The series is quite mediocre, but I can not leave a negative review, as watching it, surprisingly, interesting.
I immediately want to highlight the acting game. Stephen Amell is Mr. Stoneface and has no emotions. And the rest of the actors of the series, not wanting to outshine the game of Amell, decided not to get used to the role. Except, perhaps, the mothers of Oliver (Suzanne Thompson) and Slade Wilson (Manu Bennett), but the authors of the series quickly got rid of them. The dialogues deserve special attention: they are simply terrible, if just cutting off a third of the dialogue the series only gets better. Too much talk of heroes is pathetic and stupid.
There is a lot of absurdity and predictability in the plot, but it is still fascinating. And I want to know what happens next. There are many characters in the series, some of them are very interesting. But you don’t have to worry about them, they just are.
But action can be called the strength of the series. Good special effects and fight scenes. I am glad that Stephen Amell performs all the tricks himself.
Separately, I want to note the adventures of Arrow and his friends in Russia. It is commendable that the actors ' learned' speak Russian, the trouble is that it is not clear what they say. It is worth commending all prisoners in the Gulag for their excellent command of English.
And I always wondered who lowers the bar when Oliver ends up pulling up on 'Christmas'.
Despite all its downsides, the series drags on. I wouldn’t recommend this show unless you’re a fan of DC comics.
You never get tired of being amazed at the great work of Western cinema. We can’t make a normal film, and this is a series with 4 seasons and 23 episodes in each season.
Such films, of course, call for heroism, sincerity, civic duty and sports. Such series should be watched by our teenagers, so that they had a goal - to engage in exact and natural sciences. If only at our age of 14, they started showing such series as 'Arrow', 'The Flash' etc. I think our generation would be more selective in their professional life goals. It is no wonder that the level of science in the United States has been raised to such a level.
Back to the series, a great professional performance by Stephen and Emily Bette Rickards, as well as Holland. It’s great to see new faces in the series that spark a perspective on the future. The series looks in one breath and is exciting at once. It's nice to see there's no obvious vulgarity in the film. Fantasy and comic book lovers should watch this!
I got acquainted with this series relatively recently – a couple of weeks ago. In doing so, I discovered a fitting adaptation of the DC comic book universe, swirling around several key superheroes. Or just heroes, because they have no superpowers. So why was the Arrow suitable? Let's figure it out.
Have you ever wondered why other superheroes have become so? Why did Bruce Wayne decide to spend his entire life fighting crime? I don’t want to offend anyone’s feelings (Batman is a favorite of the public), but the motivation based on the death of his parents seems weak. "Arrow" on these rakes does not come, this is the first. Oliver Queen (Stephen Amell) appears before the audience the still scoundrel. He loves a rich life, often changes girls, cheats on them with their sisters, and there are no good and masculine traits to talk about. In this way, he differs from Bruce, whose story, although dark, appears to us as a fair and kind character. That's second. Arrows are much better and more interesting, and most importantly, more logical. After all, Oliver put on a green hood for a reason and started fighting bad guys. He had a hard time on a hellish island, having experienced many bad things and let a shadow into his soul. That's where he learned to kill. The beauty of the plot is that in a nutshell you can not explain why it is good. On the head of the viewer falls many different nuances and events that turned Oliver into a good, responsible guy.
If you don’t like all this superhero theme, then I’m in a hurry to please you – this series is not like the Avengers. He tries to come as close as possible to realism, although there are intersperses of pseudoscience with magic, a little breaking this concept. At some point, you can understand that the characters of the series themselves laugh at heroic taboos, such as choosing a cool nickname and rigid division of characters into evil and good. And laughing at the voice of such jokes is not difficult.
The cast is well-chosen. Stephen Amell does a lot of tricks himself. In addition, he perfectly managed to get used to the role of inexperienced game and experienced hunter. In dramatic episodes, the actor also does not let down - he does not cry for real, and my eyes are weeping seriously. This, I believe, is an indicator of skill. Katie Lotz, who played the Black Canary. I remember her role as a robot in the movie The Machine, and her presence in Arrow was a pleasant surprise.
The flaws I highlighted were uncritical. For example, the banal morality inherent in dialogues does not intrigue the adult viewer, although teenagers will like it. Sometimes the combat choreography is lame, which makes the action scenes in the series look like a dance. Computer graphics, of course, can not compete with large-budget films. But it's all insignificant. The main thing is quite different.
In the end, the series turned out great. In each season, there are original and intriguing events, some unexpected turns are impossible to predict, the characters turned out charismatic, humor is funny, and the drama is touching. Evaluation will be based on the emotions presented by Arrow, so do not be surprised. I highly recommend it.
10 out of 10
And maybe 11 or 12 out of 10, and maybe the show of the year.
I started watching this series during the release of the second season and, since (no matter how funny it was) reviews I hardly read, he interested me only with his unsophisticated annotation and what was shot on the comics. And from the very beginning, literally from the first series, the series lured me and did not let go for a long time. First, what I liked (and always liked) is the complete unknown and unexpectedness of all actions. That doesn’t apply to the romantic side of the series. It was basically ridiculously silly and predictable. To be honest, in the process of watching, I began to get bored with the image of the ideal girl - Laurel (and, apparently, the directors too, once in the subsequent made her an alcoholic), although Oliver's suffering for the girl caused awe.
Then what attracted me was the interweaving of two stories and two times: the present and the past. Honestly, it’s a very cool idea and done, I was really anxious to know what happened to GG on the island, why he decided to become a vigilante and how he learned to shoot so well, but it was also interesting his current life, after returning home from hell.
All of the above and plus the actors I liked, humor, fight scenes, special effects, musical accompaniment, which, by the way, I never noticed, because everything seemed so natural, as if it should be, made me happy. I watched the series without stopping, it consumed me. But in season 3, it was over.
I will not delay with the negative side, I will say that half of the third season I watched without interest, there was a lot of unnecessary or unnecessary for me. There was only one romantic detail, but it did not save the situation. About the end of the season, I can only say one thing - I looked, closed the tab, left. There was no epic ending that left me shaking with a crazed desire to know what was going to happen next, even though with Season 4 coming out, I already knew I was going to watch the sequel. Now I understand that the series left a massive imprint in the soul, and I can not help but follow what is happening in the series, and this, I think, one of the goals of the series is to attract the viewer and not let go.
7 out of 10
About the assessment above speech can not be, but below 7-ki put – the hand on the mouse does not rise.
After watching the trailer in 2012 and reading the synopsis of this series, I decided not to watch it. After 6 or 7 episodes, I changed my mind and did not regret it. The first season was not bad compared to other comic book series. Especially pleased with the relatively realistic flashbacks and the willingness of the hero to kill criminals.
There were typical blunders like stupid policemen who do not understand who the avenger is, although this was beaten in the first series. Still tired of the captures and escapes of the hero on the island, too often this was repeated. However, the advantages greatly outweighed the disadvantages at that time. A good element was the enemies of Arrow almost all hail from the world of crime and no superpowers. The element of fiction manifested itself only at the end of the season and did not cause rejection.
The biggest drawbacks then were mercenaries-schizophrenics who were going to start World War 3 and Count Vertigo. The latter spread a drug that drove people mad and brought them torment. This is one of the most beaten and stupid cliches of American TV. Who is going to buy a second dose of this drug?
The second season began to drain the series down the toilet. The dead began to return in immeasurable numbers, and the plot lost all logic at a frantic pace. The worst was the appearance of the Glavhero of the Batman complex not to kill anyone. The police calmed down after that, and he had killed a lot of people before! Laurel was turned into a hysterical fool looking for someone to blame for her troubles. Slade was turned into a psychopathic moron at once, and this idiotic love was out of place. Why didn't he go back to his wife and children in Australia? The Flash came along, and it ruined the last vestiges of realism in the universe.
The introduction of the Mirakuru and its incomprehensible impact was terribly stupid. You can get a sample out of Wilson's blood and then you need someone who's taken the serum. His transfused blood (the correspondence of the blood type is not visible) acts similarly. Why then did they throw away the corpses of the subjects? The drug itself, after 60 years, acts perfectly and, unlike the shown mutilated skeletons, does not cause side effects except psychosis. The very impact of the strange person receives phenomenal regeneration, physical strength and strength of the skin. He is not taken by bullets or huge weights piled on his head, but arrows are pierced and even stuck with his hand.
