“Guardians of the Galaxy” from James Gunn was a risky project, he shot his feet and hit exactly the target. Pleasant heroes found themselves in adventurous situations and skillfully chosen from them. In addition, the film became part of the Infinity Saga and featured one of the key artifacts of the story. Well, since the first part worked perfectly, no one forgot about the second one either. And so it was removed and released in rental shortly before the epic culmination of that very “Infinity Saga”.
Peter Quill and his team have finally united and are now performing tasks for various customers. This is mainly about catching and destroying monsters. This is a good thing for kids, and they don’t know how bad it is. But the real trouble came from where no one suspected. Suddenly, his father Ego appears in front of Quill and the plot begins to twist in full.
Ego asks Quill to go with him to a separate planet, but something is clearly wrong, and soon the Star Lord realizes that his father is clearly hiding something, and the truth may be too cruel. Meanwhile, his teammates go through their dangerous trials. Especially cheerful they have Rocket and Yondu, who formed an unexpectedly cool pair.
In James Gunn's film, it's all equal. This is a great adventure comedy and at the same time a tense drama about the relationship between father and son. We also have a very good detective and even a thriller. So James Gunn made a brilliant movie for Marvel for the second time in a row, and it is not surprising that it fell in love with a wide audience.
Of the actors, and especially those who first appeared in Guardians of the Galaxy, Kurt Russell proved himself very well, for whom the role of the Ego became special. He usually plays only positive characters, and his Ego was frankly ambiguous and even frightening. And because of this, it causes increased audience interest.
The story itself is full of events and adventures. Very interestingly, the heroes were divided into teams and forced to perform their special quests. But, of course, the central one was the story of Peter Quill.
“Guardians of the Galaxy 2” turned out to be a really good movie from Marvel and an adventure that is actually worth going on. Still, as practice shows, not all franchises can boast of serious quality for a long time, and therefore James Gunn’s films will attract attention again and again.
The example of this film shows the great role played by the brand and the devotion of the viewer to the brand. If such nonsense was made by some other film company, and the film was not part of the known cinema universe, then people would appreciate it not at $ 900 million at the box office, but about the same as the thrash of "Spy Kids 3", because these films are very close, both in implementation and in conception. And by the way, Stallone plays equally wretched roles in them. Even when the first part came out, I was extremely skeptical, because it meant that in the same world, where there is a more or less serious Iron Man, Cap and Spider-man, there will be an image of a dorky children’s space from cartoons, also with a talking raccoon. But then the film managed to prove that the authors are not as idiots as they want to seem, and despite many film sins, it still worked. Behind the hallucinatory colors and the incessant laughter was both drama and unexpected twists. In the second part, all this was drained into the toilet. In the movie theater I put my hand to my face several times, and almost left the room because I periodically felt a sense of kringe - ashamed of what others are doing. The film does not begin with an important plot event, not with intrigue, but immediately with "Here are your favorite fools." Yes, watch how they argue cheerfully against the background of chromakey, how they bar a space monster and dance at the same time, because it is fun and not at all dangerous. One of the most incompetent beginnings I've ever seen. For the first 20 minutes there were jokes about nipples, dicks, shit, and not in the spirit of “said and enough”, but with an active discussion, with an estimate of how best and how else you can turn this image. I just wanted to say, ‘Your stories have gotten me sick. One story is better than another.” Further in the film we meet a lot of alien races, made with the latest technology: take people, paint them in gold, hop, ready the first race, take more people, paint them in red – ready the second race, then the same with green, blue... For 200 million. Oh, epic, Mass Effect gets jealous! But the main problem is that the story is missing as such. The Golden Queen's revenge for stolen batteries is worthless. Of the 2 hours of duration, the first half hour is spent on a completely unnecessary introduction, when cutting into a bucket, the film would not lose anything at all and even gain, another hour the characters just hang out at the Bath, where Peter rubs about ancient TV shows, and Mantis is happy when she is insulted, and the last half hour is a solid action scene in which there is not a single live frame, only graphonium in the spirit of “everything glows and shimmers”. And this is in 2017, when the world cinema has already realized that an overabundance of graphics is tasteless. Even "Star Wars" abandoned the dominance of the Counton and returned to the scenery and dolls. And in "Guardians of the Galaxy 2" against the background of the green screen, everything is filmed, and if you subtract the graphic tinsel from the film, it becomes clear that you are watching a few dressed up stupidly 2 hours of jokes in the green room. To sum up, the Yondu whistle destroys any army of any size (boys when in the yard play, already at the age of 9 stop using such plot moves), at the end of the film, Gamora erased the green makeup around his eyes, and the whole filmmaking team did not care, Peter read the worst epitaph in the history of cinema, all the characters have already killed their parents or are going to do it, and noble pirates chicly salute the one who sold children to the slaughter, because he was well paid. That's disgusting. James Gunn (director of Movie 43) did everything he could expect. At the time, it was without a doubt their worst film. I didn’t know at the time that Phase 4 would be somewhere near the bar.
I think the Guardians will be my favorite Marvel heroes. I really liked the first part and I can say that I liked the second one even more!
Going by the correct chronology of Marvel comic book adaptations, I often scold solo superhero movies about the fact that they do not carry something important to the general understanding of the plot of the kinographic universe. I can say that the Guardians (the second part, at least) are not, in fact, telling anything new or special for general understanding. It tells us a continuation of the story of the Guardians, but the main narrative is not particularly affected. And in time I would argue again, but I can't. Because solo films about the Guardians, unlike solo pictures of other superheroes, can exist as a separate wonderful work.
This is a very bright, interesting and exciting film. It's pretty much everything. An interesting plot that delays, but does not strain any crazy number of episodes, which you need to closely follow them to link with each other. This is amazing graphics! Marvel always treats graphics and visuals with special awe. And here they are still at the highest level. Beautiful interesting characters, each of which is special and not just a closet to show, since it was in the comics – their characters are revealed, the characters interact with each other, and it is very interesting to watch.
Separately, it is worth noting the humor in the tape. He's very cool. Yes, it may seem flat and somewhat teenage, and quite certainly different from the humor in other Marvel films. But he is so charming and charming that it is simply impossible not to smile. Mostly thanks to characters who are insanely charismatic.
And among all this bright, drive, cheerful madness, the tape manages to be places touching and even partially instructive. And it doesn't look like it.
This film will probably be one of my favorites among Marvel’s works. If not my favorite. And yes, Groot is infinitely cute!
The first tape was surprisingly successful, so the continuation did not take long to wait. In general, it was received at the level of the original, but in my opinion, the picture even surpassed it. So I will not stretch and immediately go to the point.
The plot continues the story of our friends and immediately we plunge into a dynamic scene to music. This time, however, the focus will be on family relationships. Peter Quill and his biological father have been set up for us. I think it’s a good move, because last time it was a sphere, this time it’s more personal. In addition, it reveals more details about the past of our hero. But that’s not really the only motif in the film, and again it’s a very good film about friendship and true values. So from the point of view of the plot, I can say that it is on the same level with the original or even higher.
