When Nick was seventeen, one of his childhood masterpieces, Archie's Nightmare, was first shown on television. After graduating from Sheffield School of Art, Nick began studying animation. He attended the National Film and Television School in Beconsfield and began working on his first professional film. It was a pilot edition of The Great Walk.
Experiments with plasticine brought the director world fame, as well as a pleasant bonus - the first nomination for the Oscar. But fame did not confuse the great animator, and after “The Great Walk” followed by other series – “The Wrong Pants” and “Clean Shaving”, which also turned out to be “Oscar-winning”.
In 1995, the picture “Clean Shaving” was released, which received the cherished statuette. In 2000, the world premiere of a feature film by Peter Lord and Nick Park took place.