The island began to take the form of Lostovsky. The most ridiculous thing was the magic steroid antidote that the doctor did without the drug itself! You can’t forget the security check at the airport by the daughter of the leader of the League of Assassins (anyone can be shot by an ordinary cop). The screen displays a “secret service” message. "Argus", and the killer beats the guards not even thinking to shoot her. You can not forget the series about the “Russian goulag”, all the new characters in the current time are villains-psychopaths, repairing a rusted Japanese submarine during the Second World War in record time by a Russian criminal.
The third continued the terrible trend and I don’t even want to write much about it, and there won’t be enough space. The main follies are Oliver’s reluctance to kill Malcolm, thin short girls begin to knock out healthy men, an iron man appears and a cosplay of the fight from the finale of The Dark Knight Revival. Only here ordinary citizens with bats come out against armed to the teeth bandits, and the leader of the thugs orders his people to beat them hand-to-hand. Also, Oliver does not even think to avenge Waller for killed friends-mercenaries worked for her.
The plus was the flashback villain, or rather his motivation to neutralize China as a competitor to the United States. It is logical, but the execution is delusional - he decides to do it by releasing a deadly virus in Hong Kong for which there is no cure. Chinese military labs without guards, American soldiers of whites and blacks in iconic camouflage walking around a foreign country were also carried away. Of course, everything pales in comparison with taking the hero as a long-haired blonde agent against the background of Asians is absolutely invisible.
The fourth has already buried the series finally - the performance of the Green Arrow on all channels has not seen only blind. However, his face is clearly visible on the screens and anyone should recognize the local celebrity. Diggle from the only normal character turned into a whiner with a nonfunctional helmet. Well, at least he's not sitting in headquarters like he was in the past.
Only for the first season and thoughtful motivation of the villain flashbacks in the 3rd.
5 out of 10
The comic book series is about a superhero with a dark past who decides to save his city in tight clothes, jumping on rooftops and shooting with a bow. I immediately recall the words of Hawkeye from the second Avengers
We are fighting against an army of robots. I only have a bow and arrows.
But it's not about that now.
Watching the series costs 1. If you are a fan of DC 2 comics. If you're a girl (since there's quite a lot of Stephen Amell's body and not just him) 3. If you have a lot of free time 4. If you like superheroes who are no stranger to violence 5. If you are willing to constantly listen to the phases containing “this city/this city” and all the other variations on the subject.
The worst thing that is in the series is improbable fights, seriously, this is exactly the series where the hero will be smacked against the wall, and after that he will defeat all the enemies. This is the series where a fragile lawyer will hang the members of the League of Assassins.
Another of the disadvantages I want to note is that in the series quite template, very predictable villains, and a couple of annoying characters who can not decide in which camp they are - for or against the Arrow (for example, Captain Quentin Lance).
And yet, in the first-second-third season, the series is very gloomy, this is manifested not only in the plot moves, but also in the characters, colors, music. The end of the third and the beginning of the fourth season inspire some optimism in terms of attracting brighter colors to the plot.
Regarding the love line in the series, for me in the first seasons it was also somewhat annoying, but it saved the fact that Arrow shared the opinion of Barry from How I Met Your Mother:
How can you love her while sleeping with everything that moves?
I'm sorry, I don't get your idea.
Traditionally, a few words about the cast.
A huge thank you to John Barrowman, who became a real decoration of this series. I fell in love with him in Doctor Who and Torchwood, so seeing him in Arrow was a real gift. He plays well, revealing all the facets of his character, while hiding until the right moment motives.
Katrina Lo - I want to note her, because it is not easy to play the daughter of Ra's al Ghul, but she succeeded. In total, it is just as much as you need and willpower, and loyalty and care. You really believe her.
Emily Bette Rickards - her character has become an island of relative normality in the Arrow team, although her computer skills are sometimes excessive and not realistic, but Felicity can be forgiven for her naturalness, for jokes, for what she really looks like an ordinary girl in the team of unrealistically invincible killers / crime fighters.
I won’t write about the rest of the cast, it’s good in something, it’s not objective in something, but in general it creates a good atmosphere of the series about the hero that Starling deserves.
My name is Oliver Queen, after 5 years on the island.
I wanted to watch Arrow for a long time. I saw the advertisement on Friday, but almost immediately stopped watching TV. A little hurt, I waited for the release of three seasons.
It is difficult to judge this series and compare it with something, even with the same “Flash”.
Each season is united by a common “breath”. First it's my father's list, then Mirakuru. In the third season, this idea has already disappeared. "Arrow" is quite a spectacular thing. A lot of tricks, action is uniform: the head does not spin and does not want to sleep.
In the first season, everything is quite template, uniform and, to be honest, stupid. Arrow comes with the words "you let this city down," and so on in every episode. In the second season, everything came to life, the plot turned different. I immediately remembered the notorious horror movie “The Scream” (no matter what part). The arrow has common sense: why follow someone’s list blindly, you need to honor the memory of a friend. About the third season read a lot of criticism that the action is not the same, and the series began to merge. The first couple of episodes puzzled me a bit. True, whether the operator has changed, whether the screenwriter, or all at once, but shot differently! (this is if you do not pay attention to what is happening, to the dialogues), but after the 3rd or 4th series everything became as before) Well, maybe who from the film crew on vacation was or was sick a little, with whom it does not happen. Each season shows the same attitude towards Oliver. First love, then hatred, then cooperation or distrust, then support or care, and then betrayal. The polarity of the characters is changing.
Put an end to the series after one series is not worth it. "Arrow" definitely deserves attention. Of course, except for those who initially do not like TV series / films with fantastic action content about superheroes shot on comics, and similar people are quite stupid to write negative reviews.
I’ve been pretty busy watching the third season and I’m looking forward to the fourth.
By the way, I heard about Dina Lens (a hero from the comics), who wore black clothes, a mask, blonde hair, born in a family of police officers, who was trained by a thunderous cat. In the comics, Oliver's wife. The series is divided into two characters, Sarah and Loral, and is also known as the Black Canary. I am very interested in this fact.
The only thing that annoyed me about the series was the dialogue between Loral and Oliver, especially at the beginning, the tears of Loral (almost constant), turning most of the first season from an action movie into a melodrama.
And yet, alternately in the series “Arrow” there is a character from “The Flash”. It seems that the same film crew, style is sustained and even the footage of what happened to Barry Allen, used in both series the same, but “The Flash” is kind of like a spin-off of “Arrows”, while in the third season in the prologue to one of the series they say: “earlier in the Arrow and the Flash”, show previous moments from “Arrow” and ... stop-stop, this I did not see!
After that, I had to watch The Flash. And the main inconvenience is that nowhere is it specified which series of “The Flash” to watch after which series “Arrow”.
Again, when you compare Arrow and The Flash. The Arrow is something dramatic, gloomy, restrained, nervous, cold-blooded, the Flash is much easier, simpler. The music is appropriate for them.
If there’s nothing else to see and you love comics...
Just watched Season 3 of Arrow. Expected to see something serious, with a hint of depth and elements of drama. And I saw a stretched soap opera written by writers of TV series for housewives.
What I didn't like:
Number of episodes - 23 episodes. That’s great in itself, but it takes a lot of scripting to keep the story high and make minimal mistakes. The Arrow decided not to steam with this.
Lies. Clearly, a comic is a comic. But Arrow by the number of blunders takes the first place of all the series that I have met. In addition to the standard stamps about films about heroes, there is also luggage. The feeling that most of the episodes were written “for fun” by schoolchildren, not professional screenwriters.
Soap opera. The main disadvantage of the series. “You are my father, I am your daughter, I am your mother.” Then I started dancing like in an Indian movie. “I am a ninja and you will be a ninja. We'll all be ninjas. The main thing is to wear a mask or a hood, and it does not matter that we have only trained for three days, and we will fight professional killers and criminals. "I love you. Oh, I don't. Wait, I love you again in the new episode. Argentinian TV series are smoking on the sidelines.
The story crisis is already in the second season When self-repeats begin, the first sign that the writers are pissed off. Since it is impossible to spoil here, this is the shortest item.
The absence of any depth, characters. All the characters are flat like cardboard. They change the objects of their love and hate every episode like robots. Female characters are completely stupid. The secondary characters are often more convincing than the main ones.
And don't say there's no other way in comics. We know examples. One gets the feeling that it is important for the creators to rivet as many series and events as possible, and no matter what quality all this will be.