But what the film succeeds one hundred percent is to play on the emotions and feelings of the viewer. From the first scene to the last, throughout the time we are able to experience different stages with the characters. More than once and not twice our mood will change from sad to cheerful, from anxious to joyful and in a circle. The work has very good interactions of individual characters like Rockets and Yondu, Gamora and Nebula, Peter with his father, scenes with Groot and other combinations. It all creates local, small stories that come together in one puzzle. In addition, a significant part of the main persons are undergoing serious internal transformations. For a fantastic genre, this is a great achievement.
As for the action, it is also one pleasure. As I mentioned from the beginning, we are met by a cheerful scene and until the end of the action will not disappoint. In general, I can say that dynamic combat with elements of humor and music is the ideal formula. Each episode from the film proves this in practice. If you talk about humor, I have said more than once, because it is worth it, I will tell you more about the tracks. It’s hard to analyze here, but personally to my liking, this time the set turned out beautiful. Comments 'The Chain' and 'Father and Son' Even if you have a slightly different taste, the stylized selection of tracks is similar to the first tape.
The verdict. This is an incredible continuation of a successful adventure from Marvel, which gives you the opportunity to be transported to a fantastic world, and you do not want to leave it. If you are familiar with the past work, then this will definitely appeal to you. Therefore, I would like to see such projects appear more often and recommend the movie to watch.

The Guardians of the Galaxy find themselves in serious trouble when Rocket decides to steal the batteries that were entrusted to them while working on the Sovererv frame. As a result, the Perfects announce a hunt for the team. During the escape, the heroes meet Ego (Kurt Russell), the father of Peter Quill (Chris Pratt), who turns out to be a powerful and immortal cosmic being. Although Peter is happy to meet his father, his partners suspect that Ego is hiding his true motives and trying to use Peter for his own purposes. At the same time, a team of Devastation pirates rebel against their leader Yondu, who raised Peter, and the Guardians of the Galaxy face the need to choose a side in this conflict.
After watching Guardians of the Galaxy. Part 2 is the movie I want to watch again. The film leaves a vivid impression that makes you forget about everything else. The opening scene with the dancing baby Groot slowly pulls you into that atmosphere. But the highlight of the whole film is the scene where Yondu quietly strolls around the ship, killing all the devastators in it.
Some elements in the film, which may seem superfluous or incomprehensible, are actually necessary to implement the director’s plan and create a complete picture. For example, Sylvester Stallone’s character may seem insignificant, but he’s an important part of the final scene that makes a strong impression. Such scenes help to fully show the whole idea of the director. Drax’s jokes about Mantis could be removed from the film, but they are important to convey the mood of the Guardians, where even impoliteness and black humor are part of the relationship. In the first part, we were shown a team of losers and outcasts, accidentally united to save the Galaxy, and in the second part, a real family is shown. But what is more surprising is that, unlike the first film, the second is completely ' independent' The first film and its plot revolves in the circle of the sphere and the stone of infinity, which in future films for Marvel is the events of the film is important, but about the second about this can not be said. It is detached from the concept that Feige built, say ' Each of our films is important and creates a single plot'
The film is certainly not without minuses. The film has a large number of characters, and the team is replenished with three more, but surprisingly, Gunn tried to reveal their relationship through dialogue. The middle seems viscous, because while Rocket and Yondu are at the devastation, our main team chills on the Ego planet, where the greater half is just dialogue without any action.
Visually, the film resembles a two-hour disco from the 70s and 80s, after which you ask for supplements.
This is the question I was asking myself when I was sitting in the second session 'Guardians'. After the first part, which left behind exceptionally positive emotions and impressions, I expected something at least as good from the sequel. I didn’t get half the same emotions.
The second 'Guardians of the Galaxy' it is one-third disgusting, and the other simply boring spectacle. Let's go in order. Unfortunately, James Gunn was given carte blanche while filming the sequel, and it resulted in the disgusting & #39; humor & #39; for which this director is famous. The narration spelled out a bunch of jokes of the lowest quality - on toilet themes, moreover, served simply to the forehead, so that little children hysterically scream with laughter. After each mini-perfomance, I was drawn to get up and leave the session. Oh, shit, shit, but.
Keep going. The second 'Guardians' it's also a boring movie. The whole story is divided into two sub-plots that develop in parallel. And if the Rocket-Yondu line still has at least some dynamics, then the Starlord and Company line is just a stomp in place. No, from the point of view of the script on the screen there is the development of characters, the closure of some internal gestalts and other joys. That’s just take into account that all this is accompanied by the already mentioned dumpster ' humor', and therefore the value tends to zero.
That leaves the last third, which is just good. These are the ' Guardians ' I liked. The drive and soulful ending of the film looks like it was written by a completely different person. Not a five-year-old who had spent two hours diligently writing jokes about secretions and genitals, but a fully mature screenwriter who understands how the drama and dynamics of the scene work. But unfortunately, this finale is not enough to pull the tape out of the abyss of sludge, into which it itself and drives.
Verdict: 'Guardians of the Galaxy 2' is a huge disappointment. It was after the sequel that I finally became convinced of the incompetence of James Gunn as a screenwriter, and the success of the first “Guardians” is an exception in his filmography.
This is the continuation of the adventures of the “stars” Guardians of the Galaxy. In the beginning, it may seem that this is the story of Peter Quill and his father, the story of a child who grew up without a father, who really wanted to believe that his father still needs him. But that’s not really true...
This is a story about family, about values, about relationships. The relationship between Peter and his father, Gamora and Nebula, Rockets and team members, Peter and Yondo. If the first part was a story about the formation of heroes as a person, then the sequel tells more about the family that the Guardians of the Galaxy became not just friends, they became a family. The hardest thing was to accept Rocket, he often deliberately sarcasticized and pretended that he did not care about everyone, he seemed to be afraid of getting attached to someone, showing his feelings and admitting that he too could be loved.
And last but not least, it shows that genes don't determine kinship. Ego was selfish; he killed the woman he allegedly loved only because he forgot his goals with her, because he was happy with her. I didn't understand that at all. How can you kill a loved one with your own hands? Who needs that kind of love?
I was deeply moved by the story of Yondo. In the first part, I realized that Peter was like a son to Yondo, so he so often forgave him petty pranks and rejoiced when he got out of trouble alive, in the second part it was shown more clearly. Yondo was a bigger father to Peter than the one with whom Peter shared his genes. Perhaps it is correctly noted that kinship is more than just genes and blood.
The second part is filled with great tragedy and self-sacrifice, it has less fairy tale and comedy, although this part is not without humor. Despite the fact that the film added a share of tragedy, it is not a little bit inferior to the first part. How worthy of a sequel to me.
