradise island. Diana's mother (Connie Nielsen) warns her to stay away from military studies, but the militant girl still begins to learn her powers with General Antiope (Robin Wright), who sees her as a huge combat potential.
Soon, unexpectedly for everyone near the island crashes plane British pilot Steve (Chris Pine), followed by German soldiers. It turns out that Steve is a spy who stole from a deadly chemist (Helena Anaya) a notebook with formulas of a secret chemical weapon capable of rekindling the rapidly coming to an armistice World War I. Diana decides to help Steve find the German general (Denny Houston), who is behind the funding of the work of the aforementioned chemist, and who she believes is the ancient Greek god of war - Ares.
This film is part of the DC Cinematic Universe and the first truly successful female superhero film. The tape was enthusiastically accepted by critics and very well received by the audience, giving a solid amount of box office in the world box office. Such zero attempts as “Catwoman” and “Electra” can not boast of either, being rather the subject of ridicule and “memes” because of their extremely weak plot ideas.
It is worth noting the excellent work of the film’s screenwriter Alan Heinberg, who managed to contrast the paradise of the Amazons with the grayness of wartime. Just the same shown scenes of the intervention of the superheroine in the battle of the First World War are shown simply stunningly, in contrast to Marvel’s “First Avenger”, which demonstrated Captain America during World War II very superficially and without interestingly played battle scenes, although it would seem that this character should serve as a guide in such paintings.
Extremely sweet interaction of Diana and Steve gives the viewer not only a beautiful love line, but also memorable humorous scenes, in particular, an uncomfortable conversation about the gender difference on a sailboat and fitting on supergirl outfits with the aim of merging it with everyday life in London.
And of course, the main message of the tape is remarkable. Humanity is full of vices and the world is full of both good representatives and not the best. And whatever leader is behind all the worst, the final choice is what each individual does.
“Wonder Woman” is currently the best comic book about a female superhero, who managed to tell the story of her formation in a non-trivial and dynamic way, deeply and clearly show the horror of the world war and naturally and naturally reveal a trembling romantic connection between two halves of one whole.
The DC Universe decided to launch very quickly and then overtake Marvel. As we know, they didn't quite succeed. Of course, Zack Snyder did everything he could, making visually almost flawless films about superheroes.
But at some point it went too far: Wonder Woman popped up on the big screens. Another archaic character and feminism icon. You should be careful with this, so the director's chair was entrusted to Patty Jenkins.
In the first solo superhero movie, the most important thing is to be original. We all know the stories of these characters. Interesting told about the murder of Bruce Wayne's parents / paintfully described the color of a radioactive spider - you already have a few points in favor of the project.
With "Wonder Woman" everything turned out surprisingly well. And the backstory about the kingdom of the Amazons was shown to us, and the heroine was sent to the front of the First World War, and the integrity of the plot was not forgotten.
Diana Prince in this film will face the world of people for the first time and understand that Ares is not forging wars.
The strongest part of the film is the tandem of Steven and Diana. For the most part, it is the merit of actors, Gal Gadot and Chris Pine. But the dialogues are well written. This is the case when the exposition is presented properly, without pouring all the data about the new world for the character in a single replica of a paragraph.
“Wonder Woman” is an excellent superhero film, which competently uses all the necessary components: from the story of the struggle between good and evil to really memorable music. In addition, the movie plunges into an era that is not so often talked about, as the Second World War was closer.
I’ve never been a big fan of DC comics. For me, they are too gloomy, but even among them there are very useful samples (only Superman and Batman are worth what). Today we’re going to talk about female superhero movies in every sense of the word. In my male-dominated view, director Patty Jenkins managed to do almost the impossible. She managed to make a movie with a very strong feminist overtones, which is nice to watch. The feminine principle in this picture is elevated to the absolute, but it is not shown here as intrusively as in the same ' Captain Marvel' despite the fact that both women in their settings are goddesses!
Naivety. I would like to make this feature of the picture separately, because it accompanies the main character throughout the timekeeping. It looks pretty cute at first, then it’s funny. Then it begins to annoy, and at the end it begins to frankly infuriate. I certainly understand that the world of WW is radically different from the rest. . . But! During the whole film, she spent a lot of time in it and even to the very victorious end managed to make a fool of herself. And that despite everything she saw and learned. Of course, naivety comes with the awkwardness that accompanied me personally throughout the viewing. The first couple of times it was funny, then it was not to laugh, except that he was hysterical.
Actors. Separately, I would like to note the choice of the actress for the main role. Gal Gadot just fit perfectly into this image. It is corny to look at, and it does not cut your eyes. – Brie Larson However, the fact that the main character is played by Gal Gadot, there is some irony. The film takes place during the First World War, and it looks very funny the fact that the Israeli woman ' Mesit' Germans ... I very much hope that WW will not be in the setting of the Second World War, otherwise this irony will be stronger than it.