Conclusion: The first season is pretty good. The present, the past, memories, riddles - look quite interesting and intriguing. The casting for the main role is also very successful. The story is fresh.
Unfortunately, the authors were only enough for the first season. (This is DC and Warner Bros!!)
Complete instability, lack of characters and emotions of the characters, low level of production due to the huge number of blunders, the failure of the plot after the first season, self-repeats - make the series weak work. And if you do not count the fans of the character, this trickle is more designed for a children's audience and housewives than for the viewer looking for something interesting among the variety of creations of the film industry.
Verdict:
6 out of 10
Popcorn Movie, which you can throw up when you like lumps, and there is nothing else to watch.
After watching 3 and a half seasons, you realize that the current films about superheroes are completely different. This series caught my head 1 season watched in one breath. I don’t want to lie to the other 2 either.
For those who have not read the comics about the arrow, the so-called “flashbacks” ' are presented. Very good idea of the director. The acting is great. Everyone fits in. The main character, billionaire, handsome - Oliver Quinn after a shipwreck gets to the island and survives on it for 5 years. Everyone thought Oliver was dead, but he's not, and he's coming home. He returns to save his city from criminals. That's why he becomes an arrow. What could be better for a movie about heroes?
The series is intriguing and fascinating throughout the series and the season as a whole. Sometimes you wonder if the main character will die in this series.
Of course, there are many other storylines in the series. Anyone who likes a love affair can also watch the series.
Finally, I want to say that season 4 I hope will not fail and I will be able to enjoy acting, love affairs and salvation.
They say Marvel has good movies and DC shows, but I'm not one of them. The fact is that both companies have good TV shows and movies, although in the series in my humble opinion, Marvel leads, and in the movies too, but that’s only for now. Today I want to share my opinion on the series Arrow.
As you may have noticed, I follow all the projects of both studios, but Arrow has not reached the hands of CW for a long time. But later I decided and wanted to see how popular this product is. At first, the opinion was twofold, but later, after watching several more episodes, I realized that the series is still of high quality, although not a masterpiece. Watched and the first season was really good, but after this season, as is customary for the CW, the series turned into a playful melodrama with meaningless dialogue that caused laughs. Let me start in order:
1) The plot tells about Oliver Queen, a rich and spoiled boy who, after five years in hell, turned himself into a weapon and, at the last will of his father, began to cleanse his city of the rich who failed Starling City. The first season in terms of the plot was good, there were unexpected twists, and the drama caught on. The second season was also not bad in this regard, but later these twists began to become more delusional and delusional, the characters began to behave like complete idiots, and the villain with potential made an ordinary passing evil uncle. I am still silent about the third season, which I do not even want to remember, so much delirium my brain could not bear. This is how only CW can merge series. There is no TV show except Flash (I haven't watched a zombie) on this channel that hasn't rolled yet. Therefore, every time I am afraid to watch a series on this channel.
(2) Characters, well, what to say about them, they are not almost worked out and do not cause sympathy at all. The main character is especially infuriated - at first he was cool, to be honest, multifaceted, and in some places oddly charismatic. But later, because of the genius of the writers, he suddenly changed and became a naive and stupid thug who only knows how to beat people while others think for him (this is probably to introduce Felicity into the series and so that she was not unnecessary). The fact is that in the comics he was an incredibly cool character who joked a lot, smarted and supported everyone even in the most difficult moments, and he was quite smart and good tactics, but probably the creators decided to make him a copy of Batman, only stupid and with a bow. Then Felicity with her stupid jokes and so-so acting (this is about the actress). The character she is so so-so, the elaboration is zero, the motivation is no, and she does not shine with a special mind except hacktivism - a bad copy from the Oracle. Diggle is in principle a good character, but he does not cause much delight. Laurel – well, at first she was cool, then she started to infuriate, and then she returned to the lineup again (by the way, the actress plays better than almost the entire cast, plus Katie Cassidy). To be honest, she was one of the few reasons I kept watching the show. Then there's Thea (I don't even know how I feel about her character), Sarah (terrible), Stone Roy and so on. Villains are not very well written either, only the posh John Barrowman as Malcolm Merlin, here he is good.
3) The actors in the series do not particularly like to play. Stephen Amell, if he had anything to do with the beginning, is now just a rock. Emily Bett Rickards, who is loved by fans, just can't play. The same thing about Colton Haynes, I didn't notice his performances at all. Suzanne Thompson was amazing as Moirie Quinn, and I'm sorry to have left the show. Of the permanent caste, I can distinguish only the aforementioned Katie Cassidy and Paul Blackthorn - they play their roles properly. I also admire John Barrowman (as I mentioned) and the great Manu Bennett as Deathstroke (sorry that his character was destroyed and made a stupid tool for hating Oliver, and in the comics he is one of the best). Sometimes there are good actors in the series, but they are not constant, so the cast is by and large a minus. Although some manifested themselves (strangely enough) in the beginning, but it seems that the perseverance of the creators has done their part and they do not allow the actors to show themselves completely, but this does not prevent some of the above actors.
4) The action scenes again in the first season were not bad, the fights had a good choreography and they looked good. But then went on and the creators were very lazy to call good directors and choreographers. The fights began to look like a children's morning and caused only laughter. I’m not going to talk about special effects, after all, the CW budget for the series is small.
In the end, I want to say that the series began qualitatively and at first proved itself well, but the greed and laziness of the CW killed the whole series. 4 out of 10, but for a good start and some actors I will add a couple more points.
6.5 out of 10
The character "Green Arrow" has existed for a very long time and appeared at the end of 1941, and the remarkable fact is that the mass audience he became known only after 71 (!) years, when this series was released, getting rid of color in the title. At the moment there are 3 seasons and the speech in the review will go about all three.
The story begins almost verbatim retelling the story of the movie "Rogue" with Tom Hanks with the difference that the AKA Arrow Oliver Quinn rescued sailors who accidentally sailed past his island. Further, in his house Oliver is met with restraint, almost emotionless, because many have long said goodbye to him, so they do not know how to behave in such a situation. It’s not new, but it’s interesting enough for writers to steer in the right direction. However, for the script to work, you need good actors, and there are not so many of them. Just Felicity, Captain Lance, Slade Wilson and Sarah Lance. Everyone else is a giant miss in the cast, and the main miss is the main actor. Steven Amell will never see prestigious acting awards like the Oscars or the Golden Globes, but in such a series it is not necessary, but it is still painfully wooden. Now it's seasonal.
The first season is a strong middle man. Not a bad start, a bit of a sank middle and a very good finish. The last series seems to be made according to all the rules and with a soul, and the rest - so, for scale and general background. The ending leaves a lot of questions, and I love that, because it’s always nice to speculate a quarter of a year about what happens next. Well, the main villain Malcolm Marilyn AKA Black Arrow also came out well. In a season of 8.5.
The second season is very good. It starts with a beautiful series, again a slightly subsided middle and a delightful finale. Deathstroke in general at the moment the best villain for 3 seasons, the writers are not afraid to kill one of the main characters, Arsenal plays better than Arrow, the augmented history of the island in flashbacks, the introduction to the Barry Allen series, in general - there are many pluses and frankly weak series. Season 9.5.
The third season, the ambiguity of everything. On the one hand, Sarah's death caused many members of Quinn's group to change their character and morale. Also, the main villain of the season was the truly great Ras Al Ghul, who is easier to deceive here than to come up with a clear plan to deceive Ras himself. Lorel Lance becomes Canary in her place after her sister's death, one of the most idiotic and empty replacements I've ever seen. Laurel is an extremely pale shadow of Sarah, which is impossible to look at without pity, because she is not beautiful, not smart, and does not possess the fighting skills that her sister possessed. The series was distributed like this - it does not start badly, but the middle series this time became simply magnificent. "Climb" and "The Brave and the Bold" became the best series of the whole series (thanks to the Flash and his humor), making the third season not so merged. And it could have been fused because of the ending. I have not seen such a big failure in a long time. The ending is not logical, not interesting, and in general does not fit with the central series, in which Ras appears as the strongest and smartest villain of Arrow. And in the final, he loses to Quinn as the last amateur, while somewhere in 3 episodes he believes his stories about loyalty, although Quinn’s character has not changed at all – everything was predictable, but Ras apparently looked the wrong way all the time. Liam Neeson was much better. Vlashbacks this time only annoy and prevent you from watching the main line of the present, and the drama did not come out of it. If the ending was the same as the beginning of the season, he would have received 9.5; if as the middle, then 10/10 and not otherwise, but thanks to the final terrible and several bad series, the score drops to 8.5 - still the Flash pulled out part of the season, pulling the blanket over himself.