As I thought, the continuation turned out to be amazing, and we can congratulate our guards on replenishing the family. And then I again on a subconscious level included the comparison who likes, who does not, whom I trust, who does not.
Quill is a diplomat who is ready to talk and does not lead to the abyss of war. It’s cool, though running ahead he then greatly improves because of his love.
Rocket is still captain and leader. His empathetic guidance and understanding of each, I was amazed at the beginning, now I am just delighted.
Drax is the same thug without gray matter in his head, but he became more pleasant to me.
Groot is still a good friend to everyone.
Gamora became clear to me, and I can say that she is just a storehouse of human feelings, which is strange, because she is half cyborg.
The new member of the team Mathis is an impat who knows how to feel the pain of others. I have a neutral attitude towards her.
Nebola is a very controversial character, she is Gamora’s sister, but she does not know what she needs in this life. She hates her but wants to make friends. I have a mixed feeling for her. You want to charge the scoreboard, and smear on the wall, then suddenly retreats.
I also want to mention Quill's father, Ego. The name justifies his character. In every cell, word, everything. He immediately began to piss me off, and doing absolutely nothing, just on an intuitive level.
Like the first one, I got the maximum score. It’s a great movie, I think you’ll see it when you watch it.
as expected, the second part is very weak, removed for the box office, humor saves the picture from the bottom, well, even Mi-Mischina raccoon, with such a cast very much asked for the plot
When the producers of Marvel entrusted the first part of the "Guardians of the Galaxy" & #39; little-known at the time director James Gunn, it took a little risk. The director before working on the blockbuster was known mainly for a couple of thrash productions, and fans of the Marvel Universe have not yet looked into the far corners of the Galaxy, and no one guaranteed that the cosmos ' Guardians of the Galaxy' will have the audience to taste. But Gunn presented a very good concept of his film, he was given the go-ahead for the diagrams and finally after the premiere of "Guardians of the Galaxy" & #39; became a big event in the field of entertainment cinema. Naturally, the sequel to the film was guaranteed.
In the second part, Quill, Gamora, Drax, Coon and Groot continue to work together. They are not just casual partners, but real friends who will always come to each other’s rescue and will not leave a comrade in arms in trouble. Wheeling from one planet to another, the heroes take orders for the destruction of monsters and help those in need of their good beginnings, but suddenly for everyone announced long-lost father Quill.
A higher being named Ego craves family reunion and for obvious reasons Quill does not mind going with his dad to his abode to learn as much as possible about his past and parents. Meanwhile, the Guardians of the Galaxy are being chased by enemies who cannot forgive them a small but very bitter blunder. So the problems for our heroes are provided.
Maybe the second part of this story is not as well-calibrated and driven, but it was very interesting to watch the further development of events in the team Quill and the company. The authors twisted a serious intrigue with the return of the Ego, which turned out to be an interesting and unusual character. It is also nice that Kurt Russell played it, who continues to confidently pave his career path even in his later years.
The funniest part of the film can be safely called the one where in the same team act Raccoon and Yondu. Where Quill was, you can note an excessive amount of lyrics, but Raccoon and the blue leader of the gang of thugs will definitely have fun and cheer up. And another important nuance is that Sylvester Stallone played a rather important role in the film. I would love to see his character appear in Marvel. He has his own perspective.
'Guardians of the Galaxy 2' came out a good, fun movie. Yes, a lot could be done differently, but still it is a cool and spectacular attraction, which can be periodically reviewed and fun.
The first part about the motley five, frankly, I was not particularly impressed. It's too corny and primitive for my taste. Nothing was expected of the second. However, the second one came to me and moreover, I even wanted to review it. Why is it better? The plot is no longer so linear, it is certainly not out of the ordinary, since this is Marvel, but for a space fighter, tolerable, besides, the characters are revealed better, their relationships deepen, the music is inserted more successfully, humor has become more sparkling and there are several really cool scenes from which saliva drips with delight.
In the second film, the main motif is Peter Quill’s relationship with two dads – the biological and hired killer Yondu, who raised him. The theme of fathers and children is revealed here very, very well, providing for reflection the main question - what is more important - blood kinship or fatherly love. The fact is that Quill’s own father appears on the horizon, performed not by anyone, but by Kurt Russell himself and he wants to return his son to his home planet. At the same time, the team of guardians of the galaxy is chased by pirates hired by gold eccentrics who have offended them. In general, at least add adventure.
The raccoon still remained my favorite character, here their duet with mini-Grut complemented the blue Yondu, which made the jokes more, and the battle scene on the ship is one of the most mind-blowing and cool for all the science fiction films! Drax got rid of a greater share of his pathos, and most importantly from suffering for his deceased wife and daughter, which made him another storehouse of humor, in places he spits Raccoon in part of the frenzy. Plus, our characters were joined by a miniscule praying woman with horns, who perfectly sang with Drax. Gamora and her sister Nebula are a duet of cool, murderous beauties with intractable conflict and sisterly grievances.
The weak and boring link is, oddly enough, Peter Quill. He is boring, especially when it comes to serious dialogues - squabbling with Gamora, clarifying relations with his father. This dude behaves not like a cool pirate who has seen everything, but a preoccupied teenager with a lot of complexes and childhood grievances. It’s wrong and weird, because he’s supposed to be the main character, but most of the scenes with him sag, and you expect a return to jokes and action from other characters.
The film is bright, fun and can be very entertaining. The musical range is great, especially the introductory stage, but in the middle of a ton of great music. And for all its shortcomings, the attitude to the second part is unequivocally positive, I want to continue this colored orgy and return everyone to the big screens, but quickly!

