Jean-Louis Trentignant was born on December 11, 1930 in Piolian, France. His father was a wealthy entrepreneur. Jean-Louis himself grew up very shy and modest boy, he dreamed of becoming a racing driver, like his uncle.
At an early age he was interested in poetry. At the insistence of his parents, Trentignan entered the University of Aix-en-Provence. But after a while, the young man became interested in theater and dropped out of university. He took theater lessons from Tanya Balashova and Charles Dullen in Paris.
He later married actress Stefan Odran. In 1951 he made his debut in the theater. He played small roles in the plays “To each according to need”, “Macbeth”. After that, he entered the Institute of Cinematography. But his first film he makes only twenty years later.
In 1955, he made his film debut in If Guys of the World. In the same year, he became famous thanks to director Roger Vadim and his film “And God Created Woman”. Trentignan played the role of a young husband who is madly in love with a young woman of incredible beauty named Juliette. She thinks only about men and entertainment.
In 1959, the young man returned to the cinema after serving in the army. Christian Vadim offered the young man to play a serious role in the new film “Dangerous Liaisons”.
In 1966, he starred in a famous film.