Bottom line: having 3 seasons, the series constantly changes the quality of its series and reaches the peak of contrast in the last third season. The characters in the quality of the game and the story are also completely different, and Arrow is still the same wooden and plays at the level of Megan Fox (apparently for this reason he announced his participation in the second Turtles). For a lot of things I could lower the overall rating of the series, but you get a lot of fun from watching, so
9.5 out of 10
P.S. Why the series itself did not show, and in the trailer “Legends of Tomorrow” completely burned Sarah. What, then, is the point of season three as such, if many of the actions were based on that, as was the whole season 3?
As with most projects, each successive season was... no better than the previous one.
So let's start. In the first season, the plot is easy, the series is logical and in each subsequent there is something, not something new, but at least some variety. Everything looks in one breath, fast, easy. Even low-budget and not the most natural effects, did not spoil the series.
The main character, as in most cases of this genre, tries to save his city, and along the way, make amends for the mistakes of his deceased father. All men are brothers, and those who disagree with that arrow. And in personal life there are intrigues and not everything is so clear, but the topic does not press and does not interfere with watching and resting from the hustle and bustle of the world.
But, after watching the second season, the opinion radically changed to negative, each series became boring, the plot was stretched for the whole season, the romance of the film disappeared completely. Lots of superheroes. Sarah, over the grave of which the main character grieved and asked forgiveness for her death, somehow alive. How????? and why, everything is so confusing and washed up!!! Incomprehensible resurrections from the dead, not the smartest actions of some heroes, delaying the plot, from a light action movie, turned the series into soapy and dull... well, you understand me.
The third season is not much different from the second, there is no point in writing something about it, just read above.
Summing up, I want to say: A good and strong middle man, but... only the first season. During the second and third seasons, there was a strong feeling that the script was written in between filming.

Once upon a time there was a young man, the son of rich parents. He didn’t care about anything, disappeared to clubs and discos, changed girls. Suddenly, the wreck of a sea yacht threw him to a distant island. There, under the pressure of circumstances, its essence began to manifest.
One day, Oliver Queen returned to his hometown, armed with a bow and arrows and hiding his identity under a green hood, to save people from criminals and find himself real.
Screenwriters, directors, actors and stuntmen each series of the film is inspired by martial arts, sword battles, chases, jumps, shooting and spectacular arrow flights. And no less skillfully, directors, screenwriters and actors saturate each series with a dramaticly built relationship between the characters: a son with a father, a mother with a son, a brother with a sister, the main character with his assistants, with his friend, with his (Oliver Queen) ex-girlfriend, with his other ex-girlfriend, with a detective - the father of these girls. All this is in the process of fighting villains of large calibers.
There is a tug-of-war competition between the dramaturgy of comic action and the dramaturgy of human relationships, and as a result, this virtual rope is attached to the dynamo machine, a powerful locomotive taking the series (23 episodes per season!) to high levels of fun and skill.

If the season is a bush, I have eaten three. And I will.
"Eat for your health." Just look, friend, do not burst.
The first season of Arrow was a real discovery for me. Favorite since childhood heroes DC received a new incarnation on television screens and the embodiment of this turned out to be very, very good. Yes, it was immediately noticeable some budget shooting, but the series did not spoil, but on the contrary forced the writers to look for simple and realistic situations.
But some time passed and the style of the series began to change rapidly. The first characters with superpowers appeared, and the relationship between the characters began to resemble a soap opera, wherever all relatives or friends look. And of course, absolutely meaningless melodramatic scenes, which with each season became more and more. I will not say that the series does not need them, sometimes they revealed the characters or their motivations, but not in the same quantities to insert them.
At the same time, even closer to the finale, new characters continued to appear, and almost always they came to the place. The series gave a new interpretation of the images of both heroes and villains, and some of them turned out to be really complex and interesting. I was especially pleased with the local Deadshot, here he is not just a shooter without a miss, but also a person with a difficult fate and the ability to make responsible decisions.
And finally, the production, it is performed on a very worthy, especially for the series standards. But as strange as it sounds, flashbacks look much more convincing than the main story. The fights are spectacular, but they lack realism.
In general, the series at first gave high hopes, but the management of DC with each new season tried to cram into it as many characters, events, places, but somehow lost the very essence of the series.

Season 3 Beginning with the murder of one of the most attractive characters, the third season immediately declared itself as the weakest in the cycle. The wildly unsuccessful caste of the main villain only confirmed this situation. But, nevertheless, in the series were successful casting decisions. The second Count Vertigo played by Peter Stormare, the villain Brick played by Winnie Jones, the superhero Atom, played by Brandan Root and others, such as General Matthew Shreve, whose role was played by Mark Singer, known for the series “Beastmaster” or Tatsu-Katana, played by Rila Fukushima from “Wolverine 2”. Guest characters from the comics are still enough, and perhaps this season they are even more than in the first, if not more than in the second. Among them are characters of the third degree: businessmen, doctors, news anchors, and weighty characters. Villains like Komodo or Cupid, enemies with super powers like Death Bolt, as well as flashbacks with Katana, Amanda Waller and others. The general degree of comics became even higher than usual. The series introduces super powers and the Lazarus Pit, which resurrects the dead. Arsenal and the Second Black Canary continue their journey, Thea Queen finally becomes Speedy, in the last series flashing in full costume and mask. Even Felicity Smoak tried on Atom's outfit. At the same time, even claims of non-canonicality of some details can be safely discarded. Like, for example, in the comics, Maceo and Tatsu had two daughters, and here one son, given the tragic development of the plot of flashbacks. And Katana herself in a costume is simply super-canonical comic prototype (it is curious that the upcoming Suicide Squad will have the same canonical costume). The number of heroes, super-villains and costumes with masks has increased, which only benefited the series. But the main plot of the third season is still too significant its disadvantage. All this nonsense with the League of Assassins dullly stretched on a string of feints with thoughtful plans, unexpected moves, betrayals and revelations. Yes, thanks to this story, we have Malcolm Merlin in the main characters on a regular basis all season. Barrowman drags the season on himself almost alone, sometimes yielding to other good sidelines of the plot. Thea cut her hair, but became even more beautiful. Her transformation from a weak girl to a full-fledged superhero for the season was the brightest. Laurel finds new teachers: Wild Cat and Nyssa Al Ghul, also turning into a new Black Canary after her sister. A little extra in the season came out Roy Harper, aka Arsenal, and John Diggle. Their dialogues are the same, the role in each series is identical, and a number of conflicts - we have already seen in previous seasons, so their characters are stuck in self-repeat and uniformity. Roy handed over the red suit to Thea and dumped in an unknown direction altogether, and Diggle will sort of try on the mask and costume (potentially the Guardian) next season, as hinted at in the season finale and a number of interviews, and facial shots, as was done for Thea, Laurel and everyone else. But despite the not-too-remarkable plot about the virus and the League of Killers, the third season of Arrow is quite different from the plot about the seismic bomb and the army of super-soldier zombies of the previous two. Despite the fact that the season came out weaker and duller than the rest, we must pay tribute, it still has the right to exist and turned out to be very superhero (unlike the end of the first season). "Arrow" does not stomp in place, but quite moves forward. I just want to believe that next season will be more interesting. And since we were left without Canary-Sara (she is still promised to be resurrected in the series Legends of the Future in the form of the White Canary), I want to see more Thea Queen as Speedy. There was a lot of action, a lot of heroism and comics, for all its shortcomings, the season is still very good. 7 out of 10 Original