As for the villains, of which we have two. The first one is one big walking cliché, and if someone told me he was russkiy, I wouldn’t be surprised. There was so much more to come up with. It's not the actor's fault, it's just the script. As for the second antagonist, his image was saved solely thanks to the acting of David Thewlis. The role he got very difficult, and he coped with it perfectly.
Action. The time has come to justify the title of this review. It is no coincidence that I compared this film to the DICE series. See for yourself: the setting of the First World War, the general chaos on the battlefield, people who can destroy the church alone. All of this and a few other things reminded me of Battlefield 1. Even the hat of one of the main characters is exactly the same as in the game. And the general chaos and unreality of what is happening only add to the confidence that WW will lose its goal 'Drozd' If you evaluate the action in general, I would compare it to Battlefield V – not finished!

This film can be seen once. He won't be annoying or infuriating. Gal Gadot is beautiful, but from the final point in the conflict of her heroine you will be flooded with hysterical laughter.
In 1941, the legendary psychologist and inventor of the lie detector William Marston created the cult superheroine Wonder Woman, who became one of the first female characters to possess superhuman power and is considered a feminist icon in modern pop culture. Despite such popularity, until recently, the story of Princess Diana from Themiscira was filmed only in animated series. And here in 2017 saw the light of the long-awaited full-length film, moreover, directed by a woman director.
On the picturesque shores of an island of paradise, alone in the middle of the ocean and living beyond time and space, begins the story of Diana, a young princess of the Amazons, whose origins are shrouded in mystery. One day, a young British intelligence officer, Steve Trevor, accidentally penetrates the island, hiding from the German military, as he holds important intelligence in his hands that can end the First World War, in which the whole world is immersed. Diana, confident that the war is the work of the arch enemy of the Amazons, the god Ares, decides to help Steve and goes with him to the outside world, for which she will become a savior nicknamed “Wonder Woman.”
The game of actors "Wonder Woman" refers to the classic film adaptation of comics, in which the actors simply got used to the images of characters from the comics, not particularly humanizing them on the screen. For the Israeli actress and model Gal Gadot, this film was a real breakthrough in world cinema, although, most likely, with this film, she is now entrenched in the image of the “fighter”, as at one time was fixed for Mila Jovovich or Michelle Rodriguez. In any case, Diana performed by Gal Gadot is a serious, experienced and determined heroine who remains a kind, friendly and charming girl at heart. Chris Pine, who played the role of Diana’s companion Steve Trevor, embodied the image of a real scout who realizes his share of a cog in a large car, but is ready to rush into battle first if it saves lives and stops violence. Speaking of other performers, it is difficult to single out anyone, since we have seen similar characters many times in other similar productions, like the same Spider-Man or Batman.
From this position, the film is notable for the fact that it was shot by a female director, namely Patty Jenkins, whose experience in big cinema is only limited to the psychological drama about the American serial killer Eileen Wuornos “Monster”, for which Charlize Theron received her Oscar. That is, Jenkins has not had much experience in filming major blockbusters and action films. However, taking into account the loud parcel in “Monster”, she was ideal for the director’s chair, since she had the task not just to shoot the film adaptation of “Wonder Woman”, but to give the world a heroine, who at one time became a symbol of many movements. In any case, the feminist subtext is felt during viewing, since it is women who are strong and strong-willed characters here, while men, although they have physical strength, the ability to knock out the enemy at the first blow, but still from the point of view of psychology they are not as strong as one might expect. It is noteworthy that even one of the antagonists is a woman, Doctor Poison (played by the favorite of Spanish cinema Elena Anaya), who in fact is the only one who invented the weapon, the use of which the main characters so desperately tried to stop. But despite all that subtext, Wonder Woman looks bright and exciting as an action movie. So, the scenes with fights looked spectacular, albeit ridiculous, given the love of such films to violate the laws of physics and gravity.
The plot begins in our days, where Diana, working as an appraiser at the Louvre, receives a package with a photo of herself and her friends during the First World War. At this point, the viewer is transported to the past, where we see the heroine growing up on Themiscira, the magical island of the Amazons, hidden from the outside world. Although Diana sincerely dreamed of becoming such a warrior, her desire was constantly resisted by her mother, who knows about the origin of Diana so that she would play a key role in the fight against her main enemy Ares. But the story begins with the miraculous appearance on the island of the British intelligence officer Steve Trevor, who had previously been sent by his command to the German rear, namely, to a military laboratory under the leadership of the cruel General Ludendorff and a mad woman chemist Isabel Maru nicknamed Doctor Poison, who are engaged in the production of gas that can destroy any enemy or even the whole world. Steve himself is hiding from the Germans after stealing Dr. Poison's notebook, which contains important information, including about the gas. Diana, hearing Steve’s story, is sure that everything that happens in the real world is the work of the god of war Ares, who at one time forced the Amazons to hide forever from the outside world. The heroine decides that the only way to put an end is to destroy Ares. Together with Steve, the girl goes to the outside world, where she manages to show her abilities in all colors, putting both enemies and friends who did not expect from her. The real challenge for Diana is finding Ares, as the real villain reveals his identity during an unexpected ending. In general, from the point of view of the plot of “Wonder Woman” again is not much different from other similar films.
