The irony of advertising I didn’t want to see this creation at first, but due to some circumstances that have nothing to do with me, I did have to watch this film. The plot is as simple as five cents. Absolutely nothing new, except for the campaign of the main characters in the police. It turns out that the main characters of the film are absolutely invisible roles, it was a discovery for me. The film is absolutely not worth watching just because of the old proven phrases, because in the new version they are mixed with young and less successful jokes, therefore, do not cause violent emotions. Also to the old film added a bunch of unnecessary, reducing the story, in my opinion, as much as possible.
The quality of the film is just something. I've never seen such a bad writer's job. The script as such was almost nonexistent. This is just an old archive, which was added to second-rate jokes and hastily put “soul-touching” dialogues – monologues of old people about old times. The director shocked me. Well, you can’t love your creation so much, and it’s still that you used to make “The Watches”, these films are not an example to follow!
Special effects. You may be wondering why there are special effects in a love story film, and why there is a separate conversation about them. Yes, I was also surprised and scared for real. All these rapid approximations and distances, the desire to show the exaggerated scale of what was happening, in all cases seemed more than ridiculous. In moments with special effects, it seemed that now Zavulon would appear on the screen or Gorodetsky would start shining a flashlight and order everyone to come out of the dusk. It's just awful and out of your mind? Come on, this is Timur Bekmambetov, and his motto in life is probably “repetition is the mother of learning.”
As for the actors, I laughed from the heart. I sincerely feel sorry for Mrs. Brylska, for her they could not even make a sound. Myagkov, Yakovlev, of course, not bad actors, but still pull the film on second-rate phrases can not. Bezrukov is hilarious, his favorite phrase, as if without it, and so shows off as he can. Boyar's down in my eyes even lower than it was. Perhaps one Khabensky drew a little film. But keep in mind, not because of his skill and wonderful play, no, no, sorry for the expression. He looks like a drunk! I believe, drink and do not dry out.
Conclusion: From Ryazanov, only a memory remains. You have to be able to make a good movie.
