Meg Foster studied a profession in New York (Naibohood Playhouse). This institution is famous for the fact that almost everyone accepts for the first year of study, and almost no one transfers to the second year. Foster endured the entire curriculum, apparently with the steely gloss in her eyes that became her trademark in film and on stage.
With the exception of Weekend at Osterman and Emerald Forest, many of Foster’s films are usually not distinguished by the depth of thought and richness of the screenwriter’s imagination. On television, she was at first more lucky when she played in the title role in the TV show “Scarlet Letter” (not to be confused with the film of the same name), and later signed a contract for the series “Kagney and Lacey”.
In the second season, Foster was replaced by another actress. Officially, everyone said that she plays her character "too tough, too strong." Unofficially, everyone agreed that her Chris Cagney was too bloodthirsty for a decent America. This situation, of course, slowed down her career on TV, but in the movies she still take willingly, it is a pity that not always use her undoubted talent to the fullest.