Of course, you should not expect something extraordinary or special from Wonder Woman. Once again, the film is a typical example of the classic film adaptation of comics, where the hero or heroine, who recently realized their power, after going through pain and despair, find their purpose, namely, the fight against the evil to which they devote their lives. Still, the film lacks the humanization of the characters, as in the case of the recently seen “Guardians” or “Boys”. At the same time, I especially liked the fact that the film lacks declarable pathos and imposed morality, i.e. a certain simplicity is present in it.
This film is a breath of fresh air in the DC Cinematic Universe. When I went to the movies, I didn’t expect much. I knew he was going to be good and he really came out very decent.
Competent balance of superheroics, history and mythology. And the themes that come up in the film really make you think. Something from the category of “Is it worth judging everyone by one person” or “Don’t blame someone for all the troubles of the world, start with yourself”, and also that sometimes it is important to give a second chance. Well, as one of the messages, perhaps the main one, is that you don't have to have a superpower to be a hero. He lives in each of us, you never know where and how he will manifest himself.
At first, Diana’s naiveté is very cutting and annoying, but by the end of the film, it’s nice to watch her metamorphosis. She begins to understand and perceive the real world, albeit through a series of tragic events, but this is all that helps her look at the world without pink glasses. Even Wonder Woman needs a shake-up.
Good fighting scenes, but sometimes it seems that there is a clutter under Snyder (a lot of slowo, albeit to the place) and music (is she with you? – the soundtrack of my life).
We read the twist with the villain, I think it was still possible to play with him more interesting.
I think that Gal Gadot is a perfect fit in the image, and in general caste pleased.

What matters is what you believe. And I believe in love.
Another movie from the DC movie force. I honestly admit I'm not a big DC fan. So I was going to watch this movie for a long time. Finally, my hands finally came.
The plot tells the prehistory of Diana, princess of the Amazons. She was born without knowing her true origin. Sincerely believing that she is sculpted from clay, she is eager to serve her people. But everything changes when a man crashes in the waters of the Amazon and talks about what is happening in the outside world. And that's when Diana decides she can't stay away. . .
The role of Diana was performed by the beautiful Gal Gadot, I saw her in the franchise 'Farsage' I think she is the most important highlight of the film. Her sparkling smile and eyes are full of wonder and delight. She played a very strong and independent woman. Perhaps she was able to give the film a special gloss.
And most importantly, my favorite Chris Pine starred in the film, he played Steven Trevor. I’ve been adoring Chris since the movie The Princess Diaries 2'. This is one of the main reasons why I decided to watch the movie.
But the villains did not impress me, they did not inspire terror, but rather created feelings of disgust. And Ares could have been made more spectacular.
Overall, I really liked the film. It's spectacular, sensual and spectacular. And despite the fact that it is fantastic and action, anyway, the film showed the terrible side of the war. And reflecting Diana's understanding that the world is not clearly divided into good and bad. I might add that the film reminds me a little bit of the Marvel movie & #39; The First Avenger' but maybe because the events take place around the same time.
To sum it up, it’s probably the only DC comic book movie I’ve seen so far that I wanted to watch again.

'Wonder Woman' is the fourth DC Expanded Universe film, and surprisingly only the second 'solar' After 'Man of Steel' followed by 'Batman v Superman' and Command 'Suicide Squad'. Against the background of these paintings, the story of the princess of the Amazons promised to become something unusual, new, memorable, and opening other horizons even then lame movie universe. After all, films about superheroines do not appear often. Did she do the job? The question is debatable ... yes and no.
In general terms, the film is the personification of the main character. On the one hand, she seems smart, well-read, studies a lot of information about the world around her, speaks a lot of languages, and everything like that... and on the other, she is as naive as it is impossible to be naive at her age and with her knowledge. If Diana has studied history well, she can make the obvious conclusion that war is normal for human civilization. However, she is genuinely surprised by what happens outside the island on which she lives during the First World War.
