"Morozco" "Injured the old lady!" But few people know that it was the voice of the magnificent character actor George Millar. By the way, the costume of Grandma Yagusenka for this actor came up with himself - among other things, he was a magnificent sham. And with Rowe they were connected by many years of friendship, both personal and creative, thanks to which the cinema images of Baba Yaga, Koschei the Immortal, the Beast of the Sea and many others were born.
Georgy Frantsevich Millar was born in Moscow, November 7, 1903, in a very rich and noble family. His father was Franz de Milieu, a French bridge engineer, and his mother was the daughter of Irkutsk gold miner Elizaveta Alekseevna Zhuravleva. Unfortunately, the father of the future actor died when the boy was only three years old, and after 1917 he and his mother were left without means of subsistence. For security reasons, the name was changed, and his perfect knowledge of German and French Millard concealed for the rest of his life.
His family after the death of his father moved to Gelendzhik, and when George became an adult, he began to work in the local theater as a prop. However, in his heart, he dreamed of one day going on stage, memorizing all the roles in performances and once he had a happy chance: the actress who played the role of Cinderella fell ill, and George volunteered to replace her. This is how Millar’s acting career began with the female role.
He received his acting education at the Junior School at the Moscow Theater of the Revolution (now the Mayakovsky Theater), where he entered in 1924. On the theatrical stage, the actor played a lot of roles remembered by the audience: Duke Albano in Lake Lul, Mokronosov in The End of Krivorylsk, Pikel in Hop-la, We Live, the apothecary in Romeo and Juliet, Attaché in Golgotha, Boltikov in Inga), Imanguzhu in The Poem About the Axe, Mr. Gawker in The Street of Joy and Count Ludovico in The Dog in the Manger.
In the cinema Millar played about thirty roles, took part in the voice of seven dozen films and hundreds of animated films. /
