"Accomplice" in our way. "My Favorite Bullshit" is a melodrama, a comedy. That is what is stated on the film page. Lies, gentlemen! There is no melodrama or comedy here. But there is a story about the moral breakdown of man, yes. How one person influences another by his actions and words. Especially if there is a woman between them. Stop! We've seen it before. You know where? Yes, yes, right, in the brilliant (I said this softly) film of 2004, “Accomplice”. In short, “Dump” almost completely copies the main idea and course of events above the masterpiece created by Michael Mann.
So, we have a man, morally weak, who can not do anything in life (in the Accomplice – a taxi driver, in Razdolbay – a father’s son). Suddenly, a strong, charismatic, influential character appears (in the Accomplice - Vincent, in Razdolbay - a PR manager-loser), who begins to put pressure on our weakling. I think it all fits. But there's one big, huge BUT! The main character of "Dumpster", the character of comrade Chadov - nothingness. How did he bring Seryozha (daddy's son) to what happened in the cullminatso stage on the pier? Damn it, I can't! All events + the ending - sucked out of the finger! Unlike "Accomplice", in which all the changes of the hero-taxi driver Max can be explained in terms of psychology and common sense. In short, watch "Accomplice" first and then "My Favorite Screw." Find 100,000 differences.
After such a tense introduction, let's add a touch of humor. I actually watched this movie 4 times. Of good will. Inexplicable, but the fact is...
And now constructive.
Plot. First comes the eternal theme of fathers and children. The father does not understand the son, the son does not understand the father. All this against the background of their shared personal tragedy - the departure of a mother from the family to another man. But, the head of the family is not discouraged, and to conclude a strong business relationship with an Italian businessman wants to marry Serezha (son) to the daughter of a future partner - Paola (or Paula, try to make out). To be honest, Paola (Paula) is the only plus of this movie crafts. For this character is played by a terrific actress, to whom I felt tender feelings for a long period of time (which did not end). Sorry, I'm off the subject. Back to the plot... In short, the son does not really want to go along with his father, because he loves another (it will be the main intrigue of the film). What does a father do to “correct” his son? He hires him a “real scumbag” – Misha Vorobyeva (Alexey Chadov). Brilliant move, Makarenko! It's a masterpiece. So many illogical moves, actions, etc., that it is already creepy.
Now back to the main motivation of the characters – Ekaterina Vilkova (what is the name of her character I do not remember, and what does it matter?) Anyone who watches the film understands how idiotic and illogical her character and the whole story of the connection with other characters. Well, speaking of the ending, she just killed.
There's nothing to say about acting - it's decent. It’s really worth it, especially for this movie.
Another important aspect is music. I thought there were so many good songs in the movie. Drum shot ... Two! And everything! At the beginning of the film (at the father’s house) and at the end of the film (on the ship where Paola bursts inflatable balls). Everything else is a creepy cacophony of sounds coupled with words. We could have found something more worthy.
Time to wrap up. The result: the plot plus or minus normal, but all screwed up the leaky scenario. Two main themes of the film are not disclosed - the problem of fathers and children and the moral breakdown of a person under the pressure of another person. Oh, yeah, it's hypocrisy, but it's gonna be a spoiler, so I won't say anything. There is no atmosphere in the film, thanks to the disgusting music accompaniment. At least the actors, unlike the rest of the people responsible for the film tried. Or tried to try. Hence the estimate:
4 out of 10.
