Our compatriots have long disliked police officers and tax inspectors. Recently, another object of hatred has appeared: collectors. The media often tell us about the atrocities committed by this profession. Cinema is also not left aside from the topic. But director Alexei Krasovsky revealed it very talented and original, creating on the screen the image of a rather contradictory, far from perfect, but at the same time charming and human collector.
The picture keeps the whole session in suspense, for which it can rightly be ranked as a psychological thriller. The acting of Konstantin Khabensky, who plays the main, and only, role, is fascinating. It seems that you are not sitting in the cinema, but in the theater. And in front of you is an actor who for an hour and a half communicates exclusively with you. Although all this time he communicates on the phone with a lot of invisible interlocutors who are constantly behind the scenes. It is amazing that the director, through voices and intonations, managed to convey the individuality of each person. Involuntarily, you begin to imagine the images of these people. You have your own idea of the person calling at the moment. Among the interlocutors of the main character are not only people. The scene where Konstantin Khabensky listens on the phone to the dying breath of a living being with whom he identifies his existence was very shocked. During this episode, the heart literally burst to pieces.
The evil collector is not the most negative character. Much worse are outwardly prosperous and positive people. But in fact, they are ungrateful, overgrown men who appreciate only their own comfort. And a pile of dung that suddenly ended up in a public place, they admire. The obvious parallel is that society is as rotten as fertilizer bags.
The only, as it seems to me, drawback of this film is that we still have not learned what the hero so annoyed society on the video, even if professionally edited. The film tells the story of a simple man of a difficult profession who became hostage to his own methods of communicating with people. This picture is striking and delighting at the same time. After watching it, you feel emotional emptiness, and the soul involuntarily asks for a happy ending. Even tax collectors, like tax officials, deserve happiness.
I am an active employee of the Collection Agency for me this film was very much expected, I was interested in this movie and as from the point of view of a fan of films and from the point of view of a collector, as in this business I have already 3.5 years and after such a chic movie I want to continue doing it.
We should generally say thank you to Alexei Krasovsky and his whole team that the film took place, because collectors hate everyone, because there are a lot of stereotypes about this topic, many are convinced that collectors are those who come home, break windows, cause injuries, but there are enough of them, but there are others like Arthur, who are trying to manipulate and convince banks to pay debts and other organizations. It is a courageous decision to make such a film.
Arthur is a master of his craft, he works only with large debtors and brings a lot of profit, and at the same time he knows his value, speaks only in essence, he does not waste his time on empty conversations, he is used to talking only in essence, is very convincing, and he has a great style of manipulation, very liked the way he presented himself as different people, and the Debtors did everything to not hear him, it was very cool shown.
Konstantin Khabensky talks and talks throughout the film, and it is absolutely not tiresome, except for him in the tape there is essentially nothing, and there are episodes where there were other faces, but it was very little. It’s hard for me to say what I liked more, the way he manipulated people to pay their debt, or how he got out of something he didn’t do, probably both were just great.
This is a very strong drama from the life of the collector, and a very powerful message from the film. Despite the fact that the film lasts only 76 minutes, everything looks very exciting, strong and harmonious, and he has very nerves of steel, for a person in this area, nerves are in the first place, because working with Debtors, it is very important to maintain control, and this is very difficult, because it is very difficult to endure all day what the Debtors do.
There is a lot to learn from Arthur, but in addition to talking to Debtors, I really liked the episode about the dog that Arthur saved and how he hears how she suffers and suffers, this is one of the most difficult episodes of the film, perhaps only the finale and the episode where Arthur tells Leo about the debtor's son.
I really liked the moments when Arthur is provoked to emotions by accusing him of what he did not do and how he got out of this situation, many would panic, but not him, he also did everything very confidently and went to reveal who and why he did it, and very revealing is the moment when everyone began to treat him after that, almost everyone turned away from him, someone goes about their business, someone he stopped needing, it is very cool that they showed what the authorities are still rotten, who think only about themselves and Arthur’s words that I collect more than you need the whole department.