The sequel, like the original film, pleases the eye with special effects and scenery. Bizarre worlds, the nature of distant planets, insane spaceflights and battles – in a word, the revived comic space opera. Spectacularity is the main thing in such films, and then James Gunn passed the exam for “excellent”. New bright characters, alas, not as much as it could be. Star Lord's father isn't too impressive, despite being played by Kurt Russell. At first, he plays off an aristocrat-demigod, hospitable and majestic, and then ... however, it would be a spoiler. Stalonne here, by the way, generally for furniture, his role is almost reduced to cameo. Mantis is amusing to the point of affection, shaming her femininity brutal feminists Gamora and Nebula. About the latter: it seems that someone whispered to Gunna that making an ugly woman a ridiculous comic villain is politically incorrect, so Nebula here rehabilitated to an ambiguous antiheroine. Although still creates game, sending, in fact, several dozen people to death (well, playing an indirect role in this) only to get the opportunity to clean the face of the sister (seriously, she just wanted to beat Gamora!). Shockerface is remembered for its brutal appearance and nickname, which all the characters consider ridiculous. In general – a standard barmalis, an evil idiot, who is not sorry to be spent. Sovereigns pretty amused with their ridiculous appearance (common people in pathosy robes, painted with golden paint, like “living statues”). A great parody of the “ideal society” of utopias. It is clear that in the cynical and adventurous setting of “Guardians of the Galaxy” they look like clowns. I have already written about Nebula, other heroes have not undergone any special changes. Unless Drax got more fun. And here I want to scold the second part for pretty spoiled humor. In the first film, there were no such jokes. The kindergarten skirmish between Peter and Rocket during the chase, in the face of mortal danger - all this stupid dialogue about poop, which Drax also happily joined - is already beyond good taste. Of course, from the American comedy action movie subtle humor can not be expected, but the same “Pirates of the Caribbean” somehow managed without such “jokes”. But the dialogues of Mantis and Drax are really funny, although here the humor is rude, and is based on the fact that they are both “not of this world”: one is terribly naive, and the second is a caricature macho-savage who does not know what “tactical” is. The abundance of stupid jokes oddly contrasts with the tragic plot. Yes, oddly enough, potentially this film should have been more serious than the first one, since two important characters die here, not as Groot, but for real (although, given that this is a comic book, maybe not). Yeah, by the way, Groot. It is here, and now, for a change, in the form of a kavai baby, and this is good, because a portion of healthy naughtiness and cavaia in an entertaining film is necessary. The second part is weaker than the first, but in its own way is good. The Pirates of the Caribbean in space. Fans of comics and space opera should watch (if you do not disdain "American" humor), but you should not wait for revelations. 8 out of 10Original
How good were the first 'Guardians of the Galaxy' - so bad were the second. This, in principle, is not surprising (whether in the history of cinema there were few bad sequels!); it is not surprising that James Gunn nodded at the box office. Like, what criticism can be, if my film grossed almost a billion!
As Rocket would say: 'I just messed up, and these jerks mistook my feces for a delicacy!'
Surprisingly, how highly appreciated is clearly poor quality film professionals. Or... or all these are the same ' critics' who wrote positive reviews for ' Sony' on ' Gangs of New York'?
The main drawback of the film is, without a doubt, the script. At one time, Nolan and Singer tried to write comic book screenplays better than comics - James Gunn and K did not bother at all here. As a result, the multi-sized & #39; hole & #39; in the plot more than in a piece of good Dutch cheese. Sometimes the woeful playwrights stood at a dead end - and then Gunn stole ... from himself: the denouement of the final episode one in one with that in the first part. With logic - also bad: Yondu from a lonely outcast suddenly turns into the captain of the ship with a team that for some reason turns out to be rebellious, in the final he is no longer an outcast (although he was clearly not forgiven), the sister of the main character from somewhere appears a fighter, she is going to kill her, then not going (without any clear explanation why), etc. Maybe that was in the comic? Given that the Celestian god is unfamiliar with cloning for an unknown reason, this version is most likely.
In short, 'Guardians of the Galaxy 2' is a two-hour, five-minute episode of 'Star Wars' known as 'Luke, I'm Your Father!'
In principle, the film has successful episodes, totaling about half an hour. And I think it would be much more interesting to watch the tape if all this family suffering was cut out of there and made of a dull Santa Barbara with special effects a brisk short film. So here we go.

Cinematic Universe ' Marvel' not afraid of experimentation One of the brightest examples of her courage was the screen debut ' Guardians of the Galaxy' in 2014. Not the most popular heroes, not burdened with moral principles, and even in distant space. The set is far from the usual superhero movie. And yet this motley team managed to make a noise and take pride of place among other works of the studio. Accordingly, the continuation did not take long to wait.
And now almost three years later 'Bitch', 'Puppy', Star Lord, Drax and Gamora are back in business. On the wave of success of their actions in the first film, ' Guardians' continue to conduct mercenary activities and make enemies. It’s basically the same as in the first movie. An abundance of action, all sorts of alien monsters, fantastic locations and humor. The latter, by the way, even with a surplus. Protracted, absolutely non-informative dialogues based on mutual insult of the heroes constituted a common layer of jokes, very mediocre content. And if this is an isolated case, it is forgivable, but when this technique is practiced for two hours, it becomes not at all funny.
Distracting from unsuccessful jokes, it is worth paying attention to the plot itself. He wasn't bad enough. Quite concise, unpretentious and in places predictable. But it's not bad. Simplicity and dynamics decide. There is room for drama, of course, but it is presented here more as a lyrical summation than as the engine of history. Oh, yeah, and the villain. In a superhero movie, there is no villain. Here he's titanicly epic. The truth does not shine with intelligence and cunning, but its scale is impressive. Visual effects, habitually at height, and the old school soundtrack add a distinctive atmosphere. These pair of items favorably distinguish 'Guardians' from their brothers in the genre.
Unfortunately, comparisons cannot be avoided. And in my humble opinion, ', Guardians of the Galaxy: Part 2' is significantly inferior to its predecessor. Without raising expectations, the film is generally good for one-time viewing. Good for individual heroes and individual moments. Some particularly bright, both positive and negative, emotions do not cause. Solid middling in the piggy bank 'Marvel Studios'.
Many characters from the first part have a key role here, and the development of the main characters looks very smooth in relation to it. In short, as a sequel - the film is great! Here we were given two villains - secondary (golden woman) and main (spoiler, who). One of those villains didn't get through because he was cool and he had a good motivation. So, Marvel, respect. The plot branch after the first quarter of the film is divided into two - in one Rocket and Groot, in the second all the others. I consider the development of each of them very elaborate, and this deserves respect, because the creators, in fact, wrote the script for two storylines, each of which could be further developed, whether for timekeeping. Add to that also how the plot had to be divided, and how to bring the lines together to make it worthwhile. Bravo to the writers!
So what's the movie worth watching for? For humor, for plot, for Marvel, after all. The action is weak, but that’s the only downside to the movie. So it's an almost perfectly told story with an original concept, even though it's a sequel. But to me, as someone familiar with fantasy structures and devices, it still seems that the film did not last. A little bit, but it was really cool!
By the way, it is interesting that the guards are divided half between the films of the MCU films, which is now available for viewing (the latter was in the theaters of Ant-Man and the Wasp). I actually started watching the second half of the movie franchise. I will not delay, there is still as much ahead, the Age of Ultron, I am running to you (albeit reluctantly)!
The film is very good
In the world of Guardians of the Galaxy, it’s Marvel’s easy: heroes are charismatic, battles are epic, resources are inexhaustible. Against the background of the dreary protracted Epic, sequels, prequels and other good, the fabulous cosmo thrash of the Hollywood giant is another forgivable stupidity.
