A terrible story. In the world cinema there are several thrillers called “Crime”. Now before our attention is a specific thriller by French director Manuel Pradal. This movie is unusual, and in this crime thriller intertwined some art house. The picture looks hypnotic, and its story is certainly terrible.
One murder always breeds another. Nothing is easy. Is it possible to live happily after a murder? It is about these three above-mentioned sentences and think, watching this gray and cold movie. The director puts pressure on the viewer and plunges into an unpleasant and muddy story, which seems terribly hopeless and something hopeless should happen here, because the title of the film speaks for itself.
Before our attention are three heroes whose fates were cunningly intertwined. Two men and a woman: each of them with his own character and nothing they do not resemble each other, only in that each was battered by life. A hero named Vincent cannot live normally after the death of his wife, and then the woman who likes him comes up with a terrible plan, according to which she thinks that he will find peace and be able to live on. . .
After watching this movie, you feel completely devastated. The picture leaves behind a bitter sediment, and walk for some time in an incomprehensible mood, trying to escape the thoughts of this film. When the topic comes to intentional crime, murder, I always remember the hero Raskolnikov from Dostoevsky’s Crime and Punishment, and almost every person in that situation experiences what he went through.
The advantages of this foggy thriller in its set atmosphere, cold intrigue and tension, which played so purely famous actors. When such a high acting, the cinema itself acquires something deep, which makes it more serious and intriguing.
Trinity here was performed by Americans regular Harvey Keitel (living film legend) and the star of The Walking Dead Norman Reedus, the female role went to the Frenchwoman Emmanuel Bear, who so go sensual roles. Of course, Keitel and Bear play much more gracefully and deeply, and it feels good when watching. Reedus goes by the wayside among them, although he has the main role.
The actors were really good, and the movie was based solely on them. You could work on directing. In general, the genre of thrillers is a bit different, and it always feels like that too. This movie is not supported by all the rules of the genre, and the movie is unusual.
Crime is a 2006 crime thriller. The result, gray, atmospheric-cold, mysterious cinema with its own zest and something unlike other films of this genre. The picture will find its viewer, but I personally treat it neutrally.
