After quite firmly knocked down both in terms of the plot and the cast of the first two parts, came to a certain perplexity from the third part of the picture. This is the case when a change of director does not benefit the film. I tried to literally force myself to watch the movie to the end, but... did not master it. Neither the colossal budget by the standards of the last decade, nor the beauty of Klimov saves the film. Another thought crept in that the creators of the series stepped on the rake of American colleagues, mindlessly stamping countless sequels of “Fast and Furious” and “Terminators”. The main thing in such cases is to stop in time.
For the past 25 years, Russian cinema has lived on the principle of “Our answer to Chamberlain”, in the sense of Hollywood. Incessant attempts to make it cooler than Spielberg’s – “Weary of the Sun 2”, Emmerich and “Twilight” – “Attraction”, Sarik Andreasyan and further on the list, as a rule, end in failure.
The third "Antikiller" in this regard was able to stand out sharply. The presence of more than one screenwriter in the picture is extremely rare when it goes to the movies in proc, but the presence in the list of authors of the new “Antikiller” such bright and peculiar personalities as Konstantin Murzenko, Ivan Okhlobystin, Denis Neyland definitely went to the picture for good. Completely forgetting about the existence of a monstrous second film, the authors freed their crazy imagination and the picture rushed.
The new "Antikiller" is strong primarily for its charismatic heroes. Almost all the characters in the new film turned out bright and colorful.
Lis-Kutsenko, coming out of the psychiatric hospital, which is called delayed in full program - "Said and shot him in the right leg!". The writers let him turn around at 100. The hero of Mikhail Efremov with a great love for hot drinks looks incredibly natural.
There's the late Ivan Bortnik with his "fucking Ekibastuz." Stanislav Lyubshin (Johan Weiss of Shield and Sword) has successfully retrained as undertakers and shoots through the door. Sergey Veksler and Vyacheslav Razbegaev are still cool and unkillable. Even in the film there are incredible killers, among which Vakulu, who played in Gogol, Sergey Badyuk, especially stood out.
I really liked Ekaterina Klimova. Her character, who graduated from Cambridge, is thrown into a whirlpool of events, people die around her in packs. But her heroine does not go into squeal and hysteria under the influence of the lawlessness happening around, but demonstrates completely different emotions. In general, some contemplation and inhibition of the character Klimova reminded me, strangely enough, the heroine of Rada Mitchell from the first Silent Hill. Klimova definitely has something to play, and with the task she coped perfectly, and her pair with Kutsenko makes you remember the fairy tale of Beauty and the Beast. The fact that Ekaterina Klimova is the number one contender for the title of the most beautiful actress of Russian cinema for at least 15 years, I do not even say. In "Antikiller" it looks stunning.
Against the background of all this extravaganza, the hero of Evgeny Antropov is very pale, and Yusup Bakhshiev in the role of Kent was not convinced. But the other characters keep the picture at a high level. The camera work is good, and the music perfectly illustrates what is happening on the screen.
I’m not sure that “Antikiller D.K.” was created as “our answer to shitty Hollywood”, but it turned out just surprisingly well – against the background of “Shoot them”, “Reservoir Dogs” or “Adrenaline”, the new “Antikiller” thanks to its bright characters and hard script looks at least decent.

1) - Do you have any money? So, ice cream, taxi? Where do you come from, you are a banker?
2 Wait, you have a knife in your back!
- I don't care...
I have a normal attitude towards Kutsenko, despite the fact that he seems to be underestimated and scolded by the majority. I have seen pictures where Kutsenko plays very decently, for example, Shamirov. There is talent and charisma and irony. And Klimova is a good actress and just a beautiful girl. This film was compared to “Brother”, “Adrenaline” with Statham, “Trump Aces” and a bunch of other films. Once upon a time I watched the first “Antikiller”, shot by Konchalovsky from a famous book. And the public reaction was pretty much the same - finally the real OUR action movie! Well, he didn't impress me at all. The second "Antikiller" was scolded and I didn't watch it. And the topic seemed to be exhausted. But a few years later, a third “Antikiller” suddenly pops up, in which only characters remained from the literary basis.
I saw it. Well, yes, the film reminds of "Brother", "Adrenaline", and something else, I can not understand / remember. Yeah, they're really good. But not all. For example, Yusup Bakhshiev, who played Kent and also produced the picture, seemed to me absolutely nothing. And yes, as for a Russian fighter is quite a level. Still, something's wrong. Many things seemed to me far-fetched, stretched, crumpled. And this applies to special effects, and the plot, and characters / actors / motivations. The same applies to the “love line” in the title. It's weird, incomprehensible, spontaneous, and ridiculous, like the same toilet sex that actually started it. And it looks like the scene was shot well, but somehow clumsy in general.
I didn’t match Hollywood’s budgets, so I still love the same “Brother” dilogy. And then you seem to understand that both for a domestic militant, there are norms, and some of its parts are quite good, and in general the picture is very so.