Season 1 Green Arrow is a good character for adapting the superheroic "without super-powers", but it is not clear why it was necessary to also mundanely adapt super-characters, for example, make the Gang of Flash Royal ordinary robbers in hockey masks. Still, if Smallville was saturated with fantasy and ability from and to, then Arrow is a curious alternative for contrast. True, mostly here go the way of the nightmarish Nolan "Batman: Beginning", in fact, the entire main storyline copying from there, however, the series came out surprisingly watchable. Fan service begins with the first series. Desstroke's mask on the island, little sister's name is Speedy, best friend's name is Marilyn and all that. Then the plot quickly rushes to collect the hero of his colleagues, signify a love triangle and constantly introduce elements of a large conspiracy. Although the concept remains a simple “villain of the week”, each time arranging a small brawl with a new antagonist. After spending 5 years on the island of rich Lovelace Oliver Queen decides to become a superhero archer to clean the city of major criminals, all this accompanied by flashbacks about motivation and training, so it looks very cheerful. But many characters wander from series to series. Here it is especially pleasant to note China White, who became in the series even more comic than, in fact, in the comic book. A successful adaptation of Deadshot (much better than in Smallville), a chic pseudo-Desstroke and a great Slade himself, although never wearing a mask, as many as three appearances of a chic Huntress, several episodes with Count Vertigo adapted for a psycho-drug dealer, and even the appearance of Roy Harper - Arsenal or Red Arrow (Speedy's nickname is already booked by Thea). Well, among the one-time participations can be noted, for example, Firefly - a firefighter-killer or Konstantin Dragon. Sometimes there are sudden short surprises, like Brutal’s killer in the prologue of one of the series. The line on the island quickly becomes not just a series of necessary flashbacks, telling us either about Oliver’s training, or about some related moments of the past with the present, but a dense second storyline, where there is also the main villain – Fayers. The main villain of the main storyline is the Dark Archer, the father of his best friend, brilliantly played by Barrowman, is able to steal any series with his appearance, both in a suit and in an everyday jacket. “Arrow” generally rests mainly on the villains, and not on the central characters. With the main characters cope with something. Half of the series Oliver with his partner-Diggle regularly change places in the dialogues “well, I told you so!”, changing manias and obsessions on certain characters, the love triangle for the 23rd series is lined up with dotted, often quite stupid and also some kind of similar scenes. It seems that the writers of one series clearly did not watch the previous ones, repeating themselves, suddenly directing the relationship in the wrong direction and generally spoiling the rudiments of the plot with very poor and mediocre development. Brother and sister relations are conditionally developed only in the first series, the topic of the best friend is not disclosed at all, relations with parents are issued superficially. But at the same time, part of the series still turns into a nightmare soap, from which the eyes pinch. The truth of excesses with melodramaticity often saves a great action. After “Smallville” in which in 1 super-blow solved absolutely all the problems, where there was really no protracted fights and muzzle, where except for the finale of season 8 with Doomsday, even blood and murders were not really shown, “Arrow” gives just incredible chips. The series is incredibly cruel, full of visually demonstrative violence and blood, which for the youth channel, where the censorship “Vampire Diaries” and “Supernatural” are completely going, looks simply incredible development and a step forward. The action in the "Arrow" is very much and most often it is healthy shot. Assaults of mansions, shootouts from bows, jumps and spectacular chases, hand-to-hand long fights that do not end with a couple of clear blows. In this regard, "Arrow" is really gorgeous and cool! But for 23 series truly absolutely masterpiece series incredibly few. For the most part, the series adheres to a solid “good” mark. Often without enthusiasm, but with pleasure you look at each story, and how in parallel the overall mosaic is assembled into a single picture. However, the final series turns out to be so bad and controversial that it threatens to kill a number of pleasant and good impressions. Even with the total number of fan-service authors do not have the courage to pull a really cool movie comic. They introduce Dodger without the slightest connection to the League of Shadows, do not tell directly where the Dark Archer studied, do not present Laurel’s mother as a “retired superheroine”, no first Black Canary. But constantly in dialogue one way or another refer to the fictional hometowns of a number of other superheroes. Another big mistake was to celebrate the 18th anniversary of Thea, now instead of the schoolgirl of a teenage girl, we have a young girl looking for work, and after all, there was the best character of the series, constantly throwing away a bunch of trademark teenage chips, and now everything will go into vitality and seriousness. What usually in the series would take a season or two, here deftly fits in a couple of episodes. Not to mention this general speed drive. It may lose some aspects of the transformation and development of events and heroes, but this haste strikes directly with the movement of the plot and series, and most often the series only benefits. Almost always a fairly well-chosen cast and well-played characters, excellent action and not boring scripts make Arrow a wonderful and interesting series. Here, of course, there are their worst series, and their worst villains, and I don’t know why invented especially for the series fat-bags-rich, but the pros pretty outweigh. At least outweighed until the most recent series of the season. Let’s see what happens next. 7 out of 10 Original
Season 2 First, maybe a few words about the second season. That was great! A huge number of characters from the comics, bright accents in the endings of the storylines, the heroic salvation of the city from the double threat of both the Desstroke Army and the plan of A. R. G. W. S. and Amanda Waller to blow everything up in the trash. Speaking (broken) Russian Anatoly Knyazev (KGBeast). Red masked Roy Harper. The return of Malcolm Merlin – Dark Archer and the departure of Thea with him (renders her the real Speedy!). And Barrowman kind of signed in the permanent lineup of season 3 and now will flash there quite often. What a gorgeous and diverse Arrow Squad turned out in the final, their Justice League was assembled straight! The sea of action and the coolest fights! Totally delighted! For the entire season, Arrow has exceeded all expectations. Oliver put on a mask and became known not as “the Avenger” and “Arrow”. After a quite good first season, where in addition to the comic villains, there was a groa of just so invented worthless characters for many series, the second season never did without an abundance of comic characters, regularly delighting, not only with the presence of headquarters of the S.T.A.R. Labs, things like Arthur Light's cannon (such as Bettany Snow and Linda Park in the news), mentions of characters, organizations, places, or references to something (especially the advertising of the film "Blue Devil", Dr. B.C.A.R. W. W., also in the series "D.C.C.C.C., D.C.A., D.C.C.C.C.C., Caittle" and D.C.C., Caittle, a regular" in the "C.C.C.C.C.C.C.C.C.C.C.C., Caittle" in the series "C., Caittle" from the "C.E.C.C.C.C.C., and "Al During the season, a number of different characters were killed, and most often they did it unexpectedly and suddenly, in the best traditions of Game of Thrones. Both villains and positive characters. In fact, it is a pity only that they merged the Puppetman and Count Vertigo, the painfully cool among them were villains. Well, about Detective Lance in the finale - he's kind of signed on a regular basis for the third season, so I'm sure he'll get smacked again. The second season was incredibly pleased with the abundance of action, and with the participation of comic characters in costumes and masks. A real superhero series, what "Arrow" and want to see! And also believe that in the future he will not get worse, but will keep the brand, introduce new heroes and cross-overs. We could also do a series about Suicide Squad, Nightwing and somebody else. We're waiting for The Flash. For the whole season, no series fell below 8 out of 10, regularly delighting and sometimes directly delighting with its quality! Characters, action, plot development and mega-cool plot twists, as in the final with an injection for Slade, amaze the imagination and make the writers admire from episode to episode. There are practically no boring series, and even little significant and passing episodes, as well as a series of calm before something global and epic, still look great and comic. "Arrow" this season was incredibly pleased! This is a real superhero series, which should be any such! 9 out of 10 Original
The series was never very fond of, watched only detective, such as “Poirot” or “The Mentalist”. In them, I was attracted by the presence of a certain mystery in each individual series and the realism of what was happening. That’s what got me excited about Arrow, especially after watching the first episodes.
The Green Arrow, if you take the image from the comics, is a very funny and charismatic hero. One of DC’s heroes has no superpowers, along with Batman. In the original idea, Arrow was introduced as Batman, only with a bow. Here we see the serious Oliver Queen played by Stephen Amell. It was unusual. However, recalling the success of the recent Dark Knight trilogy, it is clear that the authors wanted to bring Nolan to the series. Which they did quite well. At least in the first season.
The hero returns from the island, begins to fight criminals, overgrown with associates. Everything is very similar to a high-tech action detective with a weak detective component, which is necessary for a tick. The action is good. The arrow jumps on rooftops like a sweltering parkourman, shoots arches like Robin Hood, fights like a ninja. Everything looks good and on a level. The plot, despite a certain clumsyness, also keeps in suspense.
What really failed was to write quality dialogues, which are far-fetched here. Sometimes the heroes don’t believe it. The content of the main part of the replicas, a feeling is created, the authors of Brazilian series wrote, that for a high-quality series is unacceptable.
The cast is well selected, all in their places. But the acting game sags in places. Brutal Stephen Amell will look great in the image of Arrow, but as soon as it comes to showing any emotions, the only thing he can squeeze out of himself is to squeeze his lips and build up the face of the offended dog. This is very, very damaging to the overall impression.
