Star Pontus, Dump Panda and Groot - each of them in their own way cool
Having defeated Ronan, the Guardian team decides not to stop there and continue rescue operations of galactic scale. During one of these operations, Peter Quill (aka Star-Lord) and his team unexpectedly cross paths with an alien race named Ego, who appears to our heroes as the father of Star-Lord. Of course, Peter was glad to meet his father and accepted the invitation to his native abode, but the first was tormented by vague doubts: did the Ego really have good intentions, or was it a brilliantly thought out cunning plan?
The first 'Guardians of the Galaxy', released in 2014, at one time gave me an insanely pleasant mood. I believe that the success of the picture was largely due to the bright and unconventional presentation of a verified and boring concept, atypical and thus disposing characters and, of course, an excellent adventure spirit. Of course, the sequel was very much expected, and the presence of the same James Gunn in the director’s chair inspired calm about the artistic quality. And now, having watched the second part 'Guardians' in the cinema and revised at home, I hasten to share my best impressions.
First of all, the picture perfectly copes with the blockbuster function, while not creating a feeling of emptiness, as is typical of other action fighters (including among colleagues in the workshop). Amid the incredible drive and enthusiasm, the saturation of some events and an exciting and inventive action with a couple of surprises personally, I just did not find time to get bored. And even during extremely conversational scenes without action, the feeling of boredom for some reason does not arise, as if you are completely involved in what is happening on the screen. Gunn did not forget that the emotional connection of the viewer with what is happening on the screen is important, for which he is greatly honored.
In terms of artistic values and script structure in general, the sequel did not pass an iota. Some may think that the script moves have become lazier than in the first part, but I do not think so. I liked that the creators decided to spend more time developing the characters and immerse themselves in their inner world, and as a result, you get as many as four local conflicts, each of which is brought to mind. Of course, Peter’s relationship with his father was central, but what impressed me most was the chemistry between Yondu and Rocket. The laundry of the characters of a raccoon and a space pirate served as both good ground for humor and drama. And the sincerity with which Rocket said ' I will fly only with you' touched me to the core. Another feature of the artistic component of the second ' Guardians' can be called a wide range of moral values, the dominant among which is the family, its importance and inviolability. There was also a place for other semantic aspects concerning love, friendship, honor and even authority. The latter was clearly reflected in the character of one character who tried to deliberately raise self-esteem due to his name, which in fact drove others to a bout of laughter.
The cast once again tried from the best side. From the old guard, I note Dave Battista, whose Drax pulled the comic part, becoming much more hooligan and brave, and Michael Rucker, who from the most expressionless character of the first part turned into a screen star. Separately, it is worth mentioning the heroine Karen Gillan, who this time had the opportunity to reveal her personal drama. Among the new figures, the inimitable Kurt Russell stood out most vividly, and the appearance in the frame of Sylvester Stallone caused a powerful rush of nostalgia. And of course, how not to mention the baby Groot, because without him the picture would have lost the charm and charm that was reflected in its identical combinations of three words.
The only flaw I have personally found for myself is the main antagonist. To do without spoilers, I'll say this - he burned down without a good reason. But the overall impression of this factor almost does not spoil.
In short, I can safely say that the sequel was no worse than the original. Thanks to two stunning films about a brave team of superheroes of a cosmic scale, the Marvel Cinematic Universe played with new, especially bright and rich colors, and the audience is happy to realize that the gunpowder in the gunpowder is still left.
We all know what to expect from super heroic Marvel movies when we go to theaters: a sea of action, sparkling humor, pathetic speeches and magnificent special effects. But the Guardians of the Galaxy series is somewhat different from the Earth superhero series. Director James Gunn, in the first part showed us that he knows how to shoot large-scale space adventures, and with humor he has everything in order, which is only a gunner raccoon with his verbose bodyguard “I am Gruout”. So if you like the first part, the second will not disappoint, even surprise.
Guardians of Galaxy 2, multiplied the merits of the first part while focusing on the characters, they quarrel, put up with something to sacrifice, in general, the story is focused on them and not on the circumstances in which they found themselves (though not without this), as it was in the first part. I will not retell the plot in detail, but a few turns you may be surprised, the ending will cause a stingy male tear, and young Kurt Russell at the beginning of the film will make you smile and remember the 90s.
The actors made it to 100. If in the first film the team just gathered, realizing that together they are a force, in the second film they really learn to interact, understand each other, support and protect, which is not easy. And the phrase "We are a family" in the end sounds much more appropriate here than in the suicide squad, for example. It doesn’t come out of nowhere, the characters really go some way to get there. And all this way is accompanied by unreal verbal skirmishes, which are even more interesting to follow than the action. That is, there are so cool characters that only when they argue, tease at each other, to watch one pleasure. The humor in the tape, again, is very good, perhaps even better than in the original. Only one Gamora, played by Zoe Soldana, does not sprinkle sharps, and the rest of the finger in the mouth. That the dumb Drax performed by Dave Batista, that the reckless cheerful Peter Quill (Chris Prat), that the raccoon, that little Groot. Also, the team is joined by Yondu Udonta (Michael Rucker), the head of the devastators from the first part, a certain Mantis and Nebula, Thanos's henchman from the first part.
But the drama is not forgotten, the film deftly moves from one to another, so the tape is very deftly juggling emotions from which you can not get bored. The action as a whole is cool, the tape shows viewers new bright and beautiful worlds, the film at some points amazes with its diversity of colors and its visual style. The music is still great, the compositions of the hits of the 80s clearly reflect the mood of the film (a couple of tracks have already added to the playlist).
Summing up, we can say that Guardians of the Galaxy 2 turned out to be a very useful and fun film, this is a bright fascinating spectacle with bold visual and plot decisions. So I think the Guardians series is the best in the entire Marvel franchise. Oh, and here are the most fun credits from the entire Marvel franchise. There are 5 additional short scenes, so watch until the end.

Great movie with great humor and visuals! How long have I been waiting for the second part of The Guardians of the Galaxy & #39?! And now we will have to wait for the third! In my opinion, this trilogy will be the best work of Marvel!
First of all, the film certainly wins due to its unusualness against the background of other superhero blockbusters. An abundance of humor, a bias in the style of the 70s, 80s and the soundtrack with the gold hits of those years plus all this in space! Isn't that great?! There are more jokes and jokes in this part than in the previous one. Great jokes about David Hasselhoff! I don’t know how this film is perceived by the generation who are now 15 or 20 years old, but those who are over 30 should enjoy a lot of references to ' Old School'. I love movies like that! Sometimes it seems that this product is just for you. It’s like your personal interest.
I really liked how the music fits the script. In this part 'Guardians' the music approached even more detail. It feels good and it's great! Naturally, the soundtrack of the film is automatically added to my playlist.
The film gave a lot of positive emotions. I haven’t laughed so much since I watched the movie. There are also tragic moments in the tape, but in general, after watching, you remain in a positive mood.
Of the disadvantages, I can single out only one thing - little Groot! Very little! I wish I had more scenes with him... so cute!
P.S.
The joke about the tape during an epic fight is simply amazing!

When the first Guardians of the Galaxy came out in 2014, it was something fresh and trendy. Marvel was on the rise at the time. Not that the Marvelites suffer from a lack of attention, but in their lineup they seem to have lowered the requirements for themselves.