Drive Vol. 2 externally follows the canons of tin-pop "for growth", stepping into the territory of "combat" fiction, "slapsticks", the clip industry, as well as the drama of choice in the midst of family quarrels. Bewildered Peter, an audiophile with experience (Chris Pratt), his suddenly found father Ego, an unkillable metamorph with sinister goals (Kurt Russell), and the “real dad” Yondu, a galactic child dealer (Michael Rucker), a “nosed fox” with a knapsack (Bradley Cooper), a bald heracle Drax (Dave Batista), a obstinate beauty-smugly Gamora (Zoe Saldana), her curva sister Nebula (Karen Rucker), a “nosadil” engaged in a virtual relationship with the audience. Marvel's formula for success - Brownian physics without a hint of siesta with a tinge of "human, all too human" - works flawlessly. However: what about the feelings of those for whom the bravura vitalism of laser shootouts is more heroic than banter?
The story of children’s sorrows and adult imperfections (Peter’s fatherless complex, Gamora’s arrogance), pulling a trail of trouble in the present (the gloomy obsession of the half-man Nebula and erroneous sympathies for the perfect Ego, striving to turn the universe into jelly), is triggered as a trigger by the tricks of the thieving Rocket (stouched annulax batteries and a deadly resentment inflicted by the infallible priestess of sovereigns) – the most “fairy”, esqueous and original of the Galaxy Guardians fhe characters. Exploiting episodes with the funny but brainless wood Groot (Vin Diesel (!)), who knows how to dance and plays a kind of PSP, and invigorating retro hits (ELO, Parlament, George Harrison, Looking Glass), James Gunn’s two-hour acid motion capture marathon instills unobtrusive doubts about the rightness of the current thirty-, forty- and fifty-year-olds, with the stubbornness of neophytes who continue to insist that it is never too late to have a happy childhood.
The Guardians of the Galaxy are losing their serious face trying to please everyone. In the new film, we see an increase in the scale of special effects, scope, fights. After all, the fate of the whole galaxy is in the hands of our team.
The successful first part continued. Now the producers are on board. All the best and tragic moments are carefully copied from the first part. With a clear story novelty, the second part for some reason looks very secondary and in many ways copies the already worked out scheme of Marvell - everyone likes it, preferably the smallest. Copying happened very consistently, so fight and die the participants of the film will be identical to the first film.
The first part was not just for its novelty. There was no longer a desire to be funny. The writers systematically joked, tried to reveal the characters, giving them clear dialogue. The plot was built in such a way that it was possible to put artistic inaccuracies into the background, the communication of the characters was at a fairly high level. The action scenes were shorter and clearer. The viewer was presented with living beings with an inherent amount of adventurism, and not fantastic superheroes without a clear motivation.
The second part seriously removes barriers to perception. It seems that our group’s overall IQ has dropped significantly during their travels. Dialogue and humor are built to fill the void between action scenes. Disclosing the characters and fulfilling the main mission to save the universe is filled with a huge number of simplifications and compromises. Even scenes and fights began to be filmed in such a way that any death mimics the behavior and emotions of watching the children's cartoon series Tom and Jerry. Knocked, shook off and ran on. It seems that the film is simply shot at a younger audience, although it has a rating of PG-13.
The only characters who do not exude candy from their behavior are Drax, Rocket and Yondu. In fact, Drax is the only character whose jokes are appropriate and thought out, and Rocket and Yondu slightly reveal their inner experiences and motivation. This trio turned out to be the most collected, in which the former greatness of the first part still warms up. The rest of the characters, no matter how hard they tried, turned out to be clamped screenwriters in a huge plot frame - so their dialogue and behavior looks very weak.
But in time to remember about action and special effects. There will be a lot of them, and beautiful explosions for explosions. The fights are mediocre. Even the appearance of eminent actors in episodic roles looks frankly strange, because they are not originally played. As a result, the film ceased to stand out among its fellow genre. It has acquired many omissions and simplifications. The production arm wanted another entertainingly pathetic and understandable "Avengers". As a result, everything worked out – the box office is excellent, the audience is happy, children are running around with plastic toys in their hands. It’s a pity that the film has so little of its own, for which we fell in love with the first part.

Adult uncles of my age have absorbed a love of space travel since childhood. At school and at home, we were told about Yuri Gagarin, favorite books and films were about Alisa Seleznev and her travels through the universe, and in general, the legacy of Kir Bulychev was read with hurrah. Then came George Lucas' Star Wars, Steven Spielberg's Alien, Ridley Scott's Alien. So the emergence of a new saga about new planets and flights in intergalactic spaces I took as another return to childhood, where driving home cows from the herd, you imagined that they were aliens from Cassiopeia and you took them prisoner.
After the successful start of the film “Guardians of the Galaxy” the whole world realized that we should wait for the second part about the adventures of Star-Lord. The director's chair was taken over by James Gunn. Also in the film returned all the old positive and not very positive characters. So did new ones, Kurt Russell and Sylvester Stallonne, as once in Tango and Cash together again.
As in the first film pleases the graphics, it is clear that the creators do not save on it, so every detail of the film is very clear and pleasing to the eye.
The Guardians of the Galaxy are based on the Marvel comic book of the same name, like many other films on this universe. It is gratifying that very soon we will see the merger of heroes from the Avengers and Guardians of the Galaxy against a common enemy Thanos.

Not being a fan of superhero cinema and admiring only Berton's 'Batman' on 'Guardians'- the first - got completely by accident. Now here is the second and we must give the director credit - the second part of the film did not fall into the abyss compared to the first, as it happens in 99% of sequels. Perhaps on the contrary - the film has become unambiguously more serious, dramatic and smarter than the first - as much as possible for a comic book in a movie aimed at making a billion dollars.
The creators were able to correctly and interestingly raise the topic of family, friendship, devotion and competently show it all on the screen. Even the presence in the film of stupid sharpness below the belt is not annoying.
The characters are very lively. The atmosphere of universal fun is preserved and here it is in contrast to the same ' Ragnarok' appropriate and does not cross the border.
The magnificent five guards retained their charm. Everything's fine here. And Groot and Rocket just burn napalm.
The main antihero turned out to be quite interesting and with an understandable, albeit very wild, motivation, which, for example, Ronan did not have in the first part.
The two new girls in the film were pleased - the charming Pom Klementieff with her antennae and Elizabeth Debicki smeared with gold paint from head to toe (she even has golden eyes). Not all the gold that shines and perhaps never before this proverb was so to place. Both characters fit perfectly into the plot, each in its own place.
There are some very interesting cameos with great potential (even one of the Chinese Bond girls). Michael Rucker in the role of Yondu showed himself in all its glory, and it is his dialogue with Peter Quill that best characterizes the film. The transformation of Nebula, although expected, but definitely pleased.
There is no point in talking about entertainment - aerobatics.
I will note two small drawbacks compared to the first part - the final action will be delayed, and the soundtrack, although good, definitely loses to the first film.
But the above advantages clearly overlap these two disadvantages.
In general, we have an excellent example of an entertaining film with a slight educational bias.

P.S. I'm also personally sorry that there wasn't a Benicio Del Toro character - his Collector was incredibly interesting in the first film.
