American actor Nick Nolte was born on February 8, 1941 in Omaha, Nebraska. Like his father, a professional footballer, Nick played sports since childhood. However, due to his dislike for the self-discipline of a professional athlete, he never succeeded. At the age of 20, he began to become interested in theater skills and for more than 10 years of playing on stage in provincial theaters, he outplayed almost the entire theater repertoire.
Nick made his television debut in 1969, playing a low-profile role in an episode of a Disney series. After his debut, he played in more than a dozen TV series and films, until in 1976 he was invited to the role of Tom Giordash in the series Rich, Poor Man. This role made him popular and marked the beginning of real success in his career.
In 1977 he starred in the film “The Abyss”, which was a great success in many countries.

Nick Nolte was married three times. He has two children – a son born in 1986 from one of his first marriages, as well as a daughter born in 2007 from his current life partner Clythie Lane.