For example, speaking directly about the second part of "Guardians...", I found a slide into primitive humor. And humor – it was a kind of calling card of “Marvel”. But, for the last time touching this aspect in my text, I state from my own impressions: the swing from “bad” to “good” stops at good. The scales of "good" outweigh. The coin fell on the right side.
If you go over to the visual, what can you say? For a good 7/8 film, I was puzzled that this film is more cartoons than a movie. That's exactly what it is. But then I remembered the opinion of someone who has more authority in discussing cinema and reassured himself that: what does it matter, the main thing is that the story is transmitted.
And here went more dignity of the tape than nagging to it. But you can't do without them. The action begins with the fact that the Guardians are in the audience with the golden ones. Then, because of the antics Rockets (oh that Rocket!..) they had a counter... But then the story turns to another place and... I really like it.
We will see both Sylvester Stallone and Kurt Russell. [Tango and Cash, that’s what I thought] By the way, Sly here is a complete file for me. And the cones fell for the third “spy children”. But then I got used to the dorky image of one of my favorite childhood titans. Again there will be the same green woman who played the blue woman in Avatar. Zoe Saldana
In general, it seems that the plot is twisted. Not at all. Simple as five cents. At first, even an idea with a character called Ego. But then it all fell to predictability. God be with him. This is not a bad thing.
There will be a small Groot. And a new player "ward" Chris Patt. (No longer cassette).
Should I watch this movie? Well, for those who follow the history of the line, of course. For those who don’t like comics at all and don’t understand that they can have a great story, I recommend starting with Doctor Strange. But that’s another story...
Immerse yourself in the terrible dream of an anthropologist called 'Guardians of the Galaxy: They Will Save the World Again' You start with the first notes of easy rock, when our invariable five again sends another miracle Yudo to the underworld. And everything seems to be in the old scenario: Groot grows, the man-stone pokes and teases, the earthling timid before the girl-green (sorry, could not resist), and Raccoon is still the coolest character.
However, the newly minted space opera takes high, riding over the feelings of creationists. In a new story, our quintet gets involved in no other way than according to a predetermined scenario: they-should-have-been-there-where-were. This is understood both in the course and in the development of the picture: enemies are not accidental, mistakes are deliberate, and Raccoon is still the coolest character.
The tenants hold high, touching the theme of the most earthly God, likening themselves to him, as he created us, in his own image and likeness. So if God, they imagined, is not alien to anything human, it means that the sin of greed, weaving our galactic team of Avengers into another confrontation, where each villain will get what he deserves, and each hero – his ounce of morality.
The moral of this fable is this.
1) The truth does not come from the mind, but from the heart.
2) The thirst for victory gives rise to selfishness (remembering the conflict of sisters)

"I am Groot" and the remarks about the fox turned out not to spoil the unexpected success of the first film, leaving almost all the characters farther at the helm, James Gunn managed to extend the life of this project. "Guardians of the Galaxy 2" can be considered a sufficient continuation, which at first glance is not much inferior to its first part.
This time, the main character gets acquainted with his father, who is not modestly almost the director of this world. A good plot twist to reveal more of the character of the main character, even if the father-son relationship is not given so much time, the participation of Kurt Russell made this company even more attractive.
Well, it is impossible not to note the cameo of two familiar figures - Sylvester Stallone and David Hasselhoff. If the first served more as a figure confirming the standard of quality, the second decided to participate in a joke on himself. It was not enough to add Chuck Norris to this film, and then Guardians of the Galaxy 2 would turn out to be a new resource for memes and banter.
Dynamic with a lot of good jokes, and it becomes clear that the comedic component of the genre in this franchise will prevail over the rest. As for a project that has not promised anything since the release of its first film - it turned out quite well, and I doubt that the third part will let this project somehow die.

I'm pretty skeptical about the Marvel Cinematic Universe. And for good reason. Among them: lack of directing, memorable original soundtrack, problems with color correction, sterility of films. I like Guardians of the Galaxy because they stand out in contrast to other Marvel films.
It’s time to talk about the second part of the Guardians of the Galaxy. I’ll tell you right away, as trite as it may be, but I like the original better. Something was missing from the sequel that made the original more hooligan or something.
Well, first it is worth noting the humor, it became more, but I did not always laugh, in the film there were jokes that just tore me, there were jokes that cause just a smile and there were those that made me wonder, a kind of black humor, but not the one that was said in Deadpool, and childish. The characters are great, Marvel has no problem with that. Especially all the attention was taken by Little Groot, the Foundation and of course the Rocket. Added depth and Draxa. Here, importantly, no one was deprived of attention (as we say in Suicide Squad). I will note the well-chosen compositions, stunning visual effects (I watched in IMAX, which I recommend everyone to do).
In general, Guardians of the Galaxy Part 2 is Marvel's best film, after the original and Iron Man of course. He is bright, funny, epic, sometimes even sad.

The main difficulty and difficulty in creating a sequel is that it is useless to face the mud and do worse than the original work. After the release of Guardians of the Galaxy in 2014, it became clear that the smiling and geekish director James Gunn became the dark horse of Marvel Studios. Like, did not lose the film studio, appointing him at the helm of his next conveyor film epic. That was so stylish and fresh. And it seems that Guardians of the Galaxy 2 still look at the level with their music, beautiful and bright graphics, humor, but only ... boring.
Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol 2 seemed to be not bad: a little Groot dancing under Mr Blue Sky, a tiny huge slug, and God knows what humor. But this dynamic development of the plot stops to introduce us to the course of the difficult fate of the heroes.
I note that to maintain the audience interest in creating a dilogy / trilogy, it is necessary to develop heroes and heat up the situation. Undoubtedly, one should not continue to one-sidedly show the infantile “hero of our time” Star Lord, steel emotionless woman Gamora and crazy Raccoon, but without shame to devote almost two hours of screen time is not humming, because true fans of comics, able to appreciate this and fall into ecstasy, in the hall sit a few. And paying so much attention to side characters does not smell like a sequel, but a spin-off of some kind.
With the escalation of events in the film is quite sad, because to see as the main villains eccentric golden images, and in the antagonist – a crazy chela with my aunt’s hairstyle is somehow unnatural and completely unafraid.
Definitely there are very good moments in the film: the customized Kurt Russell, Stallone against the background of fireworks, the defeat of the Devastators, Pacman in the final battle. But this does not save the film from periodic yawning and from creeping thoughts that Gunn either puffed up, or went overboard and wanted to, as our shot everywhere to ripen.
6.5 out of 10
The beginning of the film contains a positive message that is extremely relevant today. Dance and be in a good mood when everything is falling apart. A small dancing monster in the midst of battle and turmoil, constantly on the verge of death, enjoys music and does not soar. In fact, life in modern megacities almost completely resembles the same process. Here are the authors of the film and suggest to stay detached and be positive. Maybe I'm digging deeper than I should.
The humor in the film is better than in the first part. Although some of the dialogue is terribly stupid. On the other hand, the dull generation corresponds to the film.
Still, such big films (high budget, great popularity, huge box office) represent a certain slice of the mainstream and reflect the interests of the main (or significant) part of the audience.
'A pretty puppy, you can pet' - the best joke of the film.
Well, they couldn't do without symbolic baseball in the backyard between father and son. The fact that an energy ball is used instead of a baseball will not confuse us. This moment of the film is for the American audience.
