Thanks to her mother, Paula Brightman, Sarah begins her career at the age of three. After a while she studied at an art school. In 1972, she appeared in the play Me and Albert at London’s Piccadilly Theatre. At the age of 16, Brightman took part in the filming of the television series Pan’s People and since 1978 began to perform with the ensemble HOT GOSSIP, where he received first recognition thanks to the composition “I Lost My Heart to a Starship Trooper”, which took the 6th position of the UK Singles Chart. In 1980, Sarah decided to start performing solo with classical vocals, and in 1981 she performed in the New Theatre (London) in the musical Cats, authored by Andrew Lloyd Webber. Three years later, Brightman and Webber are legally married. In 1985, Sarah Brightman performed with the
Plácido Domingo The Requiem. Then there is participation in the play “The Merry Widow” and the musical “The Phantom of the Opera”.
In 1988, she released her debut album, The Trees They GrowSo High, which featured folk songs. In 1990, Brightman and Webber broke up, and the singer decided to move to the United States. Already there is her acquaintance with producer Frank Peterson, with whom the singer in 1993 records and releases the collection “Dive”, and then in 1994 there is a pop rock album “Fly”.
The popular singer was invited to tour in many countries, and in 1995 Brightman went on a large world tour, during which he visited Denmark, Sweden, Canada, USA. In 1997, the album “Timeless” appeared, during the first month of sales the disc sold more than 3 million copies and became platinum.