Separately, it is worth talking about its very origin. The DC Cinematic Universe continues the tradition of the Suicide Squad 39 and adds to the already slightly uneven series of films of the ancient Greek gods. That is, cinema openly recognizes the existence in the local universe of god-like creatures that have an objective impact on the events taking place. If ' OS' added, albeit strange, but particle magic, then 'Wonder Woman' adds Zeus and Ares to the world where Batman and Superman exist. Even if such events took place in the comics (which I have not read), then on the screen in contrast to other, already released, pictures of the universe everything becomes strange, overloaded and disparate.
Speaking about the characters of the tape, only the main characters are remembered first of all. The secondary characters, despite all the efforts to make them as individual as possible, are only the background for showing the war not only in bad colors and filling the timeline of the picture. The team that Diana gathers along the way is not remembered, as is the team of Captain America in 'First Avenger'.
The film has many similarities with Joe Johnston. Again a superhero with a shield, fighting at the front against the German state in the entourage of the world war, again he assembles a team that is not remembered for anything special, again the antagonist has a scientist from whom he is trying to get universal weapons, again the scene with the plane at the end of the film and a bunch of other moments, to talk about which is spoiler. Is it a coincidence? It's hard to say. . .
In all superhero tapes there is some idea that threads through the entire narrative of the picture. 'Wonder Woman' is no exception and traditional moral messages take place. However, the main idea of the film, a deep enough thought that could turn the adventures of the Amazon princess on the English front into a serious dramatic film, the authors simply ruined the finale of the tape, which looks naive even for such a movie, and incredibly stupid from the point of view of history and logic.
However, it is impossible to say unequivocally that the solo did not succeed. That's not true. It has something to look at. First of all, it is a fairly high-quality visual series. Action, scenery, costumes, shooting, editing - everything is done at the highest level. Secondly, it's a good acting game. Gal Gadot was perfect for the role of a superheroine, and Chris Pine skillfully plays an intelligent, but brave military, trying to get along in a situation where both the task must be performed and the Amazon goddess should not be given away.
Summing up, it is worth saying that the film turned out to be "truly female". It can’t be called bad, but it can’t be called good either. He has a beautiful picture, but it only hides all the shortcomings of the script and plot. He has a good and deep idea, but it is banal not pressed, but ends at the most important moment. It seems to expand the DC universe, but makes it even more confusing and heterogeneous. The main character knows a lot, but does not understand the difference between a secretary and a slave. In general, real female contradiction...
'Wonder Woman' - an excellent comic book, which, although lacks some originality and original directorial handwriting, but still the tape is more than worthy of attention. All lovers of beautiful girls throwing tanks - welcome to Themyscira.
Diana, who grew up with Amazons all her life on an island hidden from prying eyes, finds herself in the human world for the first time, wanting to stop a war that has no end and which will later become known as the First World War. On her way, the princess of the Amazons will meet both loyal comrades and opponents, for the first time learn love and discover the beautiful truth about herself - in general, a fairly standard set for a solo superhero film, in which, nevertheless, there is something to pay attention to.
First of all, I want to mention the incredible Gal Gadot, describing her with one capacious word - the goddess. Wonder Woman performed by the Israeli actress was magnificent in 'Batman v Superman' becoming a real decoration of an already iconic canvas, but here it opened to the full. Gal Gadot not only plays the powerful princess of the Amazons, she does not just look organic in this image, but, as they say, was born for the role of Diana. She feels the strength and fragility, and love, and the fury of the battle, and passion – an absolutely amazing woman, in which the original character of the comics is undoubtedly clearly visible.
The screen pair Gal Gadot was composed by handsome Chris Pine as Steve Trevor, who, as in the comics, became a guide for Diana into the world of people. There is nothing to say about Chris, he is as always beautiful and charming, his role in the plot is quite important, and in the relationship between his hero and the character Gal Gadot, there is actually chemistry, which is very important.
It is worth paying tribute to the director Petty Jenkins - she plays well on contrasts, clearly separating the almost fabulous Themyscira with its riot of colors and almost complete absence of worries, and the human world, torn not only by war, but also by industrialization. At the same time, Petty Jenkins quite reliably managed to show the horrors of war, within the rating, of course, but nevertheless, for this she has another plus.
The narration in 'Wonder Woman' is quite dynamic, and even when the plot stops for a while, these minutes are devoted to revealing both central and secondary characters, and you will definitely not get bored. It will not allow you to fall asleep and stunning action, which spoils only a rather budget graphics, then and then cutting the eye. However, Diana's fights with the opponent (s) look quite cheerful, dynamic, and even accompanied by an excellent soundtrack (yes, including the drive track Is She With You? from Hans Zimmer, who hit the soul of the audience in ' BPS').