There are two types of beings in the universe: some dance, others do not.
After watching the first video promoting the sequel to the fantastic action based on the comic book of the same name & #39; Guardians of the Galaxy' I had no doubt: it will collect more at the box office than its predecessor. And so it happened: ' Guardians of the Galaxy 2' collected 100 million dollars more, however, in their creation invested 30 million more, but in any case, the profit, as they say, on the face. Although, it is worth adding that there were assumptions that the second ' Guardians of the Galaxy' will bypass this indicator and other films from the expanded Marvel Cinematic Universe, but this just did not happen.
What to expect from the new superhero movie? Obviously - a lot of special effects, dashing protagonists and charismatic villains. This is in ' Guardians of the Galaxy 2' abound. But I would like to note a quite tolerable plot, which is not even deprived of a good portion of drama. Naturally, the drama is tied to the relationship between the main character and the main villain, but it was very flattering that in the frank mainstream, the creators were not afraid to prescribe a rather risky dramatic storyline. And here is this balance between the plot and between the heap of computer graphics and visual effects in 'Guardians of the Galaxy 2' selected quite clearly. There is no point in telling more about the plot, because there is an opportunity to see the film firsthand.
For what other reasons would I recommend watching this movie? This is true of the actors and their characters. I am sure many people were looking forward to the return of their beloved heroes. Again, he will try to lead the team of Peter Quill, aka Star Lord, embodied by Chris Pratt. The actor is trying hard, but to admit that in the first film, that in the second I lack some zest in it, he does not always cause admiration and excitement. There will be in addition to Peter and his loyal supporters - green-skinned Gamora (Zoe Saldana) and a kind of Drax Destroyer (Dave Batista), and the latter will have a considerable share of screen time and the former WWE fighter will confidently cope with the task, very difficult for a non-professional actor. And, of course, the Jet Raccoon will not disappear, which in the sequel will show that he can not only sarcastically joke, but also be hearty and responsive, as well as his friend and partner Groot, who this time will be ' Kid'. For those who do not know, Jet Raccoon and Groot are drawn personalities, and they were voiced by Bradley Cooper and Vin Diesel, respectively.
But with all the good attitude to the team ' Guardians' I would like to note the secondary characters, who were very well spelled out, and played by the actors no worse. First of all, I really liked Pom Klementieff in the image of Mantis - a very touching alien who would very well, I'm sure, fit into the Star Lord team in the next part (and she will, I'm sure here too). It was quite amusing to watch Drax call Mantis ugly over and over again (he's definitely handsome!), and how he got nauseous when he imagined having sex with her. I also liked Nebula by Karen Gillan. Nebula is Gamora’s half-sister, but she has blue skin, and the position is clearly not good, but in a period of danger she finds the strength to unite with the Guardians & #39. I think that this character is needed by the franchise, besides that the actress so successfully embodied it. I was absolutely delighted with the performance of Michael Rucker, who got Yondu Udont. And if someone had an aversion to this character after the first part, then watch the second one and this opinion will change by 180 degrees. And to Michael Rucker, a special thanks for such a strong embodiment of the hero, besides the incarnation is dramatic. And Kurt Russell is good (when was he not good?) He has a dual character, which at first you have warm feelings, but then you are horrified by his true nature. It's like being in the Underworld after the Garden of Eden. By the way, something like this is embedded in the general concept of the second ' Guardians of the Galaxy' when Star-Lord's companions find themselves on the blessed planet of his father named Ego.
In general, I was satisfied with what I saw, the sequel did not let down its predecessor in any way, and in some components even surpassed (I am returning to the dramaturgy again), but the humor, perhaps, was not enough for the sequel, for some reason the Jet Raccoon was cut off, and he was the bearer of the comedy in ' Guardians...' I’ll be waiting for the triquel and new characters, because not everyone managed to survive in the second part. It is possible that one of them will be Adam Warlock, as it was shown in the scene after the credits (by the way, there will be five of them and I advise you to watch each).

Bright, dynamic attraction of cosmic dementia, balancing on the brink of absurdity.
The Guardians of the Galaxy’s adventures continue to stand apart from the rest of the #Marvel Cinematic Universe, giving them some carte blanche. The authors understand that a raccoon with a talking branch, a green beauty, a tattooed lamb and an earthling company is frankly strange. But they're not trying to deny that. On the contrary, unlike their earthly counterparts, who sometimes try to build serious mines, the Guardians only incite a degree of idiocy.
In a surreal Guardian universe, the conflict between fathers and children turns into a story about saving the Galaxy from a loving superintelligence that knocked up half of this galaxy. And in this detachment and indifference to fool is the key to the success of the guards. The second part is still a blockbuster for those who have already been slightly annoyed, riveting on the same patterns of the superheroic. The madness flowing under the cheerful rock and roll soundtrack captures the audience. And the mood of the unrestrained crazy merry carnival can not break a couple of drawn-out toilet jokes, nor even the decaying Internet memes inserted by our ' witty' distributors.
A sequel, by definition, cannot be the breath of fresh air that the first part was. But Guardians of the Galaxy 2 is a great continuation of that fascinating adventure that began three years ago.
P.S. The chip with five scenes in the credits turned out to be a surprisingly competent move, which allowed instead of hypnotic observation of moving lines to spend time waiting for the very last scene.

The Marvel Cinematic Universe is expanding every year, becoming richer with new heroes, and the adventures of guys and girls in tights went beyond the earth and went into space / other worlds / astral and where the simple viewer did not go.
Guardians of the galaxy in this grand story stand out especially brightly. Until 2014, the fact that there is a team of space outcasts, which includes a dork from Earth, a space warrior, a space thug, a living tree and a mutant raccoon, knew, perhaps, only the most loyal fans of comics. So when Marvel bosses announced that they intend to make a film about unfamiliar heroes from space, the audience was skeptical. However, the experiment was successful, the project became mega-successful, and the Guardians pushed the horizons of the cinematic universe to immense limits.
No one doubted there would be a continuation. The director of the first part James Gunn said at the promotional tour that the second part to be, and in 2017 Gunn releases the long-awaited sequel, and many held their breath - will the second part be worthy of the original? . .
The Guardians of the Galaxy are in trouble again, having managed to anger the rulers of the planet Sovereign. Fleeing the golden-skinned aliens, Peter Quill (Chriss Pratt) meets a mysterious and powerful Ego (Kurt Russell) - an anthropomorphic avatar of a living planet. Ego claims to be Peter's father, who long ago left him with his mother on Earth. As a sign of goodwill, the Ego invites the Guardians to his world, and in the meantime, the hunt for the heads of adventurers has already begun - the offended priestess Sovereign Ayesha (Elizabeth Debicki) intends to take revenge on the abusers and hires a gang of Devastators led by Yonda (Mike Rucker) to get rid of the Guardians. However, things don’t go according to plan when the Devastators and the Sovereign’s fleet reach the Ego, as a collision with a powerful living planet could devastate the entire galaxy.