Still, the loss of reputation is one of the best motivations not only for the debtor, but also for the collector, as everything changed in Arthur in an instant.
Konstantin Khabensky, one of the best Russian actors, he played his Arthur just great, but I wildly liked Natasha’s voice, and how sinisterly she tried to take revenge on Arthur, but still how well Kostya entered the role, how convincing he was in conversations. Convincing a Debtor is a real art, anyone can knock out, but to win over a person, to understand him, to help solve his problem is not given to everyone, psychology comes to the fore and Konstantin is very well accustomed to his character.
The ending of the film is simply unmatched and chic and very dramatic, after such a finale I remembered once again why I work in CA, why I started all this and why I should continue to do this. There was emptiness and despondency for a while, and then there was a desire to come to work, turn on the program, put on headphones and start collecting and convincing debtors to return what they should.
The topic of collectors and the specifics of their work with debtors has not left the Russian information space for a long time. His artistic view of this problem was offered to the audience by the director and screenwriter Alexei Krasovsky, previously known only for TV series. Perhaps Krasovsky lacked experience for a high-quality long meter, but the film leaves an extremely contradictory impression.
The trump card of the “Collector” is the game of Konstantin Khabensky. The format of the picture - a kind of movie MonoSpectacle, when only the main character is present in the frame and all the attention of the viewer is exclusively on it - allows the actor to reveal his talent as fully as possible. Neither in the notorious “Watch”, nor even in “Geography...” there is not even half of the Khabensky that can be enjoyed in this film. However, there are serious disadvantages in the picture that do not allow the "Collector" to become a really strong work.
For example, far from reality elements of the plot, in which the administrator of the veterinary clinic conducts philosophical soul-saving conversations with the main character about the meaning of human and dog life, and the video suddenly gets millions of views in a matter of hours and thoroughly spoils Arthur-Khabensky’s life. Anyone who has at least a remote idea of the work of veterinarians or promotion on the Internet, understands that this is a fairy tale.
However, the main problem, perhaps, is the deliberate positivity of the main character. He is a collector, and you can show him, at least, a controversial character. Charming bastard, misanthrope with a fine mental organization, a bastard who, nevertheless, wants to empathize. However, the director preferred to simplify everything to the fabulous level, where there is good fighting evil. Arthur’s methods of work, although cynical, never go beyond the limits of law and decency (and helping people pay back debts is quite noble and even God-pleasing business).
The director does not allow the viewer to doubt for a minute that the video compromising Arthur is a banal setup of evil vengeful debtors. And the only thing to worry about is whether all such a positive hero can whitewash his good name. From that the final of the "Collector", although quite logical, gives rise to a feeling of annoyance. It doesn't have to be that way in fairy tales.
Overall, the film is worth watching. There are very strong scenes in it (one episode with a dog is worth it!). But all 74 minutes of screen time it seems that the director did not fully think about something, something did not spin, something crumpled. "The Collector" is a good bid for a serious movie, but, alas, just a request.
I am built into a narrow series of Carriers', 'Mechanics' and ' Defenders', ' Collector' filmed with a slightly Russified hero, but still the same, immersed in himself and thinking a lot, though a little more believable and smiling.
Arthur (Konstantin Khabensky), a collector with a mirror office in the center of Moscow, a real Russian hero, framed ' a guest from the past' in this case, the widow of one of his longtime clients. He's a psychologically-assaulted agent who puts pressure on his debtors, caught in his own loop one Friday night. Alexei Krasovsky, the director of the film, presented a psychological thriller, enclosed in four walls. But he did only shoot one actor. It is not an easy task, although the second one did it much better.
In this case, the drama of the director and screenwriter could not withstand the influence of European cinema, succumbing to typical techniques ' incandescension' and ' almost always winning' close-up. In the story, an unexpected enemy posts a compromising video into the network, which should not only destroy ties with the outside world, but also endanger the very life of our collector. In the same material, there will be a fire, and a playground, and an elderly person who bypassed the puddle, and many other things that the hero of Khabensky would better avoid.