Solid urine, lawlessness of the 90s, urine in the toilet, sex in the toilet, killers, cops, some ointments, arrows, disassemblies, general - somehow all this was not impressed. It would seem that Richie and Tarantino also have the same elements, but they have everything done an order of magnitude better in everything. In the same "Brother" even though Danila was cute as a character, and there was some morality, his peculiar philosophy, somehow everything is vital. I don’t know, there was something more, there was something to cling to, the film grabbed and left aftertaste and winged phrases, and here somehow ...

I liked the third Antikiller. Especially after the first two episodes. Of course, with “Antikiller 3”, written by Koretsky, the film has nothing in common, but only those who have read the book will understand this. And so the film as a product of the film industry has grown much in comparison with the first parts. Budget, which clearly lacked the first parts, shot at the level of the television series, has grown significantly and the film finally became a sequel. In general, it was fun like this to show Fox not as a cunning cop manipulating criminal elements from the first two parts, but like a stubborn hero from Adrenaline performed by Statham, a kind of eccentric flying through the film under the parish of “wheels” issued in a psychiatric hospital, from where he was forcibly expelled, and he himself did not want, who amusingly kicked all those who turned up in the course of the film for violating his legal calm, which he was severely punished by psychiatrists from the clinic. It's funny to see a frostbitten mutual slaughter in the morgue. By the way, the hero in the performance of Badiuk looked very colorful - he clearly has a talent to play such personalities.
"Shooting two birds with one stone" through the door reminded something of English gangster movies. The fight in the toilet is a masterpiece of its abomination. By the way, the sex scene in the toilet was at its height – more “live” supply of passion, desire, lust and tear I have not seen anywhere for so long. In general, Antikiller 3 turned out to be at the same time something similar to Guy Ritchie’s films with his frostbitten heroes and vile scenes like Irvine Welsh’s plots – there are clearly some similarities. Operating work is also at the level - the picture clearly grew from the serial consumer of the previous parts. The music is also in the theme throughout the film - such punk-Raver compositions, written under the influence of "substances". In general, Antikiller 3 became a logical and appropriate sequel to the first films. The only thing that can upset is the actual departure from the book original, but the first films sinned significantly, especially the second film with its emphasis on the problem of terrorists, which was not in Koretsky’s book. In general, Gosha Kutsenko once again pleased with his talent. Thanks to him.
Litvinov, you have a knife in your back. - And me. ?
The final film about the legendary operative - Lieutenant Colonel Korenev. If you are looking for a movie full of shooting, chases, scenes of violence and hellish black, and all this in a cocktail with black humor – here you go.
I didn’t say one thing in the prequel reviews for this film – this trilogy is completely censored, and that makes it. This film is a head taller than its predecessors, it is more thoughtful and powerful. The actors did their best. It took a lot of time, and someone’s life settled down, and someone collapsed, as it happened to the main character. Now all facets are erased - the Interior Ministry, the FSB, bankers, authorities ... Someone hacked the security system of one of the largest banks, stealing a large amount of money, not realizing that it is not just money.
Although the director has changed, the trilogy has not changed itself - it is not saturated with graphics, how saturated Hollywood films are. The chases, explosions, shootouts and fights look so natural that they even shiver. Especially the fight in the toilet was remembered for the special cruelty of the Fox, peppered with his black jokes.
In general, the film is rich, moderately bloody, brutal and dirty. Lovers of such thrashing - welcome!
“Antikiller” by Yegor Konchalovsky, in my opinion, was and remains the first and so far the only post-Soviet militant that pulls from time to time to review (the tapes “Brother” and “Brat-2” I refer more to the genre of drama). Shot quite close to its original source, the book by Daniil Koretsky, Konchalovsky's film differed favorably from most of the crafts of his colleagues in the director's workshop. First, a very strong and professional cast: Kutsenko, Ulyanov, Sukhorukov, Sidikhin, Baluev, Belyavsky, Shakurov, Veksler, Razbegaev. Where, sorry, do not spit, get into the star of Russian cinema. Secondly, a competent and well-adapted script, the benefit of it was engaged in Koretsky himself. Thirdly, excellent camera work, fashionable soundtrack and all the signs of a qualitatively made action movie: chases, shootouts, fights. A tough movie for real men.
Spectator success naturally affected the appearance in the next 2003 sequel - "Antikiller 2: Antiterror". And although Konchalovsky was again listed in the director's chair, and Koretsky was among the writers, the sequel disappointed a little. The topic of criminality was not developed further, but switched to topical terrorist topics. As a result, in the second part, the indispensable attributes of the genre appeared - evil fanatical terrorists led by Serebryakov, corrupt officials and cops, bombs, suicide bombers, in general, a typical set that has already been seen many times in both our and Hollywood films. Plus, from somewhere, frank bekmambetovshchina in terms of irrepressible product placement. Therefore, even a complete transfer of all the main actors from the first part could not improve the quality of the continuation, although Kutsenko, Wexler, and even Bortnik with his "fucking Ekibastuz" from their parties squeezed the maximum.
