Galya performed her first roles in front of the mirror in her mother’s outfits, but really “sickened” with film art when she went with her parents to the film “Joyless Street” with Greta Garbo in the title role.
In school years, however, she enthusiastically participated in scientific expeditions organized by her parents, and after graduation she entered (to the delight of her father and mother) at Moscow State University for biofaculty.
But after a year of studying, Galina Vodyanitskaya transferred to the physics faculty, and after the third year she entered VGIK. Her film debut took place in 1944. It was filmed.