The most anticipated doesn't end with a vengeful female voice at the other end of the wire accompanying us all eighty minutes. There will also be a line with a dog, from which a good part of the white light has turned, and an intermittent drum roll, which still sounds much better in Birdman and much more than you can justify a good solo part. And she, I admit, was at the right level.
'Just don't listen to you anymore' Arthur repeats to his enemy, leading with him such 'Game', though from Fincher there are only dark scenery. The chamber picture turned into a closed one, and the necessary tension suddenly became a tortured heaviness.
Konstantin Khabensky is a kind of sign of quality in Russian cinema. If you look at other actors, the same Danila Kozlovsky or Peter Fedorov, one of the brightest representatives of modern Russian cinema. Then they will play in a low-grade project, which will be shattered both by real critics and sofa. And this is not the case with Konstantin Khabensky. Not to say that he shoots often. But if a new film comes out with it, then with a guarantee of 99% we can say that this is another masterpiece and it is worth going to the movies.
The film “The Collector” tells a fantastic story about the life of Arthur, who earns by masterfully knocking out debts from debtors. He's a master of his craft. His clients are afraid of him, friends and relatives love and respect him. Life goes smoothly and successfully. But at one point everything collapses because of someone's joke, as it seemed at first. Someone puts in the social network compromising material and even threatens the life of Arthur. That's where the fun starts.
Konstantin Khabensky easily turned into his hero. He showed us the diversity of the character, all his experiences, all his life. We managed to get to know him so closely that at the end of the film I didn’t want to leave him. In general, it was a kind of roller coaster. Because first you're biased against Arthur, then you feel sorry for him, then you hate him again, and then you worry about his fate again. It was amazing.
I recommend this movie to everyone because you need to see it with your own eyes. Firstly, this is an interesting story, even if it is unreal, even if such collectors do not exist in life and everything is much simpler, but it is still interesting to immerse yourself in such a world of fantasy. Secondly, this is of course an incomparable game by Konstantin Khabensky, which you want to watch without stopping and with an open mouth.

': The day has already been set when a brigade with a district officer will come to your address. .. ' He still says something, perhaps about machine guns and dogs - without listening, I drop. I call back to the determined Moscow number: 'Girl, well, note somewhere that this is another person's phone, I bought the number at the end of May of this year. I can tell you the address of the salon and the exact date & #39;
- No need, we will check and if the information is confirmed, you will no longer be called.
- I've talked about it before, but it continues.
- Because the former owner did not have one loan.
That's modern life. You'll run into collectors even if you've never taken a loan in your life. Without experiencing positive emotions. That's the job. Publicans at all times did not like, and Russia over the past decade mastered at great speed the experience of Western life on credit, the mechanisms of which were formed, debugged and polished there for a century. Which is stronger than 'Faust' Goethe will be, given the national mentality with a large collective component and a small share of individual responsibility. Yes Russian 'possibly', yes 'where the curve will take'.
Given the low popularity of the profession put in the title and the lack of great love for Khabensky, I would not go. Yes, it seemed very interesting to master the process of buying movie tickets via the Internet with a credit card. And after an hour with a little left the hall with the question: 'How?'. How were they able to make a film with one character in the frame, in fact - a single performance shot in the same interior, without tricks and special effects so that it looked like a cool thriller?
Khaben genius, in order to understand and state this, one does not even need to love him. Genius. So what about the movie? The fact that there is no work that would be initially bad: if it arose, then society had a need for those who perform it. It is about the fact that everyone has their own vocation and does not matter whether your socially approved or not: if you find it, you will follow and be able to become the best.
And that no amount of success guarantees insurance against a cast-iron fool who will fly in to ruin your life overnight. However, success does not guarantee that this is how you will not die. It's about being human, no matter how pathetic it sounds. How to be real. In a world full of credit illusions.
Today, Russian cinema is in such a state that any more or less watchable film, in my opinion, should have a certain advertising campaign to notify the average viewer of its existence and finally begin to pay off, so that in the future good Russian cinema can be a worthy competition ' boob-perdil' comedies and in the future (I very much hope) to oust them once and for all.