In general, this part is much better in terms of jokes and emotions. Clumsy and completely stupid moments are almost absent. There is a plot (although it looks like one of the episodes of Star Trek), and emotions, and funny characters.
Overall, I liked this movie and enjoyed watching it.
Long-awaited, 'fucking':'Guardians of the Galaxy. Part 2' Well... What can I say?6. /10. Solid, confident 6. Oh, how much PR and hype there was around this film, all this played a role, there were games, posters, previews and what, people came and got ... a charge of drive, positive and good mood for the whole day, and I got food for thought.
A good movie (for me), and for others it will be a masterpiece. But it also has its drawbacks. What to remember before watching this movie:
1. Be in a good mood
2. Revisit the first part
3. If you don’t like the first, don’t watch the second. (Let me explain: director James Gunn and his team are true to themselves, nothing has changed from the first part, all the same enthusiasm, all the same jokes, and a lot of humor, but if the first film brought our heroes together, then the second part, more devoted to the relationship in the team and theme ' Families' here the main, I would say the key.) )
Pluses. Well, as always happens with Marvel, it's
A sea of positivity and great mood, as usual, a visual at a height, oh, how the fights in space were shown, about these effects, my gamer soul, rejoices at this and tells you to shout at all corners that everyone would go to this film. That’s all, the pros are over, and the cons are still ahead.
Minus: Eh, as much as I praise this film, it clearly has visible disadvantages. Let's start in order.
1. Plot. I don’t know if it’s my problem or the script problem, but I guessed the plot, the plot twists, either I’ve seen enough movies, or this obvious script, or I’m Vanga, Heh.
2. Stupid humor. Oh, how many stupid, and not funny jokes that made me #rubbisho. If you go to this movie, get ready for vulgar jokes.
About the big future on the screen of a potentially cool team of superhero freaks can be forgotten, while the director and screenwriter at the same time is a bad filmmaker - James Gunn (let go on to shoot ' Slugs'). This man for the second time confirmed that he does not know how to operate on a solid budget, is unable to write an interesting script, can not collect a set of mediocre gags and a palette of colorful special effects in a full-fledged commercial film for the mass audience, capable of entertaining well and dragging on for two hours. The sequel to the publicized and noisy picture for fans of comics came out on an order of magnitude even worse than the far from perfect original of 2014.
Promising comic in the hands of Gunn goes out of his way to remember, but the trouble is that it weathers as you watch (no impressions the next day, or a week later, you can not talk). The grown-up man was so playful that it turned out something about the inflamed mind of a concerned teenager with a standard set of jokes below the belt or so. The second ' Guardians' categorically no balance, a verified sense of rhythm, an interesting action, and with all its resources and pompous attempts of the director to constantly arrange on the screen any ' boom', ' seams', or fireworks (literally and figuratively), the film still looks incredibly boring and very tired.
Humor, in theory, was supposed to be the hallmark of the project, but everything is so bad with it that it is even awkward. In Sandler's recent films, the jokes, rightly so, were fresher and more inventive. Even dumber to watch on the screen is not smooth transitions from jokes about poop to a shower of snot and tears. Morals about family, love and friendship, personally in my memory, have never been more infuriating than in the second ' Guardians' This movie is overloaded. As well as the dreary sleeping pills.
You could blame it all on the thrash genre, but, please, you have an expensive show here (200 million dollars) with a claim to one of the most anticipated blockbusters of the year, and this approach to work is simply not allowed. By the way, graphics and special effects in ' Guardians of the Galaxy' far from top, and announced budget of a couple hundred million dollars causes distrust.
It's all sad with acting. The chemistry between the characters has become even weaker than in the first part, and invited veterans in the person of Kurt Russell and Sly, let’s say, look miserable and inappropriate. No, not through his own fault, but simply by virtue of his age and trusted roles. Who amuses when gray-haired old man Kurt Russell tries to play something like: 'I have to take a piss!'? Or does Stallone, with his reinforced concrete mine, square jaw and solid portfolio, appear accompanied by humanoid mercenaries? I think it's as ridiculous as 95 percent of the jokes in the movie. Moreover, the main villain here is not spelled out properly and the plot feels no more than just the background for acting out the melodrama of Peter Quill. This melodrama is not very convincingly portrayed not the best actor Pratt, who in some roles looks quite himself (' Passengers', for example. By the way, the guy had some chemistry with Lawrence. Here there is no chemistry with Saldana and in sight, but in others ('Guardians' just from this category), which do not suit him - bad.
In the end, the film has a bloated time (over 2 hours), which is even more noticeable against the background of a weak, incomprehensible, falling apart before the eyes of the script. Seriously, Gunn didn't even have a good, exciting, full story to bring to the screen. The plot of the first part also lacked intrigue, originality, richness of events, but the second film went much further. Now, there is not even a worthy tie and does not skimp on the drive and unpredictability of the ending.
Is there anything good in the movie? Yes, there is. It's a couple of fun moments with Groot, and a couple of good retro songs. But was it worth it to build such a garden for them?
The second part 'Guardians of the Galaxy' is by all parameters a disastrous and unsuccessful continuation of the uneven, but promising picture that appeared in 2014. When I saw the first movie, I wasn’t very excited either, but there was hope for something better. Now, after watching the sequel, it is safe to say that there is no future for the franchise. At least as long as James Gunn is in charge. The success of the picture directly depends on hype and an excellent advertising campaign, and teenagers are still able to make him a cashier. But the problem is that 'Guardians', in fact, have every chance to grow into a universal entertainment franchise for all ages, if it is properly handled. There are bright characters, a good space for the development of storylines, but it remains only to invite a master to the project who will skillfully pull the strings and make this engine work to the fullest. And poop jokes are primitive, flat, formulaic and just boring when you're over 16. Such a universe deserves more. That's not even a level. All right, I'm gonna steal my hand. My personal list is one of the biggest disappointments of the year.
After watching the first part, I could not understand what many viewers found so good in it, except for the picture and effects. Boring plot, boring humor, boring characters. I considered it an effect of the success of the Marvel franchise, nothing more.
The second part came out and the audience is again satisfied, praised, a lot of spoilers on the network. There was a desire to go and not in vain!
The plot is now simpler, easier and more interesting. It’s not perfect, but picking on the logic of events and actions in space fantasy is a bit silly (unless it’s Star Wars of course).
The characters are much better set, in them all the salt of the picture. Heroes are correctly revealed before the viewer. There was finally a desire to sympathize with them.
Stupid and flat jokes in the manner of the first part will rarely flash. The humor became more obscene, but also more ridiculous.
The picture of the film is bright, colorful, pleasing to the eye, as well as computer graphics.
And of course the sound! Old cheeky unpretentious songs make the right background for the film. You want to find one or two after watching.
Bottom line: a beautiful movie that will give you the opportunity to plunge into the cosmic world, admire its unusual beauties, the mood will add positive motives of the sound, and the characters of the picture will not let you get bored.
Unfortunately, the continuation of the film did not make a furor as the first part. I did not see the atmosphere and spirit of the painting that attracted me to the beginning. Such a long wait did not justify itself, and I am sadly disappointed. However, rarely, of course, it happens that it would be so invested in the continuation as in the original idea of the project. In every sense.