And now, 6 years later, in December last year, the third part of the already now trilogy – “Antikiller D.K.: Love without memory” was released on Russian screens. The director is Eldar Salavatov, and in the list of writers – again Koretsky and the company. Let’s start, traditionally, with a brief description of the story. Our old friend, police major Philip Korenev, aka Lis (Gosha Kutsenko), temporarily lives in a medical and labor dispensary, popularly called simply “foolish”. An old friend and comrade Litvinov (Sergei Weksler) decided him to this institution by mutual consent of the major himself, since after the events described in the second part, Korenev’s life went downhill. First, the new wife left, then began problems with excessive alcohol use, and there and brandishing a service weapon is not the case. In the “prophylactic” no one bothers, the pills were prescribed, again, there is time for creativity, so the fox is not violent and quietly writes memoirs.
In his native Tikhodonsk, meanwhile, there is a complete disorder. Some criminal elements, led by a mysterious motorcyclist, are openly fighting against those involved in or responsible for Shaman’s death (see the first Anti-Tickiller). First, they make an attempt on the direct killer, Metis (Vyacheslav Razbegaev), and then on the customer, in the person of the already known alcoholic banker Khondachev (Mikhail Efremov). Stealing money from the banker was quite easy, but it failed to blow it up, bodyguards saved. Khondachev himself, remembering that the last time all his problems were solved by Major Korenev, naturally goes in search of him, and having found him, instructs him and his deputy, financial director Katya (Ekaterina Klimova), to find money and customers for the next attempt on his life. The fox, justifying his nickname, quickly sniffs out that money is not just money, but a thieves’ community, followed by a thief in law Colgan (Alexander Tyutin). Suspicion falls on Katya herself, because she leads too long and trusting conversations with the former criminal. And with the bandits, the Fox conversation is fast and without sentiment... Here is such a cheerful beginning, and believe me, the continuation is no less energetic. I’m not going to tell you any more to avoid spoilers.
What happened in the end? And it turned out very, very well. First, Gosha Kutsenko. It should be noted that Kutsenko generally carefully treats his roles and in frank bullshit is removed very rarely. At the same time, he is a diverse actor and looks equally good both in action films or crime films (“Antikiller”, dilogy “Mother Don’t Grieve”) and comedies (“Savages”, the first and second “Love-Carrot”). In this case, Gaucher then complete freedom of action and he broke away completely, especially in the first part of the film, when he has not yet taken on the usual courageously cool outfit and frankly mocks others. His partner in the performance of Ekaterina Klimova also looked surprisingly impressive, especially given the fact that in such paintings female characters are prescribed schematically. Klimova also played for a solid five.
Mikhail Efremov, as usual, in his role, which has not changed for quite a long time, and resembles a long acting “drink”. Not annoying, but not pleasing to the eye. Because I'm tired. Of the old criminal brethren in the picture still present Metis, Kent (Yusup Bakhshiev) and Klop (Ivan Bortnik). The first is one of the key persons in the plot, and Kent and Kbug, apparently, were introduced for a round number, because their presence does not carry any special semantic load. But it brings a nice variety. As well as having two bearded killers who could be given more screen time.
Conclusions: Watching the third "Antikiller" is absolutely necessary. At least because to make sure that in addition to all the wretched “Black Lightning”, “Yulenek” and other “best films”, our Russian filmmakers can and can shoot super stalking action films, where there is humor, and chases, and shootouts, and fights, and even love-carrots. And all this is great, and without strain and false pathos.
Bekmambetov should be exported to the United States. Let him shoot about flying Cadillacs. It will take forever.
Shooting and creating sequels of successful films has long been a very common practice in modern cinema. When not every film brings success to its creators and once he has achieved it, so say goodbye to him quickly and simply will not work. Especially in the domestic cinema for which successful projects both from the point of view of commerce and from the point of viewership are absolutely rare phenomena. Nevertheless, the creators failed to refrain from the continuation of “Antikiller” after 6 years, and in vain.
With the change of director and cast, the series lost its unique spirit. After all, the first two parts shot by Yegor Konchalovsky, although not commercially successful, became a cult phenomenon among the people. After all, they fully acquainted the audience with the romance of the gangster life of the 90s, in which their real flowering was. But times have changed and now the film looks more like a legacy of once sensational hits, but rather another representative of the film by the good cops and bad bandits, of which there are now a huge number. Not only on the big screens, but also in television, for which this topic has long become a real trend.
That’s why from the point of view of the plot, the film is not able to give anything interesting and worthy. When, from the point of view of directing, Eldar Salavatov tries in every possible way to correspond to the first two films and gives a lot of cheerful spectacle at the very beginning of the tape. That's just as you continue watching the tape, you realize that these scenes were one of a kind and besides this, the film is not able to boast of anything more.
The performer of the main role Gosha Kutsenko is still good in the image of the Fox, which made the actor a real celebrity. Mikhail Efremov manages to turn even the most feisty from the point of view of the plot of the character into a candy, and Ekaterina Klimov just a nice girl and this in her role becomes even enough.

Antikiller D.K.: Love without memory is a juicy spit in the face of all the fans of the previous parts. Since in fact the film does not give the impression of a continuation of the once popular hit, but also does not give the impression of a completely watchable picture at all. After all, the film is completely woven from numerous shortcomings that test the strength of the will of the viewer throughout the viewing.