However, there is a spoonful of tar in this barrel with beautiful honey. First, there are incomprehensible antagonists, of which there are several at once, but none of them arouses sufficient interest. Unless Ares was potentially good, but his image was destroyed by scriptwriters from kindergarten. The second is the end of the story. I will not spoil, but the finale disappointed me again with his 'childhood'.
Getting to the finale - 'Wonder Woman' this, again, is a great comic book, which is really worth spending time on. A good story, entertainment and charming Gal Gadot in the image of one of the icons of DC comics - what else can you want?
One of the most famous superheroes in the world has finally hit the big screens. It took decades, but the world seemed ready for it. "Wonder Woman" immediately announced itself. I can see why. This film is intended to raise important gender issues in addition to entertainment. The place of women in this world, especially as they were treated a hundred years ago.
The picture shows two different worlds: the world of the Amazons and the world of people. On the screen, this is clearly visible with the proposed picture. On the island of Themyscira it is bright and warm colors, the splendor of plants and the blue sea. In the world of people it is faded tones, everywhere dirt, smoke. You can feel the cold on you. In my opinion, the director managed to convey such two different worlds. It's kind of a message. Themyscira is a world of harmony with nature that once existed in humans. The second world is a world of wars and constant conflicts between people and nature.
Director Patty Jenkins made a beautiful picture. She questions the modern world through the prism of the raging war she places Diana in. She's naive and doesn't yet know our world well. That’s why we hear naive questions from her throughout the film, but they are very correct, they make you think.
Gal Gadot perfectly demonstrates the image of Wonder Woman. Especially when you unwittingly compare her to her own BPS game. She is wise and has seen many things. In the same film, everything is new to her. It is simple and honest, somewhere soft enough. Gadot perfectly demonstrates this on the screen.
Chris Pine is slightly ambiguous as Steve Trevor. There was a conflicting feeling. He seemed like a flat-footed hero to me, but Pine is good, his task accomplished. He is such a good guy, as befits the main character.
The visuals are high. The picture is beautiful, even those scenes of war. Each frame is properly displayed. The action is many, it is created with love and attention to detail. Humor is enough. Not much, not little. The music is good. In my opinion, of course, Hans Zimmer’s work is lacking, but its main theme is traced in the accompanying film, making a reference to the existing cinematic universe.
The film “Wonder Woman” is perfect for young people and especially girls, will teach you to be strong and at the same time truly feminine. I would definitely recommend it.
I finally got to another movie. This time, the choice fell on, oddly enough, the DC universe. And specifically on 'Wonder Woman'.
Overall, it was very average. There are many simple stories in the modern film/game industry. Quite often they differ in mediocre: atmosphere, intrigue, plot. But sometimes there are really good stories, with interesting twists and unexpected plot moves. Unfortunately, this is not about this movie. Everything is extremely predictable and banal, even though there is a change of era and an unusual location at the beginning. It makes no sense to go into the details of the plot, since almost everything is already described in the sentence above, from which it follows that the script work is very, very simple.
The atmosphere is also a big problem. Although the point atmosphere of the First World War was transferred. The development of the characters is absolutely simple, the characters of the second plan are absolutely unnecessary and often annoying.
Gal Gadot certainly has natural beauty and attracts attention, but it is only partially convincing. Whether because of a poorly written character, or because of not always convincing play. This is the first really big film of this actress and I wish her good luck. I hope that we will see it not only in superhero sagas.
There's no need to talk about villains. They do not contribute anything intelligible to the plot, create their own gas and want to kill everyone. I guess that's it. Who they are, why history leaves unanswered. And it is understandable, because watching such characters is absolutely uninteresting. The graphics, especially at the beginning of the film, are unrealistic.
Now to the positives. The musical accompaniment of Rupert Gregson-Williams is very qualitatively beautiful and adds at least a little atmosphere to what is happening. Also in the picture surprisingly good ' slowdown', although not always appropriate, but quite well set. There are a couple of good jokes closer to the middle, with a bit of vulgar overtones.
Overall, the film makes a strange impression. He's not too bad, but he's not good either. For viewing fans of this genre - a must, at least in order to make your own opinion about the picture. For the rest of the audience, one time.
Wonder Woman is an example of a picture whose merits lie on the surface, and the shortcomings are slightly less noticeable, and they want to be disassembled in detail, since they, for all their unflappiness, are indicative.
Pros are obvious - filigree fit into the image of Gal Gado; thoughtful story of the main character, tied to mythology and well-known characters (Amazon, Zeus, Ares); special effects; scale of scenes; intriguing layer of the DC-universe with a well-made application of the heroine in the confrontation between Batman and Superman.
It turns out that even with so many trump cards on your hands, you can slide into a pretty passable movie, qualitatively inferior to the blockbusters of Marvel.
