Dylan Moran was born on November 3, 1971 in the Irish town of An-Wawy. After Dylan dropped out of school at 16, he spent four years idle, taking short-term odd jobs. He discovered the talent of a comedian thanks to the small comedy club Dublin’s Comedy Cellar, where he was first a spectator, then a performer, and in 1992 the winner of the prestigious award. At the age of 24, Dylan received the Perrier Comedy Award and embarked on his own UK tour.
The first role of the Irishman was Janis Ionis in the sitcom What do you want me to be? In 1999, he landed a small role as Rufus in Noting Hill. Then, in 2000, a resounding success.
Black Bookshop sitcom It takes the actor to a different level. The image of the intellectual Irish misanthropic drunkard came out so natural and funny that the producers found it necessary to release a sequel to The Bookshop, and then a sequel. All three were met with praise. Interestingly, the creation of the image of the host Bernard Black belongs to Dylan Moran himself, perhaps it embodies the four-year experience of idleness and drunkenness of the actor.
Moran becomes quite a successful English actor, and continues to travel the world with his show “Monster II”, which was released on disc. The most famous films with Dylan Moran are “Zombie Named Sean” and “Run Fat Man, Run!”
The actor prefers not to talk about his personal life. Dylan married Helen Moran in 1997 and chose Glasgow as his family's home. /