I’m not a comic book fan, nor am I a Marvel fan. But the idea interested me with its originality and humor. Each character really had its own charisma and chip. That in the second part, for me it looked like a faded parody of the first. There was a feeling that the creators were shooting in a hurry, wanting to make more money than to please the fans. Which was wrong. Although, judging by the reviews, many fans were not confused by the slipping of a second-rate fake, and without a shadow of a doubt they accepted and swallowed it.
Most striking is the plot of the film, which I think was written by the writers clearly under something. Making Kurt Russell a god would seem too blasphemous, but unfortunately that’s not one of the film’s main problems. All the nonsense that happens in the picture can not but make you periodically grab your head. The whole idea is put on nothing, the plot is worse than a third-rate series about space wars. And the other stupidities of the heroes are simply amazing. Absolutely do not see in them those characters with charisma and their legend, which we showed in the previous part.
Humor is nothing. A serious and severe slut, who does not understand human metaphors, Drax turns into a meager and boring stupid, with the infantileness and vulgarity of a second-grader, whose humor is disgusting. The raccoon has turned into a bore, a whiner and a dummy, from a calculating, cunning criminal who constantly endangers the team. The whole movie isn't about Raccoon. Apart from his stupidity and whining, he is not enough. Groot is generally an unintelligent baby who seems superfluous not only in the team, but also in the film. Maybe it was conceived by the authors, but the character is more annoying than touching, in my opinion.
As for the other main characters, they are also not particularly distinguished by their original images. It seems that there are more inappropriate and silly jokes slipping through than revealing and implementing the character’s original character. Star lord, like his companion, is given little role in impressionable and memorable for the viewer action. The atmosphere of the film is not addictive at all, and the old tracks seem to be chosen hastily and not inspiring. It's like they don't exist.
The stupidity and actions of individual characters are simply astounding. The initial images change dramatically, and become like soft moistened wool. The same Yonda, from the gang leader and calculating murderer, looks like a helpless and pathetic person, constantly justifying himself and waiting for incomprehensible pity for himself. Which can lead the viewer into a little confusion and confusion.
Especially memorable moments, to my opinion, in the film very few. More illogical and strange actions of the characters and some ridiculous, childish scenes, trying to shock something to the viewer, but more irritating. The film, in my opinion, claimed to be a classic, but as usual, the continuation ruined all the intrigue. Now he's an amateur. The creators, apparently, were in such a hurry to bring to the market the brand of guardians that they did not understand what nonsense they slipped to a fan of Guardians of the Galaxy, apparently hoping for a ride.
To paraphrase Professor Rozhdestvensky from Heart of a Dog, we can say: “Don’t watch Marvel movies!” I watch Marvel so I can say it's a shame. Perhaps deep down in my heart, “somewhere very deep,” I hope that the next film product of this franchise will dissuade me and turn out to be a movie. But at once, those hopes dash.
However, the Guardians of Halaktika – 2, probably eclipsed all the masterpieces of the cinematic marriage that came down from this production pipeline. I don’t remember such a “no” tape for a long time. Even poor from the point of view of art, Deadpool contained some decent jokes. I mean, which are funny... At least some fun can be expected from these guys. But it looks like the captain of this protracted swim for money in the comic ocean has taken a course to completely replace humor with dementia.
So, Guardians of the Galaxy Part 2. Critics write positive reviews, great film critics - video bloggers check-review, falcon, and probably someone else, splashing saliva describing how good this is ' kinchik' and even (Oh horror!) my friends on the KP put high marks. And then I watch it myself.
And I must say that even my low expectations should have been so deceived. The usual distinguishing features of Marvel’s film products – illogicality, unmotivatedness, undeveloped characters and storylines, inappropriate drama, clumsy verbal expositions, wretched jokes, naive attempts to laugh at yourself – all this in the “guardians” reached its highest point, soaring to absolute meaninglessness.
All jokes are not only stupid, but also predictable, which makes them even more disgusting. Events inside the scenes, plot moves, and the ending are also predictable. And about the general message, morality or something like that, it is probably better not to mention at all. “Friendship is cool!”, “Men cry too.” Something as well-worn and rudely presented we see in every film of this cinematic universe (including in the already mentioned Deadpool... imagine, it is banal, like all others).
From the first part, I vaguely remembered the raccoon, and it seems that there was something else good in it (picture and music I no longer take into account, since most modern filmmakers cope with them only). And in general, when you consume this filmfast food, by the end there is a slight feeling that you liked. It's deceptive, it disappears either in a few minutes or a little bit later when you try to figure out what you've looked at, but it does appear. There was no hint of him here. Only disappointment.
This product clearly demonstrated the disappointing trend of lowering the bar of quality requested by the viewer today. The gradual increase of irresponsible attitude to film production (regarding not only this franchise) leads to the fact that already and here are such jokes... as they say, “go in”, and such terrible shoals are not noticed or goodbye, and such “films” are considered not just normal, but even good!

Got to the second part of the Guardians, and you know what? I couldn't take my ears off!
Recently, Marvel’s movies haven’t been enjoying their quality. There are more heroes in them, the characters are gloomy, the plots are crumpled, even fireworks of special effects do not save. Thank God, the creators of the Guardians did not dig into the “dirty underwear” and get to viewers all that is there, in the soul of the main characters. There are five of them! Instead, the writers offered a rather unusual storyline, which you watch develop, and by the middle of the film it becomes unclear where the villain is. Usually, by the fifteenth minute of viewing, the audience is taken to introduce the antagonist, and here, something is not clean. And indeed! To do without spoilers I will say that you just need to look, the plot is twisted interesting and large-scale.
But for all the seriousness of the problem faced by the main characters, sparkling humor does not come off the screen the whole film. In the second part, the main joker is, in my humble opinion, Drax, played by Dave Batista. Perhaps, thanks to the jokes, you want to see Dave in some project where he will have the main role, because here he is simply gorgeous. Others also do not lag behind, but for humor, he is clearly responsible.
Baby Groot grows, Peter and Gamora will not figure out what they have there for the omissions, Rocket again blows everything around.
The appearance in the film of Sylvester Stallone in the image of one of the devastators, gives rise to hope that since “The Expendables” did not happen, so maybe they will stop here with Kurt Russell? But unfortunately not. In the frame, they do not meet, and in general, Sly has two minutes at the beginning, and thirty seconds at the end.
To sum up, since it is so customary, I will give the film a score of 10 points, if it cannot be higher! It’s a great movie to get distracted, laugh and worry a little. After all, all the heroes care so much about each other that they risk themselves without thinking. Perhaps we should pay more attention to such fiction, where behind a bright wrapper hides the deep meaning of our experiences, and what we so lack.
Humor is not just a lot, but a lot. For every taste, color, smell and consistency.
I have two news: bad and good.
- Let's get the bad one first.
- We almost ran out of gas.
- And the good one?
- We almost ran out of gas.
'Tango and Cash'
A group of rootless cosmopolitans, bound by a thirst for undisguised purity and debts of conscience, continues to secretly save the Galaxy. Having accomplished many stupid feats and stuffing potato bags with other people's gold teeth and diamonds, they are forced to accept a new challenge of fate under the pressure of circumstances of overwhelming force. Earth adventurer Peter Quill, a good girl Gamora, a Slavic wardrobe named Drax, a victim of inhuman experiments on raccoons in the field of dentistry and a touching baby Groot face the solution of nature’s greatest mystery. It’s time to find out who Peter Quill’s real father is.