First, in the picture Patty Jenkins was not without frank narrative blunders and violations of cause and effect. Inconsistencies and unanswered questions, a whole lot, for clarity I will point out only some of them.
Like what happened to Zeus? If even the leader of the Amazons is alive, why did the chief and most powerful of the gods not live to see the events described? Ares, defeated by Zeus, survived. Then why did the German squadron, the warships, and the entire fleet not attack the Amazon island, finding it and losing a dozen scouts there? Especially if the island's defenses are weakened. Oh, by the way, why did it weaken so suddenly? Here are just a few questions, leaving unanswered seems devastating for the reputation of the picture.
Let's get straight to action. Staging action scenes leaves a double impression. All of them, it seems, do not cut the eye, but do not cause a wow effect. There is too much slow-mo in the film, but apart from the rotation of Gado in the air, there are no original techniques and spectacular battles at all. Wonder Woman is simply invulnerable, we are diligently proven, forgetting that the viewer is rooting primarily for those who are harmed. At least minimal.
The character of Captain Trevor in the plot is a daring and fearless scout, a cunning spy. Anything, you can even close your eyes to the fact that the sought-after qualities of a great scout are generally far from brightness and audacity, but in the performance of a teenage bully Chris Pine, whose role is ' charming scumbag' in Hollywood so still not really realized, such a transformation looks comical. A scout and an experienced military is definitely not for Chris. His character in the film comes out flustered, and his team 'friends' in no way involved in the process and not really revealed. Wonder Woman could have done it without them.
All these shortcomings, coupled with a simple and primitive solution to the power of the main character, make the debut picture of the franchise moderately interesting, for once.
A film that is recognized (by critics and many viewers) as the best in the cinematic universe. I don't think so. Cinema, of course, better than some others, but not much. Patty Jenkins - coped (so they say), I think it could have been better. I watched the film in the cinema, there is no special desire to review, although. ..
(after 136 controversial and boring, and sometimes wasted minutes)
Wonder Woman, aka Diana Prince, is a beauty, yes, she is hot. All the fault of Gal Gadot, which I like and the whole film distracts from the rest, and this, if you read the paragraphs below, is very good. I love Gal Gadot, again, the fault of her type, which is as close to me as possible. I probably wouldn’t have gone to this movie, even though I love DC comics, if Diana wasn’t playing Gadot. What-what? Does she have too small breasts to play Diana? I don't think so, buddy. They're human, after all. I like Diana’s costume, it works like that. Diana is a symbol of feminism or was it, regardless, in any case, it is exaggerated and elevated to the absolute, and this, I want to tell you, is unsettling. I almost broke down when feminists staged a baragoz because Gal Gadot's armpits were shaved. I don’t care about basic hygiene, but be consistent with men. Oh, darlings! As for the Amazons themselves, I would definitely stay with them on the island, they are attractive, strong and self-sufficient. I liked Antiope, the mentor of Diana, although her fate is clichéd, but she is so harsh, a real warrior in appearance and soul. Noble in thought - noble in deed.
Ares - God of war and something. Why didn't I remember? Cartoon villain, too trivial, is it? I'm always for more down-to-earth antagonists. They are more interesting and multifaceted, you can identify with them. What can we expect from Ares? Primitive philosophy, moreover, raped philosophy, by type - ' People suck. Join me, I have rabbits or, much nicer, little piglets.' Piglets, they're so cute. If he has drama, he doesn’t want to believe it, he doesn’t see it as something really interesting and meaningful. Moreover, there is no desire for any God to empathize. After all, he’s God, what’s there to feel for? In my rendition, his far-fetched atrocities look nothing more than - he kicks puppies, takes away children's ice cream, steals Christmas and in general he's good, just nobody understands him. This mediocrity has made it clear to me that history does not offer surprises. I am allergic to primitives, but sometimes I turn a blind eye to them. Intrigue, which, like, should work, in fact, not only does not work, moreover, everything is extremely predictable, and the actor took the most dissimilar, but, unfortunately, that is what gives him away. I do not want to agree with him, his views and speeches are pathetically sweet, and he himself looks (in armor) to nausea typical, without a highlight.
Integral and powerful context in the film is not observed, the theme raised in the film is mediocrely merged. Why do people fight? Is it because of God or because they want to? The topic is not disclosed, or rather, extremely superficially, not taking into account that Diana watches ordinary soldiers carrying out orders. The orders of the proverbial cones who sit their asses in their bunkers, the orders of those who seek blood, and as we know, the one who seeks it always finds it. The orders of those who take off in their planes, with those who please them, forgetting about ordinary people, and they will circle in the sky, while everything will burn down. Quite without trying to look at it differently, or at least to develop an age-old theme, we are given an absolutely raw and sterile history. The flight for imagination and thought was high. And why is it the First World War? Very banal. Of course, Diana needed a reason to be disappointed in people, and war can really contribute to this, but, in the end, why does Patty Jenkins not want to be original, different from the rest? There are many reasons to be disappointed in people.