About the existence of the same ' Collector' I learned just a week before its release and, I must say, was slightly disappointed with the advertising campaign, or rather its absence, because even from the trailer it was clear that the film is not bad. However, no one seems to have heard of it at all, which means that the film will not collect the box office again (I really want to be wrong), which means that there will be the Groom-2, Gorky 3, and a lot of all sorts of slops. Now let's move away from a long thought and get to the point.
The film is 74 minutes long, which surprised me. It is rare to see such a short film. However, there was enough time to reveal both the plot and the character. And everything seemed to be going well, but in the end there was a feeling that the writers just got tired, finished the last 10 minutes from the bum and left. Seriously, the ending here is very weak. In the credits, you ask yourself: ' What the hell happened?!' The whole film was logical, and in the finale the storyline is unexpected and illogical in a couple of minutes ' in a hurry ' ends. It's a shame.
The only problem that is obviously going to be raised in the film is: Is a person with a dirty job necessarily bad in everyday life? Or does a good person have a moral right to get paid for dirty deeds? There are also other problems, which, unfortunately, apparently shoved there for a pile, just to be, but one of these creators still managed to solve. That's good.
In the direction of shooting, I can not throw a stone and I do not want to, because it is quite difficult to keep 74 minutes of the viewer in a confined room and not let him get tired of it, constantly changing plans. The soundtrack is acceptable. If in the beginning it seems that he almost does not exist, then in the end he organically complements the moral torment of the hero.
Actor(s). He wrote in brackets, since in fact there is one actor in the film - Khabensky, who alone managed to play the entire film and did not stop. Kostyan, respect for that. Not everyone in Russia is capable of this. The rest are present only in audio format, apparently, to allow the viewer to concentrate only on Arthur - the hero of Khabensky. Their voices are unique, unlike each other in the majority. One of them (the voice of Tamara) fell in love with me. You will see why I say that.
To sum up: for all its shortcomings, the picture hooked me. One side problem is so focused that I think about it for a long time after watching the film and maybe even reconsider some of my views on life. In addition to this, the unusualness of cinema of this format in Russia. In general, it is worth going to the cinema and support ' Collector' ruble, no matter how funny it sounds.

Just one person, a small enclosed space and — talking, talking, talking. Who would have thought that this could make a great movie, not letting go for a minute? Here we go! Screenwriter Alexei Krasovsky made a brilliant directorial debut, without abandoning, however, here his usual role as a screenwriter and giving out a stylistically verified story, as if woven from dialogues, which even about the characters not present in the frame give absolutely all the characteristic background. As a result, without seeing them visually, you know a priori what kind of people they are. Such depth and subtlety in the "spotting" of human characteristics and, frankly, weaknesses until now I have seen only Valeria Gai Germanika. And Krasovsky added irony and his signature verbal elegance to this dialogue, which is well known to us from the Freud Method. Well, the star of this film - and just star Konstantin Khabensky blossomed all this splendor with his - even without smiling charming - charisma and indescribable smart, polite, but sometimes very cruel sarcasm.
If you expect this film to ostracize the collector profession, then in vain. And by the way, if he were there, I wouldn't like the movie. Not because I’m good at collectors, but because I’m surprised by people who can work in this industry. But I feel even worse about those who are taking on debts like new tablets without thinking how they will pay. Krasovsky’s film about the personal drama of a man who flourished was among his colleagues a kind of “Chanel handbag” in a pile of economic avoseks, but on Day X all his socio-status coolness fell like a house of cards, because there were only those who shared success, who willingly danced around “coolness”, but ran away at the slightest breath of unpleasant wind ... To watch and listen to how the hero does not crumble himself, but clearly, not bothering and not sparing himself, looking for an active way out is a pleasure. This, by the way, he differs from those whom he annoyed at work for the sake of knocking out debts: they whined or angry, looked for excuses or shifted the responsibility to others – to the same collectors, but our hero – like a well-established mechanism – solved a specific problem with the pressure of the terminator. Khabensky turned out to be a very smart guy. Not sentimental, but he definitely has a soul - just no one needed it before Tamara and Art (who they are - I will not say, you will learn from the movies). No one has tried to find her and turn to her.