Fortunately, the director and screenwriter James Gunn did not stop eating hallucinogenic mushrooms and therefore naturally gave out another masterpiece of superhero cinema. ' Guardians of the Galaxy' still brightly ignite, ironically banter on any occasion and shimmer with all the colors of the rainbow to the accompaniment of ageless hits of the 70-80s of the last century. In addition to the traditional propaganda of hard drugs and family values, the film is clearly seen as one of the main sources of inspiration. Mental, you can even say love mockery of standard clichés in an atmosphere of unbearable ease of being ' Golden Eighties'. Humor is not just a lot, but a lot. For every taste, color, smell and consistency. But the main thing is the widespread self-irony, exaggeration of stamps and strict balance between funny, sad and touching.
Unconventional thinking and drunken butterfly catching by a fly swatter is reinforced by the convincing play of actors with the active participation of veterans of the Kulikovo Battle from the duo & #39; Tango and Cash'. The classic of an amusing script in the style of a baddy-movie - a powerful bunch of scum of society with jokes and jokes overcomes confusion and vacillation, in the face of mortal danger, turning into a labor collective firmly welded together by a single idea. On all this magnificence, a thick layer of hardened special effects, born after role-playing games ' Chapayev', ' Ikhtiander' and 'Drink to the bottom!' in a bath with absinthe. Well, and the soundtrack, cooler than which only 'Do not think about the seconds down'. All is well, except for one thing we saw and heard three years ago. But there's nothing you can do about it.
In general, the fifteenth picture of the Marvel Cinematic Universe did not shame its ideological predecessors and will rightfully enter the collection of pearls of its genre. It is recommended for all fans of uncontrolled ecstasy.
If you like the first part of the cosmic story about a reckless squad of fans of profit, who in the meantime manages to save the Galaxy, you should definitely pay attention to the new film about Star-Lord and his company.
After the commercial success of the first film, the sequel seemed to be self-evident. In addition, the Guardians should be involved in the much-anticipated Infinity War.
Again in the tandem of director James Gun and producer Kevin Feige. Chris Pratt (Star Lord Peter Quill), Zoe Saldana (Gamora), Dave Batista (Dracs Destroyer), Bradley Cooper will once again give his voice to the deadly raccoon Rocket, and Vin Diesel will plunge into the world of linguistic monotony baby Groot. Among the partners on the set, our heroes include the performer of the role of the blue-skinned leader of the Yonda Devastators Udonta Michael Rucker, and as heavy artillery – Kurts Russell and Sylvester Stallone.
The plot of the film is built on the mystery of the origin of Peter Quill, who has to learn a lot about himself and his parents. All happy families are like each other, and every crazy family goes crazy in its own way. The same applies to our hero, whose father fell like stardust on his head is not an ordinary alien.
The film introduces us to famous heroes. The creators, introducing a storyline based on relationships within closed teams, skillfully exploit the theme of youthful grievances that influenced the formation of character and the formation of the character. Desperate thugs appear before us deeply lonely and unhappy personalities who did not receive the necessary amount of warmth and love in a distant childhood. The basic thesis is obvious – we all need close people, whom we can proudly call family.
All these passions are boiling in the cauldron of incredible in its beauty special effects. The visual component of the film is not inferior to the first part. A rich, vivid, deeply worked-out picture of cosmic spaces and unexplored planets is written with great love and diligence. Also introduced new and very interesting from the point of view of anatomical structure characters, designed by their existence not only to enrich the world of interplanetary fauna, but also periodically satisfy the thirst for dangerous adventures of the main characters.
Separate mention should be made of the soundtracks to the film, sounding with the cassettes guarded by Quill with the modest name “Flying mix”. The mix is really flighty, sounds always appropriate, is perceived easily and causes a burning desire to saturate your own playlist with it. Old tracks from Peter’s childhood, which were popular just when he left his home planet, perfectly emphasize the nostalgic mood of Star-Lord.
Overall, the film leaves a positive impression. The combination of colorful visuals, favorite heroes, good acting, music with a simple plot and a simple but suitable script makes the picture pleasant and does not overload with deep meaning. All this story was needed primarily by the Guardians themselves, who, having overcome tons of quarrels and contradictions, still become a family.
Guardians of the Galaxy in search of family well-being.
The second part of the Guardians of the Galaxy continues the work started by the first film - brings humor, ease of storytelling and irony of the atmosphere to the arrogant and serious canon of superhero cinema.
If you are tired of people in colorful tights, time after time saving the world, but endlessly tormented by internal contradictions and thoughts about their purpose, then this film is for you.
Pros – a beautiful visual component, jokes, action, music.
Cons are drawn-out scenes that immerse us in the inner world of the characters and their family problems.
The 2014 film was unexpectedly successful, prompting cheers from fans of space fiction. The creators made an explosive cocktail of adventures in space, unobtrusive humor, incendiary soundtrack and juicy picture. To continue, the authors took the same ingredients – but, in my opinion, everything turned out wrong.
All the same characters, again saving the universe, but the second film turned out much poorer, as if they forgot some secret component.
No, the picture is as bright, juicy, the cosmos blooms with explosions, the beauty of the planets amaze. It is difficult to find two identical characters, designers, special effects masters have worked hard for fame.
But for all the external splendor, the study of the plot did not take much time. All the minor characters from the first part suddenly became the main characters of the new film. And now, with a sufficiently large timekeeping, screen time, nobody is sorely lacking. From this, the action itself seems crumpled, and the characters themselves look pale and unemotional. For example, in the middle of the film, when Rocket is suddenly abducted by the devastation, the other Guardians simply do not notice it. Star Lord only by the end of the film takes the laurels of the protagonist himself.
There is a lot of humor in the film, but it is very monotonous, and skirmishes with a raccoon for two hours, by the end of the film, become simply not funny and predictable.
Most importantly, there is no worthy antagonist in the film, the antihero. In order to do without spoilers, I will note that the villain from the new adventure, despite the scale, is very far from the charisma of the ruthless Ronan, from whom it really shuddered.
The cherry on the glass, the previous film was the soundtrack. The current selection of songs, good, but in any comparison with the incendiary hits Blue Swede and Redbone does not go.
Why sequels are rarely better than the originals, everyone has their own theory. For me, the first film is more vivid and original.
6.5 out of 10
The most amazing thing - I love the first part 'Guardians of the Galaxy'. She is, in my opinion, one of the most successful films of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, observing the perfect banas, aki a tightrope walker, between plot, drama, humor, comic stupidity and character development. Unfortunately, in the second part of the rope walker caught with one leg, and that wooden. Along with Ant-Man', it’s arguably the most boring and meaningless Marvel movie ever released. It feels like the creators, looking at the success of the first part, decided to make the second, cramming into it all that was praised for the first, on a hypertrophied scale. As a result, if a fight is pointless and merciless, if a dialogue is necessarily a drama, if a joke is necessarily such that it reaches even kindergarteners. To my taste, there's only one really cool scene in the whole movie, and that one at the very end, with Stallone. There's nothing else to look for.
