Again Dixon, again Haze, again one of the most productive for the film, 1894. Approximately already in this picture it would be possible to score on the number of films of this duo. Even I stopped counting how many short films I watched.Haze and Dixon
In a previous review, I accused these guys of slowly moving from the directors to the first of these production lines. No, really, how many short films did they make that were all about someone dancing? Lots! I haven't seen half of it yet.
In the short film Caicedo (with Spurs) we see a certain acrobat with a pole performing stunts on a tightrope. All! The whole point of the short! What else did you want from the thirty-second films of the 1800s?
I won’t say anything about Dixon and Hayes, they’re no directors, and they’re bad operators. How many of their short films I haven’t seen, but they never had a normal camera angle (I don’t know what the super-huge movie machines were called at the time, so I say cameras), but the actor is not the only one who has ever seen them. Speaking of actor!
At that time there was no talk of any actors! There is no one who did experiments with actors, for example, the short film “Scene in the Forge”, but stuntmen at that time could not even dream. Therefore, in the picture we see a real acrobat, who himself performs all the tricks. And they showed a lot in 30 seconds!
I liked the scene in the blacksmith better, but this picture is not bad! My attitude towards her is neutral.