Bottom line: a series that has been keeping a lot of the first season on hold, giving hope that it will be realistic and profound. But from the beginning of the second and further falls into the abyss of the most complete comic chip, the weakest motivation of the characters and a huge number of snotty dialogues, from which it just begins to turn.
And yet, for trying to create Batman in the hood

It is worth mentioning that I have watched all the episodes released so far.
So, let’s start with the plot: it’s not bad, sometimes holes slip, especially in season 2, but in general, whole and watchable. Some are disappointed by the template, but this is a comic book series, and not a swirling dramatic thriller, that is, there is no escape from the templates, even with a great desire. Flashbacks fit very well, sharp turns are present and the end of almost every series is intriguing. But there's one thing, and it's all these love triangles, that makes you wonder if I'm actually watching a DC superhero series, or is it a spin-off of The Vampire Diaries? Of course, I am not against this component, no, but it seems to me that the creators too much with melodrama. While this might be expected by looking at the USTV-14 rating, it’s possible to guess that the target audience is teenagers.
The characters are drawn normally, everything is like a conveyor, that is, stamps, stamps, stamps, but I repeat, in this genre they can not escape. But some characters, such as Laura Lance (Katie Cassidy), are very dubious, because sometimes her actions contradict common sense: at least kill, but I do not understand how you can forgive a person who not only changed things to you with your own sister, but also indirectly responsible for her death.
Another trouble of this series, in my opinion, is too idealized dialogues and monologues, which, according to the idea, should penetrate the soul to the viewer and hurt the living, but alas, it does not work out, everything seems painfully overplayed, which makes the series lose its sincerity.
There is nothing special to say about the actors: Will Holland delights in the role of Thea Quinn, Slade Wilson performed by Manu Bennett, and Paul Blektorn as Detective Lance. The rest are level, not good, but not bad.
Action level, fight scenes staged well, it's a plus. The appearance of Desstroke and Deadshot on the screen is also a plus. Musical accompaniment at level. Otherwise, the series will be interesting only to a certain audience, that is, teenagers, some fans of drama, and all those who will watch what is happening with one eye. To a demanding and attentive viewer, I would not recommend this product - it will often be painful for him to wrinkle during dialogues and resent the inattention of the creators to the details.

After watching the old series Robin of Sherwood, I decided to look for a similar movie. So came across the beginning to gain momentum series “Arrow”. I watched the series as it came out and voiceovers.
The plot interested. Avenger, justice, suit, bow and arrows ... Murrr, that's what I like. I like to fight for justice in masks and costumes.
Plot. A handsome billionaire after a shipwreck and the death of his father falls on the island. There, his life changes dramatically and he learns not only to defend himself, but also to kill. After 5 years, he returns to his hometown and becomes the defenders of the people living there, restoring order and justice. Each episode of the first season has a story that ends in the same series and a story that lasts all season. In the first season, the identity of the main enemy of the Arrow is shrouded in mystery and it intrigues, I want to see until the end. In the second season, the dead begin to emerge. Oh, I don't like all those resurrections - "died like that." And season three. Yes, the number of superheroes per square meter of the city just skyrocketing! The past and the present are mixed beyond recognition, again the “resurrected dead” and the complete lack of logic and purpose of the main characters. The story goes around. What happened in the first series is repeated in the last. Looks like the writers are exhausted. The series began to slowly but surely roll.
For comic book lovers, the series is a treasure! Fans of Robin Hood and the like will love the series, too. I think it is worth watching only the first two seasons.

Superhero movies are different now. Previously, the bet was on maximum “movie” and the films did not look as spectacular as Nolan’s “The Dark Knight” or Anthony and Joe Russo’s “First Avenger” today. Of course, progress does not stand still! Previously, there was no way to make and shoot the way it is today, but, in a general sense, the trend was different. The series “Arrow” aptly hits the bull’s eye, demonstrating an excellent plot, action and superheroes of different gender and caliber!
In "Arrow" there are not only superheroes and action, but also a versatile plot, with a well-designed world, ranging from the Island to Starling City. It is for this reason that the series is qualitatively different from other similar films in which the action prevails and the storyline is forgotten. Separately, I want to like the creators of the series, for the excellent shooting of each episode! From the very first series in Arrow, everything is in its place, the actors are delightful, the dynamics are complemented by an interesting plot and now, when the second season is almost over, it becomes even more interesting to wait for the continuation!
In Arrow, there are many bright superheroes of different genders appearing in the storyline throughout the episodes of the series. The creators of “Arrow” to the smallest detail worked all the Heroes, ranging from costumes and abilities and ending with their story stories. The series indirectly presents the League of Shadows, in the person of the daughter of Ra’s al Ghul and other participants. Maybe in the new seasons, in the most epic battles, we will see the Dark Knight. There are no restrictions in Starling City!
Arrow, released in 2012, gave a lot of bright emotions to fans of a truly bright and unmitigated movie about Heroes and their world. It’s season three and the drive is only getting stronger! The team of the series “Arrow” is rapidly rushing forward – we wish them luck and accurate shots!

Usually series about superheroes, and in general any series, after 3-4 seasons, invariably lose their quality, and gradually but steadily slide lower and lower. This happens for many reasons, the main of which is the script.
At the end of the day, the people who write the story and the dialogue just can’t handle the ever-increasing action and introducing new characters. After all, each new season should surprise and capture more than the previous ones, and therefore more and more viewers are trying to surprise with the introduction of new stories, the return of old heroes, and in the end everything comes to the fact that in recent seasons the creators are trying to return to their origins, but nothing but absurdity on the output does not work.
But the producers are too greedy to end the series at the peak of popularity and continue to squeeze all the juice and money from their offspring, exploiting the same ideas over and over again.
Sometimes, very rarely, common sense prevails over the thirst for profit and the series without losing its quality ends in time. Such series acquire the status of cults and their popularity does not fade for many years. A good example is "In all serious".
But in the case of "Arrow" the bar of a high-quality superhero show drops rapidly. If in the first season the story was new and interesting, and it was interesting to observe the actions and relationships of the characters (although the structure of all episodes was the same), then in the subsequent ones everything begins to fall apart before our eyes.
The mysterious beginning of the story and the feeling of anxiety for the lives of the heroes in the future was put to an end. The characters became static, frozen at one point, the characters ceased to develop, at the same time they began to rush from extreme to extreme, which did not fit well with the plot. All this led to the fact that in season 3, Arrow is stuck in endless pathos, Laurel Lance pours tears into each episode, Felicity also unconvincingly plays a genius fool, and only two are trying to play the roles of detective Lance and Thea Quinn.
Antagonists have changed. They became extremely inconclusive, but this is not the fault of the actors, this is a mistake of the writers. After all, how it was necessary to try to make a very charismatic Vinnie Jones look very charismatic.
From the abundance and variety of protagonists and antagonists, it is very difficult to focus on their plots. Thus, any whole story begins to fall into pieces, like a poorly sewn monster of Frankenstein. And in general, no threat to the main characters is not felt and do not want to empathize with them.
In general, the series structure has changed. The creators tried to complicate the plot and make it multifaceted and more complex. It failed. Instead of stretching an individual story into several episodes, the directors, complicating the action, still try to package it in 40 minutes. This led to the simplification or rejection of any explanation of what was happening.
All works created on the basis of comics, often sin conventions , but at least give a not plausible explanation. In Arrow, for season 3, the characters do everything that can and can not, violating the laws of physics and other unnecessary rules.
If the series had ended after the first season, it would have earned an 8 out of 10 rating. And so...
I only watched this series because there are references to it in The Flash. And if the flash is still bearable, then the arrow turned out just terrible. I don't like this series and here's why:
(1) Actors: This flaw is probably the first to be noticed, since all actors, except Oliver’s sister, perform their roles terribly, they do not play at all, but simply speak their speeches. And the main character is simply disgusting, he does not feel any emotions, and the whole film has one expression on his face. Thus, the actors are lousy, and because of this, the whole atmosphere of the film suffers.
(2) Main Hero: Not only does Stephen Amell play poorly, but his character is spelled out in some ways. We see Robin Hood, who was on an island with thugs, who then decided to run with bows and kill people whose names were written in his father's book. And he kind of does justice by killing them all. But how does he know that they are all bad, maybe his father wrote down debtors or colleagues there, and Oliver just goes and kills them. In addition, our hero runs around in a hood and green paint near his eyes, and thanks to such a reliable disguise, no one recognizes him, although his new girlfriend in the first season 7 and 8 episodes immediately recognized him. In general, the hero is spelled badly and nothing but despondency causes.