What is the main problem of the film? It lies in the plot, or rather, in the hole, which is hopelessly trying to cover a small handkerchief with the inscription ' script'. The story is not only elementary and completely devoid of at least some twists - the adaptation of comics, in fact, should not be thrillers - but also incredibly, simply inexcusably stupid. And I, as a reader of Marvel comics, can say - the source has nothing to do with it. 'Guardians of the Galaxy' Abnetta, on which, allegedly, the creators of the film were based, are simply full of ancient epicity, so they can not be compared with the circus, which was staged by the writers of the second ' Guardians'. The Bendis Ran, of course, is much simpler, easier and more like a sitcom, but even in it, the stories are much more interesting, and the jokes are more mature. Not to spoil, I will stop here, only to add that the antagonist of the film and his insidious plan, which he hatched for centuries, his magnum opus is such concentrated nonsense that I most of the film almost heard music from the old ' Batman' 60s with Adam West.
And that's a shame - the actors are great, the music catches, the graphics - a look! But no, everyone wasted, preferred stupid jokes and an idiotic story.

For the cameo Stallone and for the fact that this film is still more watchable than 'Ant-Man' Not much, though.
I really liked the Guardians of the Galaxy Part 1. The film turned out cheerful, funny, original and even a little absurd. Expectations for the second part were high. Did the movie live up to expectations?
The answer is not quite. Let’s start with the plot (although it’s a comic book movie and it’s often not there). This part contributes little to the Marvel universe and focuses more on the personal story of one of the characters. Because of what other characters go into the shadows, which is not good, because one of the main features of the first film was the team. Each character complemented the other, which created integrity in the picture. In the second part, the characters are not remembered at all, except Star-Lord. The plot is based on the patterns Marvel. This is true of all the films in this studio. Also in the picture, surprisingly, there are no bright moments. Apart from the last battle, there is no original or exciting scene. For example, as in the first part, when the team flew to the planet to the merchant to sell the infinity stone. What are the interesting scenery of the merchant base or the next action scene, which smoothly flowed into space combat? In my opinion, the film was too weak humor.
But James Gunn still managed to keep good ideas from the previous film. Such as: the color scheme - the picture is still juicy and beautiful, the music is still great for the video sequence and complements it. I can’t help but mentioning a couple of good solutions.
As a result, we have a tape that can be recommended to fans of the Marvel universe.
Fantastic beasts set the whole genre, remembered the past, added new colors and now this cosmic piece of adventure will flutter, probably, from one universe to another, but this is not just happy.
The second part is worse, yes.
Definitely there is enough of everything that was before, but suddenly the creators decided to rely on the deep meaning of being on the example of the heartbreaking story of Star Lord, this again does not please and the stars do not add, but reduces and even slightly disappoints. I want the maximum brainless movie with constant dances Groot.
It's not a finish. Vanguyu (probably this is already a fact) the third part, which will show all the not respectable guts of the no-name genre by the way! It’s going to get worse and it’s going to have to change the director!
8 out of 10
Well, then. Of course, I did not expect anything good from the film, given that the first part was complete nonsense, and they did not change the director / writer.
From the first seconds on the viewer pours a cloud of garbage jokes about shit in bed, excited nipples and penises, as well as a cloud of flashing and flashing all the colors of the rainbow meaningless ekshon with graphics of the level of cartoons Dreamworks. It’s like, ‘You thought I’d be as miserable as the first one?’ I'll be 10 times dumber, meaner and pointless! In this connection, Nebula, who reacts to all the clowning happening in the same way as I do, begins to attract sympathy. And this, suddenly, something new, in the first part, none of the characters ever aroused sympathy.
Then the barrage of idiotic jokes subsides a little, and gradually the plot begins to appear. We are shown a new character who is a walking reference to a lot of popular science fiction ideas, and the rest of the picture revolves around his motivation and actions.
Ekshon, however, throughout the film remains mundane, that scene with a raccoon in the woods, that scene on a devastation ship, which is an extended version of the scene with Yondu from the first part. The final scene is also typical of any comic book movie with multiple characters.
What can we say about the outcome? Despite the wacky jokes (many of which are thankfully cut, judging by the trailers), the lack of thoughtful original action, and quite cartoonish CGI, this film is much better than the first. In the sequel there is a more or less original plot, and absolutely cardboard villains were replaced by quite interesting and ambiguous characters. And one of the few good characters, Yondu, was given more screen time. In general, the worst expectations were not met, the picture turned out to be good and in the end was even able to give some emotions.
It’s a solid 4/10 and one of the best movies in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Maybe the director does not differ in intelligence and ingenuity, but it is clear that he at least tries.
The second part of the adventures of the charming Guardians of the Galaxy was waiting for many, including me. The first part became a breath of fresh air, diluting the cinematic universe with an incredibly beautiful and funny space action. And now, after almost 3 years, the long-awaited and crazy gang returned to the screens, only this time the rating of expectations from them was prohibitively high, because the bar of quality was raised very high.
In general, the second Guardians of the Galaxy in almost everything is not inferior to the first, and in some aspects even surpass the original story. To begin with, from the very first minutes, the film looks super dynamic and makes you watch everything that happens on the screen with special attention. The plot itself, as usual, is quite banal, but this time the relationship between team members comes to the fore. And it looks quite interesting, because each character has its own character and in the sequel they are fully revealed. Also in the film very cool reveals secondary characters from the first part, such as Yondu and Nebula. In this regard, the writers worked just above all praise. In this hurricane space cocktail hidden quite everyday problems of family relationships and the value of true friendship.
To the visual component, too, there can be no questions, you can see how painstaking work was carried out on every detail in the picture. A lot of attention is paid to details, besides, the film has a huge number of cameos and references to a lot of events occurring in the cinematic universe, but in this regard, Marvel has always been on top.
The only drawback in the second Guardians of the Galaxy is his humor. If in the first part there was a perfect line with when to use it appropriate and funny, then there is no such line in sight. Some jokes look very ridiculous, the impressions of the film they, of course, do not spoil, but the residue remains.
In the end, James Gunn once again created an amazing film that is unlike any other in this movie universe. The Guardians of the Galaxy from beginning to end cope with their task, entertaining the viewer and not letting him get bored. I believe that absolutely everyone will find something interesting and entertaining for themselves in the film, and more importantly, I am more than sure that reviewing the sequel of Guardians of the Galaxy after a while will be no less interesting than the first time.

The Marvel Cinematic Universe has already grown to a fairly large scale. During the year manages to release about five pictures and it has long been obvious that the bosses are not going to stop there. The universe is still actively replenished with new ribbons, and competitors at the moment have to swallow only dust. This year we meet a new part of the Guardians of the Galaxy & #39, which quite successfully debuted at the time of its release. In the chair of the director is still James Gunn, who continues to develop all his global ideas in relation to the universe of this franchise. To some extent, it seems that a person still has a certain fuse for this, he does not even try to seriously distract himself with other projects, in most of which he is a producer or writer.
The plot of the work again returns the viewer to the rather friendly and reckless company of the "Fucking Guardians of the Galaxy" & #39; who once again must save all life. This time, this activity is very closely related to the past of one of the team of heroes - Peter Quill, who unexpectedly meets his own father. The last Quill has never seen in his life. But as it turns out, Quill's father is not so simple and is one of the most powerful creatures in the known galaxy.