Of course, on the one hand, I would like a different ending for the Collector. That’s just another ending would look like a “foreign body” in this movie. In fact, Krasovsky made the only true, perfect - like all this film - ending.
Now more and more people (and above all, movie fans) admit that Russian cinema is in a deep crisis, despite all the attempts of the Ministry of Culture and various film funds to convince us otherwise.
That is why such films as 'The Collector' cause increased interest among many, if only because they are independent films. The film crew is not trying to please anyone or adjust to someone. She's just making a movie. Relevant. About the pain.
' Collector ' makes us once again see that in the modern world, most people are interested only in money. That real feelings have become extremely rare. And that we can talk a lot about the presumption of innocence and legal guarantees, but sometimes it comes down to one stupid video on the Internet.
Konstantin Khabensky, in my opinion, played brilliantly. He was alone for 75 minutes trying to keep the viewer in suspense and I think he succeeded.
As a result: a wonderful script and production, convincing acting, music that successfully fits into the visual range and excellent camera work.
I did not think that in Russia they could shoot like this.

It is difficult for me to resist when a good example of genre cinema comes across in every sense. A similar feeling, probably, can get a girl who caught a new purse. Easy timing, sharpness in the dialogue, a clearly written main character (at the beginning like this, and at the end of another), strong support of secondary characters, suitable music, cool work of the operator. Finally, a cozy and fascinating atmosphere.
Already the first scene-introductory, when the hero Konstantin KhabenskyArthur includes sarcasm in conversations with debtors, tunes in the right way. Also, this action is accompanied by a drum part in the spirit of Antonio Sanchez from the film 'Birdman'. I don't know about the others, but I'm easy & #39; get started & #39; get started. The effect is only amplified if nothing more is known about the film than the description. Thanks for being alive.
I am not going to argue that the collector, which was shown in the film, does not exist in nature. To be honest, I didn’t care if he was authentic or not, because I had never encountered him in my life. Rather, before the audience appeared a variety of ' the man in the case' who did a great job and did not try to look beyond his nose. Arthur was sure that only he always won. I was wrong to believe.
Interestingly, the main reason for the melted fuss, for the whole film will not be demonstrated. ' The damned' the video is discussed in the conversations of the characters, broadcast on the Internet, opinions about it are not the most rosy. Naturally, there is a temptation to see the video and take a side. And yet, at the end, thoughts of him disappear, because Arthur understands what rat races he participated in.
In order not to literally turn the film into a theater of one actor, the director-screenwriter Alexei Krasovsky adds to the plot a group of men and women who actively interact with the main character through voices. In contrast to the recent 'Duelist' in 'Collector', each line is pronounced juicy and sweet for hearing. Very pleased courteous, polite and understandable manner of speech Arthur. It didn't even look like a mat.
In the end, it is impossible not to mention the really high-quality work of the operator Denis Firstov. The final scene, when the hero Konstantin Khabensky leaves his temporary sealed shelter, was shot with a bold long plan, if I am not mistaken. It seemed that the collector could breathe calmly, which was followed by the camera, but there will be a surprise. Most pity the girl Tamaru, who had to wait for the call.
Whoever does not relate to the Russian cinema at the present time, it should be noted that the trailer for the film and participation in it Konstantin Khabensky intrigued even from the moment of watching the trailer, and what to say, the very title of the film is already intriguing and not little, and collectors are a very relevant topic these days!
Now, in our time, it is no secret who a collector is and this topic is just on the surface! There is one problem, the work of these people is not regulated and therefore even on television they already show cases of intimidation of people through physical violence, arson, rape and even children suffer! Collectors are ready to do anything to extort money from a person - his duty and it does not matter whether he is an elderly person or sick, they care only about this, and not the way they go to achieve their goal!