(3) Logic: The main character is constantly shot, but from a distance of 1 meter professional killers cannot get into it. Thus, there is no logic in this film, and unfortunately it is absent not only from the characters, but also from the writers.
(4) The usual superhero story about revenge with an admixture of drama. As a result, it turns out a dull and meaningless mass of personnel, without any secrets.
(5) Atmosphere: Because of the terrible acting of the actors, the viewer cannot experience any emotions, since he does not believe in what is happening on the screen, so the series are boring and predictable. It should also be said about the complete indifference of people in this series, so, for example, in episode 7 of season 1 a man was shot and Oliver’s mother could die, but she was not hit. And the people who were nearby did not even look at the corpse, and helped almost not injured mother Oliver. And this is very important, because murder is something terrible and immoral, but nobody cares, because writers and actors can not work with the brain.
(6) Dialogue: as always, there is a lot of pathos, and little meaning. The usual boring nonsense that actors say who are not interested in what is happening.
The result: just a disgusting mass of illogical actions, empty characters, pathetic dialogue and a complete lack of atmosphere. Although I only watched 8 episodes, they were enough to ruin the show. I do not recommend anyone to watch.

And that's just for laughing at the absurdity of it.
10 of 10 Series "Arrow" I began to watch as soon as they released the very first series, and I already from the first series realized that this series, this is something that is a masterpiece. Everything that was happening hooked me from the very first shots, the interest of everything that was happening was skyrocketing, every week with suffering I had to wait for the next series, why with suffering? Because I liked each episode more and more, and in the end, as usual, they gave me a surprise, and you just wanted to know what happened next. The series generally tells about a guy, Oliver Queen, who was an ordinary sloppy, selfish, a guy who did not care about everyone and everything, he walked himself, went to parties, made love, and even cheated on his girlfriend, in general, did what he wanted and what he considered necessary. But once, he leaves in a public boat, along with his father, and the sister of his girlfriend, with whom he cheated, and then the same boat sinks due to some storm, everyone almost dies, but before he dies, Oliver Queen's father gives him a notebook, confident that his son will survive, in which there are people who should be brought to justice, pay for all his atrocities. In general, now I will tell you in detail what I liked the series and what not, although in truth, I liked it all, yes.
As I said, the series impressed me, interested me, I loved it, I then realized that the series is better than this, I have not seen. It has a little bit of everything, a little humor, a great plot, amazing special effects and fights, acrobatics, in general, everything that the most ordinary realistically heroic series needs is here. Speaking of realism, there is no fiction here, there is no fiction at all, for all those series that I have watched at the moment I have not noticed a single fantastic scene, everything is natural, does not go beyond physics, so it looks beautiful and interesting. While watching this series, I even noticed some resemblance to one of the most popular superheroes of our time, yes, as it is easy to guess with Batman/Bruce Wayne, yes, even the house is almost a copy, and here the main character travels only at night, he is very harsh and serious about what he does, billionaire, playboy and so on.
The actors are amazingly selected, and everyone plays as they should, naturally, that during some dramatic scene you believe these characters, believe that they exist in real life, empathize with these characters. In general, the selection of actors is amazing, especially like Stephen Amell, playing the role of Oliver Queen, a serious man, severe, confident in his intentions, in general, the actor is chic. The same can be said about others.
Arrow is a masterpiece with a capital letter, yes, this series hooked me in truth, it has everything you need, the series is so good that I am looking forward to the next series. Interesting, tense, realistic, and really necessary series. In general, this picture is worthy of falling into my “loved ones”. I hope that you like this series, everyone who has not watched the series, be sure to find time for at least one episode, and you will understand that these 45 minutes were not wasted, and you will want to spend the same amount. Good to see you all and thank you.
I like to talk about the state of media culture in our country. Every time something worthwhile comes out in our spaces, I rejoice like a puppy at the sight of the owners. And if good music and sometimes decent movies we still sometimes appear, then with TV series we have a full pi... sorry, the new law prohibits bloggers of all calibers to use a large-caliber lexicon. Let’s say that everything is sad with the series, very sad. Almost all that we have to be content with is disgusting cop-detective crafts and other diverse sitcoms from TNT and STS (in this case, sometimes even good, but this is not enough). Something really worth "from the domestic manufacturer" on our TVs are rarely played. If you don’t want to, you will have to turn to the West or Europe, where the TV series industry has long overtaken the full meter.
The first season of Arrow, a series based on DC comics and the eponymous hero Green Arrow, I enjoyed it a year ago. It was a well-coordinated dark detective action movie in the best traditions of Dad Nolan. Certain problems, however, even then in the adventures of the modern Robin Hood were traced, such as: a clear sagging of dynamics in the middle and a rather monotonous concept of most series. Despite all these moments, the creators managed to finish the series on such a stunning note that all fans in unison screamed: “More!” The generous hand of the production team, assessing the ratings, immediately extended Arrow for 2, and then for 3 seasons. Was it worth it, and did the guys improve on the second try? Hell yeah.
Any minimally versed in the subject of man Arrow S2 will delight. The director and screenwriter tandem in Arrow perfectly knows what strings to pull. Not even Nolan and Snyder had such an obscene amount of fan service. The story is constantly introducing new and new characters from the comics. None of them save in terms of screen time - characters are revealed in all cases. Special emphasis should be placed on the teaser appearance of Flash. It would seem that the producers are probing the ground and give the seed for the future series, but how elegant and tasteful!
The plot of the second season starts a certain time after the end of the previous one. Oliver is isolated from the world after the tragic events in the finale of the first season, but his duty to the corporation of his father and the emergence of a new dangerous opponent force him to take up the bow again. The writers took into account the main problem of the past - the predictable development of events in many series (the new enemy - > investigation - > battle - > victory). Forget it, now all twenty-plus series permeate a single storyline, the finale of which cannot be predicted until the very end. The intrigue is 5+. Unexpected plot twists in bulk. Everything is fine, everything is fine.
This time, the creators are much less embarrassed to speak out on serious topics and began much less ceremony with their viewers, which definitely benefited the whole picture. It is also impossible not to notice the increased budget. Now everything looks even more beautiful, stylish and authentic, and the fighting scenes are staged so that the spirit is breathtaking.
Actors are clearly used to their roles and now look even better in the images, but the music was not normal, and did not appear, but this just does not matter.
What matters is that this time out of Arrow came a real adventure TV masterpiece. Without Fools is a wonderful series that I will actively recommend to anyone who is not indifferent to the topic. Before the release of Flash and Gotham is still quite a lot, and Smallville and Birds of Prey were a long time ago.

Since the release of the first season, I wanted to start watching this series, following the reviews of friends. Everyone made it clear to me that the series was worth the time spent watching. The value of my time is greater than theirs. I think it's a failure. I don’t know what makes my friends and acquaintances in this movie. The game of half the actors leaves much to be desired, the plot is strange, no intrigue, terrible (!!!) dialogue.
This is a typical American series, the whole action of which revolves around a superhero and no less super villains. Almost immediately catches the eye of all the roughness, but if I list them, then from the already meager plot nothing will remain. You can continue indefinitely.
The implausibility of the plot is half the trouble. I was much more annoyed by the absurdity of the verbal component. If the fabulousness of many moments I was ready to endure, then dialogues and monologues cannot be tolerated. You’ll notice it from the first second...I don’t even know how to describe it in a few words. The creators try to touch you with spiritual speeches, but they do it so ridiculously that you will not leave the feeling of unreality. There is simply no such dialogue. It does not happen because the plot itself is fairy tale, it does not happen because our speeches do not consist of one and a half hour monologues, we do not try to squeeze into each of our phrases a heroic or heart-wrenching story, in fact this is the trouble of many films, but only in this the density of such naivety in speeches is so rampant.
The intrigue here is almost completely absent, then its small similarity, which is created not due to the intricacies of the plot and amazing twists, but due to the fact that you from the very beginning just not everything was told. It's been a long time, but you haven't been told. But the hero will definitely wait for the moment when you will be shown his memories, it is unclear why he waits and does not act all this time.
I will do without describing a lot of acting failures, realizing that with such plots and such dialogues to prove themselves difficult.
Actors 5 out of 10
2014 was a record year for the series I watched. In 2014, several new series based on DC comics were released. The impressions from watching them were very good, but then I learned about an older series called Arrow.