It is worth paying tribute to James Gunn - he shot a great sequel, not much inferior to the original, but in some ways even superior to it. And it should be noted that Gann masterfully manages to manipulate a large number of heroes in the story, equally paying attention to everyone and diligently revealing the characters through dialogue and actions. Not every director dealing with a team is able to play everyone so subtly, so that the viewer has no questions. And given that the Guardian team got three new members at once, this film was a real challenge for Gunn. And yet he did. Peter Quill performed by Pratt is still the same jackass and fanboy, not parting with the player, who finally meets his father. He has something to say, but the closer they get to each other, the more common they find. Kurt Russell is really something like Pratt, and his Ego is an immortal creature-selestial, which seems to be ancient and terrible, but at the same time allows himself to make jokes about his penis, which lowers him to the level of a low-grade stand-up.
Raccoon Rocket (in the original voiced all the same Bradley Cooper, and in the domestic dubbing Sergey Kunitsky) continues to pour out streams of sarcastic jokes, blow up everything and despise everyone around, but at the same time revealed as a caring mother for baby Groot (Vin Diesel / Andrey Pie). Baby Groot and everything connected with it is a separate motif of the sequel. It seems that the creators of the franchise decided to conquer the viewer with a charming wooden crow with touching wet eyes and brains the size of a nut. Everything Groot does is hilariously cute and funny. The cynical Rocket is once again a universal favorite, and his sudden spiritual kinship with Yondu and the overall escape scene is both one of the most beautiful and insane in the film. Yondu, meanwhile, gets a significant role in the sequel and, perhaps, what was done with him in the second part - a bold and very adult move for the Marvel Cinematic Universe, which at times feels too childish and frivolous with its jokes and dialogues at the level of junior high school (yes, I mean those ' kakakahi' from which many, I think, worked collective facepalm!) . . )
On the unexpected side revealed in the sequel Drax (Dave Batista), who found a couple in the face of empath Mantis (Pom Klementieff). The pair’s interaction is both heartwarming and funny, but also sad at times given the fate of both characters. Drax takes a kind of patronage over the empath, thereby becoming another example of family ties that permeate the Guardians with a well-marked leitmotif. Even in the finale of the first part, we see that the Guardians turned into a family. The sequel continues this theme by challenging family values and forcing each character to go through the test of what they hold dear. The family theme is particularly clear in the relationship between Gamora (Zoe Saldana) and her sister Nebula (Karen Gillan). As fierce rivals, Gamora and Nebula tried to kill each other for years, until they finally came to the conclusion that they were both victims of their terrible father, the titan Thanos. The transformation that Nebula experiences in the sequel makes her slightly less cold and ruthless, giving her the chance to find the very family she dreamed of in her heart.
However, with all this message, the Guardians of the Galaxy do not turn into tearful melodrama. This is still a bold and crazy adventure in the vastness of space in the company of mad and charming heroes. The sequel pleases all that the original pleased, bringing more depth and sympathy to the characters, making them livelier and closer.
And Guardians of the Galaxy. Part 2 contains a sea of references and Easter eggs that give some hints of the near future of the kinetic universe. The most attentive have already noted the presence in the film of the Watchers - a race of aliens watching events in the Universe. Observers are a clear allusion to the Infinity War that Thanos will unleash, and into which the Guardians of the Galaxy and the Avengers will enter.
An interesting addition to the cast was Sylvester Stallone, who played a small, but as we are convinced, a significant role of the Devastater Stakar Ogorda. Perhaps in the future, his character will show himself somehow more active, but while he appears on the screen from strength for a couple of minutes, pressing the viewer into the chairs with his charisma and chin, looking even more impressive in 3D. Oh, and then David Hasselkhov flashed, but the younger generation is unlikely to remember this actor and the series about the Knight of the Roads, which mentions Peter Quill.
The overall retro stylistics, beautiful soundtrack and some acidity make the sequel Guardians of the Galaxy a welcome from the past, when the fiction was bright and vociferous, without trying to impress the viewer with funeral seriousness and realism. This is a thoroughly entertaining movie, which at the same time manages to gently instruct and sarcastically joke. And one can only marvel at how after so many years and many films, Marvel still manages to produce a mass product that does not bother the viewer and does not cause satiety.
Guardians of the Galaxy is one of my favorite Marvel movies. This masterpiece gives us the most popular emotions that a person can experience. Here you whine, whine, think deeply about life and even become an idiot for a moment, because of Drax's strange humor. About Drax is a separate story, about him later.
After the success of the first series, we meet Guardians of the Galaxy 2. After the first minute of the movie, I knew where I was. I’m back in the world that was in the first movie and it’s beautiful. I wonder what would happen if the director changed? James Gunn, as it were, pressed the pause at the end of the first picture and pressed the button on the second.
The second part is still fun and fun. Here we are already imbued with every character. We learn characters, habits, attitudes of characters to each other. There are notes of love, experiences of the old long years, actual skirmishes and, of course, the rivalry “I am cooler”. In this team, everyone complements each other and the guys learn about this at the end of the film.
It's really cool that there's going to be a drama in the film and I'll tell you it's going to be strong. A tear will come out in 95%.
The humor is still so cool. As I said above about Drax, he's a total idiot. So finished that he immediately became my favorite character of the whole team. Because dialogue is a masterpiece. I haven’t seen such characters in movies in a long time. I don't know how you could think of such an idiot.
Which part is better? I won't answer that question. For the first part showed what they were like, how they were hung up in one gang and how they made the villains sick.
The second part already demonstrates their relationships, experiences and reveals secrets.

In the unexpected. I didn't expect anything at all.
After all, you do not expect anything special from Marvel, an epic comic book, with flat humor, with heroes who have an infinite number of lives, with a simple plot ... But as soon as I saw the first shots, cassette player and 'I'm not in love'... I knew I was in for something cool.
And at the end, the guards almost made me cry naturally at the end.
Under the wrapper of the next comic book story about superheroes and a villain eager to destroy the world, there was not such a childish story about loneliness, about friendship, about mutual help and love. Each hero has a well-read character arc, and makes important changes in himself as he progresses through the plot.
The film was with its zest in visualization, pertinent humor and a great soundtrack. And the characters broke the clichés of superheroes, and it was interesting.
And history has pierced its kindness.
Yes, wrapped in jokes, in special effects, in the form of presentation that the format requires. As if the director asked to shoot another Marvel Movie, but he threaded through the entire film held important meanings and questions.
I know who you are, man, because I am you.
The second part began rather weakly, I even turned off the film on the first scene of the battle for batteries on the platform, and watched later, the second time.
Groot dances, and slurred introductory almost spoiled the whole impression.