'Guardians of the Galaxy 2' is still one of the most entertaining works and it is with this task that the film copes with almost no complaints. I am pleased with the fact that the quality as a whole was preserved and the sequel turned out not much worse than the first part. Yes, there are some reservations about the slightly sagging middle, as well as somewhat annoying Gamora, who in the sequel generally ceased to cause any positive emotions and passed with a dissatisfied face the whole film. But the rest of the team is humorous, as before. I can’t say that all the humor was to my liking, but there were definitely fun moments. The action is quite happy, as before, but personally I had the impression that the first part of it became a little less. The cast plays quite decently, and the study of the universe itself causes a desire to praise all those involved in the creation of the picture. Not to mention the fact that the musical accompaniment was picked up quite competently this time. The sequel looks easy and interesting, and this, in my opinion, is the most important for this kind of work.
There is probably nothing to say, the second part ' Guardians of the Galaxy' in any case, do not miss all fans of the original source, debut film, and the most Marvel Cinematic Universe too. James Gunn for the second time managed to give a really high-quality thing, which was not enough to get to the absolute maximum assessment. The franchise is quite different from other paintings in the line of Marvel and something similar has not yet become so boring. Not to mention the fact that really big and worked out worlds now in principle almost nowhere.

Dedicated to James Gunn and the rest of the crew who worked on this film.
No matter how successful the films of the Marvel Cinematic Universe are, no matter how positive I feel about them (and I have a positive attitude to most of them), I will not deny the fact that they drowned in the conveyor belt and some viewers began to get a little annoyed. Indeed, at one time among the appearances on the screen of Iron Man, the Hulk, Captain America and Thor wanted some ... unloading, or something. Well, wanted to unload - so get, sign up: on the arena of world cinema from under the wing of Marvel came a very unusual team of eliminaters of threats of cosmic scale, and its name - Guardians of the Galaxy! The success of the film about this team was deafening and completely unpredictable, because no bets were made on it, and as a result there was a very cheerful and positive spectacle, a hit of a colossal scale that absolutely everyone liked (yes, those who did not like the film, I know that you exist, but for the sake of the purity of the experiment we will consider that no), tore up a decent box office and significantly raised the reputation of director James Gunn. Based on all these considerations and the marketing desires of the studio bosses, we can conclude that the sequel will be.
Fortunately, the waiting time for the second ' Guardians of the Galaxy' passed almost imperceptibly, which I was personally sincerely happy. As a result of some thought after watching the sequel, I had a strange assumption that James Gunn had very good parents, who probably told him day and night to be extremely honest with everyone and keep promises. I can explain my absurd thoughts by the fact that the final result of the work on the sequel exactly corresponds to what Gunn promised in the advertising campaign and numerous interviews. ' I fell in love with the sequel script', James admitted in an interview. And it shows. He clearly knows what characters he is working with, knows how to develop their characters and the relationships between them. And they are developed to such an extent that even for troubles and 'family' showdowns between the characters is much more interesting to watch than for how Rocket, Star-Lord and those with them will smash another powerful enemy into balls. Thanks to the skillful screenwriters and no less skillful cast, the old characters have become more multifaceted, have acquired new character traits, their identity against the background of regulars of the cinema universe has only been consolidated, and new ones have been quite competently introduced into the narrative. Especially, probably, this applies to the father of Star-Lord performed by the stunning Kurt Russell, who can be safely considered one of the most charismatic figures of the cinematic universe.
Among all the values glorified in the film, the foreground is given to the topic of family ties, which in itself is fine if they are correctly and believably presented. In this case, everything is quite plausible, the viewer really believes that the Guardians are not just a team, but a real family, and the presence of local conflicts only confirms this. But the values here are not only moral and artistic, there are so-called aesthetic values, expressed through enchanting and roof-bearing visuals, a unique style of the tape and a wonderful musical accompaniment, which, by the way, was selected by the actors themselves. All the beauty of the musical component will not notice only lazy. What’s more, have you ever seen a movie where a song is used as a metaphor? Not that often. And what about the so-called “Popcorn Blockbusters” & #39? Not once. So here is a case where the song is really a means of expressing one of the messages of the picture.
It’s also worth mentioning that Gunn took some risks. This is commendable, because he who does not take risks does not drink champagne. The risk lies in the comical component, since it is not known for what reasons jokes about excrement and the presence of genital organs have leaked into it, but we must give credit - in our case they do not cause disgust, and sometimes even mix. But for the total haters of such ' charms' the creators have reserved more effective humor in the form of boundless banter and self-irony. Special mention deserves stylistics 'Guardians' which in itself is unique and unique. It is gratifying that the sequel withstood it, giving the same cheerful, bold and positive spectacle, causing a powerful influx of energy and childish delight, and multiplying the contrast between the characters.
Against the background of all the many blockbusters that every year, or even monthly, Hollywood offers us, ' Guardians of the Galaxy' with their fluffy character look like a kind of outlet. At one time, the first part became such an outlet, the second, in my opinion, in this regard, was not inferior to the first and appeared to be the same perfect entertainment that cannot but rejoice. At one point in the film, Rocket said, 'That's strong!'. I completely agree with him, because this phrase exactly describes my impression of this tape. And since James Gunn is already in charge of the triquel, I can sleep well. I highly recommend you enjoy watching this movie.
What's the most important thing about the movie? It seems that this is the birth of our desire to continue watching it. And if this desire does not pass to the very credits, if this desire causes regret from parting with the heroes, then you are lucky - you watched an exciting movie!
In the conversation about 'Guardians - 2' this is the end. Fascinating movie!
With these heroes you will be sorry to part again. That's understandable. Tooth rocker Raccoon and cute space Buratino - only this pair would be enough for success.
And then there's the story. Again, there will be crazy dynamics and humor shootings. And love will come – where without it?
In general, you will not be bored. In this picture, your expectations will most likely not be deceived.
A strange company of space adventurers will again easily immerse you in your tragicomic world the size of the Universe. Two hours will pass, you won't notice. Two hours is a long time. But if the movie is exciting, then two hours is not enough. So you will get a few more episodes on the credits. And that's great.
Of course, such a funny cosmos can easily do without a special philosophy. She's not really needed here. But the authors tried to find a place for her, and I will not say that this attempt was unsuccessful. Thoughts about the global opposition of good and evil to the film did not prevent, but do not lead the viewer into the mood when humor will no longer be appropriate.
Anyway, I think it's okay. As stated in the title, they shoot, mock and cry. In short, there is a reason for your emotions. I think time will pass and you will be happy to review what you have seen. And if so, then it is not necessary to save money on the assessment. : )
He might've been your father, but he sure as hell wasn't your dad
The phrase “project from Marvel”, both in comics and in movies, has become a fundamental term of the mainstream. Nevertheless, a significant part of the audience, especially in our country, did not admire the adaptations of the adventures of the heroes of American comics. Films about superheroes do not come to everyone and even with all the wealth of modern comic culture in cinema, comic books about superheroes are often perceived as films for kids. The Guardians of the Galaxy dispelled this myth. In the era of bloated blockbusters, the first part of the epic was exciting, witty, with a strong plot and charming characters. “Guardians of the Galaxy”. Part 2 proved once again that, firstly, Marvel's work may not be the product of a conveyor franchised filmmaking, but an interesting project in itself. And secondly, the sequel in quality can be at least at the level of the original.