By the way, there are some really funny things about how Diana adapts to her new world. The moment she tries on her clothes is fun. The ice cream moment is banal. The line with Steve is cute and even touching. Steve Trevor is a typical British spy. He's intelligent and well-groomed. Chris Pine is a good actor, for him such roles should not be difficult. Action? Only one moment is when Diana breaks into the house to the sound of Hans and Janki, deciding to fight several soldiers, arranging a battle with breakdancing elements, having only a sword and a shield, while the Germans have guns. I like that style. It is a pity that at one point it is clear that instead of Gadot - a double.
As a result, it turns out that we have a worthless antagonist, a weak story (rather, without sharpness), a hulking action, but a beautiful Diana and her sisters. Patty does not know how to shoot blockbusters and tell intriguing and sharp stories, but, I must admit, her love lines are not bad, I am a little sad. The second movie promises to be better. The villain is more interesting. In general, Diana had an interesting role in 'Flashpoint'. If they make a film, it should be unreal (hard to imagine). Unfortunately, this movie is a little below average.
I recently watched the movie ‘Wonder Woman’ & #39. And I can’t give this picture a negative, but also a positive review.
I would not like to evaluate the special effects and other innovations of the film, because today is 2018 and all this everywhere abounds and at a decent level.
First, I would like to mention the actors. The charming Gal Gadot played wonderfully, in some places there was not enough more emotionality, but maybe ' Wonder Woman' she is unnecessary, so this is my personal opinion. In appearance, she fit exactly, and especially in physical data, not for nothing Gal served two years in the Israeli army. As it seemed to me, her participation in this film is quite accidental, because the theme of World War I and World War II is close to her family.
As for Chris Pine, he played as always at his decent acting level. His piercing and sensual look, smile, seriousness, involvement in the world of the First World War, all this is visible on the screen, all this in its own way conveys the emotions, lives and desires of men who wanted to do something important during the war, something that would help people, albeit not everyone. Chris is known for many roles, and this role will definitely join his collection of honest roles played with the greatest dedication.
As for the plot. I can tell - the plot corresponds to the comic, everything is predictable and understandable. As always, good conquers evil, but with losses. But is that bad? Predictability of the plot is not always a disadvantage for the film, because the film must convey a certain meaning and it conveys it. The idea of the film is clear, the characters and their actions are also clear, so the film was shot at the proper level. Thanks to everyone who worked on the painting.
You may be wondering if you should watch the movie or not. I think that your attention is worthy of the film, yes, you will not review it every year (although who knows, if you are an ardent fan of comics, then you can and will), but watching you will not weigh and will allow you to spend time pleasantly and beautifully.

39 Do you think if you put on her glasses, she will stop being the most beautiful woman in the world?
I’m more of an opponent of superhero movies than a fan. I try not to watch such masterpieces ', since the plots in them are the same type, and adults in specific clothes do not inspire sympathy. But in this case, the movie suddenly wanted to see. Especially considering that the main role went to Paul Gadot, which became ' Miss Israel'. Such regalia make you pay attention to the career of the girl, and such a serious role can bring them to a new level of popularity. And to be honest, she did. Watching an attractive girl who through the centuries tries to save humanity from the God of War Ares is quite interesting. Very nice and her acquaintance with the world of people. After all, at one point she realizes that people do not deserve her, because there is sin in each of them.
The storyline is the same as in all DC movies. A superhero is a villain, saving humanity. Seeing it through the lens of World War II is no longer unusual. Immediately comes to mind the interpretation of the game 'Bladraine' on the big screens.
A huge budget allowed Patty Jenkins to shoot really large-scale battle scenes. The romantic component in the film throws only its sincerity, but nothing innovative in itself is not fraught.
The film is not even for fans of blockbusters about superheroes saving the world from the real evil. It is rather a film about the assimilation of the Pure and the Nine Man in an external and hostile environment.

To be honest, I’ve only watched two or three DC movies, so I can tell you straight, without looking back at the other movies, I liked the movie.
The theme of feminism is not pedaled.
A good love line
- Good fighting scenes
The first one caught my eye almost immediately. In the film there is no opposition between men and women with a significant preponderance of the latter, no insults to both sexes, even some statements against Diana during the film do not spoil the picture, they are appropriate for the time that is shown.