The plot of the film revolves around one collector, which is the main character of the film Arthur, aka Constantin Khabensky! His character is a very successful collector who regularly brings a very large profit to the company, but one evening one detractor decides to take revenge on Arthur and turn his life into a nightmare, creating him as many problems as possible! It should be noted that the main character is a very conscientious person, he picked up a stray dog and took care of it, which can not be said about his colleagues and superiors, because when Arthur had a problem - everyone turned away from him, and he had to get out of the current unpleasant situation!
The film is not a bad movie, but, perhaps, has one small disadvantage - it is limited movement of the main character! On the one hand, the idea is interesting, but on the other hand, most of the time Arthur runs around the office. It would be possible to show the usual working day of the collector who sits in the office and calls debtors, but it would be boring, and it turned out not quite that, but there was no special dynamics in the film, but only the closed space and calls - here you could think of something more interesting. The advantages of the film include, first of all, of course, an excellent game Konstantin Khabensky - he still does not cease to amaze in every new film and pleases the eye with his play and inexhaustible charisma - well done! The pluses include the timing of the film - it is a little more than an hour, looks in one breath, easy and not forced!
In summary, I would like to say that despite all the problems that society is experiencing with loans and debts, it is necessary first of all to remain people and be able not only to hear but also to listen to people, and in the work of the collector this is perhaps a very important point, if not the main one! Yes, and it should be just work, as even the main character of the film says, and you should not cross the line to achieve the goal. I would like to add that any work reflects the essence of a person and should be a joy, but threats and other things that collectors do not shy away from for the sake of achieving their goal can hardly be called something good in moral terms.
The film, of course, deserves attention, because this topic is relevant these days stands on the surface and spend an hour of your time on quite not bad Russian cinema these days - it's a rarity! Good to see you all!
Do not play with the past, from it you will not hide without a trace!
Contemporary Russian cinema will live and evolve if it will appear more such promising and deep-thinking projects as the creation of director Alexei Krasovsky - psychological thriller with elements of drama ' Collector'. It should be noted that this is the first monofilm in the history of Russian cinema. And the main task of such films is not to make viewers yawn and miss while watching. The heavy burden of responsibility, in this case, is assigned to the only actor, the main actor, with which Konstantin Khabensky fully coped. Why, in fact, is it worth spending your free time watching the film ' Collector' and not another acclaimed Hollywood blockbuster? First of all, this is a film about the inner self-analysis that every unstayed person needs. It also touches upon the impossibility of forgetting and abandoning the past with impunity. Inexhaustible conversations of the main character without changing the external situation, the investigation conducted by him with a gradual understanding and purification of his thoughts, coupled with the dark and joyless atmosphere of the night, will create a pleasant and not monotonous pastime for you. But everything in order.
The film revolves around a professional collector. Arthur is able to throw off the balance of any major debtor. His trump card is a psychological attack that can literally turn the entire background of the client inside out. A virtuoso of reincarnations, a master of varying the minds of people, a true nightmare of all debtors, what if Arthur one day becomes a target himself? In the network there is a scandalous video with his participation, capable of crashing his entire fortune and endangering his life. Arthur has one night to find and punish the offender. Will he lose his temper? In what dark corners of his soul will he have to look? Is it possible to renew life without the ghosts of the past, eager to point a gun at you at any opportunity? You will find answers to these questions by watching and analyzing the film.