According to the concept of Guardians of the Galaxy 2 - all the same first part. A live rock 'n' roll cosmo opera filled with unusual characters and striking visuals. But the plot of the gang of space Don Quixotes has become much deeper. The first "Guardians of the Galaxy" worked, because the film was a fixture, acquaintance with the characters and denouement with the villain. Here everything is built on the interaction of a well-coordinated team and their problems. Finally, an interesting antagonist was added. In my opinion, Ronan from the first part was rather boring. At least compared to the villain in this movie.
As for directing. James Gunn did the seemingly impossible. What looks like Ed Wood’s crazy creation on paper has turned into one of Marvel’s boldest storylines. The material here is presented seriously, not literally. Scenes and plot twists wink at the audience (just like the Rocket raccoon), rooting drama in human relationships. Whenever the drama takes over, it seems appropriate, despite the fight scenes and the jokes. Even the final scenes, which in any other superhero movie would look blatantly stupid (it is believed that any superhero movie should end with a local apocalypse) resonate here. Why? Well, it's Guardians of the Galaxy, it's in their spirit.
Another important thing is attention to detail. Gunn and his team have created some of the most striking visual effects of modern times. Throughout the film, from the War Room of the Sovereigns to the fantastic landscapes of the planets, the titanic work of the creators is felt.
The music can no doubt be called one of the main characters of the film. It is possible that James Gunn somewhat overestimates the comic effect of shootings to the classics of rock and roll or funk. But the Guardians are always capable of blowing up the dance floor. Even the instrumental ambient from Tyler Bates is always appropriate.
James Gunn took into account the few mistakes that he encountered in the creation of the first part, but still not without small disadvantages, even a few of them. First, the plot became more incoherent, especially in the first half of the film. In some places, everything resembled a wildly protracted series of "Futurama" (the full-length film about "The Beast with a billion spins" subtly hints). Such thoughts were prompted, among other things, by a markedly increased number of jokes “below the belt”. Some people do it and some people don't. Second, if you look at Guardians of the Galaxy 2 as part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, the film makes little sense. The general plot of the movie universe, he does not particularly move. What does it matter if the picture is good?
“Guardians of the Galaxy”. Part 2 is a drive and powerful "gicanut" film with an apogee of chic characters, great music, a strong script and a touching finale. On top of everything else: references to “Man from the Star”, incredible cameos by Sylvester Stallone, Stan Lee, David Hasselhoff, Howard Duck, as many as five scenes after the credits and a joke about Mary Poppins, gone to the people. Although this, in my opinion, is not the best Marvel film, as Kevin Feige called it from his light hand, but still after watching a good impression is guaranteed. The film will not be released for a long time.
The first Guardians of the Galaxy was warmly received as a bold and original project. But at least one person didn't come in. Under a layer of dye, he saw a typical dose of marvelin, that is, he saw nothing fresh.
The second Guardians of the Galaxy was greeted with a warmth that lost a few degrees as a less successful sequel to a bold and original project. But to at least one person, it went stronger than the original. Perhaps, only now accepting the rules of this universe, managed to find in this purely character fiction, devoid of any aspiration for science, pluses. But I want to start with the flaws.
As usual, Marvel almost completely creates his films in the studio, which is clearly visible. The graphics are not able, even visually, to increase the area of the pavilion in which the scene was shot. There are no camera spans, which further emphasizes the locality of the action. Even 200 million dollars don’t help. They are converted into an abundance of colorful special effects, the number of which does not equal quality. For all the scale of what is happening, space, planets... the film is shallow. It does not allow you to feel the scale of the universe and the huge area of distant lands.
But aside from Marvel’s typical rough assembly lines, the Guardians have nothing to be ashamed of. This is a fun and quite soulful film, with good jokes, and not the flattest plot in the genre. Of the obvious advantages: the presence in the frame of Kurt Russell and Sylvester Stallone. Here I am, DC courtesan, bought with guts! Although the last raccoon in the film cried, his episodic presence is more expensive than all CGI fireworks, which, like Gunn and Derrickson, burn out in memory with the same speed as on the screen. Two-meter beauty Elizabeth Debicki, cosplay “Goldfinger”. And in general, all “Guardians” is either Halloween or Comic-Con. Not a scientific-populist film about space, time and numerous races, but a fairy tale about incredible heroes, distant lands, an incomprehensible beast, not about collapses, wormholes, parsecs, tachyons, but about friendship, love, family, tare-pusses ... These are the rules.
From the most heard pluses: James! You have an unearthly taste for music! I put my headphones in and go into space!
Now I am light, now I fly, now I look from above at what I have left under me, now through me some god performs his dance.
Nietzsche, “Thus Said Zarathustra”
Summary
Guardians of the galaxy once again save half-forgotten music from oblivion, rejoice in unforgettable hits, fool around and give a good mood. Echoing different plots - from Puchkov's Dungeons Sanitaries to Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid - and deepening the characters, the film Guardians of the Galaxy: Part 2 sings the anthem of friendship.
Museums dance
The song, played during the initial battle, Mr. Blue Sky ("Mr. Sky Blue") asks, "Mr. Sky Blue, tell us why you took so long to hide what we did wrong?" We are being prepared for the action of Yondu Udonta (Michael Rucker), an act that puts him on a par with the noble cynics of cinema, behind an unsightly facade hiding a big heart. This is Rick Blaine from Casablanca, and Professor Snape from Harry Potter, and many others.
Mr. Sky Blue is, of course, Yondu; an interpretation justified not only by the similarity of colors, but also by the fact that little Peter Quill (Chris Pratt) Yondu appeared from the sky. However, mentioning the color blue, "Mr. Sky Blue" echoes the last song "Breaking Bad", Baby Blue, sounded after Walter White, in which humanity once again prevailed, saved his "son". Jesse and secure the future of his wife and his own child. So you can agree with Mr. Sky Blue: Mr. Sky, you did the right thing, but Mr. Night crept up and put his hand on your shoulder. Don’t worry, I’ll remember you like a hero.
And the chapel at the end of the composition recalls the acapel South American Getaway from Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid, a classic masterpiece about the adventures of friends. But even without subtexts and interpretations, like a visual and sound canvas, the dance of little Groot to the composition “Mr. Sky Blue” is gorgeous. This is what happens when spontaneous creative impulses penetrate into a commercial product, and the authors allow themselves to fly and let the muses dance.
To their dance and constant jokes, the guardians of the galaxy once again save her. We are shown the living planet of Ego, Aisha, Mantis and little Groot. Groot represents an invincible force of life (this is one possible interpretation of the last words of the film "Even in these times of adversity, just remember: we are Groot").
The muses dance the whole movie. Director and screenwriter James Gunn reported in an interview that when choosing the soundtrack felt pressure — many liked the music of the first tape, and the soundtrack of the second had to do no worse. It turned out better. These are again the hits of the last century, and the lyrics of almost every composition are intertwined – associatively or substantively – with the plot and heroes. Its understanding enriches viewing, and it is all worthy of separate analysis. Especially for the film created a humorous composition with matchless lyrics Guardians Inferno (“Inferno Guardians”), which ends with the motto “Even in these times of adversity, just remember: we are Groot”.
In general, the second part is very similar to the first, but a little more inspired, lighter, airy and inventive. It's even about the credits. If in other Marvel movies you watch the credits to see stingers, in Guardians of the Galaxy. Part 2" credits are curious in themselves - both video and music.