Two. Yeah, no love. I like that the love line does not cover the main plot, it is not given more time than necessary, it rather goes next to the main idea, complementing it. Very tender and touching relationship between the heroes. I especially liked the scene in the liberated village. In the comments, I noticed negative reviews about this scene, allegedly, what fun is it when there is a war around? Aren't these times the days of peace most valued? It was very well shown. The whole film is about war, but such moments are like a ray of light, which reminds that there is still room for good and love even during war.
About the fight scenes. Very spectacular, in my opinion. It is impossible to come off, catch every movement (and quietly envy that you can not do the same), excellent weapons, no tension in movements. Actresses who play Amazons are born with swords and bows. Fight scenes are already in ' our world' just as good.
Of course, if you start to find fault with the logic of actions and think:' Who would do this in reality?', then the score will be lower, because ' not realistic'. But let’s not forget that the main characters of this film are kind of idealistic. They believe in what they do. It is no longer a question of money or fear.
Diana herself is gorgeous. I don’t think anyone could have played better than Gadot. Naive, light, with fire in her eyes, fearless Amazon. I immediately had a suspicion that she was the daughter of Zeus, but the main villain was not found until the end of the film. To be honest, at one point I doubted that Ares would come.
I don’t understand the logic of Diana’s mother. Diana - ' Killer of the Gods' let's not train her to fight. But I'm already picking on it.
The result: the film is great, I recommend watching.
Kind-hearted, sympathetic, selfless, gentle, with a slight naivety of a girl and a sublime desire for altruism, such Gal Gadot was shown in the image of a heroine, a new DC film, creating a perfect image of a militant woman of the Amazon, with her impeccable ideals and understanding of the world. That very delightful image of kindness that the old animated Superman movies showed us. A renewed sense of beautiful, brilliant heroism, from a pure heart and in the name of justice.
The created image of the Wonder of a woman who burst into us in a tense atmosphere ' Batman v Superman' is an axiom of the very idea of the existence of Amazons. That's exactly what the inspiration was looking for, exactly what the film was looking for and did well. So I want to say: ' Unique original!', admiring throughout the film, the battle charm of the heroine.
The rest of the characters in the film are well-chosen, but not all. And not everyone was able to give the right balance in replaying plans, some were not at all necessary and contrived, as if they were inserted just to tick (to fill the empty space).
Perhaps this is due, again, to the timing, the film turned out to be a bit short and in some places there was a rush in the narrative.
The development of the plot came out systematic, but superficial as the very basic idea of the opposition of the protagonist. Weakly shown the struggle and difficulties faced by the heroine, there is no feeling that all this should be given with difficulty, all too prosaic and frivolous.
No, some inner philosophy for an older audience, but his rating of 12+ he plays to fame, reminding us of the old cartoons, in which each confrontation of the hero fit in the 1st series and everyone was alive and well.
The work of the cameraman and director, in some places was great, but most of the shots do not spoil ' Nolan' or ' Rildy Scotom' The trailers showed too much and there were almost no surprises left. (Don't watch the trailers, they'll spoil too much.)
The dialogue is good, but as I wrote above, the characters inserted to check the box break the entourage without adding anything. But the main dialogue thread, between the heroine and ' second plans', came out good, for this is definitely a plus.
The film deserves its 7.5 points, for a beautiful revival of a heroic sense of justice, but it turned out to be superficial and childishly simple because the director was driven into the age limit.
Stories about superheroes without a penis were doomed to failure. Remember such films as 'Catwoman' with Holly Berry and , ' with Jenifer Gardner and 'Eon Flax
Since the mid-10s of our millennium, the scales against the main female characters have swung towards feminism. And while MARVEL made tiny steps only with the help of the series 'Jessica Jones', DC lifting the hem jumped immediately onto the big screens with the film 'Wonder Woman' with Gal Gadot. And the film suddenly became a phenomenon for superheroes.
On the island where the Amazons live, Princess Diana Prince lives. The island is hidden from prying eyes (reminiscent of 'Black Panther'). Suddenly, a male pilot (Chris Pine) comes to the island and tells the inhabitants of the island that the First World War is going on in the world. Diana realizes that this is all the machinations of her brother Ares, she is also the daughter of Zeus. Now her task is to stop the God of War and save the world from the forces of evil and hatred.
The film vividly conveys the picture of the First World War: the besieged cities, the battlefield - everything is very realistic and enchanting. The plus of the picture can be called the fact that as in the TV series 'The Punisher' on the first row only the courage and dedication of the main character is not taken out, as well as the pain of soldiers and residents of besieged cities, their syndrome of a person who is in fear of the events in which they got.
Thanks to the film with Gal Gadot and the wave of femenism popularity (farewell to Harvey Weinstein), the world will soon see the solo of the Black Widow, talk about the women's justice league, on the nose looms ' Captain Marvel' with Bri Larson.