But as the narrative unfolds, the viewer is drawn into completely unexpected plot twists and events. What’s interesting: the plot twist is not what it seems. At first you think that this is a transit point, and then the narrative will take us somewhere in the usual format & #39; search for the villain of the next villain from the universe of Marvel and Battle' but everything turns out to be different.
What I particularly liked about the second part is that the comic book format has been changed a little bit... in this movie, sometimes positive characters die. And it adds more realism to the story (if it applies to the comic book at all), and therefore more empathy.
And yet, this film continues the thread that draws your attention to serious questions about family, loneliness and love, about losses and the necessary changes in us.
I could squeeze it all down to one sentence.
I had a really good time watching Guardians of the Galaxy 2.
I recommend this movie to anyone who has seen the first one.
PS
There are also a lot of cameos and Easter eggs that will make you smile.
I hate Marvel, but the movie is good. I wish they would give such budgets to really good directors who would make movies with their soul. Just imagine the same story, but with taste, with atmosphere, with a love of creativity. What did we get? Well, a good filmmaker, but completely commercial, without a hint of creativity: all these incomprehensible explosions, squinting planets and aliens without any idea. The picture of the film immediately becomes clear on which audience the film was shot - for short-sighted infantile teenagers. The authors probably expected that all these Fathers and Children would touch me, treat a stupid weed, laugh jokes about dicks and that a rainbow from special effects would come from my eyes, and chocolate milk from the soundtrack would pour out of my ears (and it was selected in the topic).
The first part of the Guardians hooked me with something, it did not give such a brazen tastelessness, there was something in it. But the second completely disappointed me, because I did not even get a charge of emotions. In general, I was once again disappointed in this soulless machine to milk money from idiots without taste. I won't even think about watching all these new spiders and mongrels. Nope!
Since I liked the original Guardians of the Galaxy movie, you know that I expected the sequel to be at least the same level, if not better. Unfortunately, this was not destined to come true, since the continuation of “Guardians of the Galaxy” turned out to be clearly worse.
So the first movie was a real space adventure — different planets, different sets. In the second, everything looks too local: there is no variety of scenery. It seems that the script was given less time or decided not to inflate it. It's a shame.
The lack of diversity can be justified by the story told in Guardians of the Galaxy 2, but this does not change the fact that the history of the sequel still loses the first part: here it is less large-scale, and it turned out to be boring, even if it reveals to us the secret about the origin of one of the heroes of the Guardians of the Galaxy, Star Lord.
What the film is not inferior to the original, it is its humorous component: the characters are constantly joking, even in the most critical situations, in which, it would seem, not to laugh. This is really cool: the film is full of jokes, and jokes are really funny - the creators do not overdo it.
Anyway, the first part of Guardians of the Galaxy is sweeter than my heart. It got deeper and more interesting. Therefore, I certainly wait for the third part, but - after the inconclusive second - with fear.
In short, the first part about the adventures of universal idiots gave me wild pleasure at one time. The film was something new and unexpected. That’s why I was looking forward to a sequel from James Gunn. But let me tell you right away that there were concerns. They were that the sequel, most likely, will not be able to jump the success in which the first part bathed. So I watched a sequel to the space blockbuster called Guardians of the Galaxy 2. And now the question arises. Did James Gunn manage to make a really decent and worthwhile sequel?
In short, , history continues to tell us about the adventures of an already formed team of heterogeneous personalities called themselves [Guardians of the Galaxy]. Now the heroes have to reveal the secret about the origin of Peter Quill [Chris Pratt]. And finally, find out who his father really is.
In general, the plot of the second part is filled with a kind of family drama, in which the characters have to understand the value of both family and friendly ties. And on the one hand, you don’t really want to watch all these dramatic scenes, because, in fact, this type of film positions itself primarily as an entertaining movie. However, to my surprise, James Gunn managed to cross the entertaining and dramatic parts into one narrative. Thanks to this, you are more immersed in the film itself, along the way watching the development of certain characters. As for the characters, there are all the same characters with their own habits and characteristics. It’s just as funny and interesting to watch. And all this would not have worked out if not for such a beautiful performance of actors, for whose efforts you can only say one thing: Thank you. My applause also goes to those who worked on the visual side of the film. Everything that happens on the screen is indescribably beautiful, and in moments you get a visual orgasm. The same applies to the musical accompaniment, which in every possible way adds drive when watching. And all would be well, but still the effect of novelty was lost after the first film, which is why many moments the picture simply did not surprise. But that doesn’t mean it’s a bad picture, because it’s just my frustration.
To put it another way, this picture is a good continuation, which I definitely liked. I recommend a mandatory review. Enjoy.
Guardians of the Galaxy. Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.2 (2017)
You and I are used to the fact that all subsequent sequels always fail, unlike the original source. I want to start with the most important question: did the sequel turn out worse?
Without spoilers or spoilers, no. The second 'Guardians' turned out if not better, then certainly at the level and quite independent of the first picture. In the frame all the same: Star Lord (aka Peter Quill), Gamora, Drax, Yondu, Rocket (aka Fox, Raccoon, washing panda) and of course Groot, only while baby Groot. The first surprise for you will be the distribution of screen time of the characters. Not the one who seems like that.
New ' Guardians' James Gunn redundant in everything from emotions and jokes that cover these emotions, to post-credits stingers: not two, not three, but all five (and this is not a spoiler, but a well-known fact, so sit until the last word). One with his sister sorts out, the other father finds, and the raccoon so discovers that his aggression is not such a cover and finds out that he is very even able to feel - all this happens under the familiar sounds of hits of the 70s and 80s, incredible, technical, visual madness, dressed in the lens of Henry Braham, covering so many events that the eye in a good sense does not know what to grasp.
These are not superheroes in the usual sense. They're really losers who are going to do something meaningful for the galaxy. Yes, some of them have superpowers, but the key thing that unites them is Quill's humanity, which is what the whole second part is built on. Unobtrusively, but very accurately, the film pulls the most motivational strings inside, giving a jolt. Just one step.
A lot of soul, tenderness, kindness, action, and of course star cameos.
Watch the movie correctly.
I will say right away that I am a person who is quite far from comic culture and therefore I judge a film solely by what I am shown on the screen, what story they want to tell.
I really like how Marvel builds its cinematic universe, we are slowly told about each superhero, reveal his identity in several films, while smoothly mixing him with other characters and bringing the viewer to the movies, where they all come together in one team. This, in my opinion, DC and should learn from competitors, but the dead are generally spoken well, so the DC Cinematic Universe I will not mention here again.
Of all the Marvel heroes and films, it was the Guardians dilogy that I loved the most. Perhaps the reason for this was the little-known characters, and maybe that we immediately show a team of motley characters, by the will of fate fighting together.
If the first part was devoted to the formation of a team and the establishment of relations between the characters, the second fully reveals the topic of family not by blood, but, forgive the expression, by concepts. Cool action, good humor and incendiary soundtrack in addition.