“Arrow” is broadcast by the CW channel, which broadcasts many good TV series. I think he's really in good hands.
In its atmosphere, the series is very much reminiscent of Nolan Batman, because everything is so serious, so gloomy and without a huge amount of pink snot (only good love lines). The plot is already understood by many around Oliver Queen, a man who survived a shipwreck and is forced to survive on an island that is very even inhabited. After 5 years on the island, he returns home to save his city, as he promised his father before he died. Oliver will have to face not only insidious and sophisticated villains, but also solve all his family problems that may affect not only his family. To do this, he must become an “arrow.”
Actors:
Stephen Amell plays the main character, Oliver Queen. He is aka “Hood”, “Vigilante” and “Arrow”. I'll tell you what, it would be impossible to find a better actor for this role. Some may blame him for his lack of emotion and say that he has all the emotions in one face. I'm sorry, what should he be? His character has to be so cold, calculating and serious. And after what he experienced, his hero clearly will not be able to be the same as he was before. So I think that's very true. Not only does Steven play well, he also performs almost all the tricks himself, for this he has a separate “respect”.
David Ramsey, John Diggle. Oliver's bodyguard, who later became his partner. John is not only a man of honor, but also a reliable friend and comrade in arms. He often acts as the voice of reason for Oliver. Not just a mountain of muscles, but a man with a soul.
Emily Bette Rickards, Felicity Smoke. A charming IT woman from Queen Consolidated, whose skills are of particular value in Oliver's small team.
Colton Haynes, Roy Harper. A petty thief from a bad and unfavorable neighborhood who only lives on this business. However, after meeting with the Arrow decides to change and do a good thing.
Willa Holland, Thea Queen. Oliver's younger sister. Sometimes she's both a help and a problem. But it can also be understood.
Katie Cassidy, Laurel Lance. Oliver's ex, who plays a key role. She is always looking for ways to achieve justice and justice, but sometimes she crosses the line in her work, and gives herself to modern vices.
Paul Blectorn, Detective Quentin Lance. He's like Commissioner Gordon in the Batman universe. At first he sees the threat in the actions of the Arrow, but later changes his attitude.
Placing:
The series is both action film and drama. Yes, there is room for dialogue that is really worth waiting for and then thinking about who is right and who is wrong. They allow the viewer to create his own assessment of the situation.
Action keeps up. He is present in each series, and what is good is that he is not the same type and not the same “Well, he has Arrows, then all enemies are finished.” It won't be that easy. In general, the series looks like a good Hollywood action movie, but what else do you need?
My opinion:
"Arrow" is a high-quality series about the national avenger. About a hero who does not possess super powers, but possesses the necessary skills. A serious and interesting story of the formation and youth of the hero. This series combines both good drama and intense action. It's really hard to get away from watching. A lot of people may blame the show for going too far, that almost every character in the series is as weak as Arrow or whatever, but I assure you. It is better to see once than to hear a hundred times.
I am looking forward to a new series!
I watched the first season and am now watching the second. The series is very stupid, after a good first series, the series gets worse and worse.
For example, all opponents of the Arrow with firearms do not know how to shoot, miss, even when shooting from three meters, and filmed so clumsy that it is impossible to miss. The relationship of the characters is built so that at the beginning of the series they swear, and at the end they reconcile and so every time, very annoying.
The culmination for me was the last episode of the first season, when the best friend of the protagonist communicates with his father in his office and you can see that the background of the city outside the window is a sticker on the windows and the operator deliberately takes such plans that this sticker is impossible not to notice. Of course, I understand the budget is not big, but the director could show imagination and solve this problem with the right formulation.
Father cop, here's the show's main superhero. With the superpower to be anywhere you need to be on the plot and working on the principle, ' I will arrest you because I want to ' Literally all criminal, civil and administrative cases are not resolved without his knowledge. Why Star City other law enforcement officers, when there is such a shot, I absolutely do not understand.
Oliver’s friend, Aishnitsa, not only can crack any security system and track any batch of goods in any company in three clicks, but also as an IT specialist to conduct a complex chemical analysis of any drug. Wonder Woman!
The series is stuffed with cranberries, Oliver’s Russian is terrible, and his ties to Bratva are terrible. In the second season, this topic is completely revealed so funny that it is even sad.
The actors are funny in their attempts to squeeze a tear, the dialogue is poorly written, the very design of the series is poor. Arrow is just a series, but nothing more. The problem with DC-Comics is that they do not have a clear plan, unlike Marvel, in the development of their cinematic universe, as it became known Arrow and The Flash, are not included in the Snyder saga, although nothing prevents them from being there.
Conclusion: Exclusively for character fans and comic book lovers, the rest are advised to abstain.
A year and a half after the premiere of the first season, I finally watched the series Arrow. Of course, the feelings are mixed, so I will start with the merits.
Stephen Amell is good. Beautiful, stately, with a permanent bristles (original with a beard), he performs all the tricks himself, preparation in parkour on his face, as well as cubes on his stomach. Especially the crossbar trick is impressive. High-quality fights, intricate plot with unexpected turns. All beautiful girls and nice guys (Detective Lane does not count). Everyone who is naked in the frame is certainly a gorgeous physique.
There are complaints about the plot. Some series are frankly boring, not promoting the plot. The main events of the series are the first episode and the last, the best of the season.
It is difficult not to notice the huge similarity of the first series with Nolan’s Batman. A millionaire who has experienced catharsis, who looks at everything with different eyes, is not what he seems. Even the atmosphere of Starling City resembles Gotham in the same way that the seriousness of the Hood resembles Batman. But the Green Arrow with its external similarity to Batman is its complete opposite in temperament. He's a funny guy with a lighter attitude than Bruce. And if you look for an example, Tony Stark performed by Downey Jr. - the perfect Green Arrow.
As a result, we get a complete analogue of Batman, which of all gadgets has a bow and arrows, which, nevertheless, he successfully resists bandits with pistols (apparently, it is more difficult to pull the trigger with your finger than to shoot the arrow behind you). And everything would be fine, but by the 20th episode, the mute expression of the face with ever-pressed lips, which are the height of the expression of emotions on all life's upheavals, is pretty boring. The feeling that for the main character to get angry, surprised, show gallancy or feel guilty is to squeeze his lips, slightly raising his eyebrows.
In general, the only thing that causes you to watch the series is to play sports. There is no acting, the plot is predictable, because there was absolutely no need to remove the hood in front of Tommy, nor to kiss Roy Harper before the injection. A lot of meaningless series. And if the desire to know how it will end, takes over the patience, which is not enough to watch, then in the second season it ends completely.
P.S. Is it really impossible to take a couple of Russian-speaking actors for the series, since there are Russian characters, and they voice Queen when he opens his mouth in Russian? .
There are always doubts before watching new series. After all, seasons like to stretch and often events turn into a blurred picture of unnecessary words and events. That brevity sister talent directors sometimes forget. I thought so this time too.
The plot description was not particularly encouraging: Oliver Queen, handsome, millionaire, miraculously survived, returned home. To be honest, the first series in the spirit of “welcome home”, feedback of the events on the island and the craving for revenge were not particularly impressive. Yes, the hero is handsome, you can't take it away. Upon his return, he immediately began to restore order in the city using a bow and hood for cover (here is an example of the absent deduction of all residents in attempts to find out who this mysterious vigilante is, which is very entertaining to observe). And when this theater of the absurd reaches its climax, and you start to think, why did I start watching "this", the most interesting thing appears - mysteries. Heroes begin to play underground games. It turns out that Oliver isn't the only one keeping secrets. His family is a secret inside a secret. And the more carefully everyone tries to hide the truth, the more they are drowning in the consequences of their own secrets. Therefore, if the beginning of the series seems boring and strained, then closer to the middle of the season the plot becomes more dynamic and unpredictable.
Let's talk about actors. Like most American TV shows, the project involves actors that few have heard of before. Producers are counting on this, having painted the schedule of actors for a couple of years ahead in case of high ratings. Katie Cassidy, John Barrowman and Jessica De Gau - I've been lucky enough to see them on other projects. Stephen Amell for me on the screen for the first time, but, nevertheless, with the role of the “people’s avenger” coped perfectly.
“Arrow” is another comedy from DC Studios. For comic book fans, that's it. Here you can see little about the philosophical narrative of the meaning of life. Action, chase and attachment to the emotional experience of the characters - that's what the directors managed to combine, making the viewer worry with the characters.