Well, of course, the creation of director Alexei Krasovsky, who also acted as the author of the script of the film, deserves a genuine applause, since this film gives the ground for the growth of domestic cinema. Also bribes the monotheme of the film and the integrity of the plot, when revealing which faintly begins to think: will the hero find a way out of this circular funnel, dragging him into his thorns. If the director set the task not to fail the debut in the mono film, he definitely succeeded. The originality and literacy of the plot construction is noticeable even to the naked eye. I also want to mention the color system of the film. Night shooting, a panoramic window in the main character’s office overlooking the lights of the night metropolis, give a special atmosphere to the film and play an important role in revealing the director’s message embedded in the narrative. If it were not for the huge charisma of Konstantin Khabensky, on whom, in fact, the whole film rests, it is unlikely that the picture would be so exciting. As you know, any actor, playing a role, exposes his soul to the viewer, and in a solo film, tension and responsibility are doubled. Khabensky masterfully shows all the spectra of emotions, while remaining absolutely natural and unplayed. Definitely deserved his victory in the category ' Best Actor' at 27 Kinotavr. The development of the character reaches its climax at the time of hearing the breathing of the wounded dog, whom he handed over to the clinic, through the phone tube. In general, the story of the dog that runs through the film is wonderful. I advise you not to overlook this, here all the moments pass for a reason and can mean a lot. In other words, small details reveal the full intent and meaning of the film. The only drawback, I think, is the constant phone conversations of the hero. They give development and dynamics to the plot, but there is no time left for the unity of the hero with himself, in order to show the turning points of consciousness as much as possible.
Now a little bit of subjective objectivity. I definitely liked the movie. I think everyone will find their meaning in this film, but mine is in a few moments. First of all, pure evil cannot be washed away, all the vile deeds and all our mob will not be forgotten, it will inevitably come out and make itself felt. Secondly, it is never too late to be purified, to be resurrected, but it is not a fact that the ghost of the past, the forgotten and offended creature, eager for revenge, will not appear.
Analyzing all of the above, I want to say that the film is definitely worth watching, if you like to delve into yourself, often include your introspection. The film makes you look at life and your actions with different eyes. The timing of the tape is small, and if you are interested at first, then the viewing will go easily and smoothly, and the entourage, beautiful acting and beautiful musical accompaniment will add to the viewing feeling of ecstasy.
No matter what anyone says, our cinema is a rather scrupulous and confused topic. True, this year our industry has gone from bad to controversial, and now it's like a Dent coin from The Dark Knight - one side blacker than night and the other shines. It sounds pathetic, but as it is, and “Collector” is a vivid example of this.
The formula that Krasovsky and the company followed is similar to Knight's "Loca," in which Hardy's character rides in a car and tries to solve wild questions while simultaneously talking about construction, life, and other philosophical pleasures. Just then the car changed to an office in the center of Moscow, and to replace the construction came, downed, homeless dog. The game that happens with the main character remained unchanged, and in fact, it was very ineptly completed with an empty and logical finale.
Of course, "The Collector" is not a bad movie. Just the minuses that are visible more than usual due to the closed location and one actor, you can not close your eyes to them. The creators had to take these moments into account and throw something more here, rather than leaving us alone with the monotonous conversations of Khabensky, thoughtful glances and blatant tear-crusher in conversation with a veterinarian on the roof. This negligence is comparable to the verdict signed by the creators themselves.
If you go back to the “Dent coin” (just like the term from the encyclopedia), it is worth saying that there are also good points. Operating work, rightfully noted at the last Kinotavr, a healthy setting, in which no one got confused, competently submitting the location, well, of course, the person of Bones. Yes, he definitely keeps the viewer so that many will find it all a clear acting performance. But alas, it is rather a question of charisma, which due to the fact that Khabensky is alone in the frame for 75 minutes, works to its fullest.
In general, with all this contradiction, the moment is very interesting. The contradiction is not only in terms of the creation of the product, but also in the film. And in some places it is just as spineless. Everyone has their own work, you have to work well, achieve results, please the bosses, make money. And what methods you achieve this, remains on your conscience until one day they call you and indicate what a cynical freak you are, not thinking about what is happening around you. Perhaps the situation is the same with our cinema. All these 'blockbusters for the poor ', comedies for the most narrow-minded, collecting the box office, appear because there is no one ' call ' and say: "What the fuck?" Either cover your assembly line, or we will put the filming process online and everyone will see what you feed the audience. Perhaps a silly comparison, far-fetched, but I really want after a session of the Russian film for the general audience, we have a consistently pleasant aftertaste. I think the time has come for that.
