Fight Club by Lewis Carroll "There are only two ways out for honest guys - grab a gun and kill everyone, or commit suicide, if you take this world seriously" (c)
The film “Alice” was directed by the director, on account of which there are already two films – “Slaughterhouse”, which is some humorous absurd, semi-parodic horror film in the style of the Evil Dead (by the way, very useful). And "Striptease from zombies" - a fierce, fierce thrash about a zombie stripper. And so the viewer familiar with these films may think that this and Alice will be something similar. But Alice is a completely different movie. Synthesis of black comedy, horror film and some kind of philosophical thriller, gives a certain result, which is still pleasing. Definitely a pleasure.
However, it is visible to the naked eye (although my naked eye may be mistaken), what inspired the director in addition to mushrooms. A drug dealer, at least kill, and I see similarities with the character (Tyler Durden) of the notorious Pitt in the film adaptation of the Fight Club, and externally (well, of course, by clothes and other jumps and jumps, and not by his face and expression) and by itself, in essence, the main ideas. As I saw it, I interpreted the story. Yes. Alice, unlike the personal metropolis of Durden (by drawing analogies with the Fight Club), absorbed the thoughts of the “mentor” and showed how they can be applied in practice at will. Having gone through a kind of personal evolution through degradation, self-destruction, from an ordinary office worker to a stubborn one, to the condition of a kind of madness, she became a ruthless judge and executioner of herself and her problems. Strange morality, isn't it? So what is it?
The atmosphere, yours with us, madness is perfectly executed by means of, firstly, gloomy tones, secondly, fierce black and humorous inclusions (the last 20-30 minutes are very bright), and thirdly, a leisurely and rather logical narrative (you will have time to scour your brain, well or not). Also, here you can notice some details that, in a peculiar way, interpret the story of the same Alice (for example: the names of the characters - Carroll, Alice, or the image of a drug dealer - a hatter, and the gatherings in the den - a tea party, on the neck of Alice you can see a key, and the "magic potion" that so does not want to drink - well, you understand). The main characters are glad that the drug dealer (Eddie Rowes), the character is quite interesting, that Alice (Jade Dornfeld), very great she managed to portray a bruised girl on the head (well, she is also beautiful just wow and wah) I am happy here.
Overall, the film is very good in some ways (hell it’s a masterpiece), but I’m sure not everyone will like it. I do not know what the author wanted to say, whether he conceived it as, to some extent, an intellectual film, or not, and whether it is possible to draw any analogies at all, but, nevertheless, I tried to interpret it (and it seems to me not complete), since I managed to see (or maybe I just persist, I will go to drink boiling water and calm down), in the end, art is for this and art, it is multifaceted like a Soviet glass (which I recently acquired, unfortunately, without a cup holder).
