In one of the magazine articles about Jürgen Vogel, he was called a “pretty criminal”. This charming actor played many negative characters. What is the only one of his characters in the film “Free will” – a maniac who got into a mental hospital after the rape of three women, spent 9 years in a mental hospital and underwent psychotherapy. And many of his other heroes of the same kind: murderers, drug dealers, robbers – if the deeds of all his heroes6 are conditionally collected in the biography of one character, he would be given a life sentence in any country. His characters do not cause much sympathy. But, almost unconscious sympathy of the viewer, almost always.
Biography of Jurgen Vogel (Jurgen Vogel) does not very fit the standards of an ordinary acting career. He was born into a family of a waiter and a housewife. In the theater school in Munich, he spent exactly one day and concluded that “they can’t teach him anything there.” A little starred in commercials, changed a lot of classes. All the time he studied his future profession independently, in practice. He spent two years in Berlin, where he rented a house with actor Richie Mueller. His first role he played at the age of 16 in the film “Children of stone”. And they talked about him as an actor 8 years later, after the release of the screens of the film “Little Sharks”. There is a term in cinema: the actor plays himself. So in "Little Sharks." Vogel "played himself" literally. His hero accidentally gets to the casting in the theater school and ... wins the competition. However, in each of his subsequent roles, Jürgen Vogel also "remained himself." Perhaps that is why they are so affecting the viewer.
Vogel has never played either world-saving supermen or genius villains. His characters are neither super-superior nor super-noble. These are ordinary people who have fallen into difficult circumstances. They are often to blame for their own troubles. And to get out of difficult situations also try, who can. Someone does it. Some people don't. /
